011 — UNUSUAL ALLIANCE

Flynn anxiously walked besides Klaus. He was still terrified of the man and definitely thought he was going to kill Flynn at any given moment. But Klaus had requested that he tag along with him for whatever unknown reason so here Flynn was walking besides Klaus trying to match his pace which was proven tricky as Klaus was a vampire and Flynn was only human.

"D-do you think you could slow down a little." Flynn asked the man who stopped suddenly turning back to him without saying a word and giving the boy a dark look.

Flynn thimbles over his words and he quickly jogged a few paces to catch up. "I-I mean, this is good...nice pace really works those quads." He joked trying to not anger the man, who had cracked a smile that went unnoticed before slightly slowing down his pace for the boy but continued to say nothing.

They finally reached the cemetery to which Flynn still had no idea why they were there in the first place but continued to keep his mouth shut as he wished to keep his tongue. The two rounded a corner and appeared behind a girl who was kneeled down besides a tombstone. She seemed to of sensed their presence as she sighed in annoyance without even turning to them.

"What do you want, Klaus?" She asked sounding slightly upset.

Klaus smiled. "Well, perhaps I'm merely concerned about you. You do seem to spend an inordinate amount of time in graveyards for a teenage. It's a rather morbid habit." He told her matter of factly.

Davina slowly got up from her kneeling position. "Well, I am touched by your concern. Anything else?" She replied sarcastically not really wanting to be around the man.

Klaus pretended to think for a moment before taking a step forward. "Now that you mention it, there is one matter with which I can use your help— Mikael. It appears that my sister, Freya, has dispatched him to gather some items I require, and seeing as how you brought him back from the dead, I'm guessing you have the means to find him." He explains as Davina turns to face him and gives him a look that communicates that she is unamused by his request, before looking past him for a second towards Flynn in confusion before looking back at Klaus.

Klaus saw the confusion in Davina's eyes and quickly brushed it off. "He's with me. He's somewhat valuable to Dahlia so for now he's staying with me." Was all he said.

Davina was still slightly confusion on who the boy was but it didn't concern her. "Sorry. I'd love to help. But I'm a little busy mourning another dead boyfriend." She said spitefully, as this is now the second time someone she has loved has died because of his family.

Davina made a move to leave, but Klaus held out a hand to stop her as his demeanor changed.

"Do you think you're the only one who grieves my brother?" He asks her his tone turned more serious. "I understand you hope to bring Kol back. Resurrection spells can be very tricky. They tend to require a remnant from the dearly departed. I, myself, am the guardian to Kol'a remains—the ashes of his true body." He informs Davina peeking her interest. "Now, I might be inclined to entrust them to you, we're myself feeling helpful." He told her trying to bargain a deal.

"Fine." Davina gave in, she only wanted Kol back and if she had to team up with Klaus to be able to do so then she would. "I'll find Mikael for you, and you'll give me Kol's ashes. Deal?" She rose an eyebrow.

Klaus smiled down at her happy to have come to a compromise. "Come along Flynn, we have work to do." He called after the boy as he made his leave.

Flynn walked besides Klaus as they walked through the quarter to meet Davina. He was currently eyeing all the stalls looking at what they were selling. His eyes stopped when he spotted a small golden necklace with a sun charm, it reminded him of Rapunzel and he knew he couldn't keep the necklace he stole from Freya so he thought he could instead give her something else. He instinctively looked around to make sure that no one was watching and was about to subtly swipe it before a hand closed around his wrist.

Flynn looked up in fear seeing Klaus' face but the man simply smiled and placed some money into the boys hand before letting go. "Think of it as payment for helping me stop my vengeful aunt against my daughter. After we're finished with Dahlia you should be set up nicely to never have to steal your way through life again." Klaus said, he knew that Flynn spotted the necklace for Rapunzel and thought that he should actually buy something for once instead of stealing it especially it being a gift for a girl he obviously likes.

Flynn went to say something back to Klaus but nothing came out he just kept opening and closing his mouth shocked at the mans kindness as he had heard so many stories on his family, so instead he nodded in thanks before picking up the necklace and handing the money over. He quickly pocketed the necklace and they then continue to walk down the street where Davina was impatiently waiting for them.

