Even when he was wounded and close to death, his mind was focused on the woman who's lips tasted like cherries and could say the kindest things but the moment you crossed her, would slay you down with her intelligent witty silver tongue; and a heart that was filled with love in a world of hatred and curses created by the monkeys.
His hand clutched on the bloody area of his wound where his arm was removed from his body as he managed to barely escape his almost untimely death of Yuta Okkotsu finishing him off. The attack was enough to destroy the whole school and to nearly kill him if he wasn't lucky enough to escape only without his arm and now severely weakened.
"It's wonderful", he weakly breathed as he step forward with small stealthy steps. "The whole thing is absolutely wonderful. It truly is, the power to change the world", a sadistic grin with a mournful sad undertone of his loss against Rika Orimoto hid as he continued making his way to escape.
"If I had Rika, there would be no need to sneak around gathering curses. Next time, I'll get my hands on her for sure", he stopped weakly in his tracks, his back now against the wall as his eyes could barely keep themselves open as he noticed a certain individual in front of him. "You're late again as usual, Satoru. To think you'd be the one here at my end, are you going to make sure that my family is safe?"
Satoru stared down at the man with only a blank expression but his heart was ripping in pieces, knowing what he had to do next. "Every last one of them managed to escape to safety", he answered Suguru honestly.
Akina was not too far away as she could hear the two conversing. She saw Satoru's eyes before he left to deal with Suguru Geto, the pain they were holding. His heart was breaking but he had to stay strong, for the students, for the world, for her.
She stood behind the building, listening in on their conversation. The two had a strong history together where Satoru and Suguru were once the best of friends, they were unstoppable and it all ended because of one person and one mission that changed it all. Suguru Geto was the reason for the attacks in Kyoto, the elementary school and the Hapina Shopping District. It was no surprise but she didn't except him to go all out to hunt Yuta Okkotsu for Rika Orimoto.
"Tell me. Do you have any last words?", Satoru in return asked his best friend. His voice becoming more solemn as he knew what was coming.
Suguru backed himself against the wall to rest his body as his hand gripped the shoulder that lost its arm. "No matter what anyone tells you, I hate those monkeys. But I never held any hatred for those in Jujutsu High School, nor Akina, how can I even hate her at all? . I just couldn't wear a heartfelt smile while living in this world", he answered only honestly.
Satoru listened intently to his answers. Hearing how he couldn't hate Akina, it made him feel relieved in a way but hearing his words, it started to weigh down on him. It was heavy, even if it was carried well enough to be invisible to others.
"Suguru", Satoru spoke the name of his best friend before he started to walk closer to the hidden gap between the two buildings. He bent down to where Suguru was sitting weakly and fickle from his injuries.
Akina couldn't hear properly what Satoru said to Suguru but all she heard next was silence and then a swift soft slash to merciless kill the man he still holds close to his heart. A heavy heart weighs in on Satoru Gojo as he manages to smile everyday, it's all too visible for Akina as she could somehow read him so clearly. For now however, the students had to be checked on but later she will be the world where he doesn't need to be strong all the time to be Satoru Gojo, just to be himself.

Yuta Okkotsu, laying unconscious started to hear the names of his friends calling out to him from his slumber of exhaustion when he released all his power using the limit of Rika Orimoto.
"Hey Yuta! Are you okay?", Maki asked the cursed boy, showing concern as she called out to him.
"Mustard leaf", Toge Inumaki who stood behind both Maki and Panda as they surrounded the shy and peaceful personality boy who showed a really badass side to him wanted to make sure he was okay.
"Come on! Wake up! Yuta!", Panda called out next.
Yuta's dark blue colored eyes slowly started to flutter open as he weakly stared up at his friends who were concerned that he wasn't going to make it.
"Good. He's awake", the cursed corpse's whose body was ripped and torn apart slightly helped the body of Yuta up along with the cursed tool user.
Yuta turned his head, feeling relieved to see that his friends were all okay, well with only mild injuries. "You're all here. Maki, you're okay. Inumaki, whoa Panda your arm hasn't healed", seeing fluff coming out from Panda's ripped arm caused the cursed boy to freak out for a bit.
