Subtle taps of rain drops on Minho's bedroom window wake Han in the hours of late morning. Han barely blinks awake, hesitating to move as he feels Minho's arm wrapped around his waist. He could hear the gentle thunder rumbling overhead, only listening for a second before the pitter-pattering of droplets against the window sent him further and further back over the edge towards dreamland.
Minho suddenly hums warmly in his sleep, which in turn causes Han to wake up again. Han felt a sleepy smile curl on his lips, beginning to slightly turn around so he was facing towards Minho. Minho barely moves during this, almost as if he was subconsciously waiting for Han to stop moving before his hands find Han's back, pulling him back into his chest.
Minho tore off his shirt sometime in the middle of the night after claiming Han was some type of radiator, and Han found it suddenly hard to ignore his smooth skin and muscular build. Han's hand slowly creeps up between their bodies to touch Minho's chest, fingers trekking across familiar skin he's seen naked twice before. Though, in this context, while Minho is asleep and can't see the affectionate, sleepy gaze stuck in Han's eyes; this felt different.
"Jisung?" Minho hums softly, eyes still closed with his hand gently moving up and down across Han's back.
"Hm?" Han smiles, gaze stuck on Minho's chest.
"We should get out of bed." Minho's voice was a cent deeper, tinged in sleepy mumbles that made Han smile sheepishly.
"But you're warm and so is the bed," Han sighs, watching Minho finally open his eyes, adjusting his head just barely enough to see Han's expression. "I might die of hypothermia if I leave."
Minho scoffs at him then presses a soft kiss against his forehead. "We can't have that then."
"I can't believe the party last night," Han mutters softly, his other hand reaching up to rest in Minho's hair, fingers tangling gently between his dark auburn locks.
"I can't believe any of that happened." Minho admits, gaze raised towards his window as more thunder quietly roars overhead.
"Does any of what happened bother you?"
"Kind of." Minho's gaze falls back towards Han, jaw suddenly tight as the truth lingers on his tongue. "I feel bad for how I reacted."
"No, don't feel bad." Han assures, leaning his head back slightly as he rests his head into the pillow. "You had a fairly normal reaction to someone as vile as her."
"I don't like to act so crazy." Minho sighs, eyes searching Han's gaze as he sits quietly for a second, wordlessly searching for his own answers to lingering questions. "I'm just sorry you had to see me like that."
"I'm not worried about how you acted, Minho." Han's hand that was in Minho's hair drops towards his jaw, gently cupping his face as he looks at his partner. "I'm more worried about how you felt."
"I'm glad you were there with me." Minho smiles at him for a second before his gaze shoots towards his window, watching a flash of lightning suddenly warm his darkened room. Thunder hangs louder over the home, heavier rain falling against the window as the males rest in the safety of their bed, arms wrapped around one another and legs delicately tangled. "I don't think I even thanked you for standing up for me."
"It felt nice to shut her up," Han smiles, watching Minho's gaze return to his own. "Watching her smug ass face suddenly turn emotionless was hilarious."
"I'm glad you think so." Minho laughs softly.
"Why do we have such shitty exes?"
"I dunno," Minho hums, tilting his head down slightly. "Maybe we needed to find them to find each other?"
"God," Han smiles. "Such a simp answer."
"I swear to god, if you don't stop calling me that-!"
"Then you'll what?" Han smirks, eyes narrow with a playfully threatening glare. Han doesn't expect anything other than a playful response back, so when Minho suddenly leans close and presses a languid, but passionate kiss to his lips, he can only smile in defeat.
Han's hand finds the back of Minho's neck as the elder leans over him, pressing more kisses to his lips before breaking away and smiling down at him. "I'll do that."
"Maybe I should just keep calling you that then?" Han smiles, kissing Minho once more before leaning back into his pillow, watching Minho's face dapple with redness.
"You're so smug," Minho sighs, elbow propping him up to stay towering over his partner.
"You like me like that." Han coos, watching Minho smile warmly.
"I love you, actually."
"Oh right!" Han laughs. "I guess you do."
"Hey," Minho smacks Han's chest lightly with his free hand, watching the younger chuckle beneath him.
