The hallways of Riverdale High were cold which didn't surprise Chris as much. Having been something expected after the news of Kevin Keller finding Jason Blossom's body. Everyone and their mothers didn't know how to react to said news but still showed up at Sweetwater River to watch the Blossom boy's body be pulled from the river. Chris decided not to show up since he knew if he did, he wasn't sure how he would react. Getting into an argument with someone would only make matters far more stressful and dreadful.

Not to mention that with what happened with Tommy, Chris usually didn't feel well. Like his stomach was twisting in knots to the point where he would throw up. So, all of last night was sitting at the toilet throwing up, a bottle of water lazily in his hand. Comparing the experience something close to death, but how would he know. He's never been in such an experience.

If he was being honest, he hadn't ever done something like that. Practically kill someone. Sure, he had his times in fights, but never killed someone or ever planned on doing so. Even if he wasn't the only suspect and person responsible for Tommy's last breath, Chris still felt disgusted by what he did. But only to a certain extent, keeping in mind that Tommy was a worthless piece of shit and had it coming when he did what he did to Kaitlyn. But being in the cold halls of Riverdale High continued to remind him what he'd done. His inner voice whispered hushed words that he couldn't quite decipher but knew there had to be some sort of connection.

Walking down the hallway, Chris caught sight of Veronica. Not able to take his eyes off the way her dressed complimented the curves of her body. So many dirty thoughts ran through his mind as he took a puff off his cigarette. When he noticed the small white box in her grasp he didn't think for a second as he snatched them out of her hands. A satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Already feeling the warm gaze belonging to the girl be placed onto his back.

A shocked look etched onto her face as she watched the boy walk away. "Uh, excuse me! CJ!" She called out as the boy opened it to see rather plain cupcakes. Nonetheless, still tempting to take one since they belonged to the girl he wouldn't outright admit he liked. "Thank's for the cupcakes." He joked with a grin. Veronica couldn't help but smile from how beautiful the boy's smile seemed to be. It is the far most genuine thing she's ever seen in her entire life.

She wiped the smile away from her lips and quickly followed after the boy. Her heels clicked across the ground, maneuvering between students that passed as she finally snatched the cupcake and box from his hands. "They're not for you. They're for Betty." Veronica told him and Chris nodded as he had heard about the whole situation at Thron Hill after the dance.

"Well, I know what isn't mine." He stated as he placed the cigarette between his lips. Stuffing his hands in his pocket while staring at the beautiful girl in front of him. "And what would that be, CJ?" She asked as she craned her head up with a slight tilt.

Smirking, Chris took the cigarette out of his mouth and leaned down to her ear. His hot breath fanned her exposed neck, causing shivers to run down her body. A tingling sensation forming in her stomach as she couldn't help but smile.

She gasped when his lips brushed her neck teasingly. A tiny and quiet moan escaped her lips at the feeling only causing Chris to feel a slight tightness in his pants at the sound. Wishing he could hear it every night and every day.

"You."

His voice was as smooth as butter as he kissed the girl's neck softly. Veronica bit her bottom lip at the feeling as Chris pulled away. Seeing her copper eyes darken with something Chris hadn't seen from her but wanted to see more. Lust.

As they kept eye contact, Veronica could feel herself being pulled into Chris's grasp. Not physically, but feeling herself becoming drunken from the look he was giving her. It was one of affection and need that was specifically directed towards her. Ever since they met, Chris has ignored all the other girls that usually hit his line and focused on Veronica. Sure they hadn't talked much, but Chris wanted her. No one else except her.

With the shock of his words, Veronica wasn't able to get a response as Chris slowly slid his hand to her hip. A gentle grip appeared as Veronica stared at him. Not able to respond as he moved around her. Making sure that his hand ran across her stomach gently and let go as he walked away. Veronica felt like his touch was imprinted on her body and she liked it that way. Wishing she could just touch his hair and scratch his beard while laying in bed.

A feeling of frustration formed in Veronica's stomach as she turned to face him but only saw his back. "You are an absolute tool, you know that?" She asked as Chris smiled as he turned to her. Placing the cigarette between his lips as he shrugged. "Only for you." He said smoothly and left her with a wink before turning the corner.

Veronica stood in the middle of the hallway with a slight blush on her lips. Glancing around as she moved a strand of hair behind her ear before going to her first class. Smiling from the interaction with the infamous CJ.

A ball of paper flew through the air and hit Chris in the back of the head. Turning to see it belonged to Riley and Kaitlyn who trying to mask their laughs. Flipping the pair off, Chris was about to turn back to his work, but the sound of the intercom in the office turning on got his attention.

"Good morning, students. This is your principal speaking." Weatherbee began and Chris grumbled as he leaned back in his seat. "There have been many inquiries about the upcoming pep rally. So let me state clearly...it is happening as scheduled." His words caused some words in the class to be mumbled in excitement before the teacher shushed them. "Now, on a less felisitious note...if you could give your attention to Sheriff Keller."

Chris glanced at Kaitlyn who gave him a shrug. "Most of you already know the details...but your classmate Jason Blossom's body was found late Saturday night." He began and Chris's jaw clenched at the mention of his friend's death. "So as of the weekend...Jason's death is treated as a homicide. It is an open and ongoing investigation." The Sheriff stated.

His voice cut out abruptly and being replaced by Cheryl Blossom. "And may I interject? Neither I or my parents will rest until Jason's death is avenged...and his cold-hearted killer is walking the Green Mile to sit in Old Sparky and fry." She stated. "I, for one, have my suspicions. Hashtag "Riverdale Strong"." Like that, she was done talking and Chris looked at Riley with a confused face.

"If you know anything that could help us find and apprehend Jason's killer...or anything about what happened to him on July 4th...I strongly urge you to come forward immediately." Sheriff Keller told them. "You can speak with me or Principle Weatherbee. A death like this wounds us all. Let's not let Jason down."
