[ THIS IS A FILLER-ISH. THANKS FOR READING!! ]

Lili let out an ear-piercing scream as Cory's hand with the scissors came down and across her face, slashing her skin open from the top of her left eyebrow to her left cheek. She fell back and Cory took big strides towards her.

She shot her hand out and pulsed him to the wall. She got up and ran to where Jonathan and Nancy were to warn them. When she got there, a tall blond man stood in front of the pair and they looked up at him in horror.

Nancy caught Lili's eye and she widened her own, telling her not to come near. Lili turned and bolted down the other hallway.

"Lili..." Cory sang as he walked faster down the hallway. Lili looked over he shoulder to see him walking as if she wasn't sprinting.

There was a fire exit at the end of the hall and Lili pushed the door open to quickly make her way down the stairs. As she was running down what seemed to be a million steps, the door above her shattered and she screamed in terror. She felt pieces of metal and glass rain down on her as she pushed the door open to the third floor.

She ran into a faculty room and turned around and locked the door. She slowly walked backwards until her back hit the counter in the far wall. Cory's shadow loomed over the floor and he peered into the room. His eyes found Lili's and he started to wiggle the door knob.

"Dumb girl," he laughed. He punched the window and reached down to unlock the door. Lili stood frozen. She didn't think that she has ever been in this much fear. Cory walked in and started to drag his feet towards her.

Lili, using her abilities, picked up a coffee machine and chucked it at Cory. He slapped it down with ease.

She picked up a vase and threw it at him. He hit it away. Lili picked up a chair and rammed it into his chest. She pushed him back until he hit the wall.

"Cory, whatever you've done, whatever you're going to do," Lili was breathing heavily. "It's not you. It's him, he's making you do this!"

"Your little boyfriend turned my life hell," Cory seethed. "Now you're gonna pay for it."

Cory shoved the chair off and threw Lili across the room and onto the couch. She scrambled up and tried to crawl off of it, but Cory yanked her back. She laid on her back as Cory's knee pushed into her chest. She coughed from it and tears slid down her face.

"Cory, please!" Lili coughed. She tried pushing his knee off of her, but he didn't budge. He raised the surgical scissors above his head and was about to plunge them into her heart.

Lili sent a lethal pulse his way, making his neck crack and his head turn the other way. She stood up and grabbed a pipe from under the sink.

Cory was still alive, surprisingly. He peered up at her standing in her ripped swimsuit and bloodied shorts. Her hair was drenched with sweat and the gash on her face oozed blood down her face. Rage filled her eyes as she reeled back her arm with the pipe and hit it across Cory's head, effectively knocking him out.

She heaved a big breath and let the pipe go, listening to it clang against the floor. She wiped the blood from her nose with her tattooed arm, not caring if it smeared.

Suddenly, Cory's body started to move and shake. Lili picked up the pipe again, just in case he was still alive.

Then, the skin on Cory's face melted off and fell to the floor in a red stew. His bones and skin all mixed together and slid out of his clothes, to the door.

Lili watched in horror as it slid underneath the door. She followed, opening the door and watching it slide straight down the hall. There were two other blobs that were sliding down from the 'T' intersection. The three blobs conjoined and mixed together and started to build up.

Lili held the pipe like a bat, but slowly dropped it when she realized that it wouldn't help her now. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the monster. The lights started to flicker more and eventually, all the lights went off. Then silence.

The exit light flickered but then turned off. Lili knew that in a second, something bad and horrific was going to happen. And she was right.

The lights suddenly blinded everyone when the monster roared. It was like a giant, slimy spider.

It roared in Nancy's direction and Lili knew that it was going to come for her.

"Nancy!" Jonathan yelled at her. She turned and started to run.

"Jonathan, don't be an idiot!" Lili yelled at him. Lili ran up to the monster and pulsed it away, making it slam onto the wall next to it.

She ran over to Nancy who was having trouble getting the door open. Lili pulsed it and it flew open, allowing the two to run. She grabbed Nancy's hand and yanked her along. They needed to get out of the building and warn the kids.

"Hey!" Nancy yelled at Lili. She yanked their conjoined hands and pulled Lili into an empty room.

"No!" Lili yelled at Nancy when she locked the door. "It can slide underneath!"

"Well, what better plan do you have?" Nancy asked.

"To run away!" Lili raged. The banging at the door stopped the argument.

"Shit," Nancy gasped. The monster stopped banging on the door and then the slime started to seep from under the door and through the vent.

