To Hawk: congratulations.
From Hawk: thanks lex.

"Did Tory not come?" Alexa asked, looking up from her phone, and seeing everyone around the diner aside her.

"Probably making a victor lap." Robby slide in actoss from her, the chocolate milkshake between the two. "She'll turn up soon."

"I'm really glad she won." Alexa hummed as Robby stuck the straws into the tall glass. "You'll get em next year, babe."

"Babe." Robby mocked her with a cheeky grin. "That's a new one. I figured we were still stuck in the barley friends stage."

Alexa gapped at him in disbelief as he started to laugh. "Really?"

Robby laughed at her, Alexa shooting the paper straw at his face. Robby nodded. "I love it."

"Well, i'm never gonna say it again, so.." Alexa rolled her eyes as Robby continued to laugh at her. "Seriously though. Next years All Valley? It's gonna be fantastic. As soon as I learn how to do one of those spinning roundhouse kicks, i've got it in the bag."

"I know you do." Robby smiled over as her with a nod. "I saw you. In the hallway."

Alexas face fell slightly. "You did?"

"From a distance. I saw my dad." Robby spoke with a nod, eyeing her. "That was really big of you, and what you did for Sam."

Alexa shrugged. "I guess I just miss when I didn't hate everyone right away."

"I get that." Robby nodded his head at her, his hand held hers across the table. "A lot, actually."

Alexa scanned his face over. "Your dad?"

"I think I need to talk to him." Robby sighed, and her hand squeezed his, her thumb across the top of his hand. "Do you think it's a good idea?"

"I think so. You know, Terry says you don't need him, and maybe that's true, but it shouldn't be that way." she stared back at him, her hair pushed behind her ears. "You shouldn't have to hate your dad. And they shouldn't be encouraging it either. You have a right to be angry, of course you do. But old ass men, that just want revenge, shouldn't be telling you that."

Robby blinked, his eyes found hers again. "What about your dad?"

"Terry doesn't know my dad." Alexa shook her head, and her eyes directed away from him.

"I mean, what happened with him?" Robby asked, because he felt like they'd broken through enough to talk about it now. "He's back in Texas?"

"Yeah, we use to all live there." Alexa shook her head, Robby rubbed her hand softly. "But, he was really bad off in drinking and he'd get really mad as me sometimes. When Ty got old enough, we left, and moved here. Mom came and go, but she never stayed long."

Robby hesitated. "Did he hurt you?"

Alexa locked eyes, and he swore she was about to throw the milkshake in his face. "Sometimes. But, it paid off I guess."

Robby looked in confused, Alexa nodded. "The head against the glass thing I always do? I learned that from him. I did that the first day of Cobra Kai, one of the guys was messing with Demetri and I got so mad and just did it. Your dad saw...and that's how I earned my spot."

"Lex." Robby looked concerned suddenly, squeezed her hand. "You could have told me."

"I just wasn't ready to talk about any of it. If was a long time ago, we moved here when I was fourteen." Alexa shook her head, talking about something she never did three years later. "But, i'm started to realize that you kinda push me to be ready for things I didn't know I was ready for."

Robby nodded. "Is that a good thing?"

"It's the best thing." she gave a serious look. "I think you're helping me grow as a person. Especially now."

"Now?" Robby looked in questioning.

"Now that I can remember who I was, before all of this." Alexa nodded his way. "I just want to work back to that. And I think you can help me get there, even if it's clearly gonna take a while."

"Always." Robby nodded his head. "There's something I need to tell you though."

"Shoot." Alexa nodded.

"I heard your mom talking to your dad." Robby said, and Alexa's eyebrows frowned together. "I wanted to tell you, but I didn't want to ruin the All Valley for you."

"Wh-" Alexa began, she gave a nervous laugh. "I think you heard wrong."

"She was talking about you and Ty. It sounded like she was talking like you were their kid." Robby shook his head as Alexa blinked. "She said you guys were staying in Reseda. I knocked the phone out of her hand."

"There's no way it was my dad." Alexa looked in worry. "Robby, my dad died last year."

Robby blinked, tilting his head in shock. "Do you have any clue who your mom might have been talking to?"

"What did she say exactly?" Alexa leaned forward, her heart was pounding.

"When I walked out there she said 'I miss you.' and then a second passed and said said 'Alexa and Ty miss you. They need you in their life.' That's why I assumed it was your dad." he shook his head over at her. "She said 'We're in Reseda.' and I hurried to knock the phone out of her hand."

Alexa thought extremely hard, and Robby gave a worried look. "Do you have any idea?"

"None." Alexa met his eye, blinking. "But, i'm willing to figure it out before they show up. If you be my partner."

"I prefer the term boyfriend but-" Robby joked her way, making Alexa smile and look away. "-i'll help you. Always."

"Okay." she smiled at him. "My boyfriend in crime."

"Cheese." Robby laughed her way. "I love it."

Leaned in, they both took a sip of the milkshake the two straws were stuck in.
