As Genesis Molina walked down the hall, looking for her little sister Julie, Carrie Wilson, their frenemy, walked up to her.
"Hi, Genesis! You look... cute." Carrie said as she looked her up and down. "Um, so come see Dirty Candi. We are performing at the spirit rally tomorrow." Carrie pushed a flyer towards Genesis.
"Thanks, I guess?" Genesis said in confusion.
The girl then walked away from Genesis, going to talk to more people.
Genesis threw the flyer away before walking over to Julie as she was digging throughout locker.
"I'm actually kinda bummed our lockers aren't next to each other." Genesis leaned against a locker.
"I know right. But hey, your lockers next to James, right? Isn't he your crush?" Julie asked the girl.
"Jules, shush." Genesis pushed the girl, while hiding her blush.
"Hey, underachievers." Flynn, the girls best friend walked up to them.
Julie and Genesis both looked at each other and smiled.
"Hey, disappointment." The girls said in unison.
"It still surprises me to this day that you guys do that." Flynn said.
"Do what?" They said again.
"Okay, seriously, stop that." Flynn said causing the girls to laugh.
"We're sisters. It's sister telepathy, Flynn. We got it going on." Genesis chuckled.
"You know, for sisters, y'all don't look alike." Flynn said.
"Flynn, you know that she's older than me by 9 months. We keep telling you this." Julie laughed.
"Okay, i know that was a little off topic and that this not what y'all wanna hear but have you guys figured out what your gonna do today?" Flynn asked.
"We'll know in the moment." Julie shrugged her shoulders.
"Really, Jules? That's all your giving me?Mrs. Harrison said this is your last chance." Flynn said.
"We know, Flynn. We were there." Genesis ran a hand through her hair.
"See you at the rally." The girls looked over and saw Carrie handing out more papers.
"Ugh. What is she handing out?" Flynn groaned.
"Desperation?" Julie replied.
"Mm. That's one way to put it." Genesis said, as Carrie walked over to them.
"Here you go. My groups performing at the spirit rally tomorrow. I'm sure you guys have nothing better to do." Carrie said as she handed Julie and Flynn a flyer.
"Oh my gosh, Carrie. Thanks." Flynn sarcastically said.
"Oh my gosh, Flynn. Don't bother coming!" Carrie walked away from the girls.
Flynn then crumpled up the flyer.
Genesis looked at Julie and then looked over at Nick.
"Nick?" Genesis and Flynn said in unison.
"Still? You know they are gonna get married and have a bunch of unholy babies." Flynn said.
"Nick's a sweetheart." Julie defended her crush.
"Yeah, you'd actually have to talk to him to know that." Flynn said, Genesis agreeing.
"Hey, Molina." Genesis looked over and saw James walking by them.
"H-hey, uh James." Genesis stuttered as he smiled and walked away.
"James?" Flynn whisper shouted.
Genesis then nodded while watching him walk away.
"Anyways. Jules, one of them has to be a demon to make a demon baby." Flynn said, catching Genesis' attention.
"Demon!" Flynn yelled causing Carrie to look over at them as they quickly turned around, laughing.
"There's those smiles. Now, let's go prove everybody wrong." Flynn said, as Julie closed her locker, and the three making their way to class.

Genesis sat next to Julie as they watch Nick play his guitar.
After he finished, everyone started clapping.
"Nice job, Nick. Almost as impressive as your game against Glendale." Mrs. Harrison said to Nick causing everyone to chuckle.
"Okay, we have one last performance." Mrs. Harrison clapped her hands together. "Julie, Genesis?"
The girls both looked up.
They both stood up and Julie took off her hat. The girls made their way to the piano.
Genesis then sat on the piano chair, Julie sitting next to her.
Genesis looked at Mrs. Harrison.
"Take your time."
Genesis then opened the lid to the piano.
She rest her fingers on the piano.
She then pulled her fingers away.
