LEO DIDN'T HESITATE BEFORE SHOVING the house key through the door, eagerly shoving it open and carelessly dropping his backpack on the nearby chair before leaping over the couch. Ziggy soon followed, standing still in the doorway before shuffling inside and closing it behind her. she watched as the boy swiftly approached his mother and stepfather.

"where are the robots?" he semi-shouted, "i ran all the way home, and i wasn't even being chased!" he yelled excitedly. Ziggy chuckled from next to him, suddenly being reminded of all the times she watched Trent chase him down the block. Donald didn't hesitate to grab a glass and pour the boy a cup of water, seeing the sweat tracing across his forehead. The man glanced at Ziggy, holding up the pitcher of water and raising his eyebrows, silently asking if she would like a glass. she shook her head, folding her lips inward.

Leo raised the glass to his lips, feeling the water glide down his throat as his mothers words reached their ears.

"Leo, the robots are gone, we just dropped them off at a recycling facility." at those words, Leo lowered the glass, spitting the liquid from his mouth with wide eyes.

"what?" both leo and Ziggy exclaimed simultaneously. her smile now dropped, and her thick eyebrows were pinched together as she stared at the husband and wife.

Donald watched with confusion, slowly speaking. "yup. they're being melted down as we speak. . . don't tell anybody, they're probably toxic." he laughed.

Ziggy's heart was thumping wildly against her chest, and she released a shaky breath, bringing her slender fingers up to the roots of her hair, "oh, my God."

"no! we have to go get them! they're not robots, they're real!" Leo shouted. Ziggy watched as Tasha's expression hardly changed, it was clear she was convinced that her son was going insane.

"okay, see? this is why i didn't want those things around. they're delusional." she hissed at Donald.

"Tasha, it's really Adam, Bree, and chase!" she emphasized, the woman shook her head with a frown, reaching out to pull the Sloane girl in for an embrace.

"Kids, stop." Donald made his way around the kitchen counter, positioning himself to stand in front of the two.

"look, when i was your age i had to say goodbye to a lot of my friends."

Ziggy made a face, confused on where the conversation was headed.

"there was Lava man, and Stretch Legstrong and JoJo Bigs and all of his friends in the space Cantina." the inventor rambled. Ziggy's face fell as she listened to his words, was he kidding?

"you've got to be kidding me." she mumbled to herself, "those are all action figures."

"more like fully posable pieces of my heart." he struggled to say. Ziggy tuned the family out. if they weren't going to believe her and Leo, how would they help the bionic teens? she rolled her bottom lip in-between her teeth, anxiously gnawing on the skin. she couldn't help but feel completely useless, and was suddenly reminded that the turn of events was all her fault.

Ziggy sat on the edge of her mattress. the soles of her shoes grazing the floor beneath her. her slender fingers curled around the edge of the mattress as Leo loudly entered her room, flinging the door open without a care. his jaw was set with determination, and his dark brown eyes were narrowed.

"Ziggy. it's time." the boy announced dramatically. She turned her head towards him, her green eyes rolling in annoyance as she exhaled.

"time for what, Leo?"

"to save adam, bree, and chase! i have a plan." he whisper-shouted. Ziggy frowned, her eyebrows pinched together as she slightly straightened her posture.

"what is it?"

"all right, you ready?" Leo asked, wiping his sweaty palms on his jeans. Ziggy folded her arms over her chest, nodding.

"yeah. you know what, i'll stay here and keep look out." she casually glanced around as she stared at the bags of garbage that surrounded them. the two had managed to sneak away from the house and track down the recycling plant that would smash adam, bree, and chase to pieces. the we're currently in the back of a garbage truck. the plan would be that they would be dumped into the plant and save them from the various hazards.

the only issue was, Ziggy certainly did not want want to land in a nasty pile of garbage. she wasn't ready to take that massive fall, and leo could tell, she was backing out.

"what? no way," he shook his head, grasping her cool hands, "come on, we'll go at the same time. ready? three, two. . ." he yanked the both of them down, a shrill escaping Ziggy's throat as she shut her eyes. her stomach was knotted at the height of the fall, but before she knew it she had slammed into a bag of garbage, a grunt escaping her lips as she pried her eyes open.

