Problems

THE TENSION IN THE CULLEN HOUSEHOLD is growing thicker and thicker every day. Bella looks like a corpse. She's just skin and bones, she is growing weaker and weaker by the second, and the only flesh that she has left is her stomach.

That is proof that she really is pregnant. Her pregnancy is faster than a normal human pregnancy. She looks about five months and looks like she is ready to give birth, even though it has only been two weeks since she came home.

Genevieve is leaning against Jasper's chest while he supports himself on the wall. Alice was seated on the sofa, and Greyson sat beside her. She was still looking at her visions, but she only got headaches while doing so. The four are on the other side of the living room.

Carlisle is researching at the coffee table with Emmett, and the two other women are tending to Bella's needs and supporting her throughout her pregnancy. At the same time, Edward has a pained expression on his face as he watches his wife slowly die at his watch. He can't even do anything about it, and Bella who finally sleeps peacefully for the first time since she went home.

The sound of a motorcycle pulling up the driveway made them panic. How are they going to explain Bella's state? They definitely didn't invite someone, so this person was an uninvited guest, and they finally caught the scent of the person, and they scrunched up their noses in disgust. It was Jacob Black, the engine cuts off, and Bella sits up.

"Is it true?" Jacob asks as he enters the home.

"Hello, Jacob. How are you?" Carlisle asks. He was curious about why the pup was at his house, uninvited.

"Listen, just give it to me straight," He says. Bella starts to talk, "Jake, is that you?"

"She's here?" He asks. He was confused about why she was not on her honeymoon.

"They came home two weeks ago," Carlisle informs him, and they hear Jacob's heavy footsteps approaching. Rosalie blocks him, he tries to move, but Rosalie still blocks him from going further.

"I'm glad you came," Bella smiled slightly. Jacob glared at Rosalie and tried to move but was constantly stopped by a protective blonde.

"Close enough, dog," She spits out, "What's your problem?" He asks Rosalie, and he is generally confused.

"Rose, It's okay," Bella tells Rosalie as she moves out of the way while Jacob walks towards her, "You look terrible," He says and eyes her up and down. He is happy that she is still human.

"Yeah, it's nice to see you too," She says, trying not to be awkward about the situation.

"So, are you going to tell me what's wrong with you?" He asks, and Bella just chuckles and looks at Rose. "Can you help me up?" so Rose did. When she stands up, the blanket that covers her stomach pools to the floor, and her shirt is pulled up, revealing her bruised stomach.

Genevieve just looks away. Even though she and Bella aren't close, they don't even have a long proper conversation, but she still hates it when she sees her like this. Jasper just rubs her shoulders, trying to calm her nerves down.

Edward looks at Bella with shame and guilt.

"You did this!" Jacob yells as he approaches Edward angrily. Jasper being on instinct pushes Genevieve at his back since they are close in Edward's position. Emmett stops him since he knows Edward would have let Jacob beat him up.

"We didn't know this was possible," Carlisle reasons, trying to calm him as much as possible.

"What is it?" Jacob turns to Carlisle, expecting an answer.

"We don't know. Ultrasounds and needles won't penetrate the amniotic sac," Carlisle tells him.

"I can't see it either," Alice informed them. "I can't see Bella's future anymore either," she confesses.

"The shadows have been silent since Bella came home. They don't know anything either, and it's been bugging me since they always talk to me almost every day," Genevieve adds, and Jasper just looks at her concerned.

"We've been researching legends, but there isn't much to go on," Carlisle starts. "What we do know is that it's strong and fast-growing," he finishes.

"Why haven't you done anything?" Jacob asks.

"Because it's not up to you to make the decision," Rosalie spits out, and Jacob turns himself to face her and looks back at Carlisle. "Take it out of her!" He commands Carlisle is just silent.

"This is none of your business, dog," Rosalie says. She was getting angry and annoyed at the pup.

"Rose!" Esme warns, "All the fighting isn't good for Bella."

"This fetus isn't good for Bella," Alice snaps at her.

