Having a crush on the most popular guy in university, Jimin thinks he has no chance anyway of getting to know him.

Little does he know that things are going to change soon.

Warning
Involves stuttering

🌷🌷🌷

The wind brushes softly over his exposed skin, sending shivers down the spine. His scarf is wrapped around his neck and a steaming cup of coffee in the right hand as he leaves the house.

Normally the spring follows after the winter yet it's pretty chilly outside and it shouldn't get any warmer soon. Streets are packed with traffic and people walk to their schools or companies.

Jimin's day starts with an almost normal Monday morning, hadn't he overslept. It's the same as usual to have a 15-minute way to the University, but somehow his alarm didn't ring and there was no trace of his roommate, so-called Taehyung. So Jimin had to manage to get ready quickly, including eating breakfast within 10 minutes.

Jimin pants heavily and his hands on his legs to support him as he stands in front of the building. He takes a look at his phone '8:51 am' and is surprised and proud of himself, that he managed to get there in 7 minutes. No matter how he had to drink his coffee fast, when he waited at traffic lights for showing green or how he had to avoid running into a bike to avoid being hit - he did it in 7 minutes.

The campus has been decorated with beautiful flowers in different colours and he can't help it to look closer at them. Since he was a kid, he had a respect for flowers and always cared for them. Making his room sometimes more or less looking like a flower paradise - the reason why he was called 'blossom kid' or sometimes even 'mochi' within the family for his cuteness.

Jimin is deep in his thought as suddenly someone lays a hand on his shoulder, "Don't you want to go inside? Your lesson starts soon."

Jimin turns around and gets up.

"Hey... roommate!..." He presses his lips together and holds in a sigh. Since this morning there was a question in his mind he wanted to ask the entire time. "Did you turn off my alarm this morning? Just be honest." It wouldn't be the first time he'd done it.

Once he slept until 10 am and missed the first lecture because his dear friend wanted to pull a prank on him, getting revenge for embarrassing Taehyung in front of his crush.

Taehyung's hand is still on his shoulder, putting slight pressure on it. His mouth forms into a soft smile "No, why? It didn't ring?"

Jimin tilts his head slightly to the right and snorts "Taehyung... Do you want to die?!"

"Yah, I was just kidding..."

Jimin pushes his hand away and slides his arm around Taehyung's neck "With what, huh? Be lucky that I got here on time. Where were you anyway?"

He tries to escape out of Jimin's grip, but fails and stops when he perceives something further away.

"Jimin, look there is your crush!"

Almost immediately, he lets Taehyung out of his grip and walks in front of Taehyung.

"Yah, Jungkook isn't my crush! I think you really want to die today," Jimin states and Taehyung's grin gets even bigger. "We will see about that later. First, we have to attend the lecture."

Honestly, Jimin has a tiny crush on Jungkook since he saw him the first time but would play it down in situations like this, thinking Jungkook doesn't even know him and Jimin doesn't know Jungkook besides how he looks and how beautiful his smile is when he sees him listening to music while he would observe sometimes the campus. Nevertheless, he cannot always hide this in front of Taehyung.

But, he isn't the only one who has a crush on him, more precisely the entire campus likes him. Jungkook is something like the star of the university. Jimin doesn't even know how he got that title besides for being handsome.

"Come on, hurry up!" Jimin pulls on Taehyung's sleeve. "You know how the lecturer is. We either get inside in time or we can't get inside anymore."

"Yes, yes I remember that," Taehyung rolls his eyes at him and starts walking faster.

Even if they can get in, there is still this one feeling missing or putting it differently, Jimin has the feeling something might happen today.

As they enter the room, they bow to the lecturer and look for vacant seats. There are still some left at the back for their luck, in most cases Jimin chooses to sit there, as he can concentrate better.

Just as he prepares everything and pulls the necessary things out of his bag, he hears someone next to him "May I sit here?" the student asks.

"Yes, sure," Jimin says without looking up to see who it is and puts his bag down.

"Damn it."

Jimin turns his head to the right and he blinks once. He blinks twice. But the same person is still there. He is sure, he must be still in bed, dreaming. There is no way Jungkook would sit next to him when there is still one seat available a few rows in the front.