"eww!" she grimaced, forcing herself to her feet. she stared at leo, seeing the boy had unfortunately landed on the cold and hard ground.

"ow!" he hissed. Ziggy stifled a chuckle and extended her hand toward him, helping him stand.

"Leo? Ziggy?" Adam questioned with wide eyes. him and his siblings were at the end of the garbage disposal unit, standing beside a steel door. Chase's hands were reaching toward it, ready to free themselves from a death sentence.

"no, it's Oprah!" Leo agrily shouted whilst waving his arms. his eyebrows were viciously arched as he placed his hands on his hips. Ziggy forced a tight grin, her tone flat as she leaned into her hip and pumped her fist.

"woohoo. we're here to save you." her nose crinkled at the stench of the garbage.

"get us out of here!" Leo followed. Just then, The steel door was pried open, revealing Donald Davenport and his wife. Ziggy's eyes went wide as the three lab rats flinched at his unexpected presence.

Adam quickly went stiff, "hello, we are robots." all eyes turned to him, seeing him move as though he was an animatronic. Chase gave him a heavy side eye, his upper lip curling in annoyance.

"dude, i think he knows."

Adam's shoulders fell, tossing his head back with a loud groan, "ugh, well, now he does!"

a silence followed just before fog filled the garbage unit, Ziggy flinched at the hissing commotion, her eyes going wide as Leo loudly shouted in terror. the wall behind them had began to shift, forcing the space to shrink.  Ziggy's heart thumped beneath her chest as she heard Chase's voice echo, murmuring something about him having an idea. then, they had disappeared, and Ziggy couldn't help but scoff. this is what I get for doing something nice, she thought to herself. just a few moments later, Adam, Bree and Chase fell down the chute once again, landing on a pile of garbage as they collectively groaned.

"ah, never gets old!" Adam struggled to steady himself, placing a hand on his injured ribcage.

"guys, what are you doing here?" Chase asked, his eyebrows drawing together as a frown stained his lips. wrinkles had littered along his forehead.

"we came to save you guys!" Leo exclaimed. Adam cooed and nudged the small brown skinned boy.

Ziggy cocked an eyebrow, folding her lips inward, "did I not just say that?" she mumbled to Bree who shrugged.

"aw, thanks! we're good. ah, sweet kids." he glanced at Bree and Chase. Ziggy now glared at the bionic boy with enhanced strength. her tongue was pressed against the inside of her cheek as she huffed.

"i'm never saving anyone's life ever again."

"guys, let's focus," Chase shook his head causing ziggy to make a face, "okay, Leo, you hold on to Adam. Ziggy you hold on to Bree. we'll surround you and then we'll all go through it together, okay? three, two--"

despite the insane rate that Ziggy's heart was pulsing at, she couldn't help but swiftly glance around, her green eyes landing on a big red button that was placed on the wall. a frown tugged on her lips as she tilted her head to the side, pointing toward it.

"what is that?" at her words, Leo released his tight grasp on Adams T-shirt and shuffled toward the wall, slamming his palm on the crimson button. the hum of the machine had begun to die down as the wall behind them came to a halt, no longer pushing them toward their death. Chase clasped his hands together behind his back, his cheeks flushing pink as he folded his lips inward. he stared at the auburn haired girl.

"that would be the off button."

Adam chuckled, nodding his head as he placed his palms on his hips. "oh, yeah. you guys didn't see that?"

"oh, thank heavens!" Eddy's avatar breathed out, "you all made it home safe and sound and-- pfft!" he cut himself off by blowing a raspberry as Donald and Tasha shoved their way through the front door, the five troublemaking kids following in their footsteps. Ziggy rolled her green eyes, running a hand through her auburn hair as Mr. Davenport swiped away at his screen, causing him to disappear. the three bionic teenagers found their way to the couch while Leo and Ziggy remained near Tasha.

