CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT—
the end of a silver pony.

"Hey." Alexa greeted the boys as she walked up to the apartments. "What's going on? Who was that random number in our group chat?"

"That was Sam." Demetri explained to her.

"You know as much as we do. Sam told us to meet here."Miguel shook his head, Robby rubbed Alexas arm as she stood next to him.

"I can't get a response from-" Robby began, being cut off.

"Tory?" Eli gapped as the pair of girls walked up together. Alexa never though she'd see Tory and Sam walking side by side, a gapping look on her face.

"Okay." Alexa blinked a couple times, sharing a minor panicked look with Robby. "Have I inhaled some second hand smoke?"

"If you did, the rest of us did too." Eli matched her shock.

"What's, uh.." Miguel took a better route then the smoke talk. "What's up? Hi."

"What happened to your hand?" Robby looked at Torys wrapped wrist.

"Uh, training accident." she said in return.

"Training accident?" Alexa gave her an odd look. "Like what?"

"I'm okay." she wanted the subject dropped, they chose to respect that.

"We think we have a way to prove Silver assaulted Stingray." Sam looked at the group.

"If the attack happened at the old dojo, Silver installed security cameras." Tory spoke alongside her. "There's also footage of him admitting to Kenny he left the rat at Alexas door. Kenny told me this morning."

"Meaning that's assault for Stingray, plus harassment to a minor." Alexa tilted her head knowingly. "Thank god I don't turn eighteen until April."

"So maybe he's all on tape." Miguel confirmed, glancing at Robby for an agreement nod.

"But that place was cleaned out." Robby shook his head, wrapping his arm around Alexa when he saw her shoulders shrink.

"That might not matter." Demetri rose his eyebrows. "I mean, the system that we sell at TechTown all saved the footage to a central server. When Silver moved out, he probably took the whole system."

"I think he did." Tory confirmed. "There is a server in his office at the flagship dojo."

"Do you think you could get to that?" Alexa gave Demetri a hopeful look.

"Me? Absolutely." he pointed.

"If we access it, we can find that footage." Eli added in . "We can even post that Stingray clip to their YouTube channel. Lex's too, so The Valley can back off her."

"Hallelujah." Alexa rose her and Robbys arms

"Get ahold of everyone else." Sam looked around to each of them . "Let them know that we're taking down Cobra Kai...tonight."

As they all began to spread out, Sam took it upon herself to walk next to Alexa. "Hi."

Alexa glanced over, her eyebrows frowned together. "Hi?"

"I'm sorry for how I reacted toward you last night." the dark haired girl said honestly. "I was really upset, and I didn't understand."

"I get it. I do the same thing." Alexa pointed out with a shrug. "React without thinking is a dangerous trait."

"Tell me about it." Sam agreed with her. "I am glad you're trying. Silvers an idiot, you did really good at The All Valley."

"You mean after you kicked my ass?" Alexa gave a look of disbelief.

"You would have lasted longer if Johnny hadn't yelled at you and got in your head." Sam shrugged her shoulders. "Anyways."

Alexa hesitated. "I'm sorry, too. For being such a dick to you, and all the times we fought. Tory is my best friend, I just hated seeing her hurt. But, I forgave Miguel, and he was more at fault for that kiss anyways. Meaning, if you can work on that jumping to conclusions thing, I can forgive you too."

"You got it." Sam offered her a shy smile, nodding her head. "Thanks."

"If it's the same alarm system I should be able to bypass it." Robby walked toward the new Cobra Kai dojo.

"Spoken like a man that's done this before." Demetri laughed at him.

"Yeah, well karate wasn't my first hobby." Robby shrugged. "Fractured a law or two before we met."

"While you were in your law breaking era, I had huge glasses and was getting shoved in lockers." Alexa touched her heart frantically. "They should have a hallmark movie about us."

"The boy robs his soon to be nerdy girlfriend." Robby agreed with her.

"Or we could just scan my key card." Tory pulled it from her pocket. "So that those of us on probation keep from, you know, violating it."