She looked at Julie as Julie sighed.
They couldn't do it.
Flynn then stood up.
The girls eventually stood up and looked at Mrs. Harrison.
"I'm sorry." Julie said.
"Is this when we clap?" Carrie asked.
Julie and Genesis then left the classroom.
"Watch it, Carrie." Flynn said.
They ran to the stairwell as Flynn was right on their tail.
"Julie! Genesis! Girl, you better get back up here.. and you show them y'all can sing!" Flynn said to both girls who were in tears.
"Flynn, you don't get it. We've tried for ourselves. We've tried for Mrs. Harrison, we've tried for you, we've tried for Dad, and we've tried for Mom." Genesis cried.
"For a whole year, we've been trying. But we can't do this anymore.. We can't.. We're done.." Julie told the girl who was staring down at the girls, Genesis agreeing with Julie.
They then turned around and made their way down the stairs.
"Julie! Genesis!" Flynn called out to the two, but they already left out the doors.

Julie took off her glasses and sighed.
"Homework trouble?" Genesis asked.
"Yeah." Julie said as Genesis went to help her.
"Oh, good. Your home." Their dad said as he came down the stairs. "I was about to go watch your brothers game. I've had photo shoots all day. Didn't even get a chance to eat."
Genesis closed her notebook and put her glasses back on.
"But, I got a phone call today." Ray said to the two causing them to look at each other and then sigh.
"Yeah, we figured as much." Julie said taking off her glasses.
"Yeah. Well, it was my realtor friend." Ray said, sitting in front of the girls.
"Oh, that." The girls looked at Ray.
"Yeah, and she says if we're serious about selling the house, then she wants me to take some pictures for the website. Which means we'll have to do a lot of cleaning and get rid of some stuff. And maybe you guys can.. tackle Mom's studio?" Ray asked them.
Genesis sighed.
"You're the expert. You know your brother and I wouldn't even know where to begin. It's okay, honey. If your not ready, I-"
"No. It's all right. Maybe we'll try tonight." Julie said putting her hand on Genesis', who was quiet.
"Yeah?" Ray clapped his hands together. "Awesome, mija. Thank you. Oh and don't forget the loft." He pointed at the girls. "You know those old instruments that were there when we moved in?"
Both girls nodded.
"They need a new home." Ray said before getting up.
"Mom would like that." Genesis said, breaking her silence.
"Yeah, she would. Oh, god. I'm gonna be late." Ray looked around for his keys.
"Under the mail." The girls said in unison and pointed to where they were.
"You're a lifesaver. Bye, girls." Ray said before leaving.
"Bye." Both girls said.

Genesis was first to walk down the stairs.
"It's been over a year since we've been in here." Genesis said as she stood in front of the studio.
"Yeah. It's crazy." Julie replied.
The girls made their way to the doors and opened them.
Genesis was first to walk in.
Julie walked toward the light switch and flipped it, the lights turning on.
"I never knew why those chairs were hanging on the ceiling." Genesis said out loud as she looked up.
"Yeah, me either."
Genesis made her way to the piano, pulling the white cover off.
She walked around it and moved the papers that were on the bench.
She sat down and sighed, Julie sitting next to her.
"I'm so sorry, Mom. That we haven't been here." Julie looked up.
The girls stood up and went over to the loft.
"Should I go up there?" Genesis asked the girl.
"Yeah."
Genesis made her way to the ladder leading up to the loft and climbed up, her rings making small noises as she grabbed each step.
She made her way up and looked around.
"Do you see anything up there?" Julie asked.
"I see a guitar case, a keyboard and some drum sticks." Genesis looked at the three.
"A keyboard like a typing one or a music one?"
"A music one, Jules." Genesis giggled.
She kept looking around and then she looked down and saw a CD case with the words "Sunset Curve" on it.
"Hey, Julie. I found something." Genesis picked it up.
"Come down here. Let me see it."
