"you guys!! Someday, I swear! I'm going to Elbaph!! To the village of warriors!!!" Usopp declared making Luffy and Alice join him too.

"All right, Usopp!! Let's do it!! Let's go to the land of giants!!" Luffy encouraged him while Alice and Carue nodded in agreement.

"Yea!!! I too wanna meet the giants!"

Three of them side-hugging each other while singing together made Carue dance along with them. Alice held his wings and danced with him.

"Alice!" Sanji's voice made her leave them and join him in the kitchen. She saw him holding a plate of snacks. She looked at him patiently to listen to what he had to say. Sanji smiled at that, that was the difference between the two siblings. Luffy didn't care and ate anything he saw. Alice waited until she knew it was hers and then eat it.

"Give this to that shitty swordsman. I have yours specially made with extra love and care" he said and placed the plate on her outstretched palm. She nodded while flashing him a smile before leaving the galley. She sniffed and followed the scent.

She walked out and went to the back deck and saw him working out. He was talking to himself which he did from time to time to encourage himself.

"Zoro~" Alice called. He turned to see her holding snacks on a plate so he put down the ginormous weight lifter and took the plate. Patting her head as a thank you before feeding her one bite and sending her away.

She stopped halfway through and sniffed the air. She ran to the deck to see who was sick. Looking around she saw Nami leaning against the mast while Vivi was talking to her, sitting in front of her. They had a plate of snacks too.

Alice jumped down and ran towards Nami and crouched down at the perfect time when she started to fall.

"Nami!!" Vivi called out in worry with a hand outstretched.

Alice caught her and turned her in her arms. She felt the burning heat from her. Her eyes widen and looked at Vivi.

"Vivi-san! She's burning up, badly! Inform others, I'll bring her to the room!" Alice said who nodded immediately and left to gather others. While Alice scooped up Nami, carrying her in princess style and ran to the girl's room. She could bear Vivi announcing to others about Nami's condition.

She placed her down on her bed and covered her with the blanket. Running out she almost collided with Sanji but she immediately left towards the bathroom and brought a bucket and a towel to the room.

Placing the cold rag on her forehead while she took a feel breath, she could feel the heat radiating off of her.

"Is Nami-swan gonna die!!!? Is she, Alice!!?" Sanji asked, tears running down his eyes while shaking her shoulder she turned to him with a face that meant she didn't know shit.

"I'm not sure. The fever is high though." She replied and turned to Vivi when she started speaking.

"It's probably the climate. One of the dangers you encounter upon entering the grand line is a sickness caused by the extreme weather." She explained making Alice nod. It was reasonable since the weather changes all the time.

"Even the most notorious pirates who sail the seas can suddenly get sick and die. It's a common occurrence." When Vivi said this, Alice furrowed her eyebrows and clenched her jaw as if she knew this and experienced it.

"Even a little cold can kill you if you're not careful. Isn't there anyone on board who knows a little medicine?" Vivi asked making Alice look at her before raising her hand. While Luffy and Usopp pointed at Nami so she followed her brother and pointed at Nami.

"Huh? Alice you know?" Vivi asked making her nod.
"Not much but I need to see what's wrong first. Can you give me the thermometer? It's in the drawer by Nami's desk." she replied and crouched down in front of Nami again. She stared at Nami as her mind reminded her of times when she lost someone to sickness too.

"Here," Vivi gave her the thermometer and Alice checked her temperature and showed it to Vivi.

"104 DEGREES!!? Her fever is getting worse!!" Vivi exclaimed gaining the attention of the males in the room.

"There's sure to be a doctor in Alabasta, tight? How far is it, Vivi?" Usopp asked.
"I'm not sure, but it'll take us at least a week!" Vivi replied.

"It will take more than a week, alright. We have to find a doctor before that" Alice said and Luffy became tense at the tone in her voice. It was serious and it was shaking ever so slightly. Not noticeable but Luffy did.