Jungkook turns his face to Jimin, a soft smile displaying on his lips. "May I borrow a pencil from you?" Jimin, still in shock, doesn't realize at first that he is the one Jungkook speaks to until Taehyung gently nudges his elbow into his arm.

"Huh? Oh, sure," he searches in his case and finally gives him one.

Over the lesson, he can't concentrate properly because of someone next to him. It's the first time to be in Jungkook's near and it's kinda making him nervous.

Before everyone leaves for the lunch break, Jungkook turns around to Jimin and hands him the pencil with a friendly smile on his lips. "Thank you, for the pencil. I accidentally forgot my pencil case. Umm... I am Jungkook by the way."

Why is he telling me his name?, Jimin thinks, Basically everyone knows him on the campus.

"I- I am Jimin. An- And no wo-rries, it-t can happen." he tries to force a not awkward smile on his face, but fails when he meets Jungkook's eyes and notices the temperature is rising in his face. It's the first time he speaks to him and at this moment he had to stutter. Great. The first impression is the most important one, how could he stutter like that?

"Then I will see you around or... til the next lesson, I guess," he says before he turns around and heads to the door.

Jimin falls back on the seat immediately, taking a deep breath. "Come on, it wasn't that bad, was it? Finally, you got to talk to him. The rest is-" Taehyung takes note, but Jimin interrupts him.

"Nevertheless, I stuttered! He probably thinks I am awkward now," Jimin hides his face behind his hands, he doesn't want his roommate to see his red face.

"Jimin, that's your charm. That's what makes you cute. It's normal to be like this in front of a crush," he lays his arm on Jimin's shoulder. "Yeah, totally true," he murmurs sarcastically.

•••••

Jimin sits on his bed, listening to music as Taehyung knocks on his door lightly. "Come in," he sits up and takes out his earphones.

"Remember when we moved in and they said we had to leave the 3rd room free in case somebody moves in?"

He slowly nods, not sure where this is going to head.

"Soo..." Taehyung begins slowly, "They told me someone will move in, to the weekend. He is in our year."

Oh, another roommate? Additionally, he is in our year?

For the time being, Jimin developed theories of who it might be and how he might look like and also how his personality might be, yet all he came up with is, he hopes him to be friendly and maybe soon to be a new friend.

The day arrived quickly and both were pretty busy the last days with cleaning everything and not leaving something behind, which could be misinterpreted. Such as hoodies laying on the floor which could be a misunderstanding for dirty roommates who aren't cleaning.

•••••

"Oh- it might be him. Hurry up," Jimin says rushed as he takes a few hoodies into his arms. From one to another second someone knocks on the door again.

"Yeah yeah, I am done. I go and open the door. Take the rest to your room so we can sort it out later," Taehyung says, a bit annoyed and stumbles his way to the front door.

Jimin does like Taehyung said and brings the rest of the things in his room.

"Tae, did you show him already-" Jimin almost choked on his last words, as he can't believe what he's seeing. There in the entrance hall...no other than Jungkook in person is standing there, looking as handsome as always.

The silence is unbearable and probably also the fact that Jimin stands there frozen in his movements. "Jimin, you are staring."

"Huh? Uh- Um... Sor-ry. H-hi..." As much as he tries avoiding stuttering, he couldn't help it, at least not in front of Jungkook.

"Hi, nice to meet you again." Jungkook gives him a friendly smile showing his bunny teeth.

"I don't want to interrupt your... Whatever you two are doing but... I'd like to show you your room since I have an appointment later." Taehyung takes Jungkook's suitcases and leads him to the room, the boys following quickly.

"So... This is your room, next to Jimin's. I will get going then, let you get unpacked. If you need anything tell us."

Taehyung is ready to leave the room but turns around again, "Jimin... You too. Let him unpack."

The second Taehyung has spoken the last word, Jimin could have sworn to hear Jungkook chuckling.

"Yeah... Just t-tell us i-if you need s-someth-thing," And with that Jimin turns around and heads to his room.

•••••

Jimin just finished all his paperwork for the next few days as he hears his stomach growling for some food. He stands up and walks to the living room where Jungkooks sits on the sofa watching some TV series.

Walking closer, the last rays of the sun shining on his face and his hair, letting the hair look lightly golden.

Jimin can't be helped but just stay there until Junkook looks slightly to his left and notices Jimin staring in his direction.