"Okay." Genesis came down and showed her.
Genesis then went to the CD player and took the disk out of the case and put it in and pressed play. She put the case on top of the player.
They sat down on the couch.
The song started to play.
"ONE! TWO! THREE! Take off, last stop! Count down till we blast open the top! Face first, full charge-"
The girls were nodding their heads to it and then heard screaming and covered their ears.
Then three guys fell on the carpet and screamed in pain.
The girls stood up in shock.
"Whoa!"
"Whoa! How did we get back here?" One of the boys said.
Both of the girls started screaming, causing the boys to scream.
Julie was pointing at them and then at Genesis before running out.
"Don't leave me here! J-Julie!" Genesis ran out after Julie.
"Dad!" Julie yelled after seeing Ray.
"Whoa! Hey!" Ray caught the girls. "Whoa, slow down. You look like you've seen a ghost."
"We have!" Genesis yelled.
"Cool." Carlos, their little brother, said.
"Not cool!" The girls ran to the front door.
"Run!" Julie yelled.
Julie ran upstairs screaming.
"Jules!" Genesis ran after her as they made their way into their shared bedroom.
Julie hid behind Genesis' love seat.
"Julie, what are you doing?" Genesis whispered as Julie pulled her by her arm and she fell beside her.
"Ouch!"
Julie then pulled out her phone and texted Flynn.
"Come on, Flynn. 911 means 911! Why aren't you answering me?" Julie whisper shouted.
"Hey."
Both girls screamed.
"Dad." Julie sighed as she stood up.
Genesis stood up as well.
"Sorry. Just wanted to make sure you guys were okay." Ray walked up to the girls.
"You don't believe us, do you?" Julie asked.
"Honey, of course I do. Mija, I see your mom all the time."
"This isn't like that." Julie sighed.
"I know. It's different for all of us." Ray shrugged his shoulders.
"Dad, your not listening to us. We saw something out there." Genesis pointed to the window.
"Alright. Okay. Okay. I'm listening. Tell me what you saw. It's just you and me here." Ray sat down in the chair.
"You sound just like Dr. Turner." Genesis crossed her arms.
"Well, maybe seeing Dr. Turner again isn't such a bad idea." Ray suggested.
"Dad!" Genesis sighed.
"Can we just drop it?" Julie asked.
"Alright. Dropped." Ray held his finger out. "We good?"
"Yeah."
Julie held out her finger and so did Genesis.
They all crossed their fingers, shaking them.
Ray snapped his fingers and left the room.
Julie looked back out the window.
Genesis looking as well.
"Genny, get your cross." Julie said.
"Okay." Genesis went through her drawer and grabbed her cross.
Genesis grabbed her phone just in case.
Julie grabbed her cross as she grabbed Genesis by the arm as they left the room. They made their way downstairs and left the house.
Genesis opened the hatch and the girls walked through the door.
They then opened and walked through studio doors and started looking around.
"Are you still here?" Julie asked.
"Whatever you are." Genesis replied.
"I know we saw something. We're not crazy." Julie looked at Genesis.
"Well, we're all a little crazy."
The girls turned around and saw the three boys from before and started screaming and holding up their cross.
"Oh my god! Please stop screaming!" One of the boys shouted, causing both girls to stop screaming.
"Who the fuck are you and why are you in our mom's studio?" Genesis asked.
"Your mom's studio? This is our studio. Trust me, my.." One of the boys said, as Julie held the cross out to him as he slid on top of the piano and went over to the couch.
"The grand piano is new, and.. and.. and... my couch!" He said, throwing himself on the couch.
Genesis and Julie gave him a weird look as he sat up.
"It's the Justin Bieber haircut for me." Genesis whispered to Julie as Julie tried her hardest to not laugh.
"That is definitely not my six-string." He looked up. "Can you give me just as one second?" Julie was still holding the cross out to him as Genesis put her hand down. "Just.. give me a second. Thank you." He turned around and immediately looked at the boys.
