Chapter 14 ~ Here Comes the Bride (of Frankenstein!)
Episode: Season 7 - Season Seven, Time For a Wedding! Pt. 1
This was it. This entire thing was spiraling out of control. Even though the three of us had been doing cases together again, we'd all taken a slight break away from each other for a few days. And when I say "us" of course I mean just Dean. Either way though, I thought we'd be fine on our own - Sammy and me. But somehow, he had managed to get himself into a ton of trouble. Trouble that I honestly didn't know how to get him out of.
Which left me with one option: Dean. I didn't want to be around him right now - especially with how our last case had went down. But I needed him for this. There was literally no one else who'd know what to do. And...he was my last hope for Sam. I sighed, shaking my head as I pressed the 'send' button on my phone, the text going straight to his messages.
Hopefully, that would get him over here. About half an hour later, I heard someone walking down the hallway and hurriedly got up out of my seat to rush over to the door. Swinging it open, I was met by the barel of a gun and Dean's serious expression.
"Thank goodness you're here!" I said, relief washing over me as I pushed the gun away from my face and dragged him inside the chapel, "It's okay, you won't need that. Come on,"
We walked down the aisle and past the chairs set up beside us. I pushed him down into one and sat down beside him. From up at the altar, Sam stood looking over the small group of people in the room. I saw Dean eye him but say nothing.
"I thought you were off at another one of your clubs," I said with a roll of my chocolate-brown eyes, "Almost thought you weren't coming,"
Dean grumbled beside me, "Yeah, well, I almost didn't. But I thought you and Sam might be in trouble-"
"Oh, I'm not the one in trouble here. It's Sam," I interrupted him, arching my eyebrows for emphasis.
"What are you talking about?" he asked me in confusion, "What's the pretext? What are we, wedding crashers, huh? We looking for some siren or what?"
A sigh escaped my mouth and I shook my head, strands of black hair falling over my shoulders just as the doors that we had just entered began to open again.
"Noting like that. Just watch and see." I told him, nodding my head to gesture towards the doors.
Suddenly, the organ began to play and in walked a woman in a beautiful, flowing wedding dress. A gauzy white veil was in front of her face and in her hands, she held a bouquet of red and pink roses as she strode down the aisle.
Dean's eyes widened considerably in shock and I nodded, "Told you we had a problem."
Dean shot me a sarcastic "oh-really?" look as the bride walked up to Sam.
"Oh, it gets better," I said, patting him on the knee so that he paid attention.
Slowly, Sam began to lift up the veil and finally, the bride's face was reveled. Dean almost fell out in the floor.
"Becky?!" he shrieked, eyes wide in shock.
If it hadn't been such a dire situation, I probably would have let him do just that. But instead, I managed to latch onto his arm so that he doesn't topple out of his chair face-first.
"Dean!" she said, turning to face him, her and Sam both smiling, "I'm so glad you're here."
