Their wedding, (Authors's POV)

The whole Mumbai was brimming with excitement and chantings of Lord Shiva. It was Mahashivratri today! The auspicious day when Maa Parvati and Lord Shiva tied their knot years back... And today it was again Rohit and Aashika going to tie their knot together, their first step of being together forever.
First they went to the high court for signing their marriage certificate. Obviously they couldn't talk to each other much in front if their families.
They were heading towards Siddhivinayak Temple for their marriage. Only their family members and a few friends were with them.

The marriage had already been initiated. The priest was chanting numerous mantras back to back. (Most common thing in an Indian marriage)🤣 Neither Rohit nor Aashika was able to interpret, what was he blabbering constantly! Though Rohit was a Brahmin and it was like impossible to beat Aashika in Sanskrit, none of them could understand even a single word!! After all priests are more busy than doctors, lawyers and CAs nowadays...🤣

Rohit murmured to himself, "Kya musibat hai! Na to ye jo bol rhe hai vo samajh aa rha hai, na mai usse baat kar skta hun jise zindagi bhar samajhna hai!"

(What a trouble! I can't understand what he is saying and at the same time I can't talk to the one whom I need to understand for life!)

Aashika with a weird expression, "Kuch kaha?? "
(Did you say something?)

Rohit trying to compose himself, "Na, nothing!"

Priest without even a single break, "Var-vadhu-pheron-ke-liye-khade-ho-jaye"
(Now-both-bride-and-groom-shall-stand-up-for-the-vows)

Both of them didn't understand anything, so they did not move from their place..

Priest with a puzzled look, "Kya hua shaadi krne ka iraada badal gya kya?"
(What happened, did your intentions change about getting married!)

Rohit and Aashika looked at each other, bewildered. They quickly realized they were supposed to stand up.

Aashika whispered to Rohit, "I hope this is the only misunderstanding we have today!"

Rohit chuckled, "Yeah, thank God we didn't end up being married to the wrong people."

The priest continues, "Chalo, pheron ke liye tayyar ho jao."
(Come on, get ready for the seven vows of wedding!)

They stood up, and the ceremony continued. As the priest chanted more mantras, Aashika leaned towards Rohit and whispered, "Is it just me, or does it feel like he's chanting a spell from Harry Potter?"

Rohit giggled, "Maybe we'll be transported to Hogwarts after this."

The priest, noticing their hushed conversation, gave them a stern look, "Aap dono dhyan de, yeh koi mazak nahi hai."
(Both of you pay attention, this is not a joke.)

Rohit quickly straightened up, "Yes, Pandit ji, sorry."

As the priest continued, he instructed them to walk around the fire. Rohit and Aashika started, albeit hesitantly.

With each step, the priest recited the vows, "Dharmeycha, arthaycha, kamecha, mokshaycha..."

Rohit, trying to be serious, whispered, "Are we taking vows or casting a spell to summon rain?"

Aashika, suppressing a laugh, "Focus, we don't want to mess this up."

Finally, they completed the rounds.
The priest, looking satisfied, announced, "Ab aap pati-patni hain. Aashirwad lijiye."
(Now you are husband and wife. Take blessings from your elders)

Rohit and Aashika, still holding hands, bent down to touch the feet of the elders.

Rohit's grandmother, with a smile, said, "Welcome to the family, Aashika. And Rohit, try not to crack jokes during serious ceremonies."

Aashika's mother hugged her, "God bless you! And Rohit, remember, the real challenge begins now."

Rohit, with a playful smirk, "Challenge accepted!"

As they left the temple, amidst blessings and laughter, Rohit whispered to Aashika, "Well, that was something. Ready for the next adventure, Ms. Singhania! "

Aashika smiled, "With you, always."

Ved teased Aashika, "Aww, little sister at least cry a little. Otherwise people will think that the girl is just running away from her family!"

Everybody burst out laughing whereas Aashika was no less of replies, "The one who marries you will cry, brother! Not me! "

And with that, they stepped out, ready to face the world together, their hearts full of love and laughter. Their relationship will not be an easy one...but the dreamiest one!
On the way to unravel the unknown secrets, they'll gain many things but will lose more!