A soft smile played on Maki's lips, "Chill out dude, we're all doing way better than you are right now", she assured her friend. Her usually tough and stoic demeanour now softer and more caring towards the cursed boy.
"Unlike these other two losers, my arm can be fixed later", Panda joked by also stated truthfully as his face only bared a sincere expression. "By the way, thanks for saving us Yuta"
"Salmon", Toge nodded in agreement with Panda.
Hearing how his friends were grateful that he saved them and how he was able to save someone instead of harming them with Rika's power, it made the soft and gentle natured boy tear up. No words could express how happy he was right now.
"Yuta", the cursed boy heard his name being called by the curse, his childhood friend and sweetheart was shaped into. Remembering the vow he carried out and the kiss he sealed it with to Rika, Yuta stood up as his gaze stayed on a patient Rika who's power had been fully submerged to defeat Suguru Geto once and for all.
The trio of the original first years watched in confusion as Yuta stood up and started to walk towards the cursed little girl. "Sorry about that Rika, I didn't mean to keep you waiting", he apologized to his once past lover.
"What's the matter? Yuta?", Panda called out to his friend.
The cursed boy flinched in his tracks as he nervously turned his head to face his friends, "Well uh. You see, in exchange for borrowing her power I kind of promised to go and live with Rika from now on", Yuta sheepishly admitted to his friends, awaiting for their understandable angry reactions to his crazy decision.
"What? Are you crazy? Don't you know that means dying! What were you thinking you idiot?", Maki scolded her friend who saved her life, not feeling happy that he had now exchanged his life to save theirs even if she was grateful for him.
"Well I was caught up in the moment I guess, I don't know", Yuta answered Maki.
As the two bickered (well mainly Maki) neither of the teens noticed that the cursed form of Rika started to wither away and eventually showed the true form of what once was a little girl that Yuta used to play with and vowed to marry. Rika Orimoto stood now as a human being in front of her lover and his friends she helped save.
The three teens and cursed corpse stood, their eyes baffled at Rika standing in front of them.
"Rika?", Yuta stared at the little girl, her face holding no emotion at all but her eyes only held sadness and heaviness.
Coming their way, a sound of soft clapping echoed across the sky as an individual unrecognizable to many without his white bandages wrapped around his face started to walk up to the group of four along with his coworker, Akina Tengan; who only stayed silent with a stoic expression.
"Congratulations. You managed to break the curse", Satoru informed Yuta with a proud smile.
"Who are you?", all four students asked in unison with confusion.
Satoru's eyes furrowed as an annoyed expression covered his face, "I'm good looking, Satoru Gojo", he answered briefly and with the delivery of the answer, it made Akina snicker slightly in silence.
"I thought the theory Yuta came up with sounded interesting, so I requested an investigation into the facilities. The information for Rika's family came to me a long time ago but Yuta's history was full of holes at best. That's when it finally came to light. You're the descendant of Sugawara Michizane, which makes us super distant relatives!", after Satoru Gojo finished explaining, he started to cheer and to celebrate. His bright eyes reflecting his current bright attitude. Only Akina knew, he was in so much pain and tried to cover it up for the students.
All four students looked at Yuta, they were stunned as they heard the news. "Suga?", they all asked in unison.
"Who's Suga?", Yuta questioned the four students, still not being all too familiar of Jujutsu history.
"One of Japan's four great apparitions", Maki answered irritably.
"He was a super big shot sorcerer who worked with a super powerful sorceress named Ayaka Amamiya, aka big sis Aki's ancestor", Panda filled Yuta in with more information which surprised the cursed boy quite a bit.
"Tuna", Inumaki answered last.
"You we're right the whole time Yuta. Rika didn't place a curse on you, you placed a curse on Rika", hearing those words from Satoru Gojo. Yuta's memory flashed back to the grim day of her death, remembering that her head was crushed by the car, how blood soaked the road and how the pedestrians and the driver who killed her panicked. Yuta was only frozen on the spot, he couldn't accept that his friend was dying. He didn't want her to go. He loved her too much to accept it.
