13. "Divulging The Past" Series- Leapᝰ.ᐟ
Hey readers! As promised here's the chapter!
As y'all know "Divulging the Past" series is a book itself! So after all the chaos that has happened there's a leap of 1 year 10 months (around). This was the prime time of most of the couples as well as the singles to achieve what they desired!
So here's a kind of brief Epilogue to this series!
------
Ruhan×Siya (Author's POV)
In the midst of the grand celebration, the chandeliers sparkled, the music played, but all Ruhan felt was the storm inside him. The weight of his family's crumbling world hung heavy on his chest. Siya, radiant in her bridal attire, sensed the turmoil beneath his poised exterior!
As they exchanged vows, she leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "I may not have been here through the storm, but I'll be your shelter through the aftermath."
Ruhan's jaw clenched, his eyes filled with unshed pain. "Siya, you're the only thing that makes sense in all this chaos. If I lose myself, I'll be able to find my way back to you."
She looked deep into his eyes, her grip tightening on his hand. "Then I'll hold you together, even if it means stitching our hearts with the broken pieces of your past."
In that moment, despite the surrounding chaos, their bond solidified-intense, unshakable, a force that would withstand anything. She was his anchor, and he was her world.
Ajay×Rishika (Author's POV)
In the quiet corners of the Bhardwaj mansion, away from the chaos that enveloped the family, Rishika and Ajay found a brief moment of solace. They had just got married! The turmoil of Aashika's betrayal and the shattering trust hung heavy in the air, but Rishika knew she had to stand by Ajay, her rock.
Ajay stared out of the window, his fists clenched, his heart aching for his family. Rishika gently touched his arm, her voice soft yet resolute. "You don't have to bear this weight alone, Ajay. I'm here, every step of the way."
He turned, his eyes heavy with the burden he carried. "Rishika, I don't know if I can hold it all together. Everything's falling apart."
She took his hand, her gaze fierce with love. "If the world falls apart, then we'll build a new one, piece by piece. Together."
Ajay pulled her close, resting his forehead against hers. "You're my reason to keep going. No matter how dark it gets, I'll fight for you, for us."
Rishika smiled, her heart swelling. "We'll weather this storm, Ajay, because we're stronger together. Always."
In that fleeting moment, amidst the chaos, they found their strength-an unbreakable bond that no storm could tear apart.
Rivan (Author's POV)
Rivan was the only one who still exchanged a few words with Rohit after everything went down. Despite the tension that had shattered the Bhardwaj family, Rivan couldn't completely shut Rohit out. Maybe it was his carefree nature, or perhaps it was his belief that no wound was too deep to heal. But things had changed for him too. The lighthearted, party-going bachelor had grown quieter since the incident, as if a shadow had been cast over his once carefree life.
He didn't say much when he saw Rohit-just brief nods or casual words, but the weight of unspoken emotions lingered between them. Rivan could feel the loss, the betrayal, the sadness that had turned their world upside down. He hid it well under his usual playboy persona, but inside, the cracks were there.
"Life moves on," he told himself, trying to drown the feelings in the noise of his parties and fleeting flings. But every time he returned to the Bhardwaj mansion, the reality of his broken family hit him harder. Rivan might still be the wild, untamed soul, but the carefree days were behind him. Now, there was a part of him that carried the weight of everything his family had lost-and even though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, it hurt more than he could show.
Rohit (Author's POV)
Rohit stood alone in the balcony, staring out at the vast emptiness that stretched beyond. The cold wind bit into his skin, but the real chill was inside his heart. His life had flipped upside down ever since he had made the decision to betray Aashika. The look on her face when he told her about Mita's marriage still haunted him-it was the moment he lost everything that ever mattered. The love of his life, his future, his reason to breathe-it was all gone.
But he couldn't stop now. Rohit knew deep inside that he had to protect her at all costs, even if it meant severing every connection he had to his old self. Aashika didn't know the storm brewing around her, the threats lurking in the shadows, and he couldn't let her suffer any more pain. He had no choice but to walk into the darkness, to gain the kind of power that could shield her from the monsters waiting to strike. The underworld was brutal, unforgiving, but it was the only path left.
Rohit steeled himself, making up his mind to infiltrate the world of crime, but not for greed or control. He would never become one of them. His own soul would never let that happen!
His goal was simple: to protect Aashika from every evil force, to ensure that no one would ever harm her again. He would do whatever it took-cut off all ties, erase every lively connection he once cherished, and become the man who operated from the shadows.
As he stared into the night, the weight of his decision settled in. It wasn't just about losing her; it was about losing himself in the process. But for her, he would bear it. For her safety, he would embrace the darkness, no matter how much it tore him apart. All he wanted was to see her happy and safe, even if it meant watching her from a distance, even if it meant Aashika never knew what sacrifices he made for her.