"Julie, I am freaking out! Why are they here?" Genesis whisper-shouted.
"I don't know!"
"Maybe... maybe she's a witch! There's chairs hanging from the ceiling." The girls heard.
"Are they calling us witches?" Genesis asked.
"That's your question? There are ghosts in our moms studio." Julie said sighing.
"No, I know. I know. It's just very.. scary." Genesis mumbled to herself.
"I know."
"They are not witches. Okay, look. They are just scared. Let someone with a softer touch handle this." One of the boys said and turned around to look at the girls.
"Why are you in our studio?" The boy raised his voice.
"Softer touch, my ass." Genesis said out loud as one of the boys snickered.
Julie then stuck her hand through his chest and pulled it back out while Genesis was looking like a deer in headlights.
Genesis then started praying silently.
"Clearly, your not understanding... she doesn't get it. Okay, look. We're ghosts, alright? We're just three ghosts, and we're really happy to be home. So thank you for the flowers. They really brighten up the room." The taller one said before backing up.
"We're actually in a band called Sunset Curve." The short one said.
"Tell your friends."
"Last night was supposed to be a really big night for us. It was gonna change our lives." The boy said.
"I'm, uh.. I'm pretty sure it did." The tall one whispered to the short one.
"This is freaking me out." Genesis pulled out her phone before holding the cross out again.
"What is that? What are you doing?" The boy pointed to her phone.
"It's her phone."
"No! Stop talking to them, they aren't real, Jules. There's no such thing as cute ghosts." Genesis said as Julie nodded.
"Oh, think we're cute?" One of the boys said, causing Genesis and Julie to glare at him.
Genesis then went back to her phone.
"Who you calling?"
"She's googling Sunset Swerve." Julie said as Genesis looked at them.
"Sunset Curve!" The three boys said in unison and one of the boys made a curve with their finger.
Genesis then rolled her eyes, and searched up Sunset Curve.
There was a news article that popped up about them so she pressed it.
"Whoa. There is a Sunset Curve. You did die. But not last night." Genesis said as she showed Julie her phone.
"Twenty-five years ago?" Julie asked in confusion.
"What? No. No, no, no. Th-Th-that's impossible. After we floated out of the ambulance, all we did was go to that weird, dark room where Alex cried." The boy next to 'Alex' said.
"Well.. I don't think.. I think we were all pretty upset. Okay." 'Alex' spoke in a high pitched voice.
"But that was just for like an hour. We just showed up here." The short one said.
"Look, I'm just telling you what my phone says." Genesis flipped her phone so the boys can see it.
"See? You died in 1995. When you were 17. It's now 2020, a very shitty year." Genesis said as Julie elbowed her in the side.
"G! Stop cursing!" Julie whisper shouted.
"I can't help it, this is freaking me out!" Genesis whisper shouted back.
"Wait, so, this is the future?" One of the boys asked.
Genesis rolled her eyes and put her phone back in her pocket.
"Wait. So... so, it has been 25 years?" Genesis nodded her head. "I have been crying for 25 years? How is that possible?" Alex asked.
"Well, your a very emotional person." The boy said.
"I am not!"
"Mhm. Yeah. Soft touch. Not a lie at all." Genesis whispered to Julie, causing her to snort and the boys stared at her.
"Thought you were afraid to come out here. Talking to your ghost friend? How does he look? Is he hideous?" Carlos said.
"He can see you."
"No, he can't." Genesis said looking at Alex.
"What?" Carlos asked after looking around.
"Uh.. what do you want?" Julie asked.
"Normal sisters, for starters. Stop being weird and come eat." Carlos said before leaving.
"I'm gonna fight him!" Genesis yelled as she threw her phone on the couch and almost chased after him but got pulled away by Julie.
"He couldn't see.. calm down.. he couldn't see you." Julie said as she held Genesis back.
