(Author's POV)

Sweat and tears running down her beautiful face, she was driving her way to the hospital after the horrifying call.

Jimin had an accident.

Jungkook who was right beside as he saw her running out of the company and saw the state she was in.

Even though his heart ached at how she was crying because of another man, he was also worried for Jimin. He hated Jimin with all his guts but that doesn't mean he would want him to die or even get hurt.

Arriving at the hospital both of them ran towards the reception desk and asked for Jimin's room number or wherever he was.

"He is currently in the operation room, his condition is very critical." The doctor spoke to them.

"Who is Y/N?" he questioned.

Y/N raised her hand reluctantly, her head was throbbing in pain as if it was not the first time she visited the hospital as if it was happening all over again.

As if she forgot her whole past.

"He kept on repeating your name again and again while saying 'Please remember me'" He spoke making her mind go blank and the pain in her head just increased and she felt dizzy.

"Y/N sweetheart calm down!" Jungkook said cupping her cheeks as he saw her dizzy state.

"He is like this because of me" Y/N sobbed out.

Jungkook guided her face into his chest and held her while caressing her hair.

"Calm down princess, he will be okay" he kept on repeating the same words, again and again, to help her calm down.

The doctor came out with a frown on his face making her heart race even faster.

"He has very little time left, I think it's better if you meet him," he spoke making her mind go blank.

Not wasting any time the both of them went into the room, where Jimin was laying with his eyes half-open a big bandage on his head which is still leaking out some blood.

As soon as Y/N saw his state she cupped her face with one hand in horror.

The guy she leaned on, not as a lover but as a best friend is about to die and she can't do anything.

Jimin smiled as soon as he saw her but when he saw her tears he frowned.

"Don't cry" he spoke weakly.

When she finally was beside him holding his hand, he put all his strength and pulled her closer to hug her.

"Eat well and don't overwork yourself, baby" he whispered through his pain making her heart ache more.

"Take care of her, make sure she always keeps on smiling or I will haunt you as a ghost," he said glancing at Jungkook who nodded as a reply with tears falling down his face.

As she pulled away from the hug he held the back of her neck and pecked her lips before whispering for the last time "I love you, Lee Y/N".

With that, the beeping of the monitors stopped

She lost him.

"Jimin-ah let's have some ice cream," Y/N said as they were coming back from their date.

"I will go bring it!" Jimin spoke turning his wheelchair towards the road but before he could do that Y/N already held it and went towards the other side without speaking a word.

"She really loves to tease me," he thought to himself while shaking his head.

'Vanilla' he smiled as he saw how she picked his favorite flavor without even hesitating once and of course mint chocolate for herself.

As she was coming towards with her small smile as always.

But the next thing he knew that she was laying on the door with a pool of blood under her head.

That's the day everything changed.

That's the day his heart was taken away from his body.

Even though he was the one who decided to do this but he knew he wouldn't be able to keep her happy and safe.

So he left her.

He left his everything forever.

(At The Funeral)

The world did not felt joyful to Y/n anymore. Even after coming to his funeral, she still refused to believe his death. Her heart pains in the sight of everyone crying, she felt if as everyone's cries were a reminder for her to know that he was no more in her life.

'Why' was the only word that on her mind. No matter how much she thinks, she could not find any reason for him to decide to end his life. After the police informed her that it was not an accident, but a self-attempting accident...She no more felt like breathing.

She just wanted to know the reason behind his death... But she could not ask... And see him anything. Even Jungkook warm hugs did not comfort her guilty heart.

She was feeling guilty for the fact that he was in so much pain that he decided to end his life, but she could no do any about it. She was so much in her world that she did not notice his pain...

Regret teaches us lots of things...

His bright smile was the only thing she was thinking of, as tears were streaming down her face. She kneeled in front of his grave while crying loudly as everyone looked at her with sympathy and pity.

Out of a sudden, she felt someone hugging her with the same warmth, and scent that Jimin used to have. "J-Jimin" She looked at the person in hurry, but only got disappointed.

It was a middle-aged woman giving her a sad smile. "Please Don't cry... My Jiminie won't be happy." By the familiar facial features, she immediately knew who she was.

