CERISE LAID IN BED WITH EDDIE, THEIR exposed bodies glistening with sweat under the afternoon radiance. Under the thin blankets, Cerise burrowed her face in Eddie's bare chest, him pressing kisses on top of her head every minute. She traced his spider tattoo that rested on top of his heart, finding it intriguing the art he had tattooed to portray him.

Eddie gazed down at Cerise with adoration, his brown doe eyes tracing every feature of her skin. The pad of his fingertips brushed against her cheekbone, the intensity of her smile, mirroring Eddie's.

"You're so beautiful," Eddie murmured, his eyes not once trailing away from Cerise's. Smiling softly, she leaned in, peppering gentle kisses on top of his swollen lips. Cerise noticed her pink shimmering lip gloss decorated his entire jaw and lips and she blushed immensely.

Noticing the way her cheeks were rising with heat, he questioned her. "What is it?"

"Nothing, it's just...well, my lipgloss is all over your body." Cerise felt embarrassed, hiding her face in Eddie's shoulder. She felt a low grumble, to only find out he was laughing in a teasing manner. She gaped her mouth open, acting offended as she slapped his chest.

"No," Cerise's voice drawled, throwing the blanket over her face, hiding her embarrassed reaction from Eddie. "Don't laugh."

This seemed to provoke Eddie into a burst of boisterous laughter, tears nearly forming in his eyes from the excessive amount of pressure that rose on his face. He saw the lump figure under the blankets and inhaled a deep breath before going under the bedsheets himself.

There laid an embarrassed Cerise, covering her face with her hands. Eddie shifted his body closer to hers so he can wrap one arm around her waist, while his other hand removed hers from her face.

"Don't hide that pretty face from me, sweetheart," Eddie cooed. Seeing Eddie's comforting smile made Cerise's stomach churn in many directions. It was extraordinarily contagious, Cerise couldn't help but lift her lips into a smile reciprocating her boyfriend's.

Cerise's bare body was completely stripped of her clothing, the only thing covering her was the blanket that rested on top of her. She typically would feel insecure and cautious with such vulnerability exposed but when she was with Eddie, he provided her a feeling of contentment and security.

Repositioning her body, Cerise sat up and straddled Eddie's waist with her legs, and leaned down to place her chin on his chest. She traced small circles on his skin with her polished nails, Eddie lightly caressing her hand, removing his rings to sink them onto her fingers.

"You really are something else, Edward Munson," Cerise muttered, her attention solely focused on his irises. She lifted her hand so her palm was caressing his cheek and Eddie leaned into her touch, his hand overlapping with hers.

"I'm hoping that is a good thing?" Eddie asked, already knowing the answer to Cerise's statement. Chuckling lightheartedly, Cerise leaned down, embracing Eddie's lips with another passionate and sincere kiss. He hungrily returned the kiss, impossibly tightening his arms around her waist, their chests leaving absolutely no space between them. Knowing how easily Eddie likes to escalate intimate situations, Cerise pulled away from him and rolled off the bed to gather the clothes that were scattered in the room.

She swiftly slipped on her shirt and found her pants, however, she was unable to retrieve her panties. Her eyes scanned every aperture of the room, with the same outcome; no luck.

"Looking for this?" Hearing that sarcastic and deep voice of her boyfriend, Cerise bit her lip gently, a smile rising to her cheeks. Turning around, she saw Eddie, who only had his pants on, holding her crimson lace underwear with a vainglorious smirk climbing on his face.

"Eddie," Cerise teased in a faux scolding tone. "Give it back please."

Eddie trod closer to Cerise in a predatorily stalking fashion, his piercing gaze not leaving her eyes. When he reached her body, he left no space between them and forcefully grasped the back of Cerise's neck to only pull her face closer to his.

"Make me," Eddie rasped, his face vanishing of any state of playfulness. It almost scared Cerise, seeing him this serious, but at the same time, it was hot.

"How about this? You give me my underwear back and later, we can go for round two," Cerise whispered in a nearly seductive tone. Eddie's eyebrows rose and his serious expression was replaced with his charming signature grin, his dimples making Cerise feel like melting.

Cerise lifted her legs as Eddie unhurriedly rolled the panties onto her, letting the elastic of the undergarment intentionally snap at her hip. Cerise gasped at the slight tinge of burning pain aching on her skin then pivoted her head to glare at him, to only see him licking his lips.

Cerise quickly put on her pants and sat down on the bed, leaning against the backboard, and patted the spot next to her for him. Eddie slipped on his shirt and furrowed his eyebrows slightly but obliged his girlfriend's request.

The honeydew orange scrunchie that was grasping her wrist was now expanding on her fingers. Cerise clasped the bunch of Eddie's curly locks in her hands and securely tied his coffee mahogany hair with the scrunchie. Turning around, a smile crept up on Eddie's face as he saw his reflection in the dresser mirror.

