     ¸.*☆*.¸ SYNOPSIS ¸.*☆*.¸

WHEN THE SMOKE of the battle clears and good remains victorious, Aurora Deveraux finds herself plagued with grief. The building she once called home was in ruins, the bodies of her classmates, mentors, and friends scattered around the wreckage of the war. The students being left to put the pieces of their home back together. Only minutes after the Death Eaters are captured, Aurora finds herself spinning, her world going black.

AURORA wakes to find herself in the Hogwarts Infirmary, though it appeared a bit dated and untouched by the horrors of the war. The Gryffindor soon learns it is no longer 1998 but the mid-1970s. Finding herself back in time, face to face with a younger and much alive Dumbledore who seems to know more than she does, Aurora is merged into the student body at Hogwarts.

         AND SOMEWHERE along Aurora's journey, she finds herself discovering magical bonds, rewriting history, and falling in love.

      THIS BOOK will be an au, things about the prophecy, books, and movies will be changed. hence the title, rewrite history. Please excuse the poor summary, I despise writing them.

      THIS IS NOT a teacher x student story. The story does begin in the 90s during the Golden Trio Era but, as stated in the synopsis, Aurora is sent back to the Marauders Era where her and Remus will be of the same age.

ADDITIONALLY, without spoiling aspects of the plot and storyline, Remus does not know Aurora in her original timeline; meaning, he does not know that she later travels back in time. Please do not misunderstand this and refrain from making comments about this. The reasons why is explained throughout the development of the plot, but Golden Trio Era Remus does not know Aurora in the way he does in the Marauders Era.

     THE REASON for Aurora being sent back will be explained, I promise. Feel free to drop theories in the comments if you want but, I know people will think I've forgotten— I haven't. There is plot haha.

     REGARDING PETER: Peter WAS a marauder, no matter how much we hate him, the boys saw him as family, which is why his betrayal hurt so much. So Peter will have a role in the story and as for if he does end up betraying them, I suppose we will wait to see.

     I DO not own The Harry Potter movie series OR books. All rights go to the rightful owners and writers. I do want to state that I in no way support JKR or her viewpoints but, I do give her the rightful credits to her works to avoid copyright issues.

     HOWEVER, I do own Aurora Deveraux and any other original plot and/or character that are made up and not within the The Harry Potter series. Again, I do not support JKR and her bigotry disgusts me. This is a safe place and I do not tolerate any sort of prejudice or bigotry.

     PLEASE REFRAIN from stealing anything regarding my characters, plot, dialogue, or anything that is unique to this story or created by me. Plagiarism is illegal, yes, even here on Wattpad. Stories that contain aspects unique to my book will be reported and the account responsible will be muted and reported as well. My stories and characters are precious to me and I will not have them stolen.

     MATURE TOPICS; mentions of mature topics including but not limited to; violence, sexual content, death, etc. I am still debating whether smut will be included or not. (If it is, they will be of age of course).

ALSO: Aurora has a severe case of survivors guilt later on in the book; along with trauma and other mental (and some physical) results of the war that she experienced. In this book, her body language is key. She is a child soldier who has experienced so much in her life; do not judge her for feeling pain. She may be a character, but she displays characteristics common in humans, she is not emotionless, so do not expect her to be. As you will see/read, she has endured so much suffering and almost everything she does is result/response to that; including her body language, trust or lack thereof, her defensiveness, her inability to open up at times, etc. All I ask is that you remain respectful of this in the comments. While she is fictional, some of her experiences may resonate with readers— so please do not belittle her or her experiences.

THAT being said— if any themes or aspects of plot depicted in this story become too dark or hard for you to read— do not feel guilty for deciding to stop reading. Your mental health is a priority and I cannot ever be upset with someone for prioritizing that. This book is full of heavy topics, themes, storylines, etc., so do not feel like you are obligated to read something if it becomes too much.

MILD SLOW-BURN. But, this could change seeing as I am both indecisive and impatient.
