"There's no one like you." Billy's hands seemed to be at a different place on Lili's body with every electric guitar riff.
"I can't wait for the nights with you." The couple engaged in passionate kisses and embraces as if it were the last time they would.
"I imagine the things we'll do." Billy looks forward everyday to seeing Lili. It's the month of June, the first, to be exact. Billy had an interview tomorrow to be a lifeguard. He hasn't told Lili yet since she works there as well. He doesn't know how she'll react but he hates the glances that the lowlife, Cory Walichs, gives her.
"I just want to be loved by you." Lili's favorite part of the day was always Billy. He'd pick her up from work and drive her to a new place every night. They'd make out in the back of his car and if Billy was lucky, she'd invite him for more. They were both eighteen, legally adults, so there was no harm in it. Not that there was when they did it in high school.
"No one like you!" The song ended and a new one began, but Lili had other things on her mind than to stay here with Billy.
"Billy." Lili tapped Billy's shoulder to get his attention. "Billy." She repeated herself.
"What?" He mumbled his words into her neck with a slight annoyance.
"I have to go," she told him. He stopped moving and he seemed to contemplate the importance of what Lili had to do tonight.
"No." Billy went back to pressing heated kisses to her neck.
"Yes. I have to meet Robin and Sue-" Lili was cut off with a loud groan.
"I don't wanna let you go," Billy pouted. Lili only gave him a small smile as she pecked a kiss to his puckered lips.
"You're going to have to," Lili said. "If you want to get to that interview tomorrow."
Billy's wide eyes settled on Lili with a slight fear in them. "How did you know about that?"
"You really thought I wouldn't find out?" Lili laughed. "You know Cory tells me everything, right?"
Billy made an unpleasant noise and pinched the bridge of his nose. "God I hate him."
"Why?" Lili catechized.
"'Cause he thinks that you're single." Billy huffed out an irritated sigh.
"I've told him many times that I'm with you-"
"But he doesn't get that through his thick skull," Billy shook his head. "That's partially the reason why I applied."
It was Lili's turn to groan. "Billy, you can't keep on trying to hover over me everywhere I go. That's how I got fired from the arcade. The arcade. Keith doesn't give a damn if I drank on the job but you made him so pissed off that he had to fire me."
"I didn't like the way he looked at you!" Billy defended.
"You don't like the way anyone looks at me," Lili pointed out.
"That's not true," Billy argued. "Your friends look at you fine."
"Robin's a lesbian," Lili said. She wanted to see if that would change his mind.
"She's gay?" Billy raised his eyebrows. "Damn, before you, I kinda dug her."
"Ew," Lili scrunched her nose in disgust.
"But that's different," Billy switched back to the point. "You're not gay."
"Or am I?" Lili teased. "And I'm just using you as a cover before I actually come out?"
"Stop it," he snapped playfully. "The way you put out begs to differ."
"Shut up," Lili blushed. "Besides, I only put out because I'm a sex junkie."
"No you're not," Billy laughed.
"Yeah, you're right. You're the sex junkie," Lili said with a grin on her face.
"I'm not even gonna try to argue," Billy shook his head as he grabbed the back of Lili's head and locked his lips with hers.

"Sue," Lili sighed as she ran across the mall and to the Chinese restaurant in the middle of Stacourt Mall.
"Wow. Thirty minutes late," Sue feigned excitement. "That's a new record. Whaddya say Lili? Wanna make it to forty?"
"I'm sorry, it's... Billy and I were-"
"Fucking in the back of his car?" Sue asked from behind the buffet-style counter. An elderly Chinese woman with her gray hair in a bun spun around. She hit Sue in the back and started yelling at her in Mandarin.
"Aye! Ama!" Sue complained as she rubbed the back of her head. "I was just joking!"
Sue's grandmother, or as Lili learned, Ama, just ignored Sue's excuse and kept yelling. After a long and loud lecture in Mandarin, Ama looked at Sue in distaste. Lili accidentally let out an irritated sigh.
"Straight your back," Ama scolded Lili. "Does nothing for your breasts."
Lili immediately straightened her shoulders and erected her back higher. Ama just nodded. "That's a lot better. You will have back problems when you are older. You do not want them now."
"Ama, she gets it," Sue rolled her eyes as she took off her blue latex gloves. She rounded the counter and stood next to Lili. Sue reached up to take out the bobby-pins that held her hair net to her head.
"When Ama was your age," Ama spoke in the third person. "I used to be beat with a stick by my Ama. Do you want to be beat with a stick?"
"No, ma'am," Lili shook her head.
"Good," Ama nodded once and turned back to the wok on the stove. Sue and Lili slowly inched away from the Chinese buffet, afraid that Ama would turn around and lecture them again. Once it was all clear, the pair made a break for it to Scoops Ahoy! Robin was working there now, and to her dismay, so was Steve.
That's right, Steve 'The Hair' Harrington was working at an ice cream parlor. If you must know, Steve didn't get into any of the schools he applied to and so, to teach him a lesson, his father cut him off and made him work a minimum wage job.
"Ahoy!" Lili yelled when she and Sue walked into the tiny parlor. The small window that divides the staff room from the actual ice cream-scooping area opened to reveal an exhausted Robin.
