WORD COUNT | 1806
His arms swayed side by side leisurely as he walked. He breathed in the fresh air of the countryside, basking in its morning dew. The wind blew over the field of poppies before him, each flower brushed back in harmony. Kneeling down until he could reach the stem with ease, he plucked one out of the field and placed it within his basket followed by several others. The scarlet red of the petals drew him in, becoming his favourite flower easily. Although the path he took was longer than necessary, he enjoyed the view of the sea of red and would willingly walk a few extra miles just to witness this calming atmosphere.
A small smile formed on his lips as he tipped his head down slightly allowing his green locks to cover his vision slightly, eyes focused on the mewing kitten found on the side of the path.
Poor thing he thought to himself before picking up the precious creature and placing it comfortably in his basket.
Once a month, Midoriya was permitted to visit his mother as well as be given the freedom to wander the country although usually he stays within the welcoming area of his hometown. Today was his very treasured break day.
Humming slightly to a lullaby, he reached the town not before long as he tapped lightly on his front door. He heard a light shuffle and footsteps that approached the entrance hurriedly. The door whipped wide open within seconds as his lungs were squeezed with an immeasurable amount of affection showered from his mother's hug.
"Izuku! You're even earlier than usual!" She shouted in joy as she ruffled her son's hair gently.
"Well uh...I missed your voice... and your cooking... and you..." the shy son trailed off, an embarrassed look appeared on his face as his mother's gaze met his. He was a mother's boy.
"Aw, I missed you too!" She responded before ushering him inside and closing the door behind him.
The entirety of the day went by with the mother and son spending quality time together. Laughs and chatters filled the air comfortably as Midoriya thought to himself there was no place like home. He really did miss his mother over the past month.
Working in the palace wasn't horrendous, but the young boy was often left alone after his working hours as he curled up in his small bed by himself. Sure enough, he had a few close friends who worked besides him, but there was no one who showered him with affection as much as his mother did. The thought of the next time seeing his mother was due in a month made his will of leave reluctantly, but the boy pushed onwards nonetheless at what needs to be done.
"Mom, I'll have to leave now." He said begrudgingly before a long sigh breathed out.
"Oh sweetie, make sure to not overwork yourself!" She walked up towards the door where the green haired boy put his shoes on slowly. "Take care, remember to eat three meals a day and take your suppressants. Don't cause too much trouble and feel free to come back whenever. You're always welcome here." Before his mother could say any more, Midoriya put his hand up before enveloping his mother in a tight hug.
"I know. See you in a bit." He chuckled sadly as he walked out the door, his mother looked at his son's back figure which grew smaller and smaller as he walked on. A pang of sadness hit her heart as she thought 'a bit' more like a month. She too chuckled sadly as she closed the door, already missing the presence of her son.
The pathway Midoriya walked on was still lit clearly as he made sure to leave on time so as to not have to walk dangerously in the dark. After exiting his home town, he took the route of travelling through another nearby village as a shortcut before he heard a loud commotion in the town centre.
"Have you seen him? He's about this height, with bright blue eyes." A desperate voice stood out amidst the crowd. Pushing his way through the crowd, Midoriya's eyes landed on a small fragile old lady who used hand gestures as she spoke. Her voice came out cracked as though she had been crying for hours. Faces upon faces of dismay faced her as people shook their heads causing a look of disappointment to befall her facial features.
Nudging gently on the elbow of the man stood besides him, the young boy whispered, asking him if he knew the details of what happened.
"She's looking for her missing cat. I'd say it's a lost cause, with the increase in stray foxes and wolves. It's probably..." the man finished off with a shrug of his shoulder, implying it's possible death.
A cat? Midoriya thought to himself before a soft meow sounded from his basket.
The kitten! He exclaimed mentally in his head before he stumbled in front of the depressed woman. "Did you mean him?" He asked whilst lifting the lid of the basket, revealing its soft fur and ocean eyes.
"Yes! Yes! Tsukki where have you been?!" She whispered gently to her kitten before stroking its back fondly.
"He was at the edge of a pretty closed off path. He must've been wandering around for a while." The tealed eyed boy explained before giving the woman a comforting smile.
"Young boy, I must repay you!" She hushed as looked intently within his emerald pupils.