'That's right. At the time I refused to accept Rika's death'
"Now the one who placed the curse has canceled the bond", Akina took her turn to speak to Yuta, "Which means you are free Yuta. Since Rika, the person who was cursed doesn't seem to seek avengement nor holds only retaliation towards you. The curse on Rika is now broken", the sorceress continued speaking, but as she held a brave smile she knew this day was heavy on everyone, including herself. This much at least could bring a bit of peace to Yuta's heart.
Suddenly the cursed boy fell to his knees as sobs started to fall from his throat. Everyone watched him on the sidelines as tears started to fall in the form of drops on the destroyed concrete ground. "It was all my fault, wasn't it?", his hands gripped on the fabric of his pants that settled on his knees. "I turned you into that that form. I hurt all those people and I nearly caused everyone to die when Geto came after me"
Yuta clutched his fingers into his dark colored hair as he started to sob loudly. His break down was breaking the sorceress's heart as she heard him blame himself. A grieving boy only wanting to save his friend from dying, it was a heavy burden to carry for Yuta, a curse manifested and weighted down on the cursed boy for years.
As Yuta continued to sob heavily, blaming himself for everything that occurred, Rika walked up to the boy she loved more than life itself. Her tiny body gently hugged him close as she whispered to him gently. "Yuta, thank you. For giving me more time and letting me stay by your side", hearing those words from Rika herself, Yuta stopped for a moment as his tearful dark blue gems opened slowly.
"During the six years I was cursed, I've been happier than I ever was before", she reassured Yuta, her words holding only sincerity and a gentleness. Her love to Yuta was true, her eyes and actions spoke it all. Yuta could even feel it as his sobs fell from his throat and tears still rained heavy like waterfall from his eyes and falling to the ground.
Time moved only so slowly, the others watched how Rika embraced Yuta showing that she held no ill will or feelings of retribution for him. The sun started to slowly rise from the dead of night, basking the four students and the two teachers in a gentle glow of the golden hour.
Rika's arms released Yuta's head of the hug as she stepped away, leaving the cursed boy stunned for a moment as he turned his head up and faced her. "Bye Yuta, take care", Rika's hand gently cupped his cheek, the rising sun started to glow over the body of the little girl, her form turning from the corrupt ashes of hellfire that burned her with Yuta's curse now turning to stardust of peace of being released.
Yuta's glossy eyes watched how the little girl he once played with and vowed to marry one day started to disappear and what she left him behind was a teary eyed smile and a few cheerful words he remembered her by, "and don't cross to my side any time soon, okay?", she asked. She still hasn't changed, not even after turning into a vengeful cursed spirit turned by her childhood friend.
Yuta could barely keep himself up but he nodded, only communicating with tearful eyes and muffled sobs as he kept his lips closed.
"See you later", Rika's whole body turned to stardust, clear colored orbs started to fill the golden hour of the sunrise that blended with the dark purple sky above them that was still glimmering with stars. The other students watched in fascinating of the departing girls body turn to sparkles that floated in the sky, Akina and Satoru stood together.
A small smile crawled on the sorceress's face as she watched the scene unfold. At least they were able to bring peace for now, even if was a short while and this would be the only war that could end with a smile of a few people's faces.
Yuta stood up from the ground, taking a stand to try again at life and be strong and brave. A soft smile that suited his gentle dainty face as he watched Rika depart. He was now free but now he could live life, having a reason to keep going forward to find a light that helped him bring Rika to one. Now it was his turn to continue helping others as he promised himself to do so.
(Akina's Outfit)
It was a busy day. A day of checking the injured students and sorcerers were getting the not medical but mental and emotional care that they needed. To make sure all possible residents were not killed in battle or dragged in carelessly, a day of handling the higher ups reports and showing reports of possible leads in Kyoto.
It was heavy and draining, especially if you were one forcing a smile for your happy and carefree attitude. It was heavy, even if you carried it on for a majority of not only your career for being known as the "strongest" but your entire life.
That's what Akina knew about Satoru Gojo. No matter how hard he often tried to hide it today, she could see clearly that the battle was getting harder for him, even if the war was over outside his world, his inner war in his own world never ended even through years of constant battle.