"Does it hurt to be sick?" He asked while pouting, wondering what caused his sister to become so rigid.
"Dunno, I've never been sick." Sanji and Usopp replied and Luffy turned to Alice thinking she'll reply too but she had her lips slightly apart and a frown on her face. She shook her head and started to place a cold cloth again.

"Are you people even human!!?" Vivi yelled at them.

"Of course, it hurts!! A fever of 104 is catastrophic!! It could kill her!"

"WAAHHHH!!!!!"

"Don't say that!" Alice told them before looking at them with a frown. Making them shut their mouth.

"She'll be fine! We have to take care of her, okay? Until we find a doctor we should be gentle and careful." She said, shocking them.

But none of us can navigate....and I'm not best at it either....

"WE GOTTA FIND A DOCTOR AND HAVE HIM CURE NAMI!!" Luffy demanded making Vivi panic. Alice perked up and she felt like Nami was awake. An animal intrusion.

While Vivi asked them to calm down and not make noise because it wasn't good for her.

"It's no good..." Nami mumbled so Alice sat on her knees. She held Nami's shoulder, helping her sit up and caught the cloth before it fell.

"Oh!? Nami?"

"Hey! She's better!!"

"Don't be stupid!!"

"In my desk....there's a newspaper," she said while leaning on Alice for support.

"It can't be..." Vivi gasped, sweat rolling down her temple. "What's wrong?"
"Is it about Alabasta!!?" Sanji asked everyone's attention now on Vivi.

"This is terrible!! 300,000 soldiers have defected from the royal army and joined the rebels!?" She read the news from the paper making Alice widen her eyes.

"The royal army used to have 600,000 men and the rebel army had 400,000. This changes everything!!!" Vivi spoke making everyone shocked. Except for Nami, since she already knew about this.

"Now the violence in Alabasta with intensify...." Nami mumbled before looking at her.

"That newspaper's from three days ago. I'm sorry. Letting you see that wouldn't make the ship go faster....and...I didn't want you to worry, so I hid it from you" she said, before holding Alice's shoulder with her hand, but there was no energy in it. This made Alice hold her arm, supporting her fragile body.

"Do you understand, Luffy?" Nami questioned him, who crossed his arms.

"I get the feeling that this bad" he replied with a slight pout but he was serious, nonetheless.

"It is. I'm glad to see you're taking this seriously."

"You need to see a doctor, Nami," Usopp told her, trying to make her understand that her condition was serious.

"I'm fine," She pulled her legs from the blanket putting it down. This made her slightly drowsy but since Alice was holding her, she didn't fall.

"That thermometer must be broken. It's impossible to have temperature of 104"

"It was probably just sunstroke. I don't need to see a doctor. We have to stick to the plan..and head straight for Alabasta" She said while heading outside. Alice follows behind. She turned back to look at the crew.

"Thanks for worrying about me," She said with a grateful smile, before turning to Alice.

"You don't need to be around me, Alice," She told but Alice frowned at her.

"Please, let me be, Nami. I want to"

They both walked outside to see Zoro sitting on the rail, lifting his weights. Nami looked around and back at the log pose near Zoro.

"Hey!! What are you looking at!!?" She yelled at him making him and Alice confused. He turned towards her with a confused face.

"What? The ship's going straight ahead" he replied, continuing his training.

"Straight ahead according to what? You have to look at the log pose!!"

"I don't need to. I just follow that big cloud over there..."

"Don't you know that clouds move and change shape?!"

"Zoro, you had one job to do, brother..." Alice mumbled making him chop her head and holding her head after.

"Oh, I can't take this. My head hurts" Nami mumbled, holding her head, and walking away from Zoro. Meanwhile, he didn't like that and held Alice's head tighter. She hit his hands multiple times while continuously calling his name.

"Zorozorozrozrozro!!!?!"

