"GOOD NEWS, AT LEAST HALF the Tributes want you as an ally", Haymitch explained to Katniss as he entered the room.
"Well, they saw her shoot", Peeta stated simply and Haymitch chuckled, "Well, sweetheart, you got your pick of the litter."
Without hesitation the dark haired woman answered him, "I want Wiress and Beetee."
"Johanna calls them Nuts and Volts", Peeta answered her and Haymitch nodded. "Well, okay, good. Now, who else?"
"Kathryn."
Peeta immediately shook his head disagreeing, "I don't trust her."
"Okay fine, then no one", Katniss stated and Haymitch immediately interrupted the two. "I tell them you're still making up your mind."
A while later, Kathryn sat silently next to Finnick's empty metal seat, leaning with her elbows onto her knees, starring at the floor.
The woman was as always deep in her thoughts as she worried about the upcoming games and how she would definitely try her best not to die in that arena.
There was literally no way that she would get out of there alive, she knew the other Tributes. District one and two were ruthless, eventhough she knew them for years and they were kind off friends from all of the Capitol events, she was aware that the four would kill her without second thoughts.
Suddenly a voice interrupted her thoughts, "District 4. Kathryn Moore. Report for individual assessment."
The brunette woman got up and made her way down the corridor.
When she reached the door, it slowly opened and she stepped into the large training center. Finnick just came out and looked at her before the doors closed behind him.
The brunette walked through the center and as she had reached the marked spot Plutarch looked down at her, "Miss Moore, you have ten minutes to present your choose skill."
The brunette nodded and immediately spun around to approach the shelf that was full with different paint.
She quickly grabbed one of them and approached the human shaped target.
Kathyn didn't knew why exactly in this moment, but something snapped inside of her.
She dipped her fingers in the paint and quickly wrote 'President Snow' on the head, in large letters. After that she dashed over to the large shelf that was loaded with a lot of different knives.
The woman grabbed a couple of star shaped ones and positioned herself infront of the human shaped target shard.
She held her head up and narrowed her eyes at it before she threw one knife after the other into the head and heart of the target shard.
She spun around and threw another one before she looked up at Plutarch, who seemed to be a bit shocked.
The brunette grabbed a black satin strap and placed it over her eyes before she grabbed six other knives.
The woman exhaled deeply before she positioned herself correctly and threw all of them, perfectly hitting the head of the target.
The woman felt sick to her stomach as she thought about how Plutarch would determine her points about what she had just did.
Kathryn quickly pulled the strap from her eyes and threw it onto the table behind her before she bowed and quickly left the room.
She stormed down the corridors, last two other remaining tributes, until she had reached her room and stayed there, crying.
She felt hopeless, alone and most of all angry. Why was this happening to her?
A couple of very long hours later, one of the maids' escorted the brunette back to Tirvan.
The thick metal doors swung open and Kathryn's gaze immediately fell onto the man, who stood in the middle of the room.
Tirvan spun around to her and streched his arms out, "You sure know how to make a man wait."
The brunette remained silent as she walked towards the chair that stood besides him and sat down.
"Soo, let's do this", her stylist sighed more to himself than to his team, who immediately started doing her make-up.
The man let his hands dive through her brunette hair as he eyed Kathryn critical in the mirror.
His eyes laid not on her hair, but on her red and puffy eyes, which were now covered in a gold shimmer.
There was complete silence and when they were done with her hair, make-up and her dress, Kathryn was left speechless, her sorrows nearly gone.
The eye shadow was shimmering beautifully and her hair was in a stunning bun, a couple of hair strands hanging into her face.
Her lips sparkled in gold glimmer and her dress was made out of a lovely gold silk. It was tight and touched the ground.
Tirvan laughed and Kathryn realized that her jaw had dropped open. The woman quickly closed her mouth again, her cheeks flushing a bit as she spun around to the man, "I don't know what to say. Thank you."
Tirvan smiled at her and then motioned for his makeup team to get lost.
As everyone was out and it was only the two the man titled the woman's chin up and looked her in the eyes, "Walk tall, little one. And know, that I'm still betting on you."