"Is something wrong?" Jungkook asks kindly.

"Huh? Uh- N-No. Act-Actually, I w-was thinking of-f ma-making dinner. T-Taehyung w-won't be here un-until l-late. D-do you want m-me to cook s-something for you-u too?"

Jungkook's eyes light up at the word dinner and a bright smile is placed on his face. "I'd love to taste your cooking skills, but no seafood, please. I'm allergic to it."

"S-sure no problem."

He turns towards the kitchen yet catches an almost silent spoken word "cute". At first, he thinks he misunderstood, but Jungkook looks at the ground, blushing as he turns around.

"D-did y-you-u s-say something?" Jimin asks shyly, followed by Jungkook clearing his throat.

"No nothing."

Jimin looks at him like he doesn't really believe him but he is too shy to push it further and so he just goes to cook dinner.

He doesn't really know what he should make and starts by looking at what they have in the fridge.

'Alright, so there is some minced meat, some tomatoes, and some other things left. Guess I will make noodles with bolognese. I hope that he will like it.' Jimin thinks.

•••••

"Mhh~," Jungkook says with wide eyes, putting another fork with noodles in his mouth.

"It's really delicious."

Jimin bites his lips shortly to suppress a chuckle before replying, "T-Thanks I-I guess."

"Can I ask you something?" Jimin head shoots up.

"Y-yes."

Jungkook now laying his fork on the table and paying his entire attention to Jimin, "What are you studying in university?"

"Oh, um... d-dance," Jimin adverts Jungkook's eyes, fidging now with the hem of his jumper nervously before earning a cute giggle from Jungkook.

He has never heard such a cute sound from anyone and can't believe it was coming from Jungkook.

'Adorable.' Jimin mumbles in front of him but doesn't notice the blush on Jungkooks face. From one to another second he decides he wants to be the reason for his cute smiles.

"Oh, that's why I haven't really seen you around until recently," Jimin isn't sure but he thought for a moment to hear a slight disappointment in his voice and is surprised that Jungkook would take notice from other people around him, especially him.

Nevertheless, he doesn't want to look uninterested in this conversation and wants to ask him too although he already knew the answer, at least he thought so. "W-What are you s-studying?"

Jungkook is a bit taken back, probably not expecting to get asked that question. Normally everyone on the campus knows him and knows what he is studying as well. "Um... I was studying photography and film but I've changed my course recently to dance. So... I guess we will see each other a lot more then," a little smile graces his lips before he returns to the food.

That would mean that he won't be only in just one of his classes but rather be in all his courses.

•••••

With sweat on the forehead, Jimin wakes up in the night, throwing his thick blanket to the ground. It was currently 2:34 am and he couldn't sleep at all. He kept thinking about how things would turn out that he was now living with Jungkook.

He opens his eyes and stares at the stars on the wall. There was this time when he moved into the dorm that he missed his home, so he hung up stars which are slightly lightning in the night. Jimin thinks of it like they are kinda guiding him through his life, giving him hope or letting him not feel alone. Yes, its a bit stupid and yet it helps him through so many things sometimes.

He feels himself getting thirsty and stands up to go to the kitchen to get something to drink. When he enters the kitchen he can see Jungkook, standing at the fridge with a bottle of milk pressed to his lips.

Why does he have to be so handsome even in the middle of the night?!

"Oh- You are also awake?" Jungkook's voice pulls him out of his thoughts.

"You also couldn't sleep?" Jimin nods.

Little did he not know that Jungkook also couldn't sleep for the same reason as him.

Jungkook looks at Jimin for a moment before he hands him a glass filled with water. "T-Thank you-u."

Before Jimin takes a sip he looks up to Jungkook and blushes straight off as their eyes meet for the second time.

"Can I ask you something? Why are you always stuttering when you are with me?"

Jimin almost chokes on his drink.

"W-What?"

"There! See, you are doing it again."

"I d-don't -" Jimin looks with wide eyes at Jungkook, realizing what just came out of his mouth. Jimin is cursing his inner self for stuttering.