At the Bhardwaj Villa, (Rohit's POV)

Rivan shouted on the top of his lungs, "NAHI MAI!!!"
(NO, I WILL!!!!)

Ruhan threw a pillow in his direction, "Bada Mai hu yaa tu!"
(Are you elder or am I!)

Ajay, "Chup ho jao sab ke sab Mera Initial A hai Aashika bhabhi ka bhi A hai, that means Mai hi unki pehli aarti utarunga!!"
(Everyone be silent, My initial is A and Aashika bhabhi's initial is also A, so I will welcome her!)
(Aarti is a kind of ritual performed in India for welcoming someone)

IT IS SUCKING ME, NOW! It's already 20 mins since these dumbs are arguing and we're standing on the gate like dumb dolls!

Aparna maa interrupted, "Aare, pehli aarti saas utarti hai, jeth-devar nahi!!"
(Oh god! The first welcome of a bride is done by her mother-in-law, not her brothers-in-law)

All of them shouted in unison, "Ye anyaay hai! Each and every citizen of India has the freedom of actions!!"
(This is not just! Each and every citizen of India has the freedom of actions!!)

Finally mom came into the scene, "Agar maine tum sabke peeche belan leke action shuru kiya na to muh dikhaane layak nhi bachoge apni bhabhi ko..!"
(If I start my action by beating y'all, then none of you would be able to show your face to your sister-in-law)

Everybody zipped their mouths!

Mom stepped forward towards Aashika who was standing at the door since the last 20 mins, "Sorry! Vo actually all of them got too much over-excited because they had planned a lot for your welcome! But you'll have to wait no more..."
She just ended up forgetting me..that I was too standing here since so long..😒

Finally after her Grihapravesh, I landed on the sofa without wasting a single second! Oh god, it's already 8:30p.m. and none of us had eaten anything since last night because we all had our fasts today for Maha Shivratri...

Dadi said (ordered), "Now everybody just go back to your respective rooms because we have decided to perform all the other rituals tomorrow as all of us are already so tired!"

Oh! So these guys were even thinking to perform rituals when I'm already so tired!! What the hell misconceptions do these people have such late at night!🤦🏻
BUT, FINALLY! I FULFILLED THAT DREAM OF MY LIFE FOR WHICH I'VE LONGED FOR YEARS! It's Aashika Singhania, now my OFFICIAL WIFE!❤️

In their bedroom, (Aashika's POV)

I entered the room and just then I was about to faint! Bro, like seriously he has such an organized room...👀

Rohit snapped his fingers he was constantly staring me, I quickly tried to maintain my composure, otherwise he'll think I'm mad..

He mocked, "What happened? Why are you standing like someone stammered your BMW with a hammer!"

I blabbered, "N-no! Can I first change?"

Rohit, "Zaroor! Vo rha washroom aur andar changing room & closet bhi hai.."
(Sure! There's the washroom and changing room & closet are attached with it..)

I was dumbfounded, "Kya! Washroom aur Closet attached hai??"

He said with a confused look, "Hai too..."

I had nothing to say so I just unpacked my bags and took my clothes and some night creams with me & walked into the washroom!

After I was ready I found him still waiting at the same place he was sitting when I went to change, it's already 40 mins since that and this man is waiting so patiently!🤨

Rohit, "May I go to change?"

I said, "Sure!"

I decided to sit on his king sized bed, till he comes...I wasn't feeling sleepy AT ALL! I could even walk for another few kilometres yet, if I could have a few cups of Ice cream and a good person to chat with...Just then he came out. He was looking just soo...HOT! I've never seen him in casuals like this...

Rohit in a casual tone, "Let's sleep!"

I replied back, "Kahan?"
(Where?)

I swear at this moment this man will definitely think that I'm dumb...He was really confused and started staring his bed..It was enough for 4 people but still, I thought it's better to ask silly questions rather than sleeping...

He squinted his eyes, "Mmmm...Lily, I don't think you'll be able to spend the whole night asking silly questions.."
YE AADMI DIMAAG PADH SKTA HAI!!😲

I tried to divert the topic, "Let's organize our closet! Ig we can do it within an hour or two.."