During the night time where everything had settled down and everyone and even them (when this opportunity was rare for them), Akina took the chance and started to walk slowly through the hallways that lead to Satoru Gojo's bedroom where she walked in many times for various reasons. All those times either from laughter, being drunk together, listening to each others stories, ranting about each others days, they held each other in high regards.
The sorceress stepped forward, inhaling a deep breath as her hand moved forward, her knuckles softly knocking on the wooden door of her coworker's bedroom door. She exhaled that very same breath she inhaled, awaiting patiently for Satoru to answer her at the door. She didn't mind if she waited for some time, he must've been really busy from the whole days worth of work.
Eventually with what seemed like a minute at most, Satoru reached the door. His iconic bright smile decorating his features shamelessly as he saw one of his favorite person to talk with and to annoy. "Oh hey Aki, what brings here in the middle of the night?", a soft forced chuckle fell from his lips as he asked the question. Akina's expression didn't change from stoic one she was currently wearing as she looked at the eyes of the strongest sorcerer.
"Satoru. I know you're in a lot of pain, you don't have to keep pretending for me", the words didn't match her stoic serious expression, they were gentle, kind and something that took the sorcerer back.
"Aki, I'm doing okay. I'm serious, the war is over and Geto has now been defeated. I'm now free to relax if only for a little bit", the strongest sorcerer laughed, throwing his arms back, displaying his carefree attitude that often annoyed others and made it impossible for them to work with him.
Akina only stayed silent, she stepped forward, embracing the man who held the entire world on his shoulders. Her hugs wrapped his body in a hug, holding him tightly as much as her height could provide her in that moment. This stunned the sorcerer but he didn't resist it. It felt warm, just like her.
"Aki, are you okay?", he asked the sorceress, wanting to know why she was currently embracing him.
"Satoru. You don't always have to be the strongest", her voice, only speaking in a gentle whispery tone. He could hear her clearly, he always heard her but unfortunately it made him weak. His hands only reached the door that was partially opened as she entered and once it was close, it was only him and her. It all started.
The tears fell from his eyes, his eyes that flowed crystal blue even in the darkest of times to be the light of power and hope for those to be on the same side of their powerful god, the eyes that provided him his unlimited power, now rained heavy of weakness formed into teardrops that started to cascade down his cheeks.
His arms embraced the woman who held him close, he could barely hold the soft sobs that threatened to fall from his throat. "Satoru. It's okay. You don't have to hold it back anymore, it's just me now. No one else is watching", she assured the man, showing that it was okay. He could let it out. He could be weak even if it was only her around.
Falling to his knees, Satoru Gojo reached the ground, Akina let him as she went on her knees as well. His voice cracking as he could barely even speak a cohesive sentence from the sobs that fell from him.
"I-I killed my best friend Akina. I had no choice but too but I didn't want to, it just hurts so much I don't know what to do", the man sobbed loudly, his grip never letting go of the sorceress who held him close, his face hidden in and buried in her breast and her tears soaking her plain black t-shirt that she would wear to sleep.
"I know Satoru. It must hurt greatly", Akina's words only remained gentle and understanding to the man who barely allowed himself to be weak unless he was alone, allowing himself to be named the powerless god that haunted his consciousness in his dreams and awake with the daily reminders of his trauma's built in the form of a corrupt higher society that ruled their world and his best friend's corpse that rested in the morgue he couldn't bring himself to visit. She listened and allowed him to cry and let it all out.
Her fingers ran through his soft snow white hair as she stared down at his heavy bloodshot cerulean eyes that cried before only secretly before she arrived and had to keep himself as a face that smiled and annoyed everyone else around him.
The room was only filled with sobs of Satoru Gojo as he was on his knees, crying and begging for it all to end. Knowing that it wouldn't because of him being born as the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and how he would have to continue defending the world from evil that no one defended him from as a child.
Akina could feel the tears fall from her eyes as she could feel Satoru's heaviness, anger, frustration and grief. It was all very heavy for him to deal with, the burden had weighed him down for so long and this will most likely continue weighing him down until the day he dies.