Minho really did love him. It wasn't just this moment that he felt it, though it was incredibly warm and sweet, but he knew he felt this way when they were cuddled on the couch and watching movies together, or even when they were walking to Hyunjin's house ready to swim the day away. Only in the soft moments they share in private does Minho really let the thought sink into his skin that he really loved Han.
Han was special and Han was his. He relished in that knowledge, loving nothing more than leaving fresh red marks on Han's skin that only he could ever see in between his sheets, and holding him like the world was ending the next morning.
But only when Han smiles up at him like this, cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling with affection does Minho really feel the adoration beating through his veins. He loves him. He truly, truly loves him.
"I love you too, Minho." Han finally says back softly after quieting his laughter.
Minho knows it now; Han really loves him too.
"Are you hungry?" Minho asks after placing a quick, gentle kiss on Han's lips.
"Not really." Han looks away for a second, eyes spotting another flash of lightning. "Are you?"
"A bit." Minho ignores the weather now, eyes solely set on his boyfriend.
"Do you want me to make you something?" Han asks warmly, and Minho smiles.
"Y'know. . . it's funny how you make me breakfast in my house."
"It's because I love you, idiot." Han punches Minho's arm gently, watching the older boy laugh quietly. "Now do you want me to make you something or not?"
"Sure, Hannie. Fine." Minho breathes, watching the curly-haired male sit upright when Minho is no longer towering over him, faces barely inches away from one another. Han's hands find Minho's jawline as he presses another longing kiss to his lips, feeling Minho's hands slowly start to drift towards his waist.
"Food first," Han mutters against his lips, feeling the elder smile at him before kissing him again. "Then we can do whatever you want."
"Whatever I want?" Minho smirks, eyes narrowing by the second. Han rolls his eyes.
"Yes Minho." Han sighs, escaping from the warmth of their shared bed as he reaches for his usual hoodie hanging loosely on the edge of Minho's desk chair.
Minho watches Han pull the hoodie over his body, wanting nothing more than to rip it right back off of him.
"Are you coming?" Han asks, reaching for his phone as his hand rakes through his messy hair that Minho found oh so attractive.
"Yup." Minho's eyes snap down to his hands, throwing the blanket off of his waist and swinging his legs over the edge of his mattress. Han normally didn't fluster him like this, but somewhere in the world of longing and lust did he feel the urge to paint Han's neck in loving kisses.
The pair heads downstairs after Minho throws on a random t-shirt from his closet to match his black joggers he had thrown on without thinking the night before. Han had perused through the kitchen cabinets and the fridge, searching for something to make only to avoid ordering food to wait even longer.
Eventually Han gives up with a humbling sigh, unable to find any food worth cooking as Minho opens the app on his phone and starts ordering breakfast for the both of them. Han tries to pay for it, but Minho threatens him with kisses to his jaw and persuades him otherwise.
Now they're sitting on the all-too-familiar couch, Minho's arm over Han's shoulders as they barely pay attention to a random anime they decided to put on nearly twenty minutes ago. Han's attention was towards his phone, stuck between texting Felix and scrolling through Instagram, while Minho tried to watch the anime, but in all honesty had no idea what was going on.
Occasionally Han will show Minho some sort of video or meme that he scrolls past, but otherwise they remain silent, just enjoying the quiet of their company until their food arrives.
"Minho," Han puts his phone down after tirelessly scrolling through boring posts and videos.
"Hm?" Minho turns his focus away from the show, eyes finding Han's almost immediately.
"I'm bored."
"I know, me too."
"How long until the food gets here?"
Minho reaches for his phone sitting on the cushion beside him, tapping his screen awake before swiping it unlocked. Han watches patiently, head slowly leaning over until it lands on Minho's left shoulder, eyes watching Minho open the app and search for the driver's ETA. "Ten minutes."
Han lets a dramatic sigh roll through his lips, listening to Minho chuckle at him as he sets his phone back down. "I thought you weren't hungry?"
"I wasn't. But now that you ordered waffles for both of us from my favorite place downtown, I can't help but feel starved."
"Oh, you poor thing." Minho smiles pitifully at him, turning his gaze back towards his pouting partner.
"Minhoooo-" Han cries, but Minho can tell that he's fighting the urge to smile at his own obnoxious fake sadness.
