"You need to give the phone back, it totally wasn't cool of you to take it from her. So be a good boyfriend and give it back." Ashlyn was explaining to EJ as I opened my locker and decided to listen in,

"I will I will," EJ told her as she walked off I couldn't help but ask him,
"Hey E, what was that about?" I asked as he realized that I knew there was no point in lying to me,
"I may or may not have gotten Nini's phone and then I was planning on giving it back to her but then there was this voicemail from Ricky and I couldn't help but listen to it." He rambled as my eyes went big,
"E! You can't go meddling where it isn't your place," I exclaimed as he nodded
"I know, but I couldn't help it. And it was about how they shared a moment together and that he wants to improve things with her." He explained as my heart shattered

So that boy tells me that I'm the number one in his life just to go sent her a voice message saying that he wants her back?

"Still E, you shouldn't have taken her phone. If you don't give it back to her by the end of the day I'm telling her." I said to him as he grabbed my arm
"I wasn't even the one who took it." He whispered into my ear as I scoffed,
"Yes because all phones can just walk off into other people's bags," I said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes,
"Gina put it in there." He added right before he walked off and left me standing in the middle of the hallway with wide eyes

She what?

I walked around the school looking for Gina as I saw her shut her locker,
"Yo Gina!" I called out as she turned and smiled at me
"What's up?" She asked as I knew I had to tell her,
"Why did you steal Nini's phone?" I asked her as she looked at me shocked,
"I have no clue-," She said as I crossed my arms,
"Don't play dumb with me, EJ already told me. I just want to know why you did it." I stated as she glared at me,
"I had to do what I had to do." She said as she walked off making sure to bump into me as she left.

"Do you think she got my message?" Ricky asked Big Red as he shrugged,

"I wouldn't beat yourself up if she didn't get it," I said to them as I sat down for lunch with the boys assuming that they were talking about the voice note to Nini

Yes it did hurt but I am going to give EJ some time to redeem himself before I say anything

"How are your brothers?" Big Red asked me trying to change the subject immediately,

"Okay, what have you two done?" I asked knowing that they were hiding something from me

"What makes you think we have done something." Ricky gulped as I crossed my arms

"When was the last time Big Red here asked about either of my brothers." I shot back as both boys squirmed in their seats

"I am not about to force you two to tell me anything, all I ask is that you realize I'm not that stupid," I added as I started eating lunch

Miss Jenn wanted Nini, Gina and me for an early rehearsal, yet when I arrived all I saw was Gina and Miss Jenn,

"So glad that you were able to join us!" Miss Jenn exclaimed as I put my bags down,

"We should start now, Nini will just have to catch up," Gina stated as Miss Jenn nodded. I couldn't help keep my mind from drifting to Ricky's voicemail to Nini as Gina was trying to teach me a new dance number for the two of us,
"Aurora, are you even watching?" Miss Jenn scolded me as I snapped out of my daydream

"I am really sorry, it's just I can't seem to clear my head," I explained to her being fully honest,

"Just breathe and try pay attention please." She said as I nodded, Gina redid the dance number one last time and then tried it with me

"Yes!" Miss Jenn clapped her hands as we finished and Nini came in,

"Where have you been?" Miss Jenn asked her as I put my tray down and grabbed my water

"I'm really sorry, I lost my phone so I played hunter-gatherer last night which is not as fun as it sounds, and then I found my phone in the lost and found," Nini answered as I got annoyed knowing that EJ didn't actually tell her the full story,

"Okay just do the dance with Gina and Aurora." Miss Jenn pointed over to the two of us as she nodded,

"Actually Miss Jenn, I was wondering if I could take a breather. Cause then Gina can help her one-on-one," I said in a questionable tone

"Great idea," Miss Jenn stated as I walked out of the bomb shelter to hear Ricky and EJ in a different practice room going off at each other. As I walked over to try to figure out what was going on EJ stormed out of the room with a bloody nose.

"E, wait up!" I said as I ran up to him and followed him into the boy's bathroom.

"Sit," I pointed at the sink as he sat

"What happened?" I asked as I wet some paper towel to help clean up his nose,

"Ricky and I were meant to be doing this warm-up where we threw the ball to each other and then he threw it and hit me square in the face!" EJ exclaimed as I stood there and thought for a moment,

"Okay, what part of the story are you not telling me?" I asked him with my hands on my hips,

"The part where we both got too into it and said some stuff, but that doesn't me that he can just throw a ball at me." He stated as I nodded,

"How about I get you to the nurse and then I'll talk to Ricky?" I proposed as he nodded

I waved goodbye to the school nurse knowing that she was going to put. up with EJ for the next few minutes and went off to find Ricky
