THE WINCHESTER'S WENT TO A MOTEL after a long drive on the road. Aurora was in Dean's arms, her legs wrapped around his waist as she was playing with the ring on Dean's finger.

Aurora was on the verge of falling asleep, but that was interrupted when Sam turned on the lights to reveal Uriel and Castiel standing in front of them. The child felt her father jump slightly in his place, wondering what was wrong.

"Winchester, Winchester, and mini Winchester."

"Oh, come on!" Dean said, in frustration, hoping his family could catch a break.

"You are needed."

"Needed? We just got back from needed." Dean's voice rose, knowing that the angels will have rigorous tasks for them. When it came to the angels, nothing but the pain came along.

"Now, you mind your tone with me."

"Uriel, we just got back from Pamela's funeral," Aurora stated in a tired and saddened tone. Castiel's posture grew stiffer at hearing Aurora's voice. It made him sad to hear her in such a dejected state. Uriel on the other hand, didn't care about any of the Winchester's.

Dean started to rant and yell at the angels making Aurora jump awake. She backed away slightly from her dad's arms, scared from his loud tone. Dean noticed and immediately apologized to her.

"I'm sorry baby," Dean whispered to his daughter.

"Dean, we know this is difficult to understand--"

"And we...don't care." Aurora glared at Uriel and squeezed her father's hand tightly, indicating to him that she was royally getting annoyed. He squeezed her hand back and attempted to comfort her by rubbing her back.

Uriel started to explain to the Winchester's how angels have been getting murdered by demons and they captured Alastair. At first, they were confused, considering how angels are very powerful against demons, but they further explained how they wanted Dean to interrogate him to try and get answers out of him.

Dean at first rejected them, but Uriel told him that he was not asking. In a matter of seconds, Dean, Uriel, Aurora, and Castiel were out of the motel and into an abandoned warehouse.

"Woah, Woah, Woah, why did you bring my kid, she shouldn't be here."

"Whoops," Uriel said sarcastically, obviously not caring about Dean's words or the child in his arms.

"It's okay, Daddy. I'll be here to protect you." Dean was about to protest until Castiel spoke up.

"I will watch over her, Dean." At first, Dean wasn't sure whether or not he should trust the angel, but seeing how comfortable Aurora was with him, he complied.

After a lot of consulting, Dean went inside the room Alastair was being held captive at. Aurora was outside with Castiel, her playing with the hair tie wrapped on her wrist. The pair stood in silence for a while until Aurora went running into another room, tears drenching her shirt.

Castiel furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, not really understanding the human emotions Aurora was going through. But sensing that she was in distress, Castiel followed the child.

"Aurora, are you alright?" The child turned around and faced the angel with bloodshot eyes. Castiel gave her a look of sympathy.

"Not really. I always wanted to be strong for Daddy and Uncle Sammy...but I can't hold it in anymore." Another tear fell down the child's face making Castiel worry slightly.

"What's bothering you?"

"My Mommy. She's dead and I miss her so much. I never told Daddy or Uncle Sammy because I want to be happy for them as much as I could, but it hurts, Cas, it hurts."

Castiel never felt this feeling before. The feeling of such sadness and despair. The sight of Aurora made him feel these emotions and it hurt him to see the small child cry. He hesitantly spread his arms out, not sure if he was doing this right.

Aurora soon saw his open arms and ran into them, immediately feeling comfort from the angel. Castiel hugged Aurora, him feeling the comfort as well. It was safe to say that they both really needed that hug.

The sound of Alastair's screams soon pierced Aurora's ears, knowing her father is the one inflicting the pain. Castiel squeezed Aurora's body tighter, sensing her fear and anxiety.

The electricity started to buzz and lights started to flicker, making Castiel raise his head up. Without turning around, Castiel immediately knew who was behind him.

"Anna."

"Hello, Castiel. Hello, Aurora." Anna gave the child a smile as she returned it.

"You shouldn't be here. We still have orders to kill you."

"Somehow I don't think you'll try." Anna attempted to convince Castiel to feel the emotions of doubt and how he was certainly having second thoughts about using Dean as their can opener for Alastair and how they were very much alike.

As Anna tried to convince Castiel to side with her, he widened his eyes incredulously wondering if he was hearing his sister right.

"I am nothing like you. You fell. Go." Castiel grabbed Aurora's hand and turned away from the other angel.

"Cas."

Castiel turned around, his eyes deep with intimidation. "Go."

When Anna flew away, Castiel's tough composure soon softened with Aurora by his side. Seeing the stressful look in the angel, Aurora gave him a small side hug as he gladly returned the favor.

Aurora fluttered her eyes open to see her body resting on a chair in a place that seemed to be a hospital room.

When she fully regained her vision, Aurora saw Castiel in another chair across from her. "Uncle Cas?"

Castiel shot his head up, caught off guard slightly from the child calling him 'uncle,' but soon gave her his full attention.

"What happened? Where's Da-" before Aurora could finish her sentence, she saw Dean, with multiple cuts and bruises on his face. She instantly ran over to him and hugged his body.

Dean woke up with the sight of his daughter caressing his sore muscular body. He weakly hugged her back, feeling comfort from his daughter.

"Hey, princess."

"Hi, Daddy."

"Baby, can I talk to Cas alone, please?" Aurora wanted to protest, but she saw the desperation laced in his eyes so she followed her dad's wishes.

"Uncle Cas, I haven't slept well, can you please um..."

Aurora put out two fingers and tapped them on her forehead as if it was Castiel making her fall asleep. Once Castiel knew what she meant, he silently nodded and placed his dingers on her forehead, making the child fall asleep in his arms.

Aurora was soon fast asleep as she laid on the chair in the hospital room. One thing she forgot to tell Castiel was to not tell her father that she was in pain.

Pained from the fact that her mother is dead and she really needed her. When she wakes up, Aurora will certainly be having a big talk with her family.