"Oh stop," Minho rolls his eyes, trying to turn his attention back towards the show, but Han is incredibly persistent.
"Lee Minhooooo-" Han finally breaks, a laugh tinged to the end of his cry.
"Han Jisungieee-" Minho finally calls back, turning his attention back towards his hangry boyfriend, who simply smiles at him sheepishly.
"Hi."
"You're so dramatic." Minho scoffs, almost ready to turn his attention away again until Han starts moving next to him.
Han moves and straddles his lap suddenly, hands resting on his shoulders and Minho can feel Han's breath on his lips.
Minho sure as hell wasn't going to object to what was happening, but the moment their bodies touch, Minho can feel the heat rising in his chest. His hands find their familiar place on Han's waist, fingers gripping into Han's shorts lightly as he feels the younger's eyes on him.
Rain continues to tap on the windows nearby as they sit there, just looking at one another for a moment while Minho was almost confused as to what Han's intentions were; but Han kisses the befuddled look off of his face. Minho leans into the kiss, feeling Han push back timidly, hands sinking from Minho's shoulders to his biceps, then to his chest, suddenly drifting further until they stop just above his waistline.
Han breaks away for a second, lips hovering against Minho's as he breathes and collects himself, almost unsure of his hands as they linger on the hem of Minho's black joggers.
Minho's eyelashes flutter as he looks from Han's gaze and down to his own waist-placed hands, fingernails gently grasping the fabric bunched up against Han's skin. His heart was beginning to race, skin flushing with fluid breaths breathing against Han's lips as he sits and waits, not wanting to push Han any further than this.
But Han insists. He wasn't sure if this was what he wanted, barely half-awake and knowing fully that both parties were recovering from a rather traumatic night, but nothing felt more right than this.
Han's nose nudges against Minho's lightly, mouth lazily moving to the edge of Minho's lips as he presses a soft kiss there, then tracks further towards his jaw until he ends up on his throat.
"Ji-" Minho breathes, hands finding it hard to remain complacent as the younger accidentally grinds down onto him. Oh, fuck.
The sudden noise pitched from Minho's throat is captured by Han's lips as he envelops him into another kiss, building a larger fire to burn between their waists.
Minho smiles against his lips, sneaking a hand under Han's shirt and hoodie, feeling familiar skin warm against his palm and fingertips. Han hardly resists, a hand reaching further to untie the drawstring knotted against Minho's waist.
Minho no longer feels the need to delay as his hands find the bottom of Han's hoodie and begins to tug it back over his head, just like he wanted to thirty minutes ago, watching Han's flushed cheeks and glazed eyes stare back at him, freshly kissed lips surging back for more as Han's hands reach back for his pants.
"Someone's eager," Minho huffs lightly when Han pulls away briefly for air.
"I told you I was hungry," Han mumbles lightly, fingers finally pulling the knot open.
"Had I known you were hungry like that," Minho breathes between kisses. "I would've skipped ordering food."
"You're a simp." Han laughs lightly, watching Minho's expression suddenly fall as he bites the inside of his cheek. He knew the comment was coming, but god, he can't help but feel that Han was right.
Han knew the consequences of calling Minho that now, and it was almost like he was begging for the same reaction as last time; Minho happily obliges.
Longing kisses are pressed back against Han's lips as Minho feels Han's fingers curve over his waistband. He pulls and pulls until the fabric falls to Minho's knees, and it's only then that Han gets off of his lap to pull his joggers all the way to the floor.
Minho readily grabs Han's gray shirt, pulling another article of clothing over his head to leave him bare chested and smiling like an idiot. Minho's own hands pull at his own shirt, tossing it off of the couch the moment he feels cool air greet his stomach.
This was only the second time they had initiated any kind of sex, but the way their hands knew one another and the way their kisses left familiar bruises sparked the feeling that they had done this a million times, but something about this time was different than the first.
Then again, everything felt different to Minho now. He thought he was in love with Min-Ji a year ago, but that didn't feel like this. Regardless of the amount of sex they had or the time they shared, nothing felt as easy as his relationship with Han did.
There he sits, almost completely naked and watching his boyfriend undress himself, eyes raking over every dip and curve of his body, teeth finding the middle of his bottom lip as he watches with intrigue.