Thinking the best would be maybe to just get out of this, he drinks his water in 2 sips and places the glass on the counter. He feels too embarrassed to look at Jungkook again, so he simply turns around, leaving as fast as he can to get to his room. However, Jungkook grips his wrist and turns him around so that he loses his balance and bumps into his chest. Still having his hand on his wrist Jungkook leans down so that Jimin feels his breath on his ear.

"Why is it that you want to go so suddenly?" his voice is calm and soft, not like he expected it to be.

Jimin opens his eyes again and meets beautiful dark chocolate eyes looking straight at him, as if they looked right into his soul. For a second they just stare into each other's eyes, not wanting to move a centimetre. Jimin's heart can't help but start pounding faster than usual.

Tension fills up the room and increases to the point that Jimin commences blushing then turning away, wanting to go back to his room. Though, Jungkooks voice causes Jimin to stop in his tracks.

"Jimin? Let's watch a movie tomorrow or... later."

Somehow sounded more like a question.

Jimin just 'hums', not willing to turn around and face his beautiful eyes again before he allows himself to collapse on his bed, attempting to calm down his racing heart.

•••••

"What should I do?~ Jungkook said he wanted to watch a movie with me when he comes back from the gym. Please help me~" He whines while gently shaking Taehyungs' arm, pleading for help.

Jimin doesn't want to be alone with Jungkook. What if he does something embarrassing? After last night he isn't so sure anymore of his actions. His heart started racing like it never did before.

"No Jimin, I have a date with Yoongi later. Besides isn't that what you wanted, to be closer to him? Now you have the opportunity." He walks to his room.

Jimin doesn't want to be misunderstood. He did want to be closer to him and find out what everyone likes so much about him but he didn't mean to happen this all too soon.

Before Jimin can respond, the apartment door opens and Jungkook places two bags on the kitchen counter.

"What are you two talking about?" Jungkook puts down his keys and hangs up his jacket.

"Oh, nothing important. I have to go now, Yoongi is waiting downstairs. Have a nice time you two," Taehyung grins and swings the door closed.

Jimin's gaze shifts to Jungkook who puts the things into the fridge. He then opens a bag of popcorn and puts it into a bowl before he plops down next to Jimin on the sofa.

"What movie do you want to watch?"

It was just a simple question but Jimin's heart jumps in a matter of 3 seconds. No matter how this will end he will probably curse himself for getting himself that attached.

"Oh- U-Um..." he gulps, in an attempt to get the big lump down which has built in his throat. "What k-kind o-of movie d-do you-u li-like?"

"I watch any kind of movie, so don't worry. Just pick the one you'd like to watch." He grabs in the bowl, putting popcorn in his mouth.

"Um- I- I have something but i-it's not a movie and it's a bit weird t-to ask." Jungkook turns to him with wide eyes, waiting patiently for his answer. When no answer follows Jungkook attempts to ask what is it that worries him but Jimin hides his face behind his sweater paws, "It's- do you w-watch BL things? It's just t-that there is a mini-series I like. I-If you d-don't want to just forget I asked. It-t was dumb-b to ask that."

Jungkook hesitates but decides, in the end, to remove Jimin's hands from his face, taking them in his own hands. A smile hushes over Jimin's lips the moment he looks up at Jungkook and then looks down in embarrassment. "Hey... Look at me," he takes Jimin's chin between his thumb and his index finger, lifting it.

"I haven't watched anything like that before but that doesn't mean that I won't like it. So... let's give it a try." Jimin's eyes widen in surprise, "R-really?! You're n-not joking?" Jungkook smiles brightly.

"No."

Instantly, Jimin picks up the remote control from the coffee table and types in a series called HiStory 2 - Crossing the line. He leans back at the sofa, letting the first episode enrol.

Eventually, after watching the first two episodes Jungkook admits that he likes the series and wants to see how it continues - ending up with watching until the very last minute.

"Honestly, I am really surprised by this series. I really enjoyed watching it, also their chemistry was really good. There is just one thing I am disappointed with, why was it this short?!" Jimin has to suppress a giggle. It's just too cute for him to see Jungkook actually liking his favourite series.

••••

"Guys, as for today we will do a partner exercise once again," the teacher instructs. "I will give you a few minutes to find a partner. If you find one, come up to me and tell me the partner's name," Jimin looks around and spots Jungkook sitting near a wall, around him many girls asking him if he will be their partner.