"Very true." Alexa exhaled. "What would I do if the both of you got sent to jail?"

"Kill yourself?" Tory suggested.

"Get arrested too?" Robby added.

Alexa pursed her lips. "Yeah, you know I love orange."

"She loves the orange." Robby shrugged in agreement.

"What's happening, folks?" Eli greeted the fello Miyagi-Fangs as they walked from the parking lot.

"What's up, man?" Chris high-fived him. "Sorry we're late. Someone took forever to get ready."

"It's the middle of the night." Mitch shrugged, immediately looking at Tory and Alexa. "What is they doing here?"

"It's fine. She's with us. So is Alexa." Sam defended the pair. "For what we're about to do at least."

"Watch your tone, Penis-Breath." Alexa mocked him, Robby gave her a look.

"So what are we doing?" Nathan looked at them.

"All your text says is that we're gonna take down Cobra Kai. But, like, how exactly?" Mitch looked at Eli in questioning.

"Gonna show them who their sensei really is. We think we have proof he's a criminal." Miguel informed each of them.

"We're going upstairs to Silvers office. We need downstairs as lookout." Sam looked at the remaining.

Tory swiped her card, Alexa walked in behind her before reaching back and shoving Eli to the front. "Okay, so pulling this Stingray clip off the server is like first day of computer camp shit. Got it?"

"Yeah." Demetri passed it to him after Alexa shoved him to the front as well.

"And then we just upload the clip to the YouTube Channel and Cobra Kai is out of business." he confirmed, plugging the cord into the ipad. Alexa leaned ridiculously close. "Lex, you're gonna have to back off with your man breathing."

"Man breathing?" she gapped.

"See, I told you i'm not the only one who notices it." Robby argued with her.

"Okay, so Stingrays assault happened the morning after prom." Demetri confirmed, taking the chair after Eli stood up. Alexa did it again. "Alexa!"

"I can't see, Demetri." she argued with him. "I have terrible vision."

"You don't have glasses?" Sam gave a questionable look.

"I did, but Sensei Lawrence yanked them from my face and crushed them on my first day in Cobra Kai. Said I couldn't be badass without them." Alexas shrugged casually, Robby stared like she had eight heads. "Never wore em since."

"Any idea how to disconnect one of these?" Tory got Robbys attention as she looked to the security cameras.

"Yeah." he walked forward. "Lex, a hand?"

"You got it." she walked over, pressing her foot into his hand and yanking the camera off the wall as it shattered at her feet. "Fun, teenage activity."

"I can't believe it's happening." Tory spoke to as they watched. "We're really gonna take Silver down."

"Yeah." Robby nodded. "What could go wrong?"

Alexa winced. "Everyone could still think i'm a rat."

"At least you'd be a good looking rat." Miguel pointed out with a shrug. "Not a sewer rat."

"Thank you, Miguel." she pursed her lips. "That made me feel a hundred times better."

"Okay." Demetri braced himself. "I got it!"

He hit play, the clear video of Silver mocking Stingray playing before it started to glitch out. "No!"

"Shit. Shit." Demetri panicked.

"What happened?" Tory matched his tone.

"That's all there is!" he announced. "The rest of it's been erased!"

"Find my video. Maybe that'll be enough." Alexa spoke hopefully as Demetri clicked around to yesterday, hitting play.

"Is what she said true?" Kenny asked Silver. "Did you leave a rat at Alexas house?"

"I did." Silver admitted to him. "Do you want her to rat us out to her new dojo, Mr.Payne."

"No, I don't." Kenny promised him. "But, do you really think she would? I mean, has she actually?"

"Not yet." Silver said back.

"Fuck, that's not good enough." Alexa groaned in disbelief. "Stupid, piece of silver haired mother fucking shit."

"Lex." Eli's eyes widened.

"Silver covered his tracks." Robby shook his head.

"Of course he did." Sam rolled her eyes.

"Okay. So-so what now?" Miguel started to worry.