"You're doing so well Satoru. If no one ever told you, I'm so proud of you and I'm sorry for all that you had to and still have to endure", Akina's voice was now cracked as she spoke to Satoru, holding him in her grasp. "I'm so proud of you, I always have and always will be. And I'm always here for you"
All he needed to hear, all that he needed to hear from her were those very words she spoke right now. He sobbed heavily and loudly, not even caring if someone heard him. He couldn't pretend to be the strongest in the moment right now. He just needed someone to hold him and to tell him everything was going to be okay and here was the sorceress who he held close to his heart and could never find anyone else that fit perfectly in his heart like she did.
She silently allowed the tears to fall down her cheeks as she held him close, allowing to sob as much as needed until it only turned into soft cries and a heavy silence that filled the room.
He stopped, staying in the position of his face buried in the crook of Akina's neck. His breathings, soft as he inhaled her scent of her vanilla shampoo and conditioner. It was sweet, it smelt like home and that's what she was to him.
The sorceress's hands gently touched his face, her hands gently caressing his pale tearstained cheeks touching them as if they were glass about to be shattered at any careless action. Her hands lifted his face up by his clear cut jawline and her fingers gracefully wiped away his tears that overflowed in his eyes. His face leaned into her touch, allowing himself to relax and let go even if it was going to be for a moment. He knew with her she would protect him just like he would protect her, his heart was broken from years of pain that built up but when she held him like this, he could feel it become less heavy and he could feel it open with love for her.
Leaning forward, Akina's lips gently touched the tip of Satoru's nose, giving it a soft kiss. A small smile grew on the sorcerer's face as she started to feel the soft kisses starting to gently flutter his teary face. Her lips touched his forehead, his teary cheeks, his soft eyes that continued having soft tears fall from them and eventually touched his lips with a soft peck.
Feeling himself become lost in her soft touch and feathery kisses that reminded him that she would accept him no matter what as the man whether he was the strongest or not. She would still love him no matter what.
"Come on now, let's watch any show of your choice on Netflix", gently lifting the man off the ground by wrapping his arm around her neck, Akina started to lead Satoru to his bed. "You want me to bring you some Oreos too, I have some saved in my room if you want", she suggested, laying the grieving and exhausted man on her bed.
"I would love some or anything sweet that you bring me", he answered weakly, allowing himself to lay on his bed.
Akina leaned in, her lips softly touching his cheek, "I'll be back. I'll go get some food and my laptop", with that, Akina slowly left the room wiping away her tears that she didn't realize were still there until now as she went to fetch the items she promised to retrieve.
Satoru laid in his bed, his body and weight heavier than the world but also felt a bit lighter. He allowed himself to cry and to be vulnerable around Akina, he felt his heart beat this time it was softer but it was still pounding like crazy. The way she held him in her arms, her soft kisses and how she was always there for him at his weakest. He couldn't get the sorceress out of his mind no matter how hard he tried.
As he waited for her, his mind was only filled with her. With Akina. She was in his mind 24/7 whether he wanted it or not. His heart always beating harder and strong everyday when he was around her. While he couldn't find the strength to show her how much she meant to him, he wasn't going to take this moment for granted.
"I'm back Satoru", he heard Akina's soft voice call out to him, when he peaked from the covers of his bed, she was holding not only holding her laptop but the snacks and sweets she promised she would bring back for him. She really did care for him. She was so kind and loving. He would be so damn lucky if he could call her his.
She sat herself on the bed and opened her laptop, allowing Satoru to find himself a comfortable position as he adjusted himself with pillows and Akina opened up the Netflix website on her computer with the wifi the school provided. "Here, you can pick the show you want", she showed her coworker the various options of series and movies he could choose from as she started to open a packet of oreos and giving him the first one.
Satoru taking the chocolate cookie picked a choice of Netflix and held his lady close to him. His eyes focused on the screen of the series he picked and tried to keep up with the plot but he could only focus on the sorceress who sat in front of him. She was also only partially focused on the series as she munched on the sweet snacks she brought.
The two stayed silent in each other's presence and held each other close. They wanted only to enjoy each other's company and even in silence, it didn't make it awkward. It only made it more comfortable for the both of them, even if they were a pair who could talk and debate on a topic for hours, silence was rare for them as a pair but this silence, was something that neither of them truly minded. They were truly at home in each other's arms and presence.