"Go up to him," Taehyung nudges Jimin into his side. "Maybe he would consider you, you know... since you are his roommate." Jimin doesn't miss the grin in his voice.

"I am sure he has already found someone and is now declining the others," Taehyung lets out a long sigh, then wrapping his arm around Jimin's shoulder. "How can you be so sure, hm? Look, no one sits beside him. I think you should give it a try."

Jimin takes Taehyung's arm from his shoulder, "And I am sure he already has a partner. He is really popular in this school. Where is your partner anyway?" Distracting and changing the topic is one possibility to get off the hook from Taehyung. He would annoy him, more like talking into him to the point that Jimin would always do what he is too shy to do unless some distraction encounters.

For this time the reason is simple and stupid equal. Jimin isn't the type who would just swallow a 'no', especially not from his crush. There would always follow consequences such as thinking he isn't good enough or worth it reaching to where he would cry in his bed and Taehyung bringing him ice cream. All in one you could say he is a very sensitive boy. So he definitely won't just go to Jungkook and ask him.

"My partner is Yoongi," he says, smiling brightly from ear to ear.

"Oh- Did you force him or do you just assume that he has no other choice than to be with you since he's not here right now."

"No. What-? No! You little brat. What are you talking about? I didn't force him to anything." He says, earning a frown from him.

"Ah, okay. Then it was probably just you asking him with puppy eyes until he said yes." Just as Taehyung wants to respond the teacher speaks up.

"So I have many partners already but not everyone has one on my list. Let's see... We still have... Jungkook." Everyone's gaze follows the teachers, finally looking at him. "Have you found a partner? Otherwise, I can-"

"Jimin," he interrupts the teacher and looks at Jimin, putting his heart in a frenzy.

Jungkook could swear he is now even more nervous than he was in the audition for dance. It is a fifty-fifty chance that Jimin says yes and he hopes for nothing else. He was a bit disappointed when he saw Jimin's eyes lingering on him while he declined one girl after another. It wasn't that they weren't good enough in dancing, it was just that he had only one person in mind he would like to partner up with and that someone was no other than the blonde boy sitting not less than 5 feet away from him.

Jimin's head shoots up as he mentions his name, looking and blushing at the scene in front of him. The teacher, as well as Jungkook and the rest of the class, have their eyes on him. Jimin wasn't expecting Jungkook to ask him.

"O- Okay," Jimin looks down immediately, blushing again at the giggles and whispers from his classmates.

"Taehyung, you are also on my list who doesn't have a partner yet." She taps her pencil against the board. "No worries here. I partner up with Yoongi," she nods and writes it down.

"So, for this project, you have basically three weeks to think of a choreography and to practice it with your partner. I know it's less time than the last project. Nevertheless, it will be given a mark for that. About the concept, I leave you to choose what kind of song and what kind of choreography you want to create or use. We start in this lesson, so go to your partner and start working please."

Only three weeks? There really is not much time to think of choreography. Last time they were given a period of about five weeks. Jimin would have to practice now almost or even every day and also he would have to speak to him more often.

Honestly spoken he was really surprised when he moved in and Jungkook wanted to watch a movie. Jimin always thought he was really handsome and that being popular would make him arrogant but how Jungkook talked to him made him baffled and made him think otherwise.

"Get up," Taehyung gives Jimin a little push. "Go to your partner. Oh- no actually you don't have to. He is on his way here."

"What-"

"Then, goodbye my friend. We will talk later." Jimin doesn't even have time to complain when Jungkook settles down next to him.

"Hey," Jungkook greets him.

"H-hey," the smaller responds, receiving a chuckle from Jungkook back.

"So why m-me?" Jimin swallows the end of the question which lets Jungkook ask.

"Why what?"

"W-why me?" Jimin stares into Jungkook's eyes, being sure he could get lost in them. A beautiful smile forms on his lips.

"I could ask you the same question. I thought it would be nice to dance with someone I already know."

"B-but there were other students asking you. Y-you could have j-just ask one of them."

Jungkook's eyes sink to the ground before they meet Jimin once again. "What if I told you I didn't want to partner up with anyone else but you?" Instantly Jimin blushes and hides his face in his hands. "There's n-nothing special about me."