Cerise unfurled her fingers through his bangs, pursing her lips in concentration. When she saw everything was perfect, a grin rose on her face.

"Perfect. Stay here," Cerise ordered. Eddie scrunched his eyebrows in confusion, watching as Cerise wandered into the living room to retrieve a sea-foam turquoise pouch. She hopped onto the bed like a child and squealed in excitement about what she was going to do to Eddie.

"What's in the bag?" Eddie questioned, attempting to sneak a peek at the object in it, but Cerise dragged it out of his sight.

"Nope. No peeking." Cerise mounted herself on Eddie's lap, his hands instinctively resting on her waist. She pulled out what seemed to look like a pencil and Eddie grew worried, wondering what his girlfriend was about to do to him.

"Baby, are you going to draw on me?"

"Something like that. I want to do your eyeliner for you." Her cheeks flushed with excitement and there was no possible way Eddie could say not to the happy expression that decorated Cerise's face.

"Fine, just don't poke my eye out."

"No promises."

Cerise lowered her body, her left hand caressing his cheek, while her right one steadily traced the obsidian color above his lashes. The ticklish sensitive sensation jolted a spark in Eddie's body, causing him subconsciously tighten the grip on Cerise's waist.

Shifting her position in Eddie's lap, Cerise heard her boyfriend whimper out a groan, causing the young Harrington to stop what she was doing.

"Eds, are you okay?"

"Baby, you gotta stop moving like that. Especially when you're on top of me." Cerise looked puzzled, but then it finally dawned on her. When Cerise lightly shifted herself once again, she felt the slight hardness underneath her body.

"Oh!? Shit, I'm sorry." Cerise looked flustered and this only drove Eddie into a deep fit of laughter.

"Don't be sorry, sweetheart. See, this is what you do to me and only you."

Cerise playfully rolled her eyes and pressed her lips against Eddie's before continuing his eyeliner. It only took Cerise several minutes to perfect her masterpiece and when she finished, she stood up off the bed to admire her work on her boyfriend.

"My God, you are so gorgeous," Cerise muttered, absolutely entranced at the sight of Eddie with makeup on. Eddie chuckled before rising to his feet, slithering his arms comfortably around her waist.

Eddie stayed silent, nothing but the gracious wind flowing through the peaked open window and the pungent floral scent rising in their noses. He stared at her with adoration, no words escaping his mouth.

"What's wrong?" Cerise asked, noticing the way Eddie was completely silent, but his eyes were intently glued onto hers.

What Eddie did next confused Cerise. Eddie held up his hand, his pinky finger lifted into the air. Furrowing her eyebrows in incertitude, Cerise stared at him with befuddlement.

"Promise me."

"What? Promise you what?"

"Promise me that this is forever, Cerise. After seeing you basically die on me, I-I don't think I can go through that again. So promise me, you won't leave me ever again."

Cerise was dumbfounded at Eddie's words. She stood completely frigid in her spot, her arms wrapping tighter around Eddie's aching body. She desperately wanted to tell him that she will not leave him, but after the events that recently occurred with her, Cerise wasn't sure if she could keep that promise.

"I mean, knowing our luck, who knows what if I get eaten by a vampire or something?" Cerise quipped, attempting to lighten the mood with a joke. Eddie still held his momentous expression, his pink finger still held in the air.

"Please, Cerise, just promise me."

Sighing seeing that Eddie would not leave without the answer he wanted, Cerise inhaled a deep pained breath before speaking.

"I can't promise you that I won't live without the danger, but I will promise you that I won't leave your side," Cerise murmured with reassurance. This seemed to satisfy Eddie's need for aiding his worries.

Eddie pressed a loving and devoted kiss on Cerise's lips, holding her tight against his body as if she were to vanish into thin air. Cerise melted into the kiss, feeling as if she were dark rich chocolate swirling in a metallic silver bowl.

However, their intimate moment was abruptly interrupted when the couple heard the loud sounds of car doors slamming shut. Cerise tip-toed to the window, crouching to see that Jason Carver and his friends were mere feet away from the house.

"Oh, shit, shit! Eddie, you have to hide, Jason is here," Cerise whisper-shouted to Eddie who was across the hallway.

Before Eddie could protest, someone shouting Cerise's name made her heart drop into oblivion.

"Cerise, is that you inside?" Jason's voice echoed outside of the house. She internally cursed at herself and ushered Eddie to go in the boat house.

Eddie was being stubborn. He wouldn't leave unless she was with him, but after giving him her signature death glare, Eddie begrudgingly obliged, slowly sprinting his way to the boat house.

Cerise jumped at the tumultuous sound of the harsh knocks repetitively hammering the door with someone's fists. She knew there was no going back now, seeing how Jason knew Cerise was inside. It was no lie to Cerise that Jason was smart.

