WITH THE TIME THAT JACK left the bunker, Aurora has been quiet and interacted with her family less than usual. Sam, Dean, and Castiel would ask if she was okay, but every time they would attempt to talk to her, Aurora would only nod or hum in response.
She was never this quiet and it worried the older men. Aurora would barely come out of her room and her mental health went downhill drastically.
Aurora was currently sitting on her bed, staring straight ahead at nothing as she fidgeted with the ring on her finger. It was the ring Dean used to always wear, but seeing how much Aurora liked it, he gave it to her.
She finally decided to get up and leave her room, mostly for food, but if she ran into her family, then that would be a plus. Walking in the hallways of the bunker caught both Sam and Dean's attention and they stood up so quickly and practically sprinted their way towards the girl.
"Rory, you're out of your room, finally. Look, we have a lead on Jack," Sam said, making Aurora's eyes widen. She didn't want to get her hopes up, considering that they have been looking for the Nephilim for a month.
"A-Are you sure?" Sam nodded his head and Aurora couldn't help but form a small smile on the edge of her lips. Despite the fact of what Aurora was smiling about, Dean felt happy, happy that his daughter showed joy for the first time in a long time.

With the leads that the Winchester's were able to collect, they found themselves at a rehab facility. Aurora didn't know why, but she felt nervous to see Jack, perhaps it was the fact that she hasn't seen him in a long time, or maybe it was something more.
The Winchester's walked down the hallway in the facility, to lead them to a door where Jack was grabbing a girl's wrist. Aurora was the first to go out the door and when she saw Jack, her heart beating with joy and fear.
"Jack!" Jack turned around to the voice he all too adored and his eyes widened in awe, missing Aurora immensely.
"Aurora?" Before Jack or Aurora could say anything else, the Nephilim got hit on the back of his knee and socked in the jaw harshly by Kaia. Aurora quickly went by Jack's side and helped him up.
"She hit me." Aurora chuckled joyfully, missing Jack's voice dearly.
"Yup, she got you good, Sunshine," Aurora said while helping Jack up to his feet. He wanted to run after Kaia, but before he could, Dean stopped him.
"No no no no no. Hey, we're not letting you near her until you tell us what's going on."
"No, I need her."
"Ouch," Aurora whispered to herself with a nervous , but deep inside, she felt her heart pang with a tinge of jealousy. She assumed Jack meant it in a different context, but it still hurt her to hear those words come out of his mouth and not referring to her.
"You need her like you needed Derek?"
"Yes! You don't... I'm– I'm doing this for you."
Aurora furrowed her eyebrows, not comprehending what Jack was saying, but then he started to explain how he needed a dream walker to enter a different universe and when he did, he saw Mary, alive in the Apocolypse World. The Winchester's were dumbfounded, not believing that Mary was alive, but Jack showed them what he saw and Aurora couldn't believe it.
Her grandmother was still alive, hurt, but breathing which is why they had to act fast. So the hunt for Kaia was now their number one priority.

The car ride was rather silent, the solo roaring sound of the car revving made it awkward for Aurora. The teenager didn't even notice her facial expression looked glum, catching the attention of the Nephilim. Jack turned his head and Aurora's sad look made his heart shatter. He reached over and wrapped Aurora's hand into his, slightly scaring the girl at first, but when she noticed this action, she squeezed his hand back.
The pair were about to scoot closer together but was interrupted by Dean's booming voice filling the air.
"You were right. About Mom. You were right. This whole time, we should've been looking for her."
"Dean, I was just hoping. I didn't know. Anyways, it doesn't matter. Now that we do know–" Sam was interrupted by Dean abruptly.
"We find her, no matter what it takes." The car was silent once again and Dean looked over the rearview mirror to see Aurora and Jack silent.
"Kids, you okay?"
"Yeah, Dad, I'm fine. Just a little stressed." Jack squeezed her hand tighter, Dean still not being able to see their physical touch due to the darkness.
Everyone was waiting for Jack's answer, but he stayed silent. Aurora turned her head towards him and continuously called his name for a good few seconds.
"You thought... You both thought that I could do that, that I could kill Derek." The Winchester's felt a rush of guilt wash over their faces and Aurora was the first one to speak.
"Jack, we weren't sure what happened. We thought it was something like the security guard."
"Yes, exactly like that," Sam agreed with his niece.
Jack continued to have an upset look on his face, still believing he was evil. With his subconscious, Jack sat right next to Aurora and embraced her side tightly, a hug desperately needed for the Nephilim.
Aurora was taken aback at first, not expecting a hug so suddenly, but when she felt the warmth from the boy, she hugged him back, her hands gently rubbing his shoulder in support. Dean now saw the pair in each other's embrace and as much as he wanted to yell and scold them, he couldn't help but feel a little happy that they had someone who made them relaxed and calm.
"Jack, we uh, we thought you went to look for Lucifer," Dean said, making the Nephilim sit up, an incredulous look plastered onto his face.
"You mean Lucifer? I was scared. I was upset. But... why would I look for him? He's no one to me. You, Castiel– you're my family." Jack paused slightly before turning to the girl next to him. "Especially you, Aurora," Jack whispered, earning a smile from her.
"Yes, we are. Finding Mom, you... You did a good thing, kid. You did a real good thing."
The smile on both of the teenagers' faces were priceless. Aurora was happy that her father is finally easing up with the Nephilim and Jack was happy that he was getting on Dean's good side.