He nodded his head in agreement and we went towards his closet. I know he did not want to organize his closet on his first night but I don't want to spend the whole night thinking, 'what next?'
His closet was almost vacant. But when he has married me, then definitely his closet won't be empty for more than a few minutes. As I unpacked my stuffs, he couldn't help but stare at them. Yeah! I accept, I've a LOT of stuff. It's like I have around 30 different pairs of slippers, sneakers, heels & formal shoes. So one can easily imagine how many clothes will I have! After we finished it, I had no other option but to sleep. It was already 12:30 when we settled ourselves on the bed.

He said, "Lily, are you sure I should sleep here? I mean are you comfortable? If you feel like then I can sleep on the couch as well..."

I replied back, "What if I sleep on the couch then?"

He shifted his gaze towards me and squinted his eyes. But this man was no less with replies..."Then I shall sleep on the floor!"

I was determined to continue this argument as I was enjoying it enough...Hehe, "What if I sleep on the floor as well?"

He replied back with a done face, "Then there is only one place on this earth left for me....And that is HELL!"

We erupted into never-ending laughter.

Something creepy came into my mind and all of a sudden I said, "Should we watch a movie??"

He nodded his head and that's it, this was enough to make the whole night a fun.

I went through all the latest movies and so I asked, "What about Teri Baaton mein Aisa Uljha Jiya? I heard it's absolutely a fun!"

He mocked, "I can watch everything until and unless the hero is more charming than me!!"

I snuggled into the blanket, "Accha.. Accha thik hai! "
(Ok, ok, fine!)

So, finally we decided to dedicate our first night to this movie marathon! After finishing it we decided to go for Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kahani!

He had some serious expressions on his face and said, "How can Ranveer Singh be so energetic yaar, I'm already tired just by seeing him.. "

I giggled and replied back, "Oh! Really... This is why I call you a sleepyhead.. "

He admired my smile, "And your smile is the reason why I call you lily! Just as simple and adorable as you are.. "

I must say that he has really intense eyes, my hormones are getting over my head now!!

I tried to divert the topic, "Alia bhatt has such a cute dress in this scene na! "

He nodded his head... And just then I realized we were just a few millimetres apart from each other... oh god! I guess I need to divert my attention to something else...

Sometimes doing something out of the box may achieve even better results! That is what I think because today's will be really memorable for me where I've got so many moments which I can cherish throughout my life!

It was 4 a.m. when we slept and now it is just 7 a.m., we had to wake up early today for all the rituals and also his relatives were invited for a lunch today! So I quickly got ready and wore a traditional outfit which was twinning with Rohit's...

Cooking & AASHIKA!!😵(Rohit's POV)

It was 7 a.m. when this lady woke up! She is another level energetic. I know those 3 freaks are also sleeping but still when someone so cute with her shiny, bright face comes to wake you up only the dumbest man on this earth will say no. After I got ready, I came out and saw her sitting on the sofa, thinking deeply about something. Stress was clearly visible on her face!
(Their outfits)

I asked with concern, "Lily, what happened?"
SHE STARTED CRYING! WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! At 8 a.m. in the morning, my lady started crying and that too just on the next day after our marriage...

I bent down to her, "Lily, what happened? Who made you cry? Tell me if there's something wrong I'll help you out!"

She gave me the dumbest reply one could give me at this situation, "I don't know how to cook..." She continued crying. Oh god! My heart will come out of my chest any time!

I asked her, "Lily...Look at me! Who told you to cry for cooking right now, in the morning?"

She looked at me and said, "Bua ji ne bola pehli rasoi main banaungi.."
(Aunty said that I will cook my first breakfast in this house today..)

I retorted back, "Mai unko kadhayi mein daal ke oil mein fry kar dunga!"
(I will put her in a pan and fry her in oil!)

She started looking at me as if I cracked a joke. I clarified her, "I am serious bro!"

She squinted her eyes and raised her voice, "It's not a joke! I don't even know how to boil water for gurgling! And she told me to cook food!"