But Cerise was smarter and she desperately needed to outsmart the blonde boy immediately.

Recomposing her shaking hands and after inhaling an exasperated breath, Cerise reached the metallic copper chain that locked the door on top of her then twisted the tarnished golden knob of the door, turning it clockwise. She felt the collision of the blazing sun radiate her face with slanting light rays.

There stood at the door; Jason Carver with a wicked grin plastered on his face, accompanied by Andy and Patrick. Cerise gave Patrick a small smile before diverting her hard attention to the blonde.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here," Jason sneered in a mocking tone, an iniquitous smile cornering his face. "Cerise Harrington. What a surprise."

Cerise rolled her eyes at the jock but kept her composure. "What do you want, Carver, and why are you here?"

"I should be asking you the same thing. I care about you Cerise, and I don't know about you, but it seems odd how a sweet girl like you would be at a drug dealer's house." Jason's condescending tone did not once falter and this rose Cerise's temper to the max.

"Ever heard of house sitting?"

"For a drug dealer?" Jason pressed.

"Don't judge a book by its cover, honey," Cerise spat, using the same patronizing tone as Jason. The jock boiled in anger at her tone, his calm demeanor gradually fluctuating by the second.

Jason stepped closer to Cerise, inches away from her face as the Harrington did not move in the doorway. Jason's piercing blue eyes met with Cerise's fierce mahogany ones and her deadpanned face made the blonde boy snicker.

"You know, it's rude to leave your guest outside the door after a while," Jason stated as if it were obvious. Cerise scoffed and tilted her head closer to Jason's, not being intimidated by the jock.

"Funny, who said you were guests? Look, I only tolerated you for Chrissy's sake, but now that she's goneโ€”"

"โ€”See, what's funny is that you say that you were friends with my girlfriend, yet, you didn't even go to her funeral," Jason countered, his face taunting faux shock.

Cerise felt guilty for a second, internally cursing at herself for not going to one of her friends' funerals. Chrissy was always there for Cerise whenever she hit a low, she was there for her, and not attending her funeral felt like the Harrington girl was being stabbed in the heart from guilt.

"Look, I don't know why you're here, but leave right now, before I make you," Cerise fumed with the signature Harrington flare.

"Oh, you scared we found out that you're harboring your freak of a boyfriend, Eddie?"

Her heart dropped at the mention of her boyfriend. Luckily, she instantly recomposed herself and quivered her eyebrows, feigning confusion.

"Who's Eddie?" Cerise tried to play it off, acting as if she were completely clueless, but her heart was saying otherwise. Her chest was incessantly beating and the palpitations were scampering all over her body. She was extremely nervous.

"Yeah, that's it. I don't like it when you lie to me, sweetheart." That pet name sounded atrocious, considering it didn't come out of Cerise's boyfriend's mouth. Jason licked his lips and diverted his attention to the ground for a moment. Within seconds, Jason grabbed Cerise by the neck, forcing his way into the home. Jason didn't stop his long strides until Cerise's back harshly hit the wall.

She desperately gasped for air, feeling his grip that was overwhelmed by anger and sadness for the death of his girlfriend. But he was not the only one who was angry.

Cerise wasted no seconds in kneeing Jason in his private area, causing him to fall on his knees. Just as she was about to get away, Jason grabbed the collar of her shirt, yanking her body back onto the ground. He had the upper hand and Jason pinned her wrists above her head then pressed his hand on her forehead, hammering her cranium onto the wooden floorboard.

Cerise yelped in pain, black blotches forming in her blurred vision, the sudden feeling of liquid decorating the back of her head. That was when Patrick had enough. He stepped in, forcing his way in an attempt to pry Jason's grip off of Cerise's wrists.

"Dude, back off, she's had enough!" Patrick desperately pleaded, but Jason was blinded by anger. He swiftly shoved his hands off of his body.

"Back off, Patrick. Go with Andy and check the house. Cerise and I are going to have a little fun," Jason whispered the last part directly toward Cerise, a sinister smile adorning his sadistic face.

With all of the strength Cerise had left in her body, she languidly twisted her head to see the incarnadine-colored liquid profusely dripping down her scalp. Her eyes widened at the sight of the blood, internally questioning how much of the crimson liquid was escaping her head.

The raging fire that was once embellished in Cerise's jubilant eyes, was now gone. It was gutted into exhaustion and Cerise fought every power in her body to not scream for Eddie's name for help.

Eddie. The one person that made Cerise feel like she was sincerely happy. The way his unfettered laugh would instantly light up the room when she was around, or when he would scatter multiple kisses on her body for no reason.

Eddie was the reason why Cerise had to keep fighting, but it was hard for her to fight when the vermilion carmine blood continued to trickle down her head at a fast pace.

Cerise was trapped by Jason. Eddie was fighting every power in his body to be with Cerise.

Hell was going to break loose.