"Say the word Alice, baby," Rosalie begins, but Genevieve interrupts her.

"We don't even know if it even is a baby," She said gently.

"It's just a little baby," Rosalie reasons out.

"Possibly," Greyson says as she moves protectively around Alice.

"Carlisle," Jacob speaks. "You have to do something," he was begging.

"No," Bella warns. "It's not his decision. It's not any of yours."

"Jacob, can I talk to you outside?" Edward asks and walks outside. Jacob follows him.

Genevieve pulls Jasper to their room. She wants to get out of that room, and she can't deal with the stress anymore. She goes to the bed and lies down.

Jasper, following her action, lies beside her and pulls her towards his chest, stroking her jet-black hair. He is sending tranquil emotions to help her calm down.

"Everything will be alright, darlin'. As long as we're together, we'll get through this," Jasper states and kisses her on the top of her head, and she just nods and buries her head on his chest, closing the gap between them.

"Can we go hunt? I want some fresh air, too," She asks and looks up at him.

"Sure," he answers and pulls her up, and they run towards the woods. Genevieve hadn't hunted since Bella came home, so she was very thirsty.

She finished three elks and two mountain lions, and Jasper, too, was thirsty. He felt the thirst of every member of his family, so he hunted more than her.

Genevieve's eyes went from black to gold, and she could feel a pair of eyes watching her as she dropped the remains of the carcass of her last meal.

She looks back and sees the honey-blonde vampire observing her. She speeds in front of him, her thumb going to the side of his lips, wiping off the excess blood, and holding it to her mouth, sucking the thumb with the blood.

"That was hot," Jasper says with a smirk on his face. He snakes his arms around her waist and pulls her towards his chest.

She wraps her arms around his neck, brushing his honey-blonde hair, they lean towards each other, and their lips meet, as always. It felt like it was their first kiss. They moved in sync as if their lips were personally made for each other.

Until they hear a loud gruesome growl, they snap out of the kiss. Jasper pushes Genevieve at his back and is positioned in a protective stance. They looked around and saw a black, grey, and brown wolf.

They looked at each other, not needing any confirmation. They ran as fast as they could. They hear the wolves' footsteps getting closer to them.

Genevieve moved her hands up, sending out three shadows. The first shadow punched the grey wolf in the face and was thrown against the tree, the second shadow broke the brown wolf's leg, they heard a loud whimper, and the third shadow was fighting with the black wolf.

Finally, they saw the white wall of the house and ran faster than before. They see a panicked Greyson and Emmett at the front and run towards them, throwing the grey wolf that was ready to bite Genevieve's leg off and the black wolf who was prepared to lunge at Jasper.

The rest of the family was outside, ready to defend the two, the two wolves growl and walk away.

"Okay, what the freaking hell was that? I've never run that fast in my whole vampire existence, and can vampires get breathless? We don't even fucking breathe," Genevieve talked fast and was frantically breathing hard. Jasper went to her side and hugged her. He had never felt so afraid in his life when she saw Genevieve almost get ripped to shreds.

"That was what I was about to tell you. You can't hunt anymore," Jacob informs them.

They look at him silently, telling him to continue, "Sam's lost the element of surprise, and he doesn't want to take you outnumbered. So, he's not going to come at you head-on. He's got the place surrounded, and he'll wait for his opportunity," Jacob informs them, and everyone in the room wears worried expressions, another problem stacked to their other pending problems.

"We won't get through without a fight," Emmett states.

"No fights. We won't be the ones to break the treaty," Carlisle tells them.

"The treat is void, at least in Sam's mind," Jacob says.

"Not in ours," Esme responds.

"Carlisle, no one's hunted for weeks except for Genevieve and Jasper, who was almost ripped into shreds," Emmett says while looking at the couple.

"We'll make do," Esme says with a small smile.

"So are we on quarantine or something? House arrest?" Genevieve asks, clearly irritated.

"It looks like it," Greyson says. He was also annoyed at what was happening.

"You've done us a great service, Jacob. Thank you," Carlisle tells him with a nod.
