GUYSSSSS!!! ZEUS AND POSEIDON HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED! Rick posted :D

I'll start off with the amazhang updates omg pls don't skip them because I swear you will be so happy to read them:

- They are just a few days over schedule, but that isn't much. They're almost done with principle photography for all 8 episodes, which is super exciting. They're currently doing pick-up scenes to fill in different angles and expand some of the sequences.

-  They have full director's cuts for eps 1-6, and have already begun with 7-8! Rick said he's confident we'll love the show if we're fans of the books and oh my gods my heart is so relieved to hear that lmao

- They quote, "still have months and months of post-production work to do, but the team is wrapping up in Vancouver." months makes me think that maybe... maaayyyybeee.... we don't have to give up hope for late 2023? maayyyybe?

- Rick said he got to do behind the scenes interviews with our trio already, but they likely won't be public for a while (unfortunately). He's super proud of them and how they've grown, just as fans are

- THIS IS THE LAST CASTING ANNOUNCEMENT WE WILL GET FOR SEASON 1!!!!! all other characters will not get an individual announcement, so we're just going to have to wait for side characters. 

- Notice how above, he said "for season 1". He followed with, "More later, demigods, but I am pleased to tell you we are in a very good place as we look ahead to a (not-yet-greenlit-but-fully-anticipated) season two!"

NOW, FOR THE CASTING:

Lance Reddick is our Zeus

He's a super experienced actor, but I haven't seen any of his work. Have you?

Toby Stephens as Poseidon

I also haven't seen much of Toby, but based on what I can tell at the moment from google searches and other press photos of him (plus Rick's affirmation), I'm confident he's good for the role. Just keep in mind that the photos you see will not necessarily align with how he looks right now because of hair and makeup, clothing, and when the other photos were taken. Have faith, people!

Lastly, we got a photo of Walker with both of them.

I'm so grateful for all the brilliant cast & crew who are part of this show because OH MY GODS THIS IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!!!!!