Oh hell, there is. Jungkook would have told him from the first time he saw him but he isn't the type who would just simply walk to him and tell him that. And the fact got only confirmed the closer he got over the 2 days with him.

"Don't say that. Everyone is special and has something they can be proud of. So, I am sure you also have something special, hidden beneath those cute smiles."

Jimin finds himself slowly getting interested in Jungkook, more than it's being just a crush. Those bunny smiles and those sweet things that made his heart flutter easily...

All he can hope for is that Jungkook shows his true personality and not only pretending due to his popularity. Especially because everything still seems unreal and like a dream to him.

"Anyway. What kind of music would you like to dance to?" Jungkook asks, causing Jimin to flinch.

"Oh- Um... Some- something more like pop and c-contemporary."

Jungkook agrees with it and both decide in the end they go for the song without me by Halsey and tried already some movements which could possibly fit the best.

•••••

One week is easily filled by dancing every evening, perfecting every move and changing something if it doesn't fit. Both couldn't stop taking glances at the other.

"Jimin, borrow me your charger, please. I want to watch a movie on my phone," Taehyung whines, giving him doe eyes.

"Where did you place yours again?" Jimin asks annoyed but earns nothing more than another, please. It's not the first time he asks for a charger. "Ugh fine. Just... give me a moment."

He gets up and walks down to his room, stopping next to Jungkook's room. He takes a look towards the room where a phone is placed on the desk, playing a soft melody with someone singing in an angelic voice. Jimin has never heard such an addicted voice before.

Quite stunned by the song, he does not hear Jungkook appearing. "Jimin? What are you doing here?"

"Oh- Ah- Um..." Jimin looks nervously to the ground and rubs his neck. "N-nothing... I-I was only on the way t-to my room. S-see ya." Jimin can't help but smile that his eyes are forming into crescents.

"Here. Give it back to me later."

Jimin hands the charger to Taehyung. "You know you are really being obvious. I could hear everything."

"What do you mean?" He asks a bit perplexed.

"You've been blushing on the full radar and you were stuttering. Jungkook really has to make you nervous, huh?"

Jimin glares at Taehyung while making himself something to drink. "Shut up. He could be hearing everything and don't you dare talk to him about it."

"Oh no no. Then I wouldn't be able to enjoy how you dance around each other anymore. It's way too amusing."

Taehyung flashes an evil grin before he can't hold it any longer and breaks out in laughter. "You should see your face."

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Very funny," Jimin rolls his eyes and sits down next to Taehyung and his mind wanders to the song he earlier heard. He has to find out somehow who the voice belongs to. Its melody is repeating in his head like someone would play it on their phone and would press the rewind button.

•••••

"Here you go. Cookies and cream and strawberry in an ice cone," Jimin takes the ice cream from Jungkook's hand and offers him a warm smile. "T-thanks, Jungkookie." Jungkooks heart skips a beat at the cute nickname.

"You're welcome. We definitely needed a break," Jimin nods agreeing with a hum. They danced the entire morning already before they decided to go out and have ice cream.

"I think I have to tell you something now before it will slip my mind again. Honestly, I haven't had this much fun in a while as with you for the past 2 weeks. Yes, it was mostly exhausting with practices but you took good care of me. When I did a wrong movement you had the patience and showed me the move again until I got it right. I am really glad that you agreed to be my partner," Jungkook continues while he turns to Jimin, meeting his eyes. "See the ice cream as a thank you." He smiles, showing Jimin his bunny teeth.

It is just a little thank you but why does nothing come out when Jimin opens his mouth? Why does he stare in awe at Jungkook when he was the one who denied and then said he has only a crush on him? And why does his heart pound faster when he looks at Jungkook?

Could it be possibly something more than a crush?

He gets pulled out of his thoughts when the taller boy wraps his arm around Jimin's waist and presses him firm against his own chest. The action caught Jimin by surprise that he ends up smearing ice cream all over his mouth and nose, making Jungkook chuckle as he looks down at him. "I am sorry for that, but if I hadn't pulled you against me, a biker would have probably hit you. Wait a second I'll get you something." He walks back into the ice cream shop only to appear 10 seconds later with a tissue in his hand.

"Here, you can wipe up the ice cream."

"T-thanks."

"Jimin, you are missing something."

"W-where? H-here?" he rubs underneath his mouth.