"Okay, then lemme cook! Shaadi kis kaam ke liye ki hai phir tumne..Mujhe Audits, presentations banane nahi aate but bade papa humesha mujhe ye sab krne ko de dete hai...To ek kaam karte hai tum mere liye ye sab kar diya karo, Mai tumhare liye cook kar dunga!" I smiled back at her and she nodded her head.
(Okay, then lemme cook! What is the advantage of marrying me then...I don't know how to create audits, presentations but uncle always keeps on bombarding me with those things...So let's do a deal, you do all these things for me and I will cook for you!)

She raised her head in concern, "But at least today I should cook na!"

I started to think for some good idea, but just then her face lit up with a smile, "Okay, For today I'll just cook something light..And you will tell me how to do that without entering the kitchen!" I furrowed my brows. If I won't be allowed to enter the kitchen till she is cooking, so how will I guide her!!!
Before I could say something, she said, "Please don't say no!"

I couldn't protest further. I taught her and explained how to make sandwiches and parathas. After she went towards the kitchen, I started walking here and there.

My goodness, I was not even so tensed will giving my Maths exam in boards. (Though I got 41, but still I managed to get 100/100 in biology and physics)
After 30 mins, I decided not to waste a single minute and I called Reev to check on her, my room was just beside the kitchen but I couldn't go there because someone will definitely see me. His room was on the alternate side of the kitchen, so I called him.
He said in his sleepy voice, "Aapka dimaag kharab ho gya hai kya yaar! Biwi aapki dekhne Mai jau!! Khud hi chale jao naaa"
(Are you mad! She's your wife not mine!! You should yourself go and have a check on her)

With no other choice left, I decided to bribe him, "I'll get you the latest model of Royal Enfield!"

His tone changed completely and he agreed happily. I mentally decided to take my revenge soon from this brat. He called me after a few mins and said, "Bhabhi has burnt her finger and almost the whole KITCHEN...Please come and help us!"

FUCK! I hanged up and then....I ran towards the kitchen...Within 1.11 seconds I reached there. He already applied ointment on her hand. She was on the verge to cry but I quickly pressed my finger against her lips.

Rivan, "Uff! Do your romance afterwards, it's already 9 a.m.! Come bhaiya let's cook something for everyone!"

Aashika asked with her doe eyes, "Aur Mai Kahan jaun??"
(Where should I go??)

Rivan started giggling, I smiled and made her sit on the kitchen counter! But guess what, she has successfully managed to prepare kheer. I love kheer. I don't know if she knows it but still kheer is my favourite! And that too by my pasandida aurat! Hayeee! Idk why but god is having so much mercy on me nowadays!!

Reev and I quickly prepared food for everyone but suddenly Ruhan and Ajay barged in, they were about to shout seeing me & Reev there but somehow I managed to close the door before that...After that we explained everything to them..

Ajay, "Why the hell didn't you wake up us? Bhabhi, if bua ji asked you to do that, why did you agree? You don't have to be a good, well mannered daughter-in-law in our house otherwise everyone will start taunting the four of us!"

She answered back with her baby faces, "At least lemme have a good image for a few hours. Uske baad to Jo hoga vo aapko bhi pta hai aur mujhe bhi!"
(At least lemme have a good image for a few hours. After that whatever is going to happen, all of us know that!)

We started laughing but then we realised it was already 9:45 a.m. so we decided to leave as it will be a total chaos if someone sees us here.
After performing those thousands of rituals and visiting Aashika's house, we decided to take some rest. It was 6 p.m. when we decided to go down, some of my close relatives were there.

Bua, "So I've something to share with you all, I've fixed Nayantara's proposal to Mr. Ehsaas Ranawat, the younger brother of Arjun ji.."

Everyone congratulated them. Though my brothers and I didn't care much about it but still Naina was our close cousin and we were happy for her. But Aashika seemed uncomfortable amidst all this. I don't know the reason but after everyone settled back, I observed that she wasn't there. Suddenly I got a message from her.

Aashika❤️: Rohit! I need to go somewhere urgently, please do some arrangement. And don't ask me any questions now. I know I shouldn't leave the family gathering like that but it's really urgent..

I made up a new story and said, "Actually a few of my close friends in the college wanted to meet Aashika, so we've planned for a dinner with them!"

Everyone were clueless about it. Dadi said, "Rohit, you can take her tomorrow. Today we all are here so spend time with us!"