A small smile formed on Kathryn's lips and she nodded her head slightly, remembering what he had said to her when she stood in that room for the first time.
Kathryn hadn't believed in herself before they had put her in that arena. Tirvan was the one, who believed in her and gave her hope that she would make it out alive.
The man let his hand fall back to his side and nodded his head towards the door, "Let's get going."
"FINNICK, I UNDERSTAND THAT you have a message for somebody out there. A special someone", Cesar said as he eyed Finnick with a smirk on his face.
The man laughed as Finnick smirked as well, but Kathryn could see that it was faked for the crowd, "Can we hear it?"
He held the micro to Finnicks mouth and the man didn't waited long until he spoke up, looking directly into the camera.
Kathryn's stopped breathing as her eyes lingered on the monitor and she felt his eyes piercing into her very soul.
"My love, you have my heart for all eternity and if I die in that arena-", Finnick said as his eyes went back and forth between the camera and the ground, something changing in them.
"My last thought will be of your lips."
Kathryn released a breath she didn't even knew she was holding. She blinked a few times before she looked onto the ground and pretend to straighten her dress, while clearing her throat quietly.
The crowd went completely crazy and Finnick left the stage after a couple more words from Caesar.
When the young man passed her, their eyes met and Kathryn felt her hear pounding heavily in her chest. She was almost afraid it would jump out.
After Finnick was gone Johanna shot Kathryn a knowing look and chuckled amused, making the brunette frown at her questiongly.
"You do know that this was for you, right?", her old friend questioned her as if it was obviously and Kathryn scoffed.
She opened her mouth to reply something as suddenly her name was called, "And now the beautiful and absolutely charming female Tribute from District four, the wonderful Kathryn Moore!"
The woman released a deep breath before she slowly stepped out onto the gigantic stage.
The spotlights immediately found her face and the brunette smiled widely as she followed the long catwalk.
It felt like forever until she had finally reached Caeser and the brunette felt slightly sick as she let her gaze wander over the large crowd.
"Oh my, oh my", Caeser gasped impressed as he took a step back from her and eyed the woman up and down.
"I think I am right when I say that you look absolutely breathtaking!", the man exclaimed excited, a big smile on his face as he looked at the crowd.
"Oh, Caeser. You old Charmeur! Don't make me blush!", Kathryn said out loud, laughing as she gave him a sweet smile.
The man gave her a wink before he continued, "I think we can say that we are all very excited to have you again. Tell me, how is it to be back?"
Kathryn immediate felt the urge to spit Caeser into his stupid face, to whipe his smirk of off it, but instead she smile a bit and hummed.
"It is a bit overwhelming to be back. It's- it's difficult, especially after I didn't get to tell my family Good-bye."
Caeser nodded his head as he looked back and forth between her and the crowd. "I have to say again, it was really heartbreaking how you volunteered for your sister in your first games."
There was silence and as Kathryn's gaze wandered over the crowd she saw a couple of people whipping their tears away.
"What was her name again?"
The woman felt so worthless as she was standing on that gigantic stage, million of people watching her from every District. "Natalie", she croaked out at last, her throat completely dry.
"Well, I would say, we're rooting for you to see her again." Caeser turned back towards the crowd, the smile back on his face, "Ladies and Gentleman, District four, Kathryn Moore!"
The people stood up, clapping and cheering loudly for Kathryn.
The brunette nodded at the crowd one last time, no smile on her face before she made her way up the stairs.
Finick stepped down a couple of them, holding out his arm for her to take as she walked up to him.
The brunette lopped her arm in his, she could feel his body heat and somehow it was calming her a little bit down.
They quickly took their places and let go of each other, the feeling of emptiness immediately coming back to her.
"We have seen a lot of tears tonight. But I see no tears in Johanna's eyes. Johanna you are angry. Tell me why", Caesar stated before he held the micro to her mouth.
The dark haired woman laughed amused before she answered him, "Well, yes. I'm angry. You know, I'm getting totally screwed over here. The deal was that if I win the Hunger Games, I get to live the rest of my life in Peace. But now you want to kill me again."