With a word, she hugged the middle-aged woman as she was seeking comfort in her embrace. "Shhh..please don't cry anymore Y/nie..my Jiminie loves you a lot, he doesn't like to see you in pain..." Y/n who was listening to Mrs. Park's words felt a little comfortable...

Without any words, she kept on hugging her and cried on her shoulder. Soon she felt tired, and slowly fell asleep in Mrs. Park's embrace.

(Y/N'S POV)

Opening my eyes slowly with a heavy headache, I got up from my sleeping position and sat properly. After gaining my vision, I looked around my surroundings.

While looking around my gaze fell upon the big photo frames on the wall. A tear dropped down my eye as I realized that where I was. I was in Jimin's room...

I stared at his smiling photos on the wall before getting up from the bed. I walked towards them and caressed his photos as our shared moments flashed before my eyes.

"Stop it Y/n.." I tried comforting myself as I remembered Mrs. Park's words. I turned my back towards his photos to get a hold of myself. I walked towards the bed again and was about to say on it when a Black covered notebook caught my attention.

I frowned as I read the words written on its cover. "Jimin's personal Diary?" I reached out for it, and picked it up from the ground, before sitting on the bed. And opened it.

I flapped the first page, and start reading it...

"Year: 2007, January 12th.

The first time I saw her, I felt a very special warmth inside my empty heart...It is a very new feeling for me. I do not know what it is... But I know that she is the cause of it."

Her? Who is she? Did Jimin had an ex-girlfriend in the past? No, it cannot be...Cause he used to share his every story with me...being curious about the girl's identity, I flapped the second page.

"Year:2007, January 14th.

Today is a very special day for me, we finally became friends. Every time I look at her, I feel like the time has stopped and the only thing I can see is her... My love...my Y/n."

I was beyond shocked... How can it be?...when did we first meet?... Friends?.. Love?.. Why do I feel like I have forgotten something very important?... Why can't I remember anything...

Out of a sudden, I felt my vision blurred as my head started spinning in pain. Dropping the diary on the ground, I grabbed my head with both my hands. "AHHH..." I screamed out loud in pain and closed my eyes as I started having flashbacks...

My eyes filled with tears as memories started entering my mind. "J-Jimin..." From our first met to our last date...every moment of us started flashing inside my mind...My heart was racing nonstop for his presence.

"I...How c-can I gave him so much p-pain...jimin...my love. Why did I only remembered everything only now...now that I don't have him by my side..." I was very disappointed in myself as I stared at my hands while remembering him kissing them yesterday...

I lost control over myself as I screamed and started throwing everything..."HOW COULD I DO THAT?!... WHY?! WHY DID NOT REMEMBERED HIM EARLIER?!" My knees weaken and I fell to the ground..while still crying..it was too much for me...

I just wanted to end it all... I wanted to be with my Jimin...I wanted to see him and tell him that look Jimin I remember our forgotten memories...I remember your love...I wanted to tell him that my heart still beats for him... But now I cannot do anything...He is no more here...He probably hates me...

"Y/N?! Get up! Please.." I heard a voice calling out to me. I looked up and met with Mrs.Park's worried gaze. I chuckled sadly. "He probably hates me right?... I made him wait for so long... I made him suffer.." I sobbed while laying my head on her lap.

"Shh...he doesn't. My Jiminie cannot hate you." I felt her caressing my hair while saying those words...I looked at her before sobbing even more." whenever he used t-to call me, He would say that how much he is happy with you, and h-how much he wants to start his own family with you... You, he, and a baby boy. He used to tell me that his only happiness is you. He loves you unconditionally...There was not even a moment where he hated you. There was only love for you in his heart...Don't cry now... You will make him sad..." I was stunned by her words.

All he did was love me...He never doubted his love for me...But why did fate played with us... Why we did not end up together...I'm ashamed of myself for loving another man in his presence...How much heartbroken he must have been after knowing that I was living a happy life with another man...

"Please Forgive me...Jimin... I love you... I really do.." Those were the last words I said before darkness took over my vision.

(NEXT DAY)

(AUTHOR'S POV)

"Y/N...WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Y/n started packing her suitcase while ignoring her mother's words..after knowing the fact that her parents were aware of Jimin's love towards her, and still separated her from him for so many years, she could not stay with them under one roof.