"No. Next to your nose," Jimin moves the tissue next to the nose only to be met with a no from Jungkooks.

"Let me-" Jungkook takes the tissue from his hand and carefully wipes off the remaining ice cream from his face.

If it weren't for the circumstances Jungkook might have done something more than only admiring the blushing from Jimin while brushing with his fingertips over Jimin's lips.

•••••

Late at night, Jungkook returns tired from a meeting with his parents. Normally he would push it and say he has no intention to go there just to get scolded once again. Nevertheless, he did that too many times in a row now, that is why he decided to go just this once in a while.

In the end, he got so mad listening to them that he should focus more on school and why he changed his course. They never supported him when he wanted to study dance, saying he wouldn't earn enough to make a living out of it.

It was no use to tell them he is now the happiest in a long time. They don't care whether he is happy or not, not even when he is finally able to talk to someone he wished he could talk to for a long time.

When Jungkook enters the apartment he walks straight to the kitchen, leaving his shoes and jacket at the door. The shouting and listening made him really thirsty and hungry.

He goes to the fridge, opens a bottle of water and fills it into the glass, then opens the box of noodles he bought on the way. Jungkook finishes his food fast and throws away the emptied box, just wanting to go to bed.

As he turns around the corner he almost stumbles with a groan over some shoes that are placed as someone threw them, not caring whether they are in the way.

He carefully places the shoes at the door, rushing back in the direction of the bathroom.

Afterwards, on his way to his room, Jungkook looks to the right, then pauses in his tracks, seeing the tv is still on. Normally, he would be the last one to go to sleep and make sure everything was unplugged. So why is the tv showing some American series? It's feasible that somebody is still up.

His gaze shifts from the tv to the sofa. And presumably, it is the cutest sight he has seen of Jimin sleeping while being curled in a blanket. There is no way he would go to his bedroom in the following minutes.

Jungkook thoughtfully moves to the end of the sofa where he kneels down, looking at this beautiful angel. He examines his features closely and allows his fingers to brush over his cheek. How can someone be that cute and beautiful at the same time?!

"Jimin," Jungkook gently calls him.

The mention of his name has himself curling more into the blanket. Jungkook can't keep a smile off his face.

"Jimin."

When he gets no reaction, Jungkook gently slides one arm under Jimin's legs and the other under his back. Jungkook had so often dreamed of carrying him in bride style but never thought that there would be a possibility to actually do so.

Jimin slings his arms automatically around Jungkooks neck, still sleeping peacefully in the taller boy's arms.

Jungkook enters Jimin's room and lays him on his bed, tugging him with his blanket. Ready to leave, Jimin's fingers suddenly grab the hem of Jungkook's shirt, who lets out a gasp in surprise.

"Please don't- Stay." Jimin's eyes are closed, leaving Jungkook to wonder whether he is just sleeping talking or whether he is awake and has only his eyes closed.

Another gasp leaves Jungkook's lips when Jimin tugs on his hem again. Jungkook could never deny him whether or not Jimin was asleep.

"Anything for you," he crawls under the blanket next to Jimin.

Laying next to Jimin has his heart beating nonstop. It's crazy how only one person could make you feel like this.

"Goodnight Jimin," he whispers when Jimin crouches to him and nuzzles his head on his chest.

Jungkook is absolutely positive that if he would be awake, Jimin would hear his heartbeat and his unstable breathing.

Instead, an arm finds its way over the stomach and goes around to the side of Jungkook. With that Jungkook doesn't need anything more to persuade himself that the smaller is sleeping. It's enough evidence for him. So he shifts slightly, facing Jimin and wraps his arm around the waist and pulls the other closer that their chests are touching.

Golden sun rays shine through the window and birds outside can be heard inside the room, when Jimin slowly opens his eyes. 'There is nothing better as to wake up to something like this', he thinks.

Suddenly a short movement has him freeze instantly. He has definitely felt something just now, there is no way he is alone in the bed. Jimin thinks about whether he should just endure it and wake up later again or if he should turn around.

A minute passes where he debates with his mind and his heart. In the end, his curiosity wins over and decides on the latter.

The second he turns around he is met with Jungkook facing him.

He gazes over Jungkook, sleeping peacefully next to him and only then he notices Jungkook's hand, wrapped around his stomach.