Tory sat still a second. "I think there might be some other footage we can use."

"You wouldn't know the date and time?" Eli looked over at her hopefully.

Tory leaned to the computer, all watching as she typed in the right one and a small video coming up. Eli then cut in as she backed off. "Okay. I think I got it. Is this the clip?"

"Yeah. That's the one." Tory nodded as a loading bar showed up, making her back up.

"Guys!" Chris shouted from downstairs.

"What was that?" Demetri looked to the door.

"We'll check it out. You guys stay here, we need that footage." Sam spoke quickly as she looked at Alexa when she didn't follow. "You coming? We could use you."

"I will. I wanna make sure he gets called out for what he did." Alexa nodded. "If it gets bad, yell for me."

"Good idea." Robby liked the idea of her staying up here more anyways, especially with how many people wanted her head downstairs.

"Don't worry, Alexa. We got you." Eli spoke as she circled the table with the pair. "Silver is going down."

"Can't wait to see the look on his face." she smiled, watching Demetri closely. "This is odd."

"What's odd?" Demetri asked as he continued to type away.

"The three of us alone together. This is the first time since before Cobra Kai." she pointed out with a dry laugh. "All that's missing is some glasses, a bunch of grandpa sweaters, and...whatever Demetri has now that he use to not."

"Game?" Eli suggested.

"Ouu." Alexa winced at his words. "That was a hit right to the balls."

"Yeah, thank you." Demetri scoffed.

"Lex!" Tory yelled from down stairs, making her look to the door in a panic.

"Go." Demetri insisted. "I'm not leaving here without this footage. Swear on my life."

"Okay." Alexa breathed out, sprinting down the stairs as she was welcomed into a large fight. Kyler was running up the stairs in the process. "Hi."

"Oh-" he began before she held the railing of the stairs, jumping up and kicking him in the chest as he fell down the stairs.

"Robby Keene who?" Alexa mocked, running over him as she immediately went to Miaygi-Do's rescue. She ran toward Tory and her Cobra Kai fighter, locking her arm around their neck and swinging her body around so they'd loose their balance. Tory kicked them in the face under Alexa's grip before shoving him away. "Are you okay?"

"I'm good. They think I betrayed them." she breathed heavy.

"Who cares?" Alexas shrugged her shoulders. "We'll be traitors together."

"Yeah." Tory laughed, grasping Alexas shoulders to yank her down, swinging her leg over her to kick the Cobra Kai that planned to attack Lex from behind. As they Castillo girl rose, the sight of Robby and Kenny caught her eye from a few feet away. Kenny's fist collided right in Robbys chest, knocking him back. The hit wasn't hard, nothing to pull the reaction he had. That's when Alexa knew something was wrong.

She hadn't seen it happen with Eli, she didn't have time to hear about it either. This was all news to her, something so painfully fresh that it sent a traumatizing pain all through her body at the sight of Robby falling back, and not being able to breath. Alexa didn't want to hurt Kenny, but she also knew that she wouldn't be able to control her anger when it came to Robby being hurt. She immediately sprinted the rest of the way, dodging and flipping students that got in her way.

She kicked the back of Kenny as he stumbend forward and hit the ground, elbowing Dough in the face as Mickey grabbed her by the waist to yank her back. She reached back and yanked on his neck hard enough for him to loose his balance. Alexa tightened her core as tight as she could and preyed gravity would be on her side. She leaned back as far as she could, keeping her calf's straight and using her hands to yank Mikey's face to hit her right in the hip bone. It hurt her, but not nearly as bad as it had hurt him. As she brought the remaining of her body back up, she grasped his calf to flip him when she stood completely up.

"Robby." Alexa dropped to the floor after taking his attackers out, cradling his head as he tried to gasp for a breath. "What's happening? What's-are you okay? Can you breath?"

He tapped her harshly to try and say he was okay. Alexa sat him up and rubbed him on the back, sighing in relief as he took a breath. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and hugged him in relief, kissing the back of his head. "Are you okay?"