Han walks back over, legs swinging back up to straddle Minho once more, hands resting around the back of his neck gently. Minho wants to tell him a hundred things, but nothing comes out, and he instead looks at him lovingly.
Instead of using words, Han connects their lips again, feeling irresistibly close to Minho now, skin touching skin and hands finding waists as they sit on the couch, the television still on in the background.
The storm had passed, it was just raining now. Somehow the comfort of rain fills the voided space when Han pulls Minho's final layer of clothing free from his body and discards it to the floor.
Time feels like it flies away from Minho when he feels Han's hand reach down between his thighs, wrapping a warm hand around him to elicit a subtle groan from his lips.
Han's forehead tips forwards, gently pressing against Minho's as he listens to him start to slowly fall apart at his hands.
"Jisung-" Minho whispers breathlessly, head tilting back slightly as he feels his lips brush past Han's.
"I've got you," Han coos, pressing loving kisses on Minho's forehead, then to his cheekbones, all the way down to his jaw before meeting him back at his lips.
The first time they had done this, Minho watched Han fall apart at his hands, stealing the breath from his lungs and breathing into him, listening to Han's soft noises fill the space voided by the once-playing movie.
The sight of Han pleading below him, begging to be touched and wanting nothing more than to feel more of Minho in that moment, before any stronger feelings were even attached sent his heart astray. But now, knowing the extent of their feelings with Han on his lap, hand wrapped around him; he could fall apart so easily.
"Minho-" Han breathes. "I need you to touch me."
Minho's hands immediately find Han's waist, trailing upwards towards his sides as he finds it hard to focus with Han's hand between his legs. But without thinking his hands drift back down, greeting Han between his legs also, listening to the subtle hiss that emerges from the younger's lips.
But before they know it, hands become quicker-paced and eyes turn hungry, breaths hitching as groans overpower the sound of the television. Han's hand suddenly leaves, catching Minho's attention as Han's body language turns rapid. Minho then realizes what Han is searching for, muttering a quiet "wallet" to Han breathlessly.
In the midst of their search for protection, three knocks ring out against the front door, leaving both males to turn and look towards the source of the sound, but neither of them care too much to keep looking longer than ten seconds.
"It's our food," Minho breathes and Han finally finds what he was looking for, tossing the small golden packet over towards Minho before glancing behind him at the front door.
"I forgot we ordered waffles." Han shrugs, nearly rushing back to straddle Minho's lap again.
"Fuck the waffles." Minho smiles, throwing the now empty wrapper away to the floor. Han laughs at him as he leans back in, lips connecting almost immediately as hands find familiar spots on each other's bodies, hips grinding together before Minho feels Han sink down onto him.
Their foreheads pressed together at the sudden flush of closeness, breaths mixing between them as they sit idly. Minho can feel Han's nails lightly dig into his shoulders, but he really couldn't care less.
"I love you," Han whispers, pressing three quick, gentle kisses to Minho's forehead.
Minho's hands, which were stuck to Han's waist again, start to encourage Han's hips to grind upwards, air leaving his lungs the moment Han starts to move. He's so brutally honest when the words roll from his tongue, wanting nothing more than to feel and to touch Han until he goes numb. "I love you more than anything."
Any other words are stuck in his throat, eyes lulling shut with a hitched exhale escaping parted lips. Lustful noises are the only thing heard in the quiet home, nearly masked by the pouring rain and barely-audible ambient television.
"I'm really glad they put the syrup on the side," Han mentions lightly, fork digging into a cold, fluffy waffle.
"Little did they know what they'd be delivering to." Minho offers lightly, taking another bite from his own fork.
"Hey now," Han points his fork, with a piece of his waffle stuck on the prongs, towards Minho, eyes narrowing with a barely threatening gaze. "That was done in the privacy of our-"
Han cuts himself off. "Oops. Your home."
"I think your brain is rotten from living with me." Minho sets his fork down for a second, watching Han eat another mouthful happily.
"Nah," Han shrugs. "I'm just kind of dumb."
"No you're not." Minho jokingly reaches over to smack Han's bare shoulder and Han pretends to flinch away. "Stop saying that."
"Aw, Minhoo-" Han smiles, setting down his container with a half-eaten waffle. "Did I make you upset?"
