THE WINCHESTER'S SOFTLY GREETED THE MAN that walked out of Mia Vallen's place while Jack gave him a cheerful 'hello' to the man, making Aurora smile at the Nephilim. Walking into the home, Sam and Dean asked to talk to the doctor, but the receptionist said denied, saying they were about to close.

But before they could walk out the door, a lady wearing a lacy olive-green dress walked down the stairs.

"You've lost someone recently?"

"No."

"My mother." Dean and Jack both said simultaneously. Dean gave him a look and Sam interjected, saying how they all lost "their" mother and they were going through a difficult time.

"Mia Vallens." Mia shook everyone's hands and then guided the group to another room. "Please this way." Before Jack could walk any further, Dean harshly grabbed him on the shoulder, making Aurora turn her head to her father, not leaving Jack alone with him.

"Listen, Mr. Spock, you speak when I tell you to speak, okay?"

"Yes."

"Good." Dean walked away to follow after Sam as Aurora walked with Jack.

"I'm sorry about him. My dad... can be uptight at times. Well, scratch that, almost all the time. It's just he feels the urge to protect his family at all costs and when Cas and my grandma died the same day you were born, he just couldn't handle it."

Jack simply nodded, understanding what Dean was going through. Aurora noticed the distraught look on Jack's face and her eyes were saddened seeing him in this state. She embraced the Nephilim in a small hug, which he gladly reciprocated before they broke apart and walked into the room Sam and Dean were in.

"Your mother, did she pass suddenly?"

"Uh, yeah."

"Mm. Most of the people I see are in the same boat. No warning, no goodbye, no closure." Aurora shook her head vigorously, generously feeling that exact emotion when her mother, Castiel, and Mary passed away.

As much as she hated to admit it, Aurora missed Castiel a tinge more compared to Mary or her mother. Perhaps it was the reason that the angel was in her life longer compared to the other two females. She still remembers the strawberry scent of the Minnie Mouse plushie Castiel bought for Aurora when Sam and Dean were out on a hunt and she got upset. She was seven years old at that time and to this day, Aurora has that plushie, sitting in front of her bed, every night giving her the memories of Castiel.

"Right, yeah. Pretty much the same for us. Um... So how does this usually work? You know, with your patients?"

"Usually, they just start talking about the person they've lost."

Aurora sat between Sam and Dean while Jack sat across the Winchester's. Dean started to ask Mia about catharsis and she described how her "program" is a wide range of things such as talking, meditation, and journaling.

"Dean? You journal?"

"Ever since I was a little girl."

Aurora let out a stifled laugh, making Sam elbow her in the ribs slightly as the teenager recomposed herself. Aurora drained out everyone's voices, not really wanting to be there herself. For a while, the voices started to completely drown out as Aurora was slowly drifting to sleep, but that got interrupted when Sam yelled at Dean, her being in the middle of it.

"You had something with her I never had. And now I'm just supposed to accept that I never will have it?" Sam quickly stood up from his seat, leaving a dumbfounded Aurora to what she just heard.

Dean took a large swig of alcohol from his flask, earning a sad look from Aurora. As in the past, Aurora hated to see her father drink alcohol out of anger or sadness, knowing how that road usually ends.

"Dad, please." Aurora motioned for her father to put away the alcohol and he sadly stared at her before obliging. He told himself he wouldn't drink in front of his daughter, but at this moment, he failed to remember.

"Sorry, baby," Dean mumbled, more to himself, rather than his daughter, but Aurora understood. When Dean put his flask away, he looked up to see Mia shaking her head at the older man.

"Problem?"

"You just upset your brother so much, he had to leave the room. And Jack? Look at him. He's terrified of you." Aurora looked towards Jack and saw his stiff posture.

"Nah. No, we're simpatico. Right, kid?"

"We're simpatico," Jack said flatly, his stiff posture still tight on his body.

"Convincing. You're angry, Dean."

"And?" Dean questioned Mia, obviously starting to get annoyed at the woman.

"And if you don't want to do anything about it, that's your business. But you're aiming it at everyone in your life." Before anyone could say anything, Sam barged through the door, with his gun in hand aimed and ready to shoot.

Everyone stood up and got in a defensive position. Aurora was about to pull Jack behind her body, but before she could, Jack already beat her to it, him moving in front of her to protect her instead. Dean gave the pair a suspicious look but turned his attention back to the shapeshifter.

"Kid, one day, you're going to have to let me be your shield," Aurora said jokingly, despite the current situation they were in.

"Not a chance," Jack said with a smile before turning back to Mia with his serious face.

"I found hair... and teeth. You must've shed your skin, what, a couple of hours ago?"

"What's going on?" Jack asked, completely oblivious to what was happening.

"She's a shapeshifter," Aurora said sternly to the Nephilim and he nodded his head. He remembers Aurora teaching him about monsters and their weaknesses and shapeshifters were one of them.

"No! No. No. I am what you say, but I have never killed anyone."

"Then why are you here", Aurora asked in a serious tone. Her glare didn't go unnoticed by Dean and he let out a small smirk of how his daughter's glare was getting better at being horrifying to others.

"I shift into the person that they've lost so that they could see them one last time so that they can say goodbye." Aurora seemed skeptical at first, but she could sense genuineness in Mia's voice.

Mia claimed she had an alibi and Dean went to check it out as Sam stood cautious with his gun still in hand. Jack was still shielding Aurora, not daring to let her get hurt any more like she had in the past. He wouldn't allow it.