She could not simply forgive them. they were the main reason for her separation from her beloved one. She hated them for snatching her happiness from her.

Without a word, she kept on ignoring their presence, and words while continuing to pack up her necessary things... She was wanted to stay away from them now. Including From all the people who made jimin suffer so much.

Even herself, she is still guilty... For hurting him... And after thinking about everything she decided to not ruin someone else life because of her...that someone was no one other than Jungkook who was waiting for her to come to him... But after knowing everything she cannot bring herself to continue being with Jungkook..or give him some false hope for a new future...

Keeping everything aside, she decided to stay away from him for his own sake. After a long night, the first thing she did was to call him and tell him everything about her past relationship with jimin...Even telling him that Jimin is still in her heart...and no one can take his place.

She made sure to apologize to him for everything and cut her every tie with him. So that he will start thinking about his own new future..and family.

Yesterday after hearing Mrs.Park's words, she decided to finish her studies abroad. And have taken a very big decision for her future...She now just wants to be a daughter to the woman who was very precious to jimin.

She promised herself to take care of his parents in his absence. She will treat them with love and care. She will never make them feel that their son is no more in this world. She will be their strength and help them in anything.

After all, Y/n was their soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and she would have felt extra guilty if Mrs. and Mr.Park were left alone.

A family that will never betray her..and this time she will never let anyone...Even herself to hurt them... Because She will protect them from every harm.

(2 weeks later)

Y/N huffed in frustration as she saw another bouquet waiting for her on the dining table, she has been getting them from Chanyeol for the last two weeks, ever since she decided to break, no matter how much she tries he never leaves her back.

"Y/N, you should give him a chance." Mrs.Park said as she has also been noticing the young man's effort towards her.

"How can I? My heart doesn't allow me..." she replied in a low voice.

"Do you know why Jiminnie agreed to leave you, even after loving you so madly?" She questioned him.

Y/N just shook her head not knowing an answer to her question, Mrs.Park chuckled and cupped the beautiful girl's face.

"Because he wanted you to be happy, with someone, even if that someone was not him although, he might look selfish at times, the reason he left was not something he wanted something he had to do, cause he wanted you to be happy," she spoke while emphasizing the word happy again and again.

"But how can I go to him after leaving him again and again?" Y/N as tears started glistening in her eyes while Mrs.Park just smiled at her still cupping her face, and pecked her forehead.

"Doesn't matter, cause in the end I am not leaving you." A familiar spoke from behind her as she slowly turned away and saw the man, she loved still after everything happened, besides Mr.Park who was slightly smiling.

"Sweetheart you really don't have a say in this matter, cause I don't want Park Jimin to ghost me in the nights." He spoke while taking steps towards and without realizing you also started doing the same.

When they reached each other, Jungkook took her small hand in his and took it in his hold.

"We weren't allowed to break up the moment I shook this hand, and even if you move on with someone else, I will never be able to leave you, after all, I am man too so I am as stubborn as one" he spoke raising your hands and intertwining your fingers to his.

"And we aren't letting you leave it, so my daughter this is definitely a forced marriage." Mrs.Park came and protected your intertwined hand in hers.

You slightly laughed at all of them being so dramatic but eventually gave up and nodded making Jungkook and Mrs.Park jump in happiness.

Mr.Park, who was behind you guys watching all the drama slightly looked at his son's picture which was with you and said

"She is just as happy as you wanted Jiminah, are you happy too?"

"Yes I am Appa." somebody from above heaven spoke to himself while closing his eyes.

There are times when you will feel hopeless and you will feel like the world is ending but the person you love will always be beside you, even if you know it or not, just like the two dorks you love with all your heart will always be beside and there will be times you will feel sad for not having Jimin beside you just as you promised each other too, but maybe that's what fate had for you and maybe you two weren't meant to have such pure love for each other, with one being alive. And as for Jungkook, no matter what happens you still love him and can't live without him.

Finally, the chapter of Painful Love has ended from your life's stories and you are ready to start anew with everybody you love beside you not physically but soulfully in each step.