"No," Minho hates that Han's voice makes him laugh when he's trying to be stern, given that they're both shirtless and only wearing their pants, but everything about the situation just seemed funny to him. "You're just ridiculous."
"But you love me!" Han smiles, hands reaching over to touch and grab Minho's arm.
"Not the point! Shut up and eat your waffle, Jisung."
"Rude." Han begrudgingly takes another bite of his cold breakfast, eyes suddenly turning towards Minho's discarded and now ringing phone still sitting on the floor after they promptly ruined the couch and pushed everything off.
"Who the hell is calling me?" Minho sighs as he moves to reach for his phone, fingers just barely catching the corner of his phone case as he drags it towards him, looking to see his phone screen lit up with an incoming call.
"Felix?"
"Hey, sorry to bug you. Have you seen Twitter today?"
"No, I've been-" Minho looks over to Han as he shoves another piece of his waffle into his cheeks. "I've been busy. Why?"
"Do you want me to tell you, or would you rather see it?"
"Is it about Ji?"
"It's about you, hyung."
"Oh." Minho's voice trails off as he listens to Han chew annoyingly next to him. "Do I wanna know what she said?"
"How did you know?"
"This is unfortunately not my first rodeo with her and her antics."
"Right."
"How bad is it?"
"Bad enough. Her friends are boosting the post which is adding fuel to the fire. She posted it overnight, I guess, sometime after she left the party."
"She's such a piece of shit." Minho rolls his eyes as he leans into the back of the couch, now feeling Han's focus finally drift towards him.
"Do you want me to tell you what it says?"
"Yeah."
"Ex-boyfriends are truly cruel people. The pain that they can inflict on you will last a lifetime, regardless of how much you try to ignore it, especially after they put their hands on you."
"She's a liar." Minho's voice was trembling suddenly, leaving Han to look at him worriedly.
"I know. You don't have to explain anything to me. We'll set the record straight, don't worry. Just try to enjoy the time with Ji. He's there, right?"
"Yeah, he's right next to me."
"I'll keep an eye on twitter, just put your phone down and leave the problem for tomorrow since there isn't much we can do right now."
"You're sounding like my mother, Felix."
"I did hang out a lot at your house as a kid, so it was bound to happen. Please call me if you need anything. You know I don't live that far."
"I know. Thank you for telling me."
"Anytime. Tell Ji I said hi."
"I will. Bye."
Minho's phone dims as he sets it down on the couch to his left, almost near his empty container that used to hold his forgotten breakfast. Han is timidly reaching over towards Minho now, but Minho turns and faces him, expression falling fast with tears lingering in his gaze.
"Minho," Han says sadly, reaching his arms around him in a tight embrace.
"It's her again, Ji." Minho's head finds Han's shoulder, burying his face into his neck.
"I could kind of hear Felix through the phone. Don't let her get to you, okay? That's what she wants."
"I know, I know." Minho sighs, pulling away from Han shyly. Han could tell that he was swallowing the urge to cry, holding the pain in his heart and keeping it at bay. Min-Ji really did have sort of hold on him still, and all Han can feel is empathy towards his lover.
Not only does he understand the resentment flowing through Minho's veins, but he recognizes the heartbreak and pain deeply set within his eyes, wanting nothing more than to take it away like Minho took his.
"We'll deal with it together, okay?"
"Yeah." Minho tries to smile at him, but it's kind of pitiful when he does. Han smiles back lovingly, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to Minho's forehead, which he was getting incredibly fond of doing.
"Let's take a shower, put on a movie and turn off the lights. It's gonna rain all day, so why not enjoy the gloomy weather by cuddling on the couch with a cozy blanket?"
"It does sound nice, but you're gonna fall asleep during the movie."
"Am not."
"Are too." Minho finally manages to smile as Han rolls his eyes defensively.
"I guess we'll just have to wait and see!"
Sure enough, after a long shower and a change of clothes, with some added clean-up time for the living space, Minho finds himself gently stroking his fingers through Han's hair as he sleeps on his chest.
He did fear the idea of going to classes tomorrow, but like Felix said, it was a problem for tomorrow. So for now, he would kiss Han until he could barely breathe and hold him as if he never would get the chance to ever again.