"Yeah. I mean, that's.... usually how ghosts work." Alex said.
"Can I fight him?" Genesis asked pointing at Alex.
"No. You cannot." Julie said pulling her by the arm to the door as Genesis glared at Alex.
The girls then turned around.
"Look, I'm very sorry for what happen to you guys, but this isn't your studio anymore. You have to leave." Julie said to the boys.
"And you!" Genesis pointed at Alex. "I swear you make one more snarky comment, I will freaking fight you."
Alex then took a few steps back in fear of the girl.
The girls then turned around and was about to walk out.
"But wait.. we.. We didn't get your names?"
"It's Julie." Julie said.
"I'm Genesis." Genesis said still glaring at Alex.
"I-I'm Lu..ke by the way." Genesis held the cross in front of Luke. "And this is-"
"Reggie. I'm Reggie. Hey." Reggie said.
"And.."
"Alex. How's it going? Um.. she's kinda freaking me out." Alex referred to Genesis as she sarcastically smiled.
"Ba-da." Luke said softly.
Genesis looked at the three in confusion and then back at Julie.
"Okay?" Genesis said, putting her cross down before walking away. Julie walking with her.
"They seem nice." The girls heard.
"Did you miss the part where she kicked us out or when Genesis was threatening to fight me? Cause i'm pretty sure she will." Alex asked.
The girls laughed quietly before walking up the stairs.
"Okay.. so. There are three ghosts here. And yet, no Mom." Genesis said.
"Yeah."
The girls made their way inside of their house and sat at the dinner table.
They helped Ray and Carlos with the plates and the spaghetti.
Genesis set down the plate for their mom. And sat down.
"Here we go. Okay. Let's do this." Ray said.
"Let's do it."
They took each other's hands and Carlos and Genesis held their hands out in the place where their mom used to sit.
"Your turn, Carlos."
"Thank you for our leftovers and the power of the mighty microwave. Amen!" Carlos said as they let go of their hands.
"Amen." Julie and Genesis said in unison.
Genesis held up her plate as Ray put spaghetti on it.
"So.. Carlos tells me he found you two in the studio." Ray said, giving Julie some spaghetti.
"They were out there, talking to themselves." Carlos said looking at the two.
Julie looked at Genesis who was eating her spaghetti.
"Oh, we were rehearsing for a play." Genesis said before eating again.
"Hello! Hello!" They heard.
"Oh, busted." Carlos said, as they grabbed to utensils and the tablecloth from their moms side of the table.
"Yeah, we're in here. Quick!" Ray said.
Genesis put the plate on her lap as Ray threw the utensils elsewhere.
"Huh. Spaghetti. Again?" Their tia said.
"Yeah."
"That's too bad. I brought you my pasteles and arroz con pollo." Tia Victoria said as she put the food in the fridge.
"Yum!"
"Mm! Thanks, tia. It smells great." Julie said.
"You can have it tomorrow. I can't let you have leftovers every night. My sister would kill me. May she rest in peace." Victoria said as she walked over to the table. "Oh... i see things here are going better?" She rubbed the spot where Julie and Genesis' mom once sat.
"Actually... the girls have been cleaning out mom's studio." Ray said as he looked at both girls before looking at Victoria. "Hopefully, we can get the house on the market and some offers soon."
"Well, I like the sound of that. Moving from here is only gonna help you move on." Genesis looked over and saw the guys, she kicked Julie under the table softly, as she lowkey pointed to where the guys were. "You've got to rip that Band-Aid off and get the pain over with."
Both girls yelled out.
"Uh.. That's us. Ripping off the Band-Aid. Aah!" Genesis said as the girls chuckled nervously.
"There's my brave girls." Victoria grabbed both of their chins.
"Hey, Genesis, Julie. I really liked what you guys did with the place." Luke whispered to the girls, as Genesis rolled her eyes.