"I'm okay." he rubbed his chest with a cough. "We have to finish this."

"Yeah." she agreed but was still flooded with relief he'd been okay, standing up and helping him up.

Robbys face fell as he looked behind her. "Lex, side kick!"

His hands grasped her forearms tightly, swinging her legs off the floor. She followed his instructions on the side kick, raising her leg when she was in the air. As Robby spun her, her foot collided right with the Cobra Kais face. It wasn't enough to take him out, but it was enough to get a reaction from him. Robby kicked him in the chest when he stumbled, Alexa did as well as he dropped to the ground. Robbys hand grabbed his shirt to pull him up, letting Alexa punch him in the nose before he was dropped back to the ground.

"Alexa!" Eli ran down the stairs with Demetri. "We got it!"

"You got it?" her eyes widened, looking to Miguel not too far away.

"Okay. Here we go." he encouraged quickly, but the pair were attacked from behind, hitting the ground and causing the laptop to go flying across the floor, landing at Anthony's feet.

"Get him!" Kenny yelled, Alexa lunged at Kenny, yanking him around. He head butted her quickly, something she didn't expect before he punched her right in the chest. "I didn't want to do that, Alexa."

She never knew what it was like to not be able to breath until right then and there.

"Lex." Eli and Demetri ran to her after Robby had missed the whole thing. She fell back, clutching her chest and opening her mouth for a breath.

"Protect the egg!" Miguel yelled out as they started to swarm .

Robby then noticed. "Alexa!"

"I can't-" she tried to talk as Eli sat her up.

"Hold it for a second." Demetri encouraged.

"What? Without them?" Kenny mocked the group that swarmed Anthony. "You're gonna choose him over her, too?"

Alexa grabbed Demetri and Eli's arm as they yanked her up, her foot kicking Kenny. He didn't expect her to recover to fast, the help of the boys had her higher then ever. Kenny swung around just as fast and tried to kick toward her face, Alexa ducked down and dove upwards so one leg was over her shoulder. As she hit the ground, she did a front roll over his body. Robby reached down and pulled her to her feet to join the guard around Anthony.

"Ais!" Kenny hollered out when they stood, sending them into a fight again but staying protecting the egg.

Alexa kicked Kyler away from her, grabbing his face and slamming it down onto her knee five times out of nothing but anger before tossing him back.

"Ninety-Five!" Anthony yelled as he held the laptop.

Miyagi-Fang was getting shoved closer and closer together in the middle of the fighting. Kenny noticed it first. "They're trapped. Don't let them out."

The fighting only got once when Cobra Kai realized they had the advantage.

"All right! All right! Knock it off!" Daniel started to push his way through the teens.

The large tv on the wall chimed, making them all look up to see the security footage playing from the youtube channel. It was of Silver and the back of Tory. "Nichols. What's on your mind? Excited to take things to the next level?"

"What's the point?" Tory asked. Robby checked on Alexa now that he had the chance to, knowing how it felt. He rubbed her heart and showed her breathing techniques he developed through Miyagi-Do. "You'll just pay to make me champion again."

"So you know about the ref." he nodded slightly. "Have you told anyone else?"

"Not yet." Tory spoke in return. "So you don't deny it?"

"Not at all." Silver said in return, his students all gapped and weakened at the words. Alexa leaned against Robby as he rubbed her shoulders. "I paid him off to make sure Cobra Kai won. It was an insurance policy. You still won the fight."

"Did I?" Tory asked.

"That's it?" Silver asked as he walked into the dojo, blood on his face like he'd been in a fight. "That was your big plan, LaRusso? Breaking into my dojo to steal some footage that changes nothing?"

"It wasn't his plan." Tory walked forward as all the students spread apart. She looked back at Robby and Alexa. "It was ours."

"And it changes everything." Robby confirmed as he walked forward.

Alexa took his side, looking back at Anthony. "Is it there?"

