"What were you thinking, huh? Doing that?" Terry was laying into Alexa harshly after dragging her by the arm to the hallway. "You made yourself look weak. You made the team look like a joke!"
"I'm sorry!" she snapped in anger. "I just got worried!"
"Worried about what? That your enemy was hurt?" Terry looked down at her in disbelief, waving his arms around like she was an idiot. "You let your emotions get the best of you, again. Why else do you think you didn't make it long out there?"
"I made a mistake." Alexa stated as she stared up at him. "It won't happen again."
"Better not." he spoke to her sternly, a nod of his head. "Get out of here. I'm sick of looking at you."
Alexa walked down the hallway while he headed back in, rounding the corner and stopping as she saw Miguel leaning on the door. She was gonna walk before he spoke up. "Hey."
Alexa eyed him, and he seemed to be standing fine. "So, you didn't get your back blown out again?"
Miguel shook his head. "Not this time. Hoping I don't jinx it."
Alexa didn't really know what to say. After what she just did, she was embarrassed and felt like a disgrace to Cobra Kai. Now, here she was, talking casually with the enemy. Miguel was always better at talking then she was though. "You did pretty good out there."
"What? When I got eliminated?" she crossed her arms in disbelief. "Yeah, fantastic."
Miguel gave a tired shrug. "Do you actually care?"
"What? Of course I care." she shot back in disbelief. "What are you even talking about?"
"It just seems like you care more about Devon using your moves more then you do winning." Miguel spoke from the heart, because there wasn't any point in holding back right now. "Like you're just proving to Sensei that it doesn't bother you."
"Well, it doesn't." she spoke defensively, shaking her head. "Didn't even notice."
Miguel nodded his head, and Alexa was going to walk away when he spoke up again. "Lexi?"
She turned around, looking back at him with a shrug. "What?"
Miguel shook his head. "Just remember who you are."
"Everyone keeps saying that to me." Alexa took a breath, and she gave a tight lipped smile. "Don't really know what it means."
"You will." he promised her.
Alexa stared a second. "I'm glad you're okay."
She turned around and walking away. She walked back into the All Valley, catching sight at Demetri and Robby fighting it out. Alexa stayed by the entrance for a second, because she didn't want to handle what Cobra Kai would say to her yet.
Robby got Demetri in the chest, ducking down to do so, winning the point. Demetri was hurrying toward Daniel while Robby walked back over, green eyes immediately scanning over the crowd of Cobra Kai's for any sight of Alexa. He found her at the door, giving a questionable look, nodding her way to see if she was okay. Alexa nodded back, but stayed put.
"On your marks!" the ref called for the two, Robby turned his way easily, clearly not thinking this one was difficult. Alexa tilted her head to watch carefully, her eyes going back and forth between the two. "And fight!"
Demetri shoved Robbys kick away, blocking his fist, kicking forward and getting him good. "That's a block. No point."
Robby swung at him again, Demetri using his high ground to his advantage, shoving Robby down on the mat, but missing the punch to his chest. He made a come on motion at Robby, having the Keene boy swing at him twice, Demetri doing the same as Robby ducked down, sliding across the ground and knocking Demetris feet out from underneath him, a kick to the chest. "Point! Winner."
The orange light of the buzzer blinked over Alexa's head, making her light up a bright orange every other second. Robby got off the mat, ignoring the joyed claps on the back as he pushed through his team. He was heading for Alexa, the closer he got, he started to radiate an orange glow over him too.
"I'd congratulate you b-" she began, stopping as his hands were on her face and pulling her into an immediate kiss. Alexa's eyes widened in shock, taken back, but melting away at it, orange still flashing as she shut her eyes. Robby huffed when she gave a harsh pull to his waist, kissing her deeper for a moment longer as wolf howls echoed through the crowd and all from Cobra Kai, making it extremely obvious.
Robby pulled back with a joking grin. "That was The Spitting Cobra Alexa."
Alexa shoved his head with a laugh. "Get outta here."
Robby grinned, pulling her with him as they headed back to the team together. No one was gonna criticize her if he was there, holding her under his arm the way he had been.
"Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do are neck-and-neck on the leaderboard. But there's a dark horse...or should I say dark bird...that still has a chance." Daryl called over the mic as he stood in the center of the mat, waving toward the ones in red. "Will Eagle Fang Karate stay alive in our dojo race? We're about to find out. Miguel Diaz has one minute to return to the mat!"