"Just leave it to me and get some sleep!" He said before letting go of Alice's head when she bit his arm.

"I would if I could, but that would be suicide" she replied making Alice laugh before stopping when she saw his hand reaching for her head and ran around Nami to get behind her.

"I and Alice will do it if it makes you feel better, alright?" Zoro reasoned making Alice nod.

"Yea, Nami. I don't want to see you sick" She said with a frown. Zoro raised his brow at her sad tone.

"The air is different..."

"The air? It's been nice and sunny all day"

"Nevermind. Alice, can you call others?" Nami said thinking she'll go down.

"Hey, you guys!! Come out here! It's time to get to work!" But she yelled from the upper deck, Zoro following in the suit and hopping down from the rail.

"We're gonna make a turn to the south." he called out after they came out of the room.

"I don't take orders from you"

"Shut up and get to work! Hoist the sails and wind to port"

"Right" Usopp replied. Not the one he wanted the reply from but it'll work for now.

"Huh?" Nami let out a sound when Luffy came to the upper deck and placed his hands on her forehead. "Ouch! You're hot!! We have to get you to a doctor" he replied while holding his burning hand with a scowl.

"That's not necessary!! This is my normal temperature!! So stop acting stupid and pull a rope" Nami ordered making him frown. Alice was inside the galley with the door open, holding onto the rudder.

Alice felt a shocking pain shoot up her spine before getting a strong pain near her ears and around her temples but she held onto the rudder turner. A hand holding her head before her glanced at the water. The pain increased dramatically making her grind her teeth and hold the rudder tighter causing it to crack.

"Everyone, I need to ask a favour of you" Vivi came out the door and walked up the upper deck. Gathering others' attention.

"I know this is selfish of me after all you've done already but my country is in grave peril, and I've got to get back right away!" She said making Alice frown.

Nami is in no condition to go....

"There's not a moment to spare!!" Alice closed her eyes, understanding where the princess came from.

"So I want you to sail this ship at maximum speed and head straight for Alabasta!!" She said making the crew grimace at the words.

"Of course! We promised you we would!!" Nami however was happy to hear the words from the bluenette.

"So, let's look for an island with a doctor as soon as possible," she told, making them look back up at her surprised and confused.
"If we want to get to Alabasta, we need to get Nami well so we can get there faster!" This made the crew happy.

Alice slumped down when she felt blood running down her ears. The pain dwindled making her sigh in relief before wiping it away when Luffy yelled that something was up ahead.

Looking ahead they saw a huge cyclone. While Vivi held Nami securely, others worked together to change the course. Alice changed the rudder direction making the ship turn its direction. Zoro and Luffy straighten the furls, increasing their speed.

Sweat rolled down Alice's forehead. The pounding pain returned after she used her strength to change the direction of the rudder. She excused herself to the male's room. Trying to sleep it off.

While she was out as light in seconds, Luffy came down to check on his sister. His eyes widened thinking she had a fever too. He placed his hand on her forehead but her forehead was at normal temperature. He thought maybe she was tired from the event but she was always, constantly, energetic. There's no way things would change after a few years of them being apart from each other. An annoying feeling settled in his chest at the feeling of not being able to understand his sister. He pressed his lips into a thin line, brows furrowed in concentration. A few seconds later his face turned into one of a sad frown. Tears gathered in his eyes.

As the tears flowed comically down his cheeks, he bit on his jacket. Frustrated at the thoughts inside his brain.

His cries stopped when he saw her face contrasting into one of a painful frown. He looked at her with a blank expression.

An old memory resurfacing.

"Ne, what happened to Alice!? Why isn't she with us?"

"She is hurt"

"WHAT!?"

"Shut up! She'll be fine"

"I don't want her to be hurt!! Who hurt her!?"

"She fell, Luffy! Now shut up! You'll kill us!"

He remembered the times his brothers refrained him letting him near Alice. When asked why. They replied that he'll only cause her more pain.