He knew what she was talking about, playing the clip of him and Kenny. More chatter spread as Alexa stared at Silver. "You can't control me. Not anymore. Not now."

"Our enemies..." Silver turned back to the other Cobra Kais. "-think they can keep attacking us with no repercussions. And what does the enemy deserve?"

It was quiet as he gapped in disbelief. "You think i'm the only one willing to go to these lengths? Their senseis broke into my home tonight. My home! Attacked me, unprovoked. But here I am. The only one left standing. They think they're entitled to victory because their way is "right" and our way is "wrong." But that's not how it works. There are no morals to the story, no happy endings. Life isn't a fairy tale! It's a competitive sport! Right and wrong, there's no such thing. There are only winners...and losers. Cobra Kai builds winners because we're willing to do whatever it takes to come out on top. "

Daniel walked forward as Silver focused fully on him. "Everything you did to try and stop me amounted to nothing but pain. You got your ass kicked, Danny-boy. Now, you can either accept that...or I can kick it again right now."

Amanda walked forward. "We're all with you, Daniel. Do what you have to do."

Alexa pulled Robby back from the scene as They started to circle each other. "First, I took care of Chozen. Now you. This is where Miyagi-Do ends."

"Miyagi-Do existed before any of us. It'll be around long after we're gone." Daniel said back calmly . "The roots are strong, so the tree will survive."

Terry swung at him three times, all of which Daniel blocked. Terry kicked over his head, but Daniel ducked to dodge it before giving him a hard kick so he'd hit the ground. He got up nearly immediately and circled him one more time. Silver swung twice, then kicked, but Daniel used his forearms to keep him from actually hitting. He caught his arm, holding onto it as he ducked under and kneeled him hard in the face before shoving him down to the ground, his arm bent like he was going to break it.

Terry swung his fist, but Daniels knee came up and stopped him before punching him right in the face, knocking him down again. He got up again, not as fast, but again. He swung again, then kicked, but had them blocked. Daniel used his tactics against him, punching him right in the chest to knock the wind out of him as Silver fell back and coughed. He grasped onto him, but Daniel used the crane move to kick him in the face and into the trophy's, glass clattering under him.

"Yes." Alexa whispered under her breath, wrapping an arm around both Tory and Robby as the Cobra Kais began to ditch their merch onto Silver and the others congratulating Daniel. "Let's get the fuck out of here."

"Don't have to tell me twice." Tory laugh.

"Hey." Robby walked up to Alexa as she waited for him near the ambulance. "Sorry, I was talking to the police."

"It's okay." she promised him with a small smile. "How's your breathing?"

"Getting there." he nodded. "You?"

"Kinda sore, but getting there." she agreed as they both looked to Kenny. "I still love that kid."

"I do too." Robby nodded. "He'll come to us. When he's ready. We're how it started for him, we're how it's gonna end."

"Some parents." Alexa gave a laugh as Robby smiled. "Isn't the first one suppose to be just so great?"

"I don't know. You're the second, and I think you're pretty great." he pulled her in by the waist more. "You gorgeous little sewer rat."

"I hate you." Alexa laughed in disbelief as she cupped his face and kissed him on the mouth.

"You do not." Robby mumbled against her lips before they parted. "Can't belive we won't be able to solve any more crimes together."

"I'm sure a few will come up sooner or later." she shrugged her shoulders. "Keep the relationship spicy, you know?"

Robby smiled as he pulled her in closer, leaning against her head. "I didn't know you wore glasses and got shoved in lockers."

"Oh, yeah. The definition of nerdy-bitch starter pack." Alexa laughed as she wrapped her arms around him, her hands rubbing his back. "You would have not liked me back then."

"Yes, I would have." Robby corrected her immediately, his arms tightening around her shoulders. "I'd love you either way."

for my cobra kai books for s5.
i had such a fun time writing for
alexa again and being able to get deeper into her character as well as talking to you guys again. i'll miss it but i'm so satisfied with the ending, until s6 my little babies. thank you for everything.