"You shouldn't be here." Genesis bluntly said to Luke as Victoria gasped.
"Oh, i'm just here to help, mija." Victoria said as Julie and Genesis looked at the boys and at Victoria.
"What she means is, you should be at Pilates." Julie said looking at Victoria.
"Thanks for bringing us food." Genesis and Julie hugged Victoria as Genesis sent a glare at the boys.
"Oh, it's nothing. And now that you two are no longer in the music program, you both can concentrate on classes that matter." Both girls let go of their aunt as they forgot to tell their dad about that topic.
"You got the email from school, right?" Victoria asked Ray.
"Yeah. We're still discussing it." Ray looked at the girls.
"Bueno. I'm off to Pilates. Mwah!" She blew Carlos a kiss.
"Oh, yeah. Wa-chow! It's gone." Carlos pretended to hit it like it was a baseball.
Victoria giggled and kissed both girls on their heads and then left.
"So, Julie, Genny, wanna hear how I slid into home and was almost safe?" The girls leaned forward to listen to Carlos, desperately waiting for the other subject to change.
"Your a good brother. That's not gonna work." He snapped his fingers and pointed for Carlos to leave.
"I tried." Carlos said before grabbing his plate.
"Well, Carlos, you can tell us some other time?" Genesis asked as Carlos nodded before leaving.
"Why didn't you tell me? You made me lie to your aunt." Ray said.
"Sorry. We were gonna tell you after dinner." Julie said to Ray.
"Yeah. Mm-hmm."
"We were." Genesis spoke up.
"Honey. I know those classes can be difficult but you still like music, don't you?" Ray asked the girls.
"I don't know. Maybe." Julie and Genesis shrugged.
"Look, we talked about this, you know? And how painful memories can be, but.. You know, every time I see you girls and Carlos, I see Mom. It's like she's right here with us. But you know what? I love that. I do. And maybe if you'd give yourselves a chance, you'll get there." Ray said to the girls as they looked down.
Soon, they could hear loud rock music blasting.
Genesis pulled the plate from on her lap and set it on the table.
"What's that?" Carlos asked.
"We must have left the stereo on in the garage. We'll go get it." Genesis said as she grabbed Julie's arm and they left the house.
"I swear, if it's the guys i'm gonna kill them. Well.. bring them back to life and then kill them again." Genesis sighed angrily.
They opened the garage doors and the guys were playing their instruments.
Genesis gave Julie an "I told you so" look and then walked in with her at her side as they tried to get the boys to stop playing.
"Guys! Knock it off!" Julie yelled.
"Dude! Stop it! Cut it out!" Luke looked at Genesis as she was close to murdering the boy.
"Dude really? Knock it off!" Genesis yelled again.
The boys then stopped playing.
"The whole neighborhood can hear you. I thought we told you to leave." Julie crossed her arms as Genesis put her hair into a messy bun.
"Wait. People can hear us play?" Luke asked.
"Yes! And so did our dad and little brother!" Genesis quietly yelled at the guys.
"W-W-Wait. Wait. So, only you two can see us, but everyone can hear us? I mean, what kind of ghosts are we?" Alex asked.
"Who cares, man? People can hear us play!" Luke gave Reggie and Alex fist bumps.
"We might be dead, but our music isn't." Reggie said giving Alex a fist bump.
"Yeah, i'm so not close to killing you three." Genesis smiled sarcastically.
Ray then opened the door.
"Dad!" Julie said loudly, as Genesis turned to her dad.
"Hey. Just making sure you guys are okay." Ray said walking in the garage.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had to turn off the CD player." Genesis said, pointing to CD player.
"Wait. Is this the junk that was in the loft?" Ray asked looking at the instruments that the boys were just playing.
"Junk?" Luke asked.
Ray walked over to the drums and started hitting the drums and was spinning the cymbals.