"Thank fucking god," Robin groaned. "I just about died." Robin hopped up on the sill and swung her legs around to hop down.
"Was Steve being whine-y?" Lili asked.
"Aw, he's cute when he whines," Sue sighed and looked off into the distance with a dream-like smile.
"Ew," Robin gagged.
"Disgusting," Lili said with deep abhorrence.
"You guys don't even know what he's been through!" Sue argued.
"What? I feel so bad that he had to be rich and have all the girls swoon for him!" Robin said sarcastically.
"Hopper!" An excited voice sounded front he door opening from the staff room.
"Harrington!" Lili smiled. "This is getting a little old."
"Yeah, but you're basically my only friend," Steve shrugged as he stood next to Robin.
"Besides those children?" Robin teased.
"Hey!" Both Lili And Steve said in unison.
"My children," Steve pointed his ice cream scooper to Robin's face. "Are precious."
"That they are," Lili nodded. Robin rolled her eyes. She still couldn't wrap her head around how two legal adults could be friends with literal fourteen year-olds. Therefore, she made sure to comment on it whenever the opportunity presented itself.
"I'm assuming you two aren't here just to discuss custody with Father Steve, here, are you?" Robin asked.
"Seriously? Why else would we come here?" Sue rolled her eyes.
"Yeah," Lili drawled. "Why else?" Sue elbowed Lili in the side, telling her to shut up.
"I can't believe you forgot," Lili said to Robin. "We talked about this, like, two days ago."
Robin looked at Sue and Lili in confusion. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"A View To A Kill!" Lili groaned. "You promised you could sneak us in!"
"Oh, really?" Steve asked with feigned inquiry.
"Shut up, Harrington," Robin snapped. "I was probably high off my rocker."
"No you weren't," Sue piped up. "You promised."
"Fine!" Robin yelled, causing the three people in the ice cream parlor to turn their heads. Robin glanced around the room before settling on the two girls in front of her. "Come with me."
Sue and Lili giggled as they made their way through the staff room and down the gray hallway.
"Y'know, it's real cold that you guys are going without me," Robin pouted from her spot at the door.
Sue and Lili turned around and Sue blew Robin a kiss.
"If you remembered, you wouldn't have to stay behind," Lili quirked an eyebrow. Robin stuck her tongue out and left, closing the door behind her.

"Okay, a little lighter, Heather." Lili sighed from exhaustion as she swiped her hand across her hairline to catch the beads of sweat. She held a clipboard against her swimsuit-clad torso as she examined a new lifeguard's skill.
Heather nodded and got out of the pool. She jumped off and into the water, closing her legs as she fell into the water. This made her head stay above water. This was vital if you needed to watch the victim in the pool.
Lili checked off the 'box jump' from the checklist that Cory handed her to get done with Heather.
"That's good," Lili nodded as she ripped the piece of paper from the clipboard. She handed the paper to a soaked Heather. "Give this transcript to Cory and he'll give you your schedule."
"Thanks, babe." Heather caught her breath and left take the pool house.
"Alright!" Cory shouted from beside Lili. "Hargrove, you're up!"
Lili watched in amusement as Billy got up and towered over Cory. Cory visibly gulped and started to tell Billy to do two laps. Billy dove into the water gracefully and glided through the water with ease.
Billy's hair lay flat against his head as he got out of the pool, waiting for the next task.
"Can you do butterfly stroke?" Cory asked.
"No," Billy shook his head. Cory tsked and made a line through an invisible item on his clipboard.
"Cory," Lili hummed. "I don't remember seeing that as a requirement."
"Well we need our lifeguards in tip-top shape," Cory said. Billy grew more and more impatient through the interaction. How dare Cory speak to Lili? How dare he even glance at her?
"I don't know how to do the butterfly stroke..." Lili purposely made her voice drop. "Do you think I'm a good lifeguard?"
"Of course," Cory stuttered.
"Then why does Billy have to do it?" Lili asked as if she were five. In reality, she loved watching Cory fumble over his words.
"I-I mean... he should- I guess, uh," Cory coughed. "I guess he doesn't have to."
"It's no problem, man," Billy said, catching onto what Lili was playing at.
"Oh, hey, hey," Cory held his hand up. "Seriously, you don't have to."
"Did he pass?" Lili asked innocently.
"Um, if you think he did," Cory shrugged.
"I think so," Lili subtly winked at Billy and he gave her a huge grin.
"Alright..." Cory mumbled on about papers and schedules, but Billy's mind was clouded by the thoughts of Lili. How did he get so lucky to have a girlfriend like her? Seeing her flirting with Cory, even though it was fake, sent him Billy into a frenzy. All he wanted to do was grab her and lock her into the storage closet with him.
"Billy," Lili chirped. Billy snapped out of his thoughts and looked at Cory and Lili.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"You start tomorrow," Cory slapped a piece of paper into Billy's hands. He read it and smirked. He gets to man the chair with Lili.
After Cory left, Billy grabbed Lili and dragged her into the storage closet. Lili didn't waste anytime as she grabbed his head and brought her lips to his.
This summer is gonna be fun, Lili thought.