"So, what's the deal, anyway? Aiden at your beck and call now?" Davina asks Klaus who sits down next to her on the bench. Flynn sat next to him looking down the street as he's sure the conversation will just bore him.

"I'm simply mentoring a promising young wolf."

"Josh isn't gonna be too happy when he find out about it." Davina told him knowing that Josh wouldn't like the fact that Klaus was putting him in the middle of all of this.

Flynn snapped back into the conversation at the mention of the name. "Josh?" He asked. "Josh, the vampire who's serving Marcel or whatever. That Josh?" He asked incredulously leaning over closer to the pair.

"You know Josh?" Davina asked Flynn who nodded.

"How do you know our young Joshua?" Klaus asked interested in how the two boys knew of one another.

"Marcel got Josh to follow Rapunzel and I—well just me— anyway, Rapunzel told him some sob story of her life convincing Josh not to tell Marcel my whereabouts and instead help us hide from the vampires trying to find us as we made our way into the French Quarter but we lost him after the whole boat incident. Yeah...we didn't really get on he's sort of a stick in the mud-" he saw Davinas facial expression and quickly stopped. "Nice guy, nice guy. 10/10, I'm going to stop talking now because you look like you're going to murder me." He trailed off before realising he hadn't even introduced himself to the girl. "Flynn, Flynn Rider." He held his hand out to the girl but Klaus smacked it away and carried on his conversation with Davina, completely ignoring Flynn who pouted.

"And I am shaking at the mere thought of his displeasure. You see, Davina, Josh and Aiden are in love, which means they both have something to lose. Thus making them all too easily manipulated...should the need arise." Both Davina and Flynn frowned at the man but for two different reasons. Flynn was slightly taken back by his words as it seemed Klaus had manipulated Flynn into helping him by threatening Rapunzel's life when he first had them in his home, but he was also only doing it to protect his daughter so he gets it.

Klaus notices Davinas stare and turns to her confused.

"It must really suck to have to be you all the time." She deadpanned. Klaus tilted his head in slightly agreement but was also mildly offended at the fact that he was being called out by a teenage girl. However he just shrugged in response.

"...well, it hasn't been a picnic...honestly."

Davina sighed. "You know, the thing is, you have that thing, too, don't you?" She asked carefully not wanting a rise out of him.

Klaus sighs too as he smiles at her mockingly.

"Someone you love more than anything, even yourself." As she said this Klaus' smile fell at the mention of his daughter.

"How does that feel, to be one of us? Someone with something to lose?" And at all Flynn could see how terrified Klaus was to lose his daughter, he knew that the man would do anything to save her even if it meant sacrificing himself first and Flynn could relate to that and that scared him because he too would do the same for Rapunzel even only knowing the girl for a short few days he knew she was the one for him. She showed him what it felt like to be loved and he had shown her the world.

Flynn was drawn out of his thoughts as Davina gestures towards a yellow cab that had pulled up at the side of the road.

"Klaus, there." Was all she said pointing to the cab to the right of them as the cab door opened, and Mikael stepped out onto the street.

Klaus appears behind him in a second and when Mikael senses his presence he turns to face him.

"Well, well, well, well— if it isn't the bastard himself. Have you come looking for another beating boy?" Mikael taunted him but Klaus looked at him unimpressed.

"As much as I'd love to kill you again, I wonder if our interests might be better served by joining forces. You know full well the threat we face. So, how about it, Father? Care to join your bastard son on a witch-hunt?" Klaus offers as he takes a step closer to Mikael who smiles intrigued with his offer.

"That's awesome, it's like when Eric teamed up with Charles to save humanity from a nuclear attack. In this case the nuclear attack would be Dahlia." Flynn told Davina excitedly watching the two men talk, even though they clearly look like they would rather be elsewhere.

Davina just gave the boy a look clearly not in the mood for his jokes causing Flynn to sigh heavily. "Or not. I'll just be here making no noise and pretending I don't exist."

I ended it here as otherwise it was going to be super long I only intended for Flynn to have one chapter but I think there's going to be three or four in total with Flynn's POV. So we won't be seeing Rapunzel for a while...
