drama??
The night after the campout, we all woke up extremely early to trek back to camp. That is, those of us who actually managed to get to sleep.
After last night's conversation with Ricky, I found myself awake for most of the night- tossing, turning, and contemplating everything between us.
I set my feelings aside for the time being though, as we were going to be putting on a little musical number for Corbin Bleu. Mostly because we were theatre kids and we wanted to end up on TV regardless of our roles in the show.
Corbin was late so he didn't see the performance, however it still went super well! As someone who memorized all the choreo to Fabulous back in elementary school, I had more fun doing that routine than I did at camp so far.
Once we were done our performance, we all went our separate ways to our cabins to get changed for the reading.
A little less than an hour later, I found myself next to Ricky in the show circle, questioning every choice that had gotten me there.
On the bright side, I guess our awkwardness could cause Corbin Bleu to get the drama he wanted for the show??
Once we'd finished the show circle from hell, it was time to begin the first reading.
Since the actresses playing Young Anna and Young Elsa were on a nature retreat today, we'd be skipping the first parts of Act 1, which also meant that none of my scenes as Anna and Elsa's mother would be read today.
I was a little upset about just having to sit there and listen to everyone else read their lines, but at least it allowed me to just kind of zone out.
After a little while, I was pulled out of my trance by the feeling of someone's arm around me.
I looked behind me and saw Ricky's arm around me and around Gina.
"We're all close friends. There'll be no drama", he said, presumably to the camera guy behind us.
No drama, no fighting. Yep. Sure, Jan.
But you know what, I didn't want my personal drama broadcasted for every Disney+ subscriber, so I kept my mouth shut.
Later on, after it was determined that Jett was missing, we all headed to the canteen while Val and Maddox looked for Jett.
I sat on one of the couches with Ashlyn- the two of us sharing eye rolls every now and then. I guess it was safe to say that for both of us, camp was definitely not all that we'd expected it to be. It was fun, but it just wasn't as amazing as anticipated.
The summer of Violet was doomed from the minute Ricky arrived, and while I hated to let a stupid boy have that much power over me it was like I completely froze up anytime he was around. Even when we did manage to have normal non-awkward conversation, the high I felt when I was around him would end up making me feel even lower the second he walked away.
I was over his drama, and I was sick of being so passive. If Corbin Bleu wanted drama, I was sure as hell gonna give him some.
Author's Note: Hi, this sucks. Anyways, I'm moving into my dorm in two days and am going through it currently, but I wanted to update anyways so here's a short little crappy chapter. Updates will be slower all around, but I promise that I won't abandon this book! I love you guys!
Lots of love, Beth