"No no, it's fine! I'm just glad it's back with its owner!" Midoriya rejected as he put his hands up in panic.
"I insist! At least let me treat you to a meal." The old lady spoke in a firm tone before rushing in a nearby restaurant leaving the travelling boy no choice but to follow.
Patting his stomach lightly, Midoriya breathed a satisfied hum as he giggled softly. That was a filling meal. Thanking the elderly woman enthusiastically who responded with even more gratitude, he exited the warm setting to find himself face to face with the moonlit sky.
Oh no. He thought to himself, he was in deep trouble. On top of having to having to rush to make it back in time before curfew, he had to face the danger of walking in such a dark environment. Increasing his walking pace greatly, the boy hurriedly rushed through the terrifying pathway, unable to even view what's hidden within the woods.
Half an hour of intense walking passed, leaving the young boy drained of energy as he stopped for a quick break. Reaching to his belt, he grabbed hold of his water bottle before tilting his head back to take a full swig. However before the liquid reached his lips, he was tackled rather abruptly by a heavier figure.
"What's a cute little omega doing in these woods all by himself - especially at this time." The assaulting Male whispered the last phrase as he gripped on Midoriya's wrists harshly.
"L-let me go." The smaller boy struggled against the weight leaning down him, attempting to scream before a calloused hand clamped over his mouth almost immediately.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you." He chuckled mercilessly as his hand travelled beneath the weaker boy's shirt, and stroked his slim waist lustfully. A soft whimpering could be heard from underneath the hand that clamped over his mouth as tears threatened to spill. As the other hand of the stranger snaked downwards, its location nearing the belt which was undone rather quickly. His fingers grazed the edges of the waist band of his boxers dangerously.
Midoriya closed his eyes in defeat, he was stranded and utterly powerless against this looming figure.
To his surprise, the sound of a foreign object travelling through the air at high speed echoed through his ears as a shriek was followed shortly after it. At this, the weight leaning on the smaller boy slumped sideways along with the retracted hands from his mouth and crotch area. Opening his eyes slowly, he focused on the arrow that was now lodged firmly in the perpetrator's arms as he shrieked loudly at the pain. However his focus quickly shifted to the figure of a boy standing over the man. His blond hair spiky, as well as his ruby red cape that surrounded him.
"Tch. You got in the way of my hunting, dumbfuck." He spoke with disgust as he stepped on the chest of the older man roughly. His gaze tore away from the seemingly pathetic human towards the powerless and vulnerable figure of the greenette. "What the fuck-" he exclaimed out loud as his eyes darted from the man to the young boy lying on the ground before he finally grasped the situation.
At this he kicked the side of the man's body with an overpowering impact which sent him colliding with the tree trunk behind him harshly. "Men like you..." he spoke with anger laced in his voice as he gripped the collar of the disheveled man's shirt, "...are scum." He finished his sentence with an unforgiving punch straight to his face. Blood and broken teeth was visible as the red liquid flowed from his nose nonstop. The agitated blond raised his fist once more, preparing to deal another blow before the timid voice of the victim was heard.
"No, stop!" He shouted nervously, raising a hand to the blond's direction. "I...I can't stand this." He whispered, his fingers already trembling. Being the weaker of the three secondary genders, omegas couldn't tolerate the presence of violence as capable as the other two genders could. And Midoriya being an especially timid omega was definitely quaked to the sound of fists against skin.
"What the fuck do mean 'stop'? I'm not doing this for you! I hate degenerates like him!" His voice boomed in contrast to the protesting boy before slamming his fist straight into the pervert's already damaged nose. A small wail could be heard from the direction of the curly haired teen as he backed away slowly, fumbling over his two feet and barely able to walk from the shock of the string of events that just happened.
Sighing frustratedly, the impulsive teen stopped his mindless beating and walked towards the direction of the omega before swiftly picking him up and placing him on his shoulder.
"Ow! Wha-"
"You can barely walk, I don't need another assault to happen." The alpha mumbled under his breath annoyedly, cutting the protests of the small teen short.
"B-but! I need to go to the palace!" Midoriya thrashed despite his retaliations being useless.
"Oh? What a coincidence." The prince smirked, "looks like we're heading home."
