chapter six

CHANGING ROOMS ━━

IT HAD GONE DARK BY THE TIME MOST STUDENTS HAD ALREADY left and gone home, Ethan was stumbling into the room as some accidentally pushed past him. There weren't many who still needed to get changed and head home, Miguel, Anthony and Robby remained if you excluded Ethan but that was it. Ethan didn't know if he liked this concept, he was okay with it but it still made his stomach turn knowing they could visibly see his body.

He had never been the biggest fan of his own body, especially right now. He knew the bruises coated all over his waist, especially on his inner thighs and he hated that they painted his skin for so long. Ethan took a spot more in the corner, away from the others. He turned his back to their faces and threw off his shirt.

Anthony on the other hand was feeling icky in his skin for other reasons. He had always been a chubby kid growing up so he barely saw his body as anything different than chubby now. It felt so weird because in his eyes he would always have a bit too much chub, too much fat on his skin whilst other people dreamed to have his physique. It was a never ending cycle, people dreaming of other people's body whilst other people dreamt of theirs.

Anthony his gaze once again fell on Ethan, he couldn't understand why it kept falling on Ethan everywhere he went. It was frustrating himself because he couldn't stop it, his eyes subconsciously followed the boy, admired the boy.

He looked at the boy his body, carefully gazing over the countless bruises on spaces it wouldn't be even after a fight. His heart sank, he felt uncomfortable looking at the fingerprints deeply bruised into Ethan his thighs. Could that be the reason he joined karate? Anthony wondered, but he decided not to look any longer due the discomfort in his stomach. He decided it was not his place to question those matters because he didn't know Ethan.

For all he knew it was a weird kink Ethan had with his boyfriend, or girlfriend. Anthony thought it was logical Ethan had a boyfriend, he seemed like a guy Anthony would date. Not that he was gay of course! Ethan just happened to be his exact type.

After they got changed into regular clothes they headed out. Giving quick waves to each other. Ethan hopped into the car, his back was turned to Anthony so he didn't notice the very obvious staring but Miguel and Robby did.

"You know it's kind of obvious that you're staring if you do it every second he looks away." Robby pointed out, his eyebrows were raised as if he was surprised that out of everyone he found Anthony staring at the new kid. Miguel his head snapped upwards at this, it had came to his attention aswel that Anthony stared at Ethan longer than most students. As if he was admiring him.

Anthony felt his cheeks flush, he coughed a bit and looked away for a split second. "I was just looking, that's all." He replied in a mutter. Truth be told he never understood why he always kept staring at Ethan so ridiculously long, as if his eyes didn't want to look at anyone other than him. It frustrated him, everything he did suddenly made him think of Ethan and his silly little smile.

Miguel and Robby shared a look, as if saying they both knew this was odd behaviour for Anthony. Which was rare because Anthony had always been a little odd to them.

"I'm not staring at Ethan! He's new, it's normal to look at new people!" Anthony argued though his argument barely made any sense. He knew he kept staring at Ethan, he couldn't understand why he kept doing it. It was like an obsession, he just couldn't help but stare at him.

"Right.. okay Anthony, if you say so." Robby responded, his hand gripping his training bag over his shoulders. "Just a heads up, if you ever do start dating Ethan try not to get even more distracted." He teased which caused the youngest LaRusso to glare at them in annoyance. Anthony couldn't be gay, that was weird. He did feel a gentle blush on his cheeks when he had eye contact with Ethan but he wasn't gay.

Anthony scowled, "I'm not distracted at training!" He argued stubbornly which only made the two older students laugh. They had all been there, crushing on someone in their very own dojo and being very bad at denying it.

"Whatever, you guys are weird." Anthony huffed out in annoyance, clutching his bag. He felt weird that anyone would ever suggest him being gay, that was wrong. Being gay was wrong. Right?
