"Well done." Kreese spoke later that evening, looking over the five as they stood in the training room, before him. "I'm impressed. You showed fearlessness, leadership. And those are the qualities you need to be a champion."

He grabbed Robbys shoulder. "Good job. You're what Cobra Kai has been looking for."

Kreese looked back at the line of students. "Do you see what you can accomplish when you work together? Alliances are important. For us and our enemy. Because you better believe that they are making alliances too."

"What alliances?" Tory spoke up.

"Oh, you didn't hear?" Kreese pretended to be shocked. Alexa adjusted her stance, licking her teeth as she listened to whatever he was about to lay on them. "Diaz and that LaRusso girl, yeah, they're working together. Yeah, they helped save the All Valley. They gave quite a speech. They make a pretty good team."

"We can be better." Alexa held her head up higher as Kreese looked her way.

"You can." he confirmed with a point between them. "Well, it's getting late. Dismissed."

Tory stormed out, leaving Alexa with the remaining boys. She grasped her bag, pulling it toward her shoulder as Robby looked awkward around. "Bet you're thrilled. Your little girlfriend is back working with her ex? That's gonna dig deep."

"Not my problem." Robby shrugged, trying to hide the way it bothered him. "I heard you need to pass your chemistry class."

She rolled her eyes. "Now your eavesdropping?"

"You talk kinda loud." he shrugged, leaning on the wall as she stood infront of him.

Alexa huffed, nodding. "I need to pass that to at least get it behind me. Then I have to focus on the other classes so I can actually graduate next year and get the hell outta Reseda."

Robby held his head up a little higher. "I had A's and B's when I was still in school."

"Congratulations." Alexa said bitterly. "Wanna rub it in my face a little bit more?"

"That's not what I meant." he cracked a grin at her, oddly finding her easily heated attitude comical. "I mean I can help you."

"I'm not a pussy, I don't need a tutor." she shot back defensively. She didn't think having a tutor made you a pussy, but she'd had it said to her too many times to not have it branded into her head. "Especially not from you."

"That's fine." Robby said as she stormed past him. "Hate to see you repeat junior year because you fail yourtest and can't get the rest of your grades up in time."

Alexa paused at the door, her tongue running across her teeth as she turned on her heels. "You mocking me now?"

"Not mocking." Robby shoved his hands into his pockets.

"What do you want in return?" she crossed her arms over her chest with a daring look. "I clearly know you aren't gonna do it for free. I've got no money to give."

"Not money." Robby shook his head, walking to stand infront of her some more. "Heard you have a pull out mattress."

Alexa laughed slightly. "You wanna sleep on my floor? What? Mommy doesn't want you home?"

"Don't really wanna go home." he said in return with a minor shrug.

Alexa frowned, blinking a second as she nodded. "Yeah, I get that."

"You need to graduate. I need a place to stay. Not forever, just until I can figure something out." Robby promised her, holding his bag hopefully in his arms. "And i'll make sure you get your grades up, if I don't, you can kick me out."

Alexa huffed. "You're gonna have to sneak in."

Robby nodded. "Fine by me."

"Dude, it's not making any sense." Alexa huffed that night, sat in her little bedroom at the apartment complex, Robby sat infront of her on the floor. "You're no help."

"I am help, you just aren't listening." he pointed out to her, flipping the flash card around. "Look at the underlined words again."

Alexa took the card, shrugging. "How am I suppose to remember to associate the Magnetic Field with sea animals?"

Robby crossed his legs. "Okay, well, you know what the magnetic field is, right?"

Alexa nodded.

"So, what's your favorite sea animal?" Robby shrugged in return.

"What?" she looked in disbelief, only getting a shrug in return. "Maybe a squid."

"So, you're the squid." he gave her a point. "What's your magnetic field?"

Alexa looked in pure confusion. "You're making this worse."

He cracked a grin. "Some sea animals can sense the magnetic field, and it helps them use it as a sense of navigation. So, you're the squid, what helps you sense navigation?"

Alexa blinked, thinking deeply. "Cobra Kai."

Robby rose his eyebrows. "Cobra Kai is your magnetic field?"

"Yeah." Alexa shrugged in return. "Whenever i'm feeling lost, like, in my head, I know I have somewhere to go. Sensei Kreese protects me, he's helped me out a lot. The dojo, all of it, it helps me find my way again."

Robby cracked a small smile. "See."

"See what?" she asked in return.

He pointed the card at her. "Now you're gonna know sea animals, like squids, sense the magnetic field to find their way, like you do Cobra Kai."

Alexa didn't want to smile, rolling her eyes slightly as her lips turned up. "Whatever."

"Mhm." Robby grinned, stacking the cards up again. "We'll find a way to remember the rest."

Alexa took the cards, placing them on the small table as she got to her feet. Robby stood in the corner as she kneeled, pulling the twin sized mattress from under her bed. The sheets were the same color as hers, a light orange. She leaned over her bed to grab one of her pillows, tossing it his way. "You get cold or hot at night?"

"Uh, cold." he answered, placing her pillow on the mattress. He got a smell off it, a scent like peaches and vanilla.

"Me too." Alexa agreed, coming back from her closet with a heavy blanket. "If you need to pee in the middle of the night, just poke your head out the door. My brother is usually out really earlier and leaves before I get up for school, so you should be fine. Just always lock the door back."

"Got it." Robby nodded, taking the blanket. "Thanks for letting me stay here."

"Well, better be worth it." she said in return, crawling into her bed, that was about three feet above the floor. "You scared of the dark?"

"No." Robby said back.

"What about a fan? Do you need to sleep with a fan?" she asked him in return.

"No, i'm not picky." he answered her.

Alexa looked hesitant. "Would it bother you if there was rain?"

Robby couldn't help but laugh slightly. "No, rains fine."

Alexa cracked a grin, nodding her head. "It goes off after two hours, so."

"Rains kinda a upgrade from all the noises at juvie." Robby had to remark with a small tilt of his head. "You could play zoo noises and i'd sleep fine."

Alexa looked down at him, raising her eyebrows. "Not really a big fan of monkey noises when trying to sleep."

Robby nodded. "Understandable."

She flipped her light off, the sheets rustling as they both got comfortable on their different mattresses. Alexa pushed her phone to the side, letting the rain sound play. Not long passed before there was a ding from her phone. Robby was close to being asleep before he rolled over, seeing her grasp her phone. "Shit."

"Everything okay?" he asked, wincing as she flipping the lamp back on. "Alexa?"

"I was just invited to a christmas party." she turned his way.