She laughed again, a bit carzy, before her gaze travled from the camera to the crowd, "Well you know what? Fuck that! And fuck everybody that had anything to do with it!"
The woman stopped screaming and then quickly dashed of off the stage, making Kathryn smirk to herself.
"Okay, one woman's opinion", Caesar joked before he quickly changed the subject.
"And now, our last femal Tribute. From District twelve everybody, Katniss Everdeen!"
Katniss slowly stepped onto the stage and revealed her absolutely beautiful wedding dress to the whole world.
"Katniss Everdeen, you look fabulous. Dosen't she?", Cesar immediately complimented her.
The crowd screamed and clapped their hands fro her and Cesar laughed amazed. "My, my!"
The crowd calmed down and Cesar continued, "Now, Katniss. This is a very big and very emotional night for all of us. Wouldn't you say?"
"Don't go crying on me now, Caesar", Katniss smiled at the man widely.
"I can't make any promises. You know me", the purple haired man joked as he grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently.
Katniss laughed, "You know I wouldn't believe you, even if you did."
Caeser laughed loudly before he turned back to the crowd, "I love her! The girl on fire is so cheeky!"
He got serious again as he looked at her, "But Katniss, one more serious note. I think we're all here a little disappointed, more than a little disappointed, that a certain Wedding did not take place. Aren't we folks?"
Katniss smile had also disappeared as she listened to his words, "Alas. But am I correct in assuming that this is the how that you would have worn on that day, yes or no?"
The woman nodded firmly, "Yes, President Snow though everyone would want to see it."
"Well President Snow, as usual, was right", the man agreed before he laughed again and gazed at the crowd, "Was he not folks?"
The crowd cheered again as Caeser started shouting, "I love it! I love it! Don't you love it? It's incredible. It's so gorgeous!"
He pointed at the front of the stage as he asked her, "Will you do us the honor? Please ? Please ? Please?"
Katniss stepped forward and as she reached the front she started twirling around herself.
The wedding dress caught fire and slowly changed into a black dress with lathe wings that spread out, making everybody jump onto their feet.
Kathryn's eyes widened as she whispered to herself, "A Mockingjay."
"It's a bird. It's got feathers. It's like a bird. It's like a -", Caesar stated excited as he looked at her.
"Like a Mockingjay", Katniss told him as she seriously looked at the crowd.
"You're stylist certainly had outdone himself this time, hasn't he?"
"Cinna!", Caeser called out and Katniss stylist waved as he stood up and thanked the crowd.
When Katniss walked off stage, and onto the stairs Peeta came onto stage.
"But Peeta, the wedding, that marriage, never to be?", Caeser questioned the young man.
Peeta raised his eyebrows, "Well, actually, we got married. In secret."
"A secret wedding? All right. Do tell", Caeser said as he looked at Peeta surpised.
"We want our love to be eternal", the man stated as he looked at the crowd smiling lightly. "You know, Katniss and I, we've been luckier than most. And I wouldn't have any regrets at all if it weren't- if-"
Caeser frowned at him, "If it weren't for what? What?" Peeta sighed before he finished his scentence, "If it weren't for the baby."
Everyone gasped shocked and many of the people immediatley stood up as they started screaming that the games should be cancelled.
"All right everyone, that's new. Let's find out more", Caeser tried to calm them down. "Calm down. This is news to all of us."
Caeser whispered something to Peeta, who quickly joined Katniss on the upper stage.
Caeser contiued to try and calm everyone down as Peeta and Katniss hugged.
A moment later Katniss grabbed the hand from the male tribute from District eleven and everyone continued her action.
Finnick softly grabbed Kathryn's hand before she held the hand of the female Morphling.
When everyone held hands with each other, they all raised them in the air.
More people stood up and screamed at Caeser and as the man saw what the Tributes were doing, he stopped speaking and stared at them speechless.
Suddenly he came back to his senses and immediately motioned for somebody to turn off the light and after a moment the light went off, surrounding the Tributes with darkness.
