Primrose couldn't help but stare at the man in front of her as she took in the words he just spoke. On the other side of the room, Rocket turned his attention back to his cellmates, completely shocked by the direction their conversation went. While she kept her eyes glued to Yondu, the Quill woman couldn't decide if she believed him or not. One of the first things Primrose ever learned was not to trust the former leader of the Ravagers, but there was a small part of her telling her he wasn't lying. That for the first time since she met the Centurion man, he was telling the truth. And yet, she still didn't want to believe him.

"You didn't know my father," Primrose finally said after finding enough courage within herself to speak, "my father was human. He never left Earth."

"That's what he wanted everyone to believe," Yondu responded while keeping his eyes locked with the woman across from him.

Curiosity began to mix with the disbelief in the Quill woman's veins as a million thoughts bounced around in her head. What felt like an eternity passed before she thought of the one question that would prove if Yondu was lying once again or telling her the truth for the first time in her life. "What was his name?"

A small smile appeared on the former leader of the Ravagers' face. "Jorvik Petrusson. But his Terran name was Jordan Parrish."

The world around Primrose seemed to slow at the same moment her blood turned into ice. A million thoughts swam through her head, all looking for answers to unsolvable questions. The Quill woman felt her heart beating rapidly in her chest as her breathing quickened. Everything felt upside down at that moment. And despite wanting to look away, her eyes stayed glued to Yondu's and she couldn't pull them away.

The shocked look on Primrose's face made the small smile on Yondu's face slightly grow. Not only did he finally take the genius by surprise, but the look on her face reminded him of her father. But the thought of his old friend made his smile falter. Despite the years that had passed since the man's passing, the Udonta man still blamed himself for what happened to Jorvik. After all, he was the one to send him off to Terra in the first place.

"So, are we just gonna sit around in awkward silence?" Rocket asked, drawing all the attention to him. When neither of the people in front of him said a word, he continued speaking. "Fine. I'll ask the question. How the h*ll did you know her father?"

Yondu just stared at the raccoon standing in front of him for a moment before his attention fell back on Primrose. He would keep the tale to himself if it were up to him. The former leader of the Ravagers hated thinking back to the last time he saw his best friend. But after seeing the curiosity in the Quill woman's eyes, Yondu knew there was no getting out of it. So instead of keeping the story to himself, the Udonta man let out a sigh and opened his mouth to respond.

"I met Jorvik when we were young and stupid. Said he left his homeworld to look for an adventure. He didn't hesitate to join the Ravagers. He was one of the best," Yondu hesitated for a moment before trying to gather his thoughts while Primrose and Rocket continued to stare at him. After what felt like an eternity, the former leader of the Ravagers continued his story. "I sent him to Terra about thirty-two years ago to find a precious object. Never expected him to fall in love with your mother."

Primrose's mind was on overdrive as she took in the information that was just given to her. She still didn't want to believe him, especially after all the lies Yondu had told her throughout the years. But for the first time in her life, the Quill woman did believe him. Whether it was the genuine look in his eyes or the tone he used while talking about Jorvik, Primrose didn't know. All she knew was that Yondu knew her father. And by the expression on his face, he knew what happened to him.

"And then what?" Primrose questioned after gathering all the courage that was flowing through her veins before all eyes landed on her, "where is he now?"

Yondu hesitated once again, making the Quill woman's veins run cold. The pure silence was enough to tell her that what was about to come next wasn't good, but she also needed to know. She needed the truth. So after letting out a long breath, Primrose whispered two words just loud enough for the Udonta man to hear. "Please, Yondu."

"Alright," the leader of the Ravagers sighed while Rocket continued to look between them with an unreadable look on his face, "I got a message from him about twenty-nine years ago saying that someone was after him. He didn't wanna put you in danger so he was leaving Terra and going back to...back home. Told me that if something happened to him then I needed to find you. We found his ship a week later. Someone attacked him and he...he didn't make it."

Even though Primrose already knew her father was gone, Yondu's story made her feel like she lost him all over again. Whether it was because she finally learned the truth or because the piece of hope that her father was alive vanished, she didn't know. All the Quill woman knew was that she would never truly meet her father, and that devastated her more than she would like to admit. But underneath all that sadness was the slight feeling of envy.

She knew she was always jealous of Peter for knowing her father for a short time, even if it was something he had no control over. But now she was envious of how Yondu, someone she never thought would even know her father, was one of Jorvik's best friends. Primrose was starting to wonder if everyone knew her father except for her.

