CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE:
SHE KNOWS

"EM. . . DON'T BE MAD." Alice started. It was now dark outside and Emma had just come down the steps. Emma stopped in her tracks and looked at the small pixie girl.

"What." Emma growled.

"EdwardmayormaynothavelefttogosaveBella."

"Let's try that again with spaces in between." Emma slowly said, even though she had heard what Alice had said. She wanted to make sure she had heard it correctly.

"Edward left to save Bella." Alice stated. She winced at Emma's harsh glare.

"Why." It wasn't a question, but a statement. Emma's eyes narrowed in on Alice. "What did you see Alice?"

"She was in Port Angeles and she was walking down an alley and there were six guys and they. . ."

Emma immediately frowned. She couldn't exactly be mad at that. He was saving her from something that happened to her wife when she was human. No matter how much Emma hated the girl, she would never wish that upon her.

"Well, let's hope he gets there in time." Emma says before turning on her heel and walking back up the steps.

"Wait, Em!" Emma turned and looked over at Alice.

"There's been another murder."

Emma immediately came back down the steps with furrowed eyebrows. "What? When?"

"They found him earlier today." Jasper spoke up.

"He's a local. Waylon Forge, I think was his name." Amelia said. "Carlisle's at the police station right now."

"Do we know who it was?" Emma asked, coming to sit down in the living room.

"Definitely vampires. Most likely nomads." Emmett replies.

It wasn't too long before the sound of two cars coming down the driveway could be heard. They all waited patiently as Edward and Carlisle entered the home. Rosalie appeared, standing beside Emma as they waited for Carlisle to speak.

"It's bad." Carlisle sighed. "They think it's another animal attack. It was definitely vampires."

"We need to find these nomads and get them out of town." Emmett spoke. The others nodded in agreement.

"Well, they're nomads. I'm sure they'll leave soon." Esme stated.

"And if they don't?" Emma asked. "We can't risk someone else getting attacked."

"We can't control it either." Carlisle responds.

"Well then, what do we do?" Rosalie asked, placing a hand on her wife's shoulder.

"I don't think there's anything we can do." Alice sighed, a frown plastered on her face. Jasper held her closer, not enjoying the fact that his mate was frowning.

"It's times like this, that I wish I could sleep." Emma mumbled before getting up off the couch and leaving the living room, Rosalie hot on her heels.

It was the next day and Emma wasn't in the mood to go to school. So, she didn't and neither did Rosalie. The two promised to go the rest of the week as long as they didn't have to go today. Emma sat on Rosalie's bed, reading a book. Rosalie had an arm wrapped around her waist, her free hand playing with Emma's hair.

"Where's Emma?" The sound of Amelia's voice could be heard. The two blonde's sat up and exchanged looks. Amelia sounded irritated. Amelia was never irritated. They quickly left the room and made their way down the steps.

"She's right here. Amy, is everything alright?" Emma quickly asked.

"Amelia." Edward voice could be heard as he entered the room. He was giving her a pleading look.

"What? She deserves to know." Amelia snaps. "They both do." Emma and Rosalie both looked at Edward.

"Know what." Emma asked, taking a step forward so that she was a few inches in front of her wife. The other Cullen children had entered the home and had made sure to make a clear path between Emma and Edward.

"Tell her, Edward. Or I will." Amelia seethed. Emmett wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her back into his chest so that she wouldn't be in the crossfire everyone in the house knew was about to happen. Edward glanced at the brunette before he looked over at Emma. He hadn't even told her and she was already fuming with anger.

"Look, I didn't tell her. She just. . . figured it out." Edward started. He was actually scared for his life in that moment.

"Who figured what out." Emma demanded through clenched teeth. Edward glanced over at his siblings with a begging look, but none of them said anything. They all knew better than to mess with an angry Emma. Edward had apparently yet to figure this out.

"Bella knows about us being vampires." Edward mumbled. Before Edward could even say anything else, a powerful energy slammed into his chest, throwing him out of the room and down the steps. He quickly scrambled up and exited the house and Emma was close to follow him behind as were the others.

"She WHAT?!"

"She knows. She knows what we are, what we eat, she knows of my gift. She knows almost everything." Edward explained. This only fueled Emma's anger. She shot another ball of energy at him, slamming him into a tree that made a loud crack when Edward's body slammed against it.

"Jasper, stop her." Alice begged. Jasper shook his head.

"I can't, not while she's like this."

"What the hell is wrong with you?!" Emma snarled, her eyes glowing a dangerous red as she glared at him. Her chaos magic surrounded her hands as she came closer to him. "If she tells someone, we are all dead. If the Volturi knows that she knows, we are all dead. So thank you so much Edward for signing all of our death certificate's."

"Emma-"

"Don't!" She snapped. She sped up to him, her arm slamming against his neck as she pinned him against the tree. "This is your fault. If she gets killed it's your fault. If we get killed, it's your fault. So in the future don't you dare blame any of this on us. Because all of this is going to be your fault. Remember that." She let go of her hold on him and took a step back as he wrapped an arm around his neck where cracks had been produced from her harsh strength. Emma hit him with another energy blast, sending him to the ground. "And you are no longer my brother." With that, she turned on her heel and stormed into the house, her siblings nor wife daring to try and calm her down.