"Some of this stuff is in pretty good shape. Hey, maybe we could make a couple bucks." He said looking at the girls before he began to play with the cymbals again.
"What? Yo, stop touching my drums! Tell him to stop touching my drums!" Alex yelled, as Luke looked at the girls.
"What do you want us to do? He can't even see you!" Genesis whispered to Luke.
"I liked that song you had on." Ray walked around the drums.
"Sweet! We're Sunset Curve." Luke said to Ray as he stood in between him and Reggie.
"Tell your friends." Reggie said.
"It's just an old CD she found." Julie said causing the boys to look at her in disbelief.
"She didn't mean it." Genesis whispered.
"Hm?" Ray asked Genesis.
"Nothing! Never mind." Genesis said, nervously.
"Well, still, it's nice that you're listening to music again. Out here you can play whatever you want, whenever you want." Ray said as his hands went through Luke and Reggie's chest.
"Oh! That's nice!" Reggie said smiling.
"Stay out of this." Genesis whisper shouted to the guys.
"I-i'm sorry, honey. I didn't..."
"Oh no, no, no, no. Not you. I mean.. uh.. er.. You know, give us a minute." Genesis rambled as she grabbed her dads and Julie's hand and led them to the door.
"Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. We'll figure out this music program thing." Ray had his hands on Genesis' shoulders.
"Thanks, Dad." She said, as she pointed to the door.
Ray then left as Genesis grabbed the door handle and pulling the handle as she glared at the boys as the door closed.
"He likes our songs." Luke looked at Alex and Reggie.
"Oh, yeah. He doesn't count. He's a dad." Alex replied as Genesis was slowly going mad.
"You know what, i have a question. Why can't you guys just be normal freaking ghosts? Hang out in an old mansion, i hear Pasadena's nice. Ugh!" She yelled at the three as she opened the door wider so Julie could leave first as she left until Alex said something sarcastically.
"I think she's warming up to us." Alex put his hands in his pockets.
"I'm not." She peaked her head back in before leaving again.
The girls then walked up the stairs as their heads was down.
Luke then appeared in front of the girls, scaring them.
"Aah! Stop that. I'm serious." Genesis said as she was tired of them getting scared.
"Oh, I'm sorry."
"What do you want, Luke?" Julie asked as Genesis crossed her arms
"I know this is all completely insane, but you do know how rad this is? People... Actual people can hear us play." Luke said excitedly.
"Yeah, it's just we've had a really, really awful day. We gotta go." Julie said as she grabbed Genesis by the arm, as they were about to leave but Luke stopped them.
"Well, i'm sorry you guys had a bad day, but three guys just found out that they had a bad 25 years, and then they found out that the one thing, the one thing they lived for in the first place they can still do. That's pretty rad." Luke rambled.
"You're right. It's just.." Genesis started.
"Your bad day. Yeah. I know. Look, I'm sorry we came into your lives, but.. what i just felt in there actually made me feel alive again. We all felt alive again. So, you can kick us out and you can threaten us if you want, but we're not giving up music." Luke pointed to Julie and then Genesis. "We can play again. That's a gift no musician would ever turn down. You gotta know that. Clearly, your mom is into music." Luke said as Genesis sucked in a sharp breath as he brought up their mom.
"Was. She passed away." Genesis looked anywhere else but at Luke. Julie put a hand on her shoulder.
"I am... so sorry." Luke apologized.
"Yeah, we... we didn't know." Alex said as both girls looked at him.
Julie then sighed.
"It's alright."
"You guys haven't seen her anywhere, have you? From wherever you're from?" Genesis asked as she rested her hand on the stone next to her.
"Um... No. No, I mean, you guys are kinda the first people we've seen." Alex pointed at the girls.
"Yeah, but they're not dead, so it doesn't answer her question." Reggie said, causing Genesis to smile and roll her eyes.
"Yeah, i think they know what we mean. I'm sorry for your loss." Alex said to the girls.