"Oh my god," Nancy cried.

"Would running seem like a good idea now?!" Lili yelled at Nancy.

"Shit, Lili, shut up!" Nancy seethed. "Pulse it!"

"I- I can't! It's not one body!" Lili said. It's true, she couldn't pulse something that was constantly changing like water or soup.

"Jonathan," Nancy whimpered. Lili rolled her eyes.

"No! Nancy!" Jonathan cried. I'm here too, Lili wanted to shout.

"Jonathan," Nancy called again. "Lili!"

"I can't do anything until it morphs back into the monster!" Lili stuttered.

"Shit!" Nancy watched as the monster built. Jonathan was banging on the door, trying to get it down.

"Lili! Now!" Nancy screamed at the girl when the monster morphed back into the slimy spider. She didn't need to be told twice as she shot her hand out and pulsed the monster away. It hit the door and stayed there.

"Get it away from the door!" Nancy cried.

"I'm trying my best!" Lili yelled. The monster moved under Lili's control and she felt him slip through her grasp. It hopped down from the wall and started to charge for the two. Lili caught it and suspended it up in the air. She tried to contain it, but the monster was quicker.

It realized that she could only control it in a solid form. It started to dematerialize which made Lili lose it. The monster hit Nancy back and she fell onto the ground. Lili ran up to her and tried to put a barrier around them, but the monster broke through.

Lili hovered her body above Nancy's to protect her. Her back was to Nancy as she faced the monster head-on. Lili gritted her teeth as she tried to gain control again, but then closed her eyes when the monster came too close.

It roared in her face, bursting Lili's eardrums. Her screams mixed with Nancy's and they didn't hear the door being busted open.

The monster pulled back to look at who showed up, but it didn't get one roar as El shot her arm out and lifted it up in the air. She slammed it on both walls and the floor and ceiling before throwing it against the back wall and making it fall onto the ground outside.

"Nancy!" Jonathan called for her. He shoved Lili off of her and grabbed her face in his hands. "Are you okay? Are you okay?"

"For the love of God, let's go!" Lili shoved Jonathan in turn and yanked him away from Nancy. She grabbed their arms and made them run out of the hospital.

Everyone was watching as the monster turned into liquid and it went down the drain, leaving bones that couldn't fit.

"Well, that was gross," Lili scrunched her nose. Nancy turned to her abruptly.

"Thank you!" She cried, grabbing Lili and squeezing her in a tight hug. "Thank you so much!"

"It's no problem," Lili patted her back. Nancy detached herself from Lili and Lili turned to look at El.

"Thanks," she smiled at her sister.

"No problem," El responded.

***

"Thanks for letting us all stay the night," Nancy said to Lili as she finished her bowl of cereal.

"It's no problem, I wasn't about to let all the kids run loose," Lili smiled. She rubbed her tired eyes. It was weird, she has done these late night fights before but she felt extremely tired. More tired in fact that last year or the year before that.

Lili got up from her seat to go over to the bathroom.

"Seriously, Lili? This is, like, your fifth time using the bathroom," Lucas said. Max hit him on the chest but Lili just gave him a small smile.

"I've been drinking more water," Lili said. Lie, she thought. What's wrong with me?

Lili walked past El's room. The door opened quickly and El peered out and caught Lili's eye.

"Do you have a picture of Billy?" She asked. Lili nodded.

"Of course," she smirked. She walked into her room and pulled out a picture of Billy when he first got the lifeguard job. It was a candid photo of him and he was standing up to yell at a kid. Lili smiled softly at the photo.

El snatched it with a 'thanks' and slammed the door to her room. Lili blinked before making her way to the bathroom.

When she was done with the bathroom, she washed her hands and dried them. She turned and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked awful. Her hair was still wet after her shower, her eyes were sunken and dark. Her skin was pale and sickly. The sight of herself made her want to vomit.

Suddenly, the acidic feeling of bile in her throat rose up. She tried to compress it by gagging, but that only made it worse. Lili's head went down and into the sink as she spilled her guts. She coughed and heaved, wanting to throw up again. She washed the bile down the drain with water.

What the hell was wrong with her? She quickly left the bathroom and walked quickly over to her room.

"Lili? What's wro-?" Nancy started to ask by she shut the door to her room and took large strides over to her calendar. Circled in red was June 23rd. It was July 4.

Shit, she thought. I'm fucking screwed.