Eventually, Dean walked back into the room, him saying her alibi was cleared and authentic, making Sam question his brother, shocked to hear that there might be a shapeshifter who has never killed before.

"Yeah, I'm surprised, too."

"Okay. Well, if you're not doing this, who is?"

"Oh, God. I think I know." Mia went to grab a box from a drawer, Sam and Dean raising their guns in defense and Jack stiffened his posture just in case the shapeshifter was planning anything.

Mia showed a picture of her ex-boyfriend, Buddy who is a deranged killer who liked to see the pain on his victims' faces when he killed them. When they were done talking with Mia, the Winchester brothers walked out of the room, Aurora and Jack hot behind their heels, ready to kill the shapeshifter.

Aurora woke up with an immense amount of throbbing pain in her head. She noticed she was chained to the edge of a fireplace, handcuffs digging deeply into her wrists, making red marks appear to surely leave bruises later.

"Hey, Rory. Baby, wake up." Aurora fluttered her eyes open, her vision still blurry, but able enough to see her father was the one talking. She tilted her head to the left to see Jack on the other side of Dean, he completely knocked out.

"Oh, god, Jack!" Aurora whisper-yelled, hoping to wake up the Nephilim. The worried face was enough to make Dean notice his daughter's eagerness towards Jack, making him angry.

"When we get out of this, you and I are definitely going to have a talk," Dean said quietly, but sternly. She scoffed at him but soon nodded her head. Dean turned to Jack and consistently called his name, hoping to wake him since the two shapeshifters were preoccupied arguing.

"Jack, you gotta snap these cuffs." Jack finally gained consciousness but was still weak to use his powers.

"I can't."

"Yes, you can. Sammy believes in you, and when he believes, he'll go Hell for leather. Even Aurora does too." When Dean mentioned his daughter's name, Jack's ears perked slightly, remembering that he had to protect her at all costs and to obliterate any threat to her.

Suddenly, Buddy walked over to Aurora and was inches away from her face. She backed away in disgust, but that was limited since she was cuffed to the wall.

"Get away from me you psycho creep." Buddy only smiled wickedly and Aurora's heart beat was beating faster

"Oh, I love it when they're feisty. Makes the kill even more intriguing."  Sam walked back into the home and Buddy imitated Dean's voice, luring him into the room they were in.

Dean's blood was boiling in anger as Buddy even dared to get close to his daughter. He pulled his wrists away from the fireplace, wanting to kill the monster right now. He still wouldn't go anywhere, but he desperately wanted to kill the monster.

When Jack noticed Aurora's uncomfortable expression, his face grew angry, his eyes glowing gold. He was about to use his powers at Buddy right then and there, but before he could, Sam walked up the stairs, his voice escalating towards the room.

Buddy was aiming the gun at the door, but before Sam could get shot, Jack finally used his powers. Buddy was floating in the air as his eyes widened at the sight of what was happening. Sam dodged the bullet as Buddy was thrown onto the wall.

Before Buddy could get up and shoot Sam, the tallest Winchester shot the shapeshifter in the heart, him falling down on the floor, the horrible night finally coming to an end.

Aurora and Jack were both in their pajamas, almost twinning with the same color coordination. They both went out of their rooms so Jack could get a glass of water and Aurora wanted Cookie Crunch.

Jack turned to the girl and tilted his head in confusion at the box she was holding. Aurora noticed where Jack's vision was and she laughed.

"This is cereal. Literally the best food in the world. You want to try some?" Aurora held out the box and Jack gladly took a handful of the small cookies. He took a bite into one of them and his eyes glowed with joy, making both of the pair smile brightly.

"It's really good!"

"See I told you so!" Aurora and Jack both smiled and laughed together, but that was interrupted when Dean came into the kitchen to grab a couple of beers. He walked over to the pair, making both of them shut their mouths and freeze in place at the intimidating adult.

"Hey. You did good today, Jack." Aurora and Jack both let out a smile. Aurora then hugged her father abruptly, catching Dean off guard, but he didn't question it. After all of the fighting they did ever since Castiel's death, their relationship was strained slightly and he desperately needed a hug from his daughter.

When Dean left the kitchen, Aurora and Jack looked at each other, both of their eyes trained on one another.

"See Sunshine, I told you Dad will come around. He just needed time." Jack smiled at the thought of Dean finally liking him, but he then furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, wondering why Aurora called him "Sunshine."

"Aurora, why did you call me "Sunshine?"

"Well because Uncle Sammy's nickname for me is "Flower" and you are a bright ball of sunlight and happiness, so together we are a "sunflower" which so happens to be my favorite flower." Jack tried to put two and two together, making Aurora let out a small laugh and once the Nephilim finally understood what she meant, his smile beamed brightly.

"I love that name. I am your Sunshine." Without notice, Jack embraced Aurora in his arms and she hugged back, definitely needing a hug from him after this long day. Aurora and Jack were about to go into his room to binge-watch Netflix, but before they could, Dean stopped them.

"Hey, hey, where do you two think you're going?"

"Jack's room, to binge-watch Netflix."

"Oh hell no-" Dean was about to interject, but before he could, Sam cleared his throat, indicating for Dean to let them be. Reluctantly obliging his brother, Dean spoke again.

"Fine, but keep the door open three inches." Aurora nodded her head as if it was obvious and then grabbed Jack's hand and took him into his room.

"Yes, Dad, we will. Goodnight Uncle Sammy. Goodnight Dad."