I know she's right at her place so I couldn't protest but Ajay bhaiya helped me out. He said, "Actually Rohit's seniors will also be there. So if he cancels the dinner then it will not be a good impression in front of them!"

Everyone agreed for it! We, brothers had a bro code amongst us. I know all of them knew really well that I was lying so they helped me out. I asked Aashika to come down and together we headed out of the villa.

I asked her, "What's the urgent thing? Is everything fine?"
She was looking in a hurry and told me, "If you want you can go somewhere else because it will take me an hour or two. And seriously saying the one I am going to meet might not be comfortable in front of you, so maybe you'll have to wait outside. So you should not waste your time for all this!"

I smiled at her, "I can wait for an eternity for you!" She smiled back and together we headed towards the car. She was driving the car and I was admiring her!

NO! Naina's getting married! (Aashika's POV)

As soon as I got the news of her marriage fixture. I was left in an UTTER SHOCK! She was my classmate and Abhishek and her were in a serious relationship. And a serious one means like, they even decided the names of their children!! We called them crazy but somehow we all knew that they loved and respected each other to the moon and back! It was an ideal relationship, maybe something like what a girl or a boy always dreams for!

I called Abhishek and immediately asked, "Are you fine?"

He replied back in an uncommon tone, "Y-yeah! Why?"

I knew that Naina won't cheat on him, so I directly asked him, "Naina is getting married to someone, do you know that?"

After a few seconds he said, "Yes, I do kn-know that!"

What the ever hell! I know this man really well, we are friends since so many years, he won't let go everything so easily. It is definitely something too serious. I said, "Abhi, I know you aren't fine! And without speaking another single word, you will meet me right now!!"

He hesitated for a bit and said, "Aashi you are now married. It's your first day there, I-I just can't put you in trouble...."

I interrupt him, "You are ordered to meet me at Whitefield cafe right now! That's it, end of the discussion, nothing matters more than our friendship!"

He agreed for it. I know he needs someone to be by his side right now..

As we reached there, I saw him waiting for me at a table. Rohit told me that he'll wait for me by the poolside. I entered the cafe and sat beside him. I decided to initiate the conversation, "Will you let go off everything so easily?"

He replied back in a broken voice, "I can't force her in it. "

I asked him back, "But at least there should be some reason. Tell me, I'll talk to her... You just can't... "

He interrupted me, "She told me we aren't co-compatible. Love is not so important for a marriage. She doesn't want to adjust throughout h-her whole life!" His eyes we're almost red. I've never seen him in such a state.

He tried to continue himself after a few seconds, "I've taken a decision. I'll move to Germany for a few years! I-I just can't see the love of my life with someone else. I don't know if she cares or not but still I was, I am and I will be committed to her forever!"

I wasn't that satisfied with this decision but I knew it was for his betterment. After discussing about it for some more time. We decided to go back. He told me that he'll leave the day after tomorrow.
Everyone is leaving me yaar, Ved Bhaiya is also moving to Denmark to set up his software company and now Abhi also! Ahem has also left before my marriage to England. Idk what was the reason but still he told me that he has no other option left.

I am really sad, but I know this is the last decision which could make them happy in their life. I went back to Rohit and saw him patiently waiting for me by the poolside! My god! This man is just... 🤧

We reached back home and after having our dinner we all headed towards our room. I was still thinking about Nayantara and Abhishek. Suddenly something came into my mind, so I decided to pen it down!

In love's embrace, and pain's cruel sting,
A bond is formed, a lingering thing,
Though fleeting their stay, they leave a mark,
Forever etched in the depths of our heart.

Love's sweetness, pain's bitter art,
Both play their role, tearing us apart,
Yet in their passing, a memory is spun,

Suddenly I feel someone's presence behind me! It's Rohit.

He remarks with his shiny eyes, "You write so well! Beautiful!"

I replied hesitantly, "Thanks! You know what Love and respect are the secondary blocks of a relationship. The primary one is trust... "

"I trust you more than anything!" He says forever ending the doubts of my heart. He continued, "By the way, why and how did you cook kheer in the morning? You told me you don't know how to cook. "

I answered him honestly, "Actually my mother told me that whenever you enter the kitchen for the first time, cook something sweet. So I decided to cook kheer by watching a recipe video from YouTube!" He smiled at me, I don't know the reason why he asked me but he looked really happy!