A count down was put on the screen, having them all watch. Hawk stood slightly awkward on the mat, looking back at Daniel every now and then. They were all looking around, Alexa's eyes traveling over Robby's arm to look toward the door, searching for any sight of Miguel. The crowd started to count down the final ten seconds, the buzzer going off and granting Hawk the winner, Miguel absent. "Well, it looks like Miguel Diaz is not gonna fight. Which means that the winner by default is Eli Moskowitz, who advances to the final where he will face Robby Keene. The finals are up next."
Robbys arm tightened around Alexa slightly. She nodded, looking over at him. "You ready?"
He found her face, nodding his head. "Extremely."
"Just..."Alexa trialed off, looking for the words as she tight lipped smiled. "Do your best."
Robby gave a small smile, kissing the top of her head before removing his arm from around her as Daryl started to speak. "Ladies and gentlemen, the wait is finally over. It's finals time! Since Cobra Kai scored the most points, they only need to win one match to be crowned Grand Champion. But, if Miyagi-Do wins both matches, the title is theirs! Ooh, high drama! Up first, the boys fight! Good luck to all of our fighters!"
"Time to show LaRusso and your father that you don't need them. You're strong enough on your own." Terry spoke down to Robby as he looked over, nodding his head and walking into the mat, Eli joining him.
The two bowed to the ref, then once again to each other. "Ready and fight!"
Robby kicked first, Hawk following as he threw a punch, Robby sneaking his hand up to hit him in the chest. Alexa cheered for him, clapping her hands together. "Point! One-zero, Keene."
"Let's go, baby!" Robby cheered, bouncing back on his mark. Hawk called a quick time out, annoying Robby and Terry as he ran over toward Daniel. Alexa watched the back of his head when he talked, too turned to read his lips from where she was. He came back a few seconds later, Robby already waiting for him. "Ready? And fight!"
Hawk kicked him first, stepping side ways to block his punches, spinning around and sending his own. Robby had blocked them well, high stepping to avoid his feet being kicked from under him. Hawk sent a kick his way, his ankle caught and shoved away. Like he did with Miguel, they both jumped on sync and kicked each other, but it was clear Hawk had him first. "Point, Miyagi-Do!"
"Woo! Go, Eli!" Moon called from the crowd. Alexa looked over, her eyes turning back to the mat as her nose gave a twitch. Something about it made her mad. She never had a problem with Moon, she didn't even have a problem with her now. What bothered her was the fact that Moon was not always how she was now, just a year ago she was making fun of him and now redeemed herself. Alexa didn't care about that, she cared because apart of her filled with jealousy for Moons development. But, she wasn't gonna admit it.
"You've got this, Robby!" Alexa encouraged him with a clap of her hands, the two taking their marks again before announced to fight. Hawk ran forward, kicking off his leg in a twist, Robby latching onto it and tossing him back against the mat, sending his fist down before Hawk rolled out of the way.
They stood up again, both sending a kick in the other's direction, blocking each other. Hawk kicked around, swinging on his legs and kicking Robby down onto the mat. "No point. Blocked."
Alexa watched Robby punch his way, Hawk leaning back to dodge it. Alexa frowned her eyebrows as she watched him pull a circular motion with his hands, keeping Robby blocked. "Oh!"
Robby latched onto his body, yanking him back on the mat as their feet pushed at each other, rolling rather apart. Robby's gi was loosening, trying to kick Hawk as he blocked it in return. He did it again, Hawk ducking under his arm as Robby tried to punch forward, running too fast as the force of the motion pulled him backwards, farther away.
Hawk kicked at his waist, having it blocked, doing the same with his punches before Robby shoved him harshly, kicking off his left leg and sending the right into his blocked hands. Hawk kicked at him, Robby jumping backwards to avoid it. His hand had hold of him, yanking harshly to have Hawk against it, only for it to backfire and the Miyagi-Do to flip him over his back, onto the mat.
The buzzer sounded loudly above them, the ref hurrying them back to their senseis. Alexa took a breath, rubbing her eyes as Daryl got over the mic again. "Unbelievable! These two amazing competitors have reached their three-minute time limit in a one-one tie! Which means their championship match will he decided, for the first time since 1985, by sudden-death overtime!"
The crowd went absolutely insane, Robby and Hawk bowing to each other before heading back over to their dojos.