When the group rescued Kaia from the angels, Aurora stood by Jack's side at all times, the two of them protecting each other. The three teenagers were scrunched up in the backseat of the Impala, Jack's hand modestly resting on Aurora's thigh, making her blush immensely.
Aurora thought Kaia was a nice girl, just troubled with the places she visits when she dream walks. The girl reminded Aurora of her ex-girlfriend back in high school, which didn't work out, due to her cheating and unfaithful personality.
During that time, Aurora was cooped up in her room for the longest period, just like how she was when Jack left. But that was the past and now Aurora had her supposed soulmate by her side with a connection she has never had with anybody, besides her dad and uncles.
Suddenly, the Impala ran Aurora out of her deep thoughts, the sounds of the tires skidding and the smell of burnt rubber filling the air. The angels that attacked them before came back and wanted Jack, which Aurora would never let happen.
The group entered the ship and finally went to the top floor so they can dream walk. The angels were outside, continuing to try and break down the warding while Jack was trying to find the Apocolypse world in Kaia's mind.
Kaia let out painful screams, making Aurora look over at her with worry. Before anyone else can move an inch, the Winchester's, Jack, and Kaia were nowhere to be seen on the ship, vanishing into thin air.
When Aurora regained her vision, she noticed that she wasn't in any type of fearful or monstrous world. She was in a room, decorated with boyband posters and fairy lights. Aurora furrowed her eyebrows, confusion wavering over her face. She walked out the door of "her room" and went downstairs cautiously, her blade in hand for any potential monsters.
Her scent led her to the kitchen where something delicious was being made. Making her way to the kitchen, her eyes widened in fear and surprise, her knife dropping as it made a clattering sound on the floor.
"Oh, hey honey, dinner will be ready in five." Aurora couldn't move. Kate Montera, her mother, was standing right in front of her. The last time Aurora saw her mother was in the hospital at six years old, the smell of blood reminiscing in her nostrils as the crimson red liquid was still on her dress from her mothers body.
"M-Mom?"
"Yes? Are you okay, baby?" Aurora didn't answer as she embraced her mother in a hug so tight, she knew she wouldn't escape her grasp. Not again.
"Woah, are you sure I shouldn't check your temperature, you rarely hug me like that, it's usually your father." Aurora let out a small laugh, choking back on sobs that threatened to escape her mouth.
"U-Um, where is Dad?"
"Right here, baby!" Dean hugged Aurora from behind and lifted her up slightly into the air, so he can make his way to the kitchen. He was wearing a plaid sweater, with his hair slicked back, a style Aurora would have never seen her father wear back in her world.
Dean kissed Kate and Aurora couldn't help but smile at the happy couple. In her world, Aurora has never seen her parents actually together, so this was something she never knew she needed to see.
"Okay, let's have dinner now shall we?" The trio sat down on the dinner table which was placed nicely in the two-story home. Aurora felt in her gut that this world was too good to be true.
And she was right. Nothing ever went perfect for her and good things, come with a big price.

so aurora is in an alternate universe where her mother is alive and dean married kate! i hope you all enjoyed this chapter!!