Now I was determined to test his patience and intelligence, "You know what in the era of red flags, I've seen a few men who are actually the fictional characters a girl desires! Even I've started to develop such feelings for a man. He's just so awesome and bold, you can't even imagine! "
He was looking at me as if I had hit him with a hammer on his face. I was really enjoying it now. 🤣

He asks me in a broken voice, "Wh-who's it?"

I replied back, "It's Mr. Rohit Bhardwaj.. "

He had no expressions on his face, I'm sure he was not able to understand a single word I said, he was still stuck up in thinking who's the man I've been desiring for!🤣

I continued myself, "How did you manage to get 88℅ in boards?" With this, I went towards the closet to change leaving him in utter shock. After I closed the door, he suddenly shouted, "Oh! It's Rohit Bhardwaj, it's me!!"

I couldn't help laughing at his innocence... 🤣🤣 This was just the beginning but still I've started to imagine our future together, lovely and bright!

On 17th March (Ruhan & Siya, Ajay & Rishika's meeting anniversary) (Rishika's POV)

So, finally today is our meeting anniversary and we enjoyed the whole day!

It was 7 p.m. when we all headed back to our places. But Siya and I had some different plans. After Ruhan and Ajay went to their home. We decided to follow them and sneak into their mansion.

Siya, "Di, are you sure we should do this??"

Rishika, "Obviously yaar!"

She again questioned me, "But why are we even doing this? We can talk about our plan tomorrow or somewhere else! Why are we sneaking into their mansion?? "

I replied to her with a smirk, "Just to trouble them!!"

Somehow we managed to reach their rooms! It was all dark around so we couldn't even see each other properly.

As we entered the room, we saw them binge with some snacks and watching a movie. As they saw us, Ruhan choked on his popcorn and Ajay spat the cold drink.
They shouted in unison, "WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!!"

But in no time, they dragged us down and entered the basement. Ruhan shouted, "Are you girls crazy? You know right, we live in a joint family! Why did you sneak in our place like this? "

Siya and I replied in unison, "Just to trouble you! "

Both of them covered their faces and maybe started regretting their choice. 🫣

Siya, "Guys, I can't see anyone yaar! Why don't you have lights in your basement, Ruhan?! " She pointed towards Ajay or maybe not...

Ruhan replied slyly, "Yeah! Yeah! For you we'll light up the basement also right!"

Ajay, raising an eyebrow, "Right. So, what's the real reason for this surprise visit?"

I played it cool, "Actually, we need to talk. We've been keeping our relationship secret, and it's getting tricky."

Siya nods at it, "Yeah, our parents are starting to ask questions. We need a plan to keep our secret safe."

Ruhan, "A plan? What do you have in mind?"

I reply, "We were thinking of pretending to be just friends. If we act like we're not together, it'll throw off any suspicion."

Siya nods at it, "Exactly. We'll have to play it cool. We should show up at family gatherings as "friends" and avoid any affectionate behavior."

Ajay, "But what if our parents start noticing? They might catch on if they see us together all the time."

Ruhan, "Maybe we can create a believable cover story. Like we're "working together on a project" or "training for something"."

Siya, "That's a great idea. We can say we're working on a community project and that's why we're always together."

I nod at this, "And we'll need to coordinate our stories. No public displays of affection, and we should keep all personal conversations private."

Ajay, "Alright, let's do this. We'll stick to the plan and keep everything above board. Just make sure we're all on the same page."

Ruhan, "Fine! So the discussion ends here! Now girls please go!"

Siya replied slyly, "Humesha to bolte ho ruko, ruko! Aaj bol rhe ho jao, jao!"
(Every time, you tell us to wait for some more time and today you're telling us to go)

With this somehow the brothers manage to drop us out and guess what Siya gives Ajay a back hug! WAIT, WHAT!!😶‍🌫️

Ajay, "These soft hands can't be my girl's!"

Suddenly Siya sees his face and gets shocked!
Ruhan with a baby face, "Baby! You changed your team! "
