"jake, stop frowning and eat your food." jake bit his lower lip before putting away his phone to finish his food.

after days of not seeing each other because of their schedules, it's the first time he's having lunch with his best friend without any interruptions.

not that it matters because these past few days, he's been spending time with heeseung to the point that it actually feels like a fever dream.

what if we start dating sooner? he grinned at the thought. it wouldn't be impossible.

"jay," he tapped the table lightly to get his friend's attention. "do you think i'll be dating heeseung next month? or maybe next week?"

jay froze while the spoon is still inside his mouth. he coughed, then wiped his mouth off to speak.

"dude, how the hell would i know?"

"come on! just take a guess. heeseung seems like he got comfortable around me too, so i've got a chance right?" jake asked, his eyes full of hope.

no, you don't stand a chance against his first love.

jay wanted to say the truth, but how can he? he's not ruthless enough to break jake's hope of getting in a relationship with heeseung.

so like a fool that he is, he just nodded. unable to speak whatever's inside his mind.

jake smiled brightly- and jay wanted to push himself for giving him false hope, but somehow he's glad that he did.

i think it's not impossible that heeseung will like jake, too.

it's not hard to fall for him anyway.

heeseung sighed right before he closed his laptop. his migraine have been going on for two hours now and he feels like vomitting.

he stood up and headed straight outside of the library. he needs a break or two, or he'll actually end up dead.

"heeseung hyung!" he raised his head, feeling perked up at the sudden call of his name.

he automatically puts on his smile as he sees jake walking towards him, a paperbag on his right hand.

maybe i should've not let him call me hyung, but it sounds cute when he says it.

"hey," heeseung pats jake's head. "you don't have a class?"

"i do, but i still have five minutes so..." the younger hands him the paper bag. "i brought you some fruits, my brother gave me a lot yesterday."

"oh... wow, thank you." heeseung feels nauseous, but he managed to smile at jake. "your brother must love you a lot."

"not really, you know how siblings are." he looks at heeseung, "do you have a sibling, hyung?"

"yeah, i do."

"oh really? is it an older bro or a younger one?"

"a younger brother." heeseung looks at his wristwatch, "aren't you gonna be late?"

jake's eyes widened before he waved goodbye to him while running towards his classroom.

he lets out a deep breath before going back to the library. break's over, i should head back to reality.

jungwon and hiyyih are talking right outside of the liberal arts building, under one of the canopies. they're waiting for ni-ki to arrive, but it's probably gonna take a long time since he's busy with his boyfriend.

"good for you, boo. that was the right decision." hiyyih gave him a thumbs up.

"whatever, i hate dating rich guys." jungwon rolled his eyes, "they always think money solves the problem."

"because it does, bitch."

"i know, that's why i'm annoyed at them because i don't have a lot of that."

hiyyih gives him a confused look. "then date one and take their money! duh, easy peasy lemon squeezy."

the two laughed at her statement. they continued talking about random topics when jungwon spotted jake, who just got out of his lecture.

"jake hyung!" he gestured the older guy to walk towards them. "come here."

"what?" jake mutters.

"since riki's still not here, you're his substitute." hiyyih gave him a piece of candy. "here, take one."

jake sits beside them although he doesn't really want to be there. he's not even close with them, so he feels a little awkward.

"so tell us hyung," jungwon started off, "when did you start liking heeseung hyung?"

what the hell? "h-what?"

"don't look so shocked, i have a talent for gossip. plus, i think ni-ki told us last time."

jake couldn't find what words to say. he feels like he got ambushed. it feels like i'm in high school.

"want us to help you, sunbae?" hiyyih's squeals. "don't worry, we'll guide you on how to make him fall in love with you!"

oh gods. they're literal high school teens on puberty. somebody save me from them.

jake laughed nervously. "haha you know what, i think i'm good. thanks for the offer th-"

"no, we insist!" the two started talking about their plan, completely ignoring jake.