"I don't know what you guys were thinking, you could've seriously hurt yourselves." Mr. Davenport paced with a disapproving glare on his features. Adam didn't hesitate to chuckle, rubbing his palms against his denim jeans.

"yeah, but you've gotta admit. my robot accent was dead on." he grew stiff and his voice went flat as he impersonated a robot once again. Chase huffed loudly.

"can we please take him back to the recycling center." he gestured to his brother before his gaze fell into his lap, tugging on his sleeves. Tasha turned to face her son and Ziggy.

"and why didn't you two tell us that Adam, Bree and Chase were still here?" she poked curiously. Leo suddenly curled his fingers into a fist before his intense glare landed on Mr. Davenport.

"we just wanted to protect our friends. and we're still gonna protect our friends. come on, Ziggy." he stalked near davenport, holding his fists up as he readied himself by getting into a fighting stance.

"thats right. you wanna send em away? you'll have to go through me first." he poked his own chest. Ziggy snorted to herself and shuffled toward the couch, Chase scooting over to create room for her as they watched Leo size the man up.

"its not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. . . and there's alotta fight in this lil' doggie. come on!" he began to bounce around, davenport stood still as he watched the young boy attempt to provoke him into a fight. the three bionic teens and Tasha couldn't help but laugh as Donald stared at his wife incredulously. rolling his eyes, the scientist tossed his head back.

"Leo, calm down. they're not going anywhere." he placed his large palms on the boys shoulders.

"oh, don't you-- wait, what?" Leo tilted his head. the lab rats suddenly perked up, eyes wide at the mans words.

"watching you kids made me realize something. maybe, I've been focusing too much on training the superhuman side of you and I've forgot all about the human part." at those words, their hearts swelled. Adam clasped his hands together as he leaned his elbows on his knees. staring up at the man, he cooed.

"aw." he started at Bree, chase and Ziggy before his grin fell, "I don't get it."

"you're teenagers." Davenport began to explain simply, "and bionic or not, you deserve to experience teenager things. like school, and classes and cellphones." he began to list them off of his fingers before he was interrupted by Bree, who stood with an audible gasp. she clapped her hands together.

"yes! a cell phone. I'm living the dream, wooh!" she pumped her fist and wiggled her hips with a smile, the apples of her cheeks growing large. at that reaction, Davenport's face fell, pursing his lips before he shook his head.

"yeah, you're not getting a cell phone." he strode past her and stood next to Tasha, ignoring the way the speedsters smile shrunk. Ziggy chuckled.

"don't worry, you can use mine." she eased. Bree smiled sweetly as Davenport sighed.

"look, what I can give you is another chance. . . maybe there's a way that you can live here, go to school and go on missions." he stated shortly. Missions? Ziggy thought to herself. that was a pretty big deal to them, considering the fact that she remembered Adam informing her that they'd never been sent on a mission before.

"are you serious? we can stay?" the three bionic teens and Ziggy stood from their positions on the couch.

"yes, on one condition. no one can ever find out about your abilities. and you have to control your emotions so you don't glitch." he pointedly stared at Chase, as the boy was most likely to have glitches in his abilities. it appeared that he was the most sensitive one.

"okay!" Adam nodded.

"Done." said Bree.

"okay," Davenport slung an arm around his wife and Ziggy, a small smile threatening to pull at his lips, "well, then. welcome home."

the teenagers began to cheer, though it seems Adam had gotten a little bit too excited, almost like a lightning bolt had jolted his heart. he cheered rather loudly, the corners of his eyes crinkling as he pumped his fist and smiled. it all happened so quick. his forearms were illuminated with a light shade of blue, and Ziggy felt a pair of hands curl around hers and tug her down towards the floor as Adam started to send blasts of power through out the house. the chandelier had fallen from the ceiling and the lights began to flicker. he gasped, as the glitch had been unexpected. he whipped his head around, feeling his eyes heat before a string of coherent lights from them and shattered the dining table.

"Oh, my God!" Ziggy gasped in shock.

Adam sheepishly grinned, scratching the back of his neck.

"whoops."
