Violet' Outfit

I was currently dancing like an idiot to Dancing Queen by ABBA with Ashlyn and Kourtney, and honestly I was thriving.

It was the night of Carlos's quince, and I was pleasantly surprised with how well and how quickly the whole event had come together.

Gina had been responsible for mostly putting it all together, and on top of that she choreographed a whole song and dance routine for Carlos as well. I don't know how she did it. That girl was a powerhouse.

It was also super fun that Nini was back permanently, and I honestly felt like we'd grown closer now just because we could hang out when all the more main cast members of Beauty & The Beast were rehearsing, and at times, I just needed an old friend to rant to, and for me Nini was that.

While Ricky was on the other side of the room from me talking to Red and EJ, I couldn't help but blush every time I looked over at him. You see, when he'd come to pick me up for the party, he'd brought me roses and I don't know, just something about a boy making the effort to get a girl her favorite flowers ever made me blush like an idiot.

I wasn't used to being in a relationship, and just everyday I had Ricky as my boyfriend felt like a cool and fun surprise. I guess you could say...I was in love? As stupid as it sounded.

"Vi! They're playing Cruel Summer!" Nini exclaimed, pulling me out to the dance floor with her again.

We were both massive Taylor Swift stans, so to say we made fools of ourselves dancing to that song was an understatement.

After making complete fools of ourselves, we walked off the dance floor to join the boys. We took our seats next to all of them on the piles of hay that were artfully arranged around Seb's barn and made ourselves comfortable.

After just sitting there and talking for awhile, Seb was rolled out on a huge piano. Me being me, I knew some kind of amazingly sung power ballad was to come.

And I was right. Seb sang an amazing rendition of The Climb, and honestly get that boy on Broadway right now.

As we sat there, just listening to Seb sing his heart out, I laid my head on Ricky's shoulder, his arm around me as we just sat there.

"You guys are so gross!" Nini laughed, pointing at Ricky and I.

"We are not!" I protested, giggling.

"Nah, she's right. You guys are always like hanging onto each other", Ashlyn said matter-of-factly.

"Well...Ricky did always have a thing for girls named Violet", Red said, a huge smile on his face.

"Ew, what does that mean?" I laughed.

"No! Don't tell the story!" Ricky said, putting his head in his hands.

"He had a huge crush on Violet from The Incredibles in like sixth grade. I still wonder why exactly he had feelings for her..." Big Red said, a huge grin on his face.

Ashlyn, Nini and I burst out laughing.

"Thats hilarious!" Ashlyn laughed.

"Aww I think it's cute!" I smiled, putting my arm around Ricky.

"I found you a shirt", Nini said matter-of-factly, holding up her phone to show us an Incredibles shirt with Violet on it from the Disney Store.

"Yes! That's perfect! I'm so sad Valentines Day happened already, because that would be the perfect gift", I laughed.

"It's fine, you can buy it for me next year", Ricky said jokingly.

After a while more of just talking and hanging out, it was almost the end of the night.

I'd had a good time, but I felt a bit bad for Nini, because Gina hadn't even spoken to eat once throughout the whole night.

I knew it was none of my business, but still, it was odd to say the least. Especially since Nini had just recently told me how close her and Gina were becoming.

But whatever, I was there to enjoy myself, right?

And I did. I had an amazing time. I danced with Ricky to a slow song, and danced to a bunch of other songs with my friends and just overall had a great time.

It was truly a night to remember.

I promise the next one will be better, with this one I was just experiencing a bunch of writers block so I panicked and wrote what I felt sounded the best I guess.