But....

What pain? Why is Alice in pain?

Is she hungry!?

"That has to be!" He said to himself, before going out towards Sanji who was about to go inside the woman's quarters.

"Sanji!! Sanjiiiiii!" He called making the said male snap his head at him, annoyed.

"What!?"

"Alice is hurt! She needs food!!" He said making him widen his eyes and practically threw him away to get towards her.

He climbed down to see Alice sleeping on the couch. A smile on her lips, while her chest went up and down rhythmically. He tilted his head in confusion.

She looked peaceful to him.

He turned back when he heard Luffy jumping down.
"Why did you lie!?" He whisper-yelled at Luffy before pulling him up by his ears.

"She was happily sleeping, you idiot!!! Are you trying to disturb her or something!?"

"No! She looked like she was in pain when I saw her!!"

"Well, she was smiling!!"

In the end, Sanji left with a bump on his captain's head while he slipped into the male's room grumpily.

She wasn't smiling now. But she didn't look in pain. Sleeping might've helped.

He concluded that his sister is now fine.

Alice's senses however betrayed her this time and couldn't smell anything. So she was sound asleep. Dreaming about different phases in her life.

Some good. Some bad. And some....very bad

The very next day

And so, ignoring the eternal pose that pointed the way to Alabasta, they sailed the merry-go in search of a doctor.

"Hey! See any doctor?!" Zoro yelled from the ship's mast making Usopp sweat drop at him.

"You expect us to find a doctor out here!?" He snapped at him. Zoro can be so stupid.

They were in the open sea, with no island in sight either. As if someone would appear out of nowhere.

"Hey, guys, take a look. Is that somebody standing out there?" Zoro said, making Usopp and Luffy reply that someone can't stand on water.

"Then....what's that out there?"

They looked up and saw a man standing on the water looking at them. He was a tall guy with a winter outfit and a clown muffler. He had arrows behind him too.

Alice tried to use her eagle eyes but it hurts a little so she frowned and just looked at him with her normal eyes.

Four straw hat pirates stared down at him as he did that back before he let out a breath.

"Boy, sure is cold today," He said making them sweat.

Luffy and Usopp exchanged words. "Yeah, sure is"

"Uh-huh. It's cold alright"

They once again stared down at each other. Zoro's stare was more hostile while Alice's was more curious. Luffy and Usopp were shocked and alert.

Out of nowhere a ship asascendsron water, causing the crew to go on alert. Well, while yelling.

"AAAAAHHH!!"

"Woah! What's that? A watermelon?" Luffy questioned. Alice raised her brows hearing the unintentional pun from her brother.

"It's a ship. Kinda cool that it can turn into a submarine" she said as it started to open like orange peels.

I'm hungry....

It opened completely making Alice's pale at the size.

"This size.....it oddly reminds me of that ship....." She trailed off while she sweats cold bullets. She shook her head.

It's in the past!!

A loud laugh sore through the wind causing a shiver to run through her spine.

PAAASSST!!!! PAST, ALICE. PAST!!!

"Were you surprised by blinking, my giant submersible attack ship!!?"

Sanji ran outside the quarters demanding what happened before he saw what was in front of them.

"What happened?" He asked calmly. Luffy turned to him. "That ship attacked us"

Suddenly many people jumped down with guns in their hands. Aiming it towards the crew.

Alice looked around her to see her surrounded by men. She couldn't even see her members. She frowned.

"I thought it was something like that from the looks of it" Sanji replied.

"Hey, we are in a hurry," Luffy said making a man hold the gun to his neck but Luffy was passive.

"Hmm," the man hummed making Alice narrow her eyes. The men around her sensed her hostility and immediately held guns against her body. Neck, head, forehead, back, and stomach. Haha, luck that she can turn into a smaller animal to es-

Wait, she can't do that now since her body almost shut down before.

Sweat rolled down her temple.

"Fuck"
