Chapter 4

"Do you actually know where he might be jj?"
"Yes. Relax we're nearly there, dork. Just shut up"
"Make me."
He turns around
"You wanna play that game? Okay then."
"I'm waitinggg..."
"You know what I know what will make you be quiet"
"And what's that maybank?"
He leans in close. So close that our lips are inches away.  My breath has never been so shaky and my heart was pounding.
Why am I feeling like this?

He pulls out a dollar from his pocket and puts it in my hand
"Your welcome" he whispers
He turns around and continues walking
"What am I supposed to do with this!!"
I wave the folded dollar in the air
"Ugh!" I groan

"There he is" he points in the distance where John b is loading the stuff into his boat
"Typical. Are you going or not?"
He hesitates
I roll my eyes and nudge him with a pleading face
"Pleaseeeeeee. You said you would..."
He huffs and goes to convince John-b

"Hey man.. where'd you get the..stuff?"
"You know that new job I got? Well....I earned enough to pay for it"
"Okay man I know your lying. Maya stopped by. As much as I hate her she'll lose her job unless you give it back. So please. For the love of god Just do the right thing, man please"
"Since when do you care?! You would do the same thing."
"Yes. I would but not if someone else is involved I couldn't do that. Now please, Hand the stuff over, John-b."

John-b looks over to me in the distance and closes his eyes for a moment then bent down to the box , places the stuff back into it and passes it to jj.
"Tell her I'm sorry.. what have I done" He sits and puts his head in his hands

JJ walks back with the box on his hand
"He says he's sorry. He's not normally like this.." Jj says
He hands me the box
The tips of our fingers meet for a moment.
We stare into eachothers eyes until kie comes over and asks if I need a ride home
"No, you saw me come in my car remember?"
"Yeahhhh. Well some guy just took your car. The keys where inside"
"Fuck! The ONE time I come to this side I get robbed?! TWICE!. You know what?! I'll just walk home. Thanks very much jj I owe you."
I walk back.
"Get the car started." Jj says
"But she didn't want a ride?"
"I'm not letting her walk alone on his side. Just go start the fucking car Kie" he says with concern
"Okay!."
"ALREADY DID THAT SIMP" pope shouts from the Twinkie
Jj rolls his eyes and gets in the back

"There she is over there pope" Kie points

He slows down the car
Jj opens the car door

"Witherspooooon" he sings
"What do you want jj?"
"Get in the Vannnn"
"Nooooo" I sing back
"Come on please!!!"
I hesitate

"Okay but I swear to god if he crashes this car and I die, I will come back and haunt you all"

"Oh no. Not only will I be traumatised but! I'll have to see you forever how could anyone live like that?"

I get in the back with jj

I tap his face mimicking the party when I slapped the living shit outta him

"Hillarious, Witherspoon"

I let out a breathy chuckle

It had been about five minutes so I start making conversation
"Hey so jj have you thought about what you want yet? I owe you remember?"
"Hmm, how about you throw a party FULL of booze and dares and.."
"Eww gross why dudeeee I hate parties. Absolutely not."
"You have to! That was the deal! Andddd..."
"Ugh and what!"
"Spin the bottle" kie says

Jj points at kie

"Fine but you guys are changing the sheets if it leads to more"
"Never in a million years" kie pretends to throw up

"Jj just wants to have an excuse to kiss you, Maya"
"Pope shut up! No I don't!"

"Alright! Alright! Please just put me out of my misery faster"
"Yes! Rich people booze I'm so excited" pope says sarcastically "you know I have my scholarship to think about! What if something happens? I'll lose it in an instant!"

"If something happens, which it won't, I'll back you up. It'll be like you were never even there." I give him a reassuring tap on the shoulder

"Thanks maya but I don't think that plan will work. Remember how drunk you were last time at a party?"
Pope laughs

"I know. But I vowed to never drink again,
Worst. Hangover. Ever" I face palm

"That's called being a dumbass, Witherspoon." Jj smirks
"Yeah no shit. You think I don't know that?!"

"We're here Maya" kie tells me
"Oh thanks guys for the lift. I'll see you at the party yeah?"
"Course"
"See ya"
"Can't wait, Witherspoon"

Me and jj share a lingering look until I turn away
Hiding my bright red cheeks

Why am I feeling like this?!