"Thanks." Julie smiled a little.
"Sorry I got mad. You guys are kinda good." Genesis looked at the guys.
"Kinda? Y-Y-You know that's like 25 years of rust just getting dusted off." Luke looked at the girls.
"Yeah. Do you play the piano too?" Reggie asked.
"No." Genesis lied. "No, I don't play. That was our mom's stuff in there."
"No way. She's an amazing songwriter." Luke said.
"She was. Wait. How would you know?" Julie asked.
"There's a song on the piano. If it's hers... your mom was really talented." Genesis looked down and fixed her glasses.
The girls looked at each other before looking at the guys. They then turned around and went to leave.
Genesis sighed and stopped.
Julie looked at her as she turned back around to the guys.
"I guess.. if you need a place to stay, you can stay in there." Genesis pointed to the studio.
"There's a bathroom in the back and a couch that turns into a bed if you can still use any of that stuff." Julie added.
"Dibs on the shower!" Reggie called out.
The girls and Luke and Alex looked at Reggie in confusion.
"I just really like showers and sometimes the occasional bath." He said.
"Yeah, uh.. this.. this is just too weird." Genesis said as she looked at Julie and the guys before walking away with Julie.
Julie opened the hatch as the girls left.
The girls made their way into the house and up the stairs into their room.
Julie pulled out her phone and began to text Flynn.
"What would you say if we told you there are three ghosts living in our moms studio?" Julie said as she typed it out.
"She'd say we're crazy." Genesis said.
Julie nodded and deleted the text.
"Imma take a shower, okay?" Genesis said to Julie as she grabbed her pajamas and a towel.
"Okay."
Genesis quickly got in the shower and did her shower routine before getting out and dried off.
She had her pjs on and was in the middle of brushing her hair when Luke appeared out of nowhere.
"Holy! Luke! What are you doing in here? I'm doing something." Genesis whispered to the boy.
"I just wanted to see how you were doing. You seemed pretty sad when we were in front of the studio." Luke said as he somehow propped himself against the wall without falling through.
"Well, i mean yeah. It's been over a year since me and Jules were in the studio. It was hard for all of us but it hit me and Julie hard ." Genesis said as she leaned against the sink.
"I feel you." Luke said as he looked at her. He then looked down. "Ooh, who's James?" He asked the girl who looked at her phone.
"Uh... he's uh.. no one. Um.. anyways where are Alex and Reggie?" Genesis changed the subject.
"They are waiting for me outside. But hey, if you need anything, anything at all, I may be a ghost but i'm still here for you and Julie." Luke said, as he looked her in the eyes.
"Wow, Luke. Look at you, a ghost therapist." Genesis said jokingly.
"Hey, I could be a great therapist." Luke played along.
"Dare to dream. Anyways, go to the boys, i don't want them coming up in here too." Genesis said to Luke as he smiled.
"Okay, okay. I'll go. Have a great night." Luke said before proofing out.
"Yeah.. you too." She whispered, before putting her hair in two braids and headed back to her room.
Julie sat up and looked at her.
"I heard you speaking. Who were you talking to?" Julie asked.
"Luke." Genesis said as if it were nothing.
"Ooooh, what did you talk about?" Julie was now interested in the conversation.
"He just said that if we needed anything at all we could talk to him." Genesis sat down on her bed.
"You know, i might take that offer." Julie laid down.
"Yeah. Me too.."
"Goodnight, Genny."
"Good night, Jules." Genesis said before laying down and closed her eyes letting sleep wash over her.

hiiii, this took me days to write! the part where the girls were talking to flynn in the staircase was actually a deleted scene from the show! i added that because i thought it would go with the rest of the story. and in this story, like julie, genesis needs her glasses. she doesn't wear them when they are performing with the guys and she doesn't wear them all the time. anyways chapter two is in the makings! have a good day! also the outfit at the top is what genesis was wearing when she met the guys.