While Primrose was lost in her own world of emotions, Rocket was staring at Yondu with a hint of skepticism in his eyes. Yes, he believed every word the Udonta man had said. No one would show that much emotion for a lie. But there was something off about the story. And the raccoon was determined to get the last piece of information that the former leader of the Ravagers chose to leave out. "Where was he from?"

Yondu instantly turned his attention toward Rocket and stared at the small creature with an unreadable look on his face. "He didn't like sharing that information."

"Where was he from?" Rocket repeated, earning a slight glare from the Centurion man before the former continued speaking.

After hearing Rocket's question, Primrose was now staring at Yondu with curiosity mixed with her sorrow. She didn't originally pick up on the piece of information that the Udonta man had left out, but now that was all she could think about. When the former leader of the Ravagers still left them in silence, the Quill woman decided it was time to break it. "Where was my father from, Yondu?"

It wasn't long before Yondu let out a rather long sigh while not even attempting to hide his irritation. Another moment passed before the Udonta man opened his mouth to answer their question. "Asgard."

Rocket immediately busted out laughing while Primrose just stared at Yondu with a hint of shock in her eyes. As soon as her brain finished processing the information, the Quill woman not-so-gently nudged the raccoon with her foot to get him to stop. Her actions caused Rocket to glare up at her before he gestured toward the former leader of the Ravagers. "Oh, come on, Prim. Out of all the names he could've made up, he chose the name *ss Guard? How could you not laugh?"

"You really are a dumb*ss," Primrose muttered under her breath, earning another sharp glare from Rocket before she continued speaking, "it's pronounced Asgard. Land of the Norse Gods. If you actually picked up a book, you would know." The Quill woman hesitated for a moment as she turned her attention back to Yondu. "Are you saying Asgard's real? And that my father was a Norse God?"

"Well, technically he was one of their guards but yeah...just one of the less important ones."

"I guess that explains why I was able to hold onto the stone for so long back on Xandar," Primrose muttered under her breath as she continued to analyze all the information that was just given to her.

"So, we got one Quill who thinks he's the best at everything and another who's half-god...now they're both gonna have an overinflated sense of self-worth," Rocket announced, earning harsh glares from both of the people in the room with him.

"You like a professional *sshole or what?" Yondu questioned, earning a small laugh from Primrose.

"Pretty much a pro," Rocket responded without a care in the world before he went back to looking around at the room they were trapped in.

Silence surrounded them for another long moment before Primrose caught a look in Yondu's eyes that she had seen so many times. The same look he always got when he formed a plan silently in his head. It wasn't long after that when he looked up at the Quill woman with a large smile on his face, something that made Rocket slightly cringe. "I got an idea on how to get outta here...but we're gonna need your little friend."

The three of them sat around in their metal cage for hours after listening to Yondu's plan. Even though they wanted to get started, they couldn't do anything without Groot. But knowing the Ravagers, they were having fun tormenting him in some way. That thought alone made Primrose angrier than she had been in a very long time, even more so than she was with Yondu. If even one small branch was broken on Groot's head, the Quill woman was going to make someone pay.

It wasn't much longer when they heard the sound of tiny footsteps approaching them. All three of them instantly got to their feet and rushed towards the bars. What Primrose saw next broke her heart into a million pieces. Yes, their prayers were answered when they saw Groot walking in their direction. But the sad look on the tiny creature's face wasn't worth it.

"Hey, Twig!" Yondu called out, causing Groot to stop in his tracks and look up at the three of them, "come here. Come on."

The look on Groot's face didn't change as he walked closer to him with his head hanging low. His actions caused Primrose and Rocket to exchange a look before their attention fell back on Groot, only to find him standing a foot away from the bars.

"Aw, man, what did they do to you?" the raccoon questioned after he took in the state that Groot was in.

"I'm so sorry, Groot," Primrose said, drawing the creature's sad eyes to her.

"Hey, you wanna help us get outta here?" Yondu asked, earning a small nod from Groot before the former continued speaking, "there's something I need you to get and bring back to me. In the captain's quarters, there's a prototype fin...the thing I wore on my head. There's a drawer next to the bunk. It's in that. It's red. You got it?"

After sending the former leader of the Ravagers another small nod, Groot raced back in the direction he came. A large smile soon appeared on Yondu's face as he turned to look at Primrose and Rocket. However, it somewhat faded when he saw the mixed emotions in their eyes, both of them knowing sending Groot off to find fin could either work amazingly or drastically fail.