Aashika (Author's POV)
Aashika immersed herself in work, her once-vibrant life reduced to a relentless blur of deadlines and projects. The laughter and warmth of her family felt distant as she distanced herself from them, hiding her pain behind a facade of busyness. With each passing day, she channeled her heartbreak into her career, using it as both a shield and a weapon against the suffocating grief that threatened to consume her.
But it wasn't just work that occupied her mind. Aashika became a relentless investigator, determined to uncover the truth behind the death of her baby. Every late night spent poring over hospital records and speaking to anyone who might hold a clue became an obsession, each revelation a piece of her fractured heart. This quest for justice transformed her pain into purpose, her baby's memory fueling her every action.
In the quiet moments, when the weight of her sorrow pressed hardest, she found that she couldn't bring herself to hate Rohit. If he truly believed Mita was perfect for him, then perhaps it highlighted her own perceived flaws. For Aashika, Rohit had always been a mirror, reflecting her insecurities and the doubts that plagued her.
In spite of everything, she had a fierce determination to rise above the betrayal and reclaim her identity. Aashika vowed to transform her pain into power, to honor her lost child by uncovering the truth and confronting her flaws. She was no longer just a grieving mother; she was a warrior, ready to fight for her baby's memory and her own healing. With every step she took, Aashika forged a new path, one where her work and her investigation were not just distractions, but the very essence of her strength and resilience.
But she never realised throughout her way, she distanced herself from people so much that maybe love seemed a joke to her. Now, Rohit is just another man for her! That's it, nothing less or more!
Ved×Isha (Author's POV)
Ved and Isha stood together, their love growing stronger with each passing day. They had married despite refusal from their families, having dated for six years. Now, with the birth of their baby boy, Vansh, their lives were filled with joy. Yet, in the background, Aashika's pain never left the space.
Isha often tried to lift Aashika's spirits, but the sadness in her sister-in-law's eyes was hard to ignore. Aashika carried her grief in silence, and Ved felt the weight of her struggles. He wished she would open up and let them help her, but Aashika seemed determined to bear her pain alone.
As they watched Vansh take his first steps, Ved turned to Isha, concern etched on his face. "I wish Aashika would have been with us!" he said quietly. Isha agreed, knowing how much Aashika needed their support.
That night, as they sat on the balcony, Ved made a promise to himself. He wouldn't let Aashika fight her battles alone. Their family might be in turmoil, but love could help them heal. They would find a way to bring Aashika back into the light, reminding her that she was not alone in her sorrow.
Nayantara×Ehsaas (Author's POV)
Nayantara sat on the edge of her bed, gazing out of the window as the sun dipped below the horizon. She cradled her newborn, Ridhaan, in her arms, feeling the weight of her reality pressing down on her. The once vibrant dreams of love and companionship with Abhishek felt like a distant memory. Instead, she found herself in a situationship with Ehsaas, a man who barely acknowledged her or their child.
Ehsaas drifted through life, consumed by his own benefits and indifference. He never took the time to be the partner Nayantara desperately needed, leaving her feeling isolated and alone. Every day was a struggle to balance her hopes for Ridhaan's future while grappling with her heartbreak over unfulfilled dreams. She wanted to provide him with love, but the lack of support from Ehsaas made it nearly impossible.
Despite the turmoil, Nayantara found moments of strength in her role as a mother. She poured her love into Ridhaan, determined to give him the life she yearned for. Thoughts of Abhishek were the only reason for her to live, reminding her of what could have been if family pressures hadn't dictated her choices.
Each night, as she tucked Ridhaan into bed, she whispered promises to him. Nayantara resolved to break the cycle of unfulfilled dreams for her son, hoping that one day he would understand the strength it took to keep going in the face of heartache.
Nysa×Vinay (Author's POV)
Nysa had left Arjun before she even realized she was pregnant with their son, Kiaan. The years with Arjun had been toxic, and she had no desire to share her child with a man who had never truly cared for her. So, she raised Kiaan on her own, pouring her heart into motherhood and her career, doing everything she could to give him the love and stability she had lacked.
Vinay came into their lives when Kiaan was still a baby. He wasn't just Nysa's rock-he became a father figure to Kiaan in every sense of the word. The bond between them was unbreakable, built on love, trust, and Vinay's unwavering commitment to being there for both of them. He stepped into the role of a father effortlessly, and Kiaan never felt the absence of Arjun in his life.
Nysa had found peace in this little family she had built, knowing that she had finally escaped the darkness of her past. Vinay gave her the love and support she needed, and together they had created a life full of warmth and happiness for Kiaan.
