This is the first chapter!

( Story set in 2026, by the way.)

Anahita Roy's journey to becoming a Formula 1 driver was nothing short of inspirational. Born in India, her love for speed and cars was evident from a very young age. Unlike other children her age who played with dolls, Anahita was fascinated by toy cars. She would often try to take the bigger toy cars from her elder brother, showing her early determination and passion for automobiles. Her parents, recognizing her unique interest, supported her by providing toy cars and other related toys, which brought immense joy to young Anahita.

Growing up in India, she faced societal expectations and stereotypes, especially as a girl with an unconventional passion. However, her family's move to Australia marked a turning point in her life. In Australia, she discovered karting and quickly excelled, winning almost every race she participated in. Her talent and dedication were undeniable, and she swiftly moved up the ranks in the racing world.

Anahita's rise through the ranks of motorsport was meteoric. She dominated in Formula 4 and then Formula 3, making a name for herself on the international stage. Her journey in Formula 2, however, was not without challenges. She had a rocky start but showed resilience and determination, eventually winning the championship. This victory was a testament to her skill and perseverance.

Her big break came when Porsche, after signing Daniel Ricciardo, approached her to be their second driver for Formula 1. Anahita seized the opportunity without hesitation, knowing it was a dream come true. As a rookie for the 2025 season, she was ready to take on the world of Formula 1. And damn she did, 3 podiums and the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR.

Everyone saw the future world champion in her. And it was here the hell broke loose.

An woman? God forbid?!

Someone from such a country? Dang.

Strong and opinionated? Standing face to face with FIA? What the hell.

FIA had raised a brow at first, but did she care? No.

Netflix was pumped up for the latest season being majorly hers. Did she care? Again no. A tiny bit of her wished that it sends out positive messages to all the girls out there though, who will stumble upon the episodes, that THEY'RE WORTH OF EVERYTHING THEY DREAM OF.

With time she understood if steps back, millions like her will have to. So there she was, pushing herded for her first title. She was determined to break the stereotypes and let the tricolor fly high.

It was damn time to break the barriers.

Currently, Ana, as she was called, was getting ready for an interview by Netflix team of Drive to Survive and that she was nervous would be an understatement. The hate for the netflix docu is kind off same for all in grid, and she was no novice to the colors painted on some drivers by the stupid writers for a "masaledar" TRP worthy episode.

"Hello, Miss Roy. Am Andy. It's a pleasure to have you here."

"Like wise!"

"Please make yourself comfortable and then we'll start."

"Thanks." Ana heaved a sigh of relief as the interviewer, Andy seemed rather good.

The cameras rolled out shortly.

" Anahita, it's a pleasure to have you with us today. Your journey in Formula 1 has been nothing short of inspiring. Can you start by telling us a bit about how you got into racing?"

"Thank you! It's great to be here. My journey into racing started at a very young age. I was always fascinated by cars and speed. My parents were very supportive, and I started karting when I was just eight years old. From there, it was a lot of hard work, dedication, and a bit of luck that got me into F1." 

She answered, with a smile. She loved to talk about her rise.

 "Your first season was remarkable, with three podium finishes and winning the Rookie of the Year award. How did you achieve such success so quickly?"

 "It was an incredible season, indeed. I think a lot of it came down to the team's support and the preparation we put in. I also had a great mentor who guided me through the nuances of F1 racing. Each race was a learning experience, and I tried to improve with every lap."

"As the only on the F1 grid, what challenges have you faced, and how have you overcome them?"

Taking a pause, she answered, "Being a woman in a predominantly male sport comes with its set of challenges. There were times when I felt underestimated or faced stereotypes. However, I focused on my performance and let my results speak for themselves. The support from my team, other drivers, and fans has been overwhelming and has kept me motivated."

 "Racism and discrimination are significant issues in many sports, including F1. Have you faced any such challenges, and how have you dealt with them?"

 "Unfortunately, racism and discrimination are still prevalent. I've had my share of experiences, but I've always believed in standing up against such behavior. It's important to address these issues head-on and work towards creating a more inclusive environment in motorsport. To be honest, things were too much with time but as they say, no pain, no gain."

 "What are your goals for the upcoming seasons, and where do you see yourself in the future?

 "My immediate goal is to continue improving and aim for more podium finishes. Long-term, I hope to inspire more women and people from diverse backgrounds to take up motorsport. I also want to work on initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion in racing. I want to inspire and support anyone who dares to dream."

Pausing for some water, she glanced at her PR Manager, Jane Saunders, who gave a thumbs up, and then went back to the conversation.

They talked about pre practice rituals, her bond with co driver in Porsche, Daniel, her idols in the sport, her home country and a lot before coming to the last segment, fan support, and it was done in another 10 minutes.

The Netflix team was in awe of her composure, grace and natural charm. She was a such a force! A force not to be reckoned with.

"What the hell, Sebastian? Her? Her? Out of billions in the world?" Few miles away, Shubman Gill, the soon to be all format captain of Indian Cricket Team was freaking out.

Sebastian scratched his chin awkwardly, "um yeah? I mean why not? She is perfect and we fit in all the criteria her manager had set up-"

"She's reckless-"

"That's her job? F1 is about recklessness and speed-"

"That's not the point arghhh. She's an  amazing racer I know but she just annoys me and is too much!"

"You're same. Also the other two selected candidates are worse. See the list." Seb handed him the paper.

"If you want reputation, it's her. Anahita Roy."

And Shubman just sighed.

Dear lord, Why her?

"Heck what? That git?" Ana shrieked, "SHUBMAN FREAKING GILL? Jane, are you out of your mind????"

"He's perfect-"

"I deserve best. you know?"

"And he is the best one of the lot." Jane shrugged, "Rest are plain shi-. Also, the sooner you negotiate, the better. We have a deadline from principal."

"Dear lord, why him?"

Life is screwed.

"Life hates me."