No denying that it's a different yet good feeling is to wake up to. No matter what the reason might be that Jungkook lies next to him Jimin will take that chance to enjoy the moment.

While he traces with his thumb over Jungkook's cheekbones, his mind wanders to what it would be like to be loved by him and to be his boyfriend.

How it would be able to touch those precious lips and how he would feel protected within those muscular arms but more - he would be able to kiss him and go on dates. Only imagining it gives him butterflies in the stomach.

Would Jungkook even like him back?

He doesn't notice Jungkook slowly opening his eyes and staring down with a soft smile at Jimin.

"I am sorry if it made you feel uncomfortable when you woke up but you told me to stay last night."

Jimin's eyes shoot up and he is met with those beautiful brown chocolate eyes in which he gets lost so easily. "Oh- U-Um... N-No worries."

He quickly removes his hand. Shit, he's back to stuttering.

"Hm. I will go take a shower and then I will make breakfast for us, alright?"

Jungkook smiles and gets up, taking his phone from the nightstand with him.

An overwhelming feeling overcomes Jimin and he rolls from one side to the other side of the bed.

"Oh my god... What just happened?!" His smile grows even wider when the memory enrols how Jungkook carried him to his room.

Jimin gets up and slips into black jeans and a plain white t-shirt. He stares into the mirror, hanging near his cupboard. Dark circles underneath his eyes, slightly dry lips and puffy cheeks decorate his face.

Something in him tells him that he still looks beautiful and doesn't need to worry. It could be easily covered with a bit of makeup. Besides, Jungkook hasn't mentioned anything about this when he woke up. He looked more like, happy.

After doing his makeup, he slowly makes his way up to the kitchen still a bit tired to perceive his surroundings.

A smell hits his nose when he enters the kitchen and Jungkook stands next to the cooking place. The tips of his hair are still wet and some water drops down on his top, wetting it.

Jimin takes a closer look, sneaking up a few steps. Jungkook takes the pan in his hand and shakes it a bit up and down while he has his eyes on his phone. His muscles show off just like in practice, letting Jimin imagine things sometimes more than he would love to admit.

It is not exactly his fault that he thinks about things that go further than it being a crush. Not when Jungkook presents a side of him that mostly only he gets to see. He would normally wear a t-shirt or a jumper when he is around other people but for some odd reason, does he keep wearing those tops which show off more than they should.

"Oh? Jimin? Are you with me?"

He hasn't taken notice that Jungkook is now standing in front of him and couldn't look more worried.

"Jimin, are you okay? Is something wrong? " His face is now only inches apart.

"Huh? Oh- Um..." Jimin gazes over the face features once more. His eyes travel from his brown eyes down to a mole right underneath his nose and then to his lips, which are pressed into a thin line.

Oh hell, he would say anything is fine. But the urge he has to suppress from sliding a hand around his neck, just pressing his lips against the others and getting a taste of Jungkook is holding him back.

He gets abruptly pulled out of his thoughts when Jungkook pulls him into his arms. A comfortable warmth settles around Jimin while his chest feels as if someone just dumped a canister of petrol and sets it on fire while his heart beats like crazy.

Unconsciously, he slides both his hands Jungkook's back up until he meets his shoulder blades and clings his hands to his shirt.

"I like you."

Jungkooks entire body tenses and it seems as if he would hold in his breath.

"You- you-" Jungkook loosens his tight hug around the shorter boy and that's when Jimin just realizes what he just said.

It was out. He couldn't go back on his words. It's now or never.

He collects his courage and gives his best not to stutter. "I-... You don't have to like me back. You probably even have someone in your mind already... I have to admit that I've liked you for longer. When I think about it I kinda liked you already the day I saw you the first time.

I was on my way to my class with Taehyung and someone accidentally ran into you. You had dyed your hair to light brown and wore black ripped jeans with a plain grey t-shirt. Then... Then you helped him up and you were just so kind.

I-I always took glances at you. A few weeks later, people were gossiping about the guy who is so popular on the campus and someday, Taehyung came to me and told me you are that popular guy. I don't know for what you are popular until today.

Anyways, that's why I am stuttering when it comes to you. I've been n-nervous around you, thinking I would make a mistake or say something wrong in your present, because I... I really like you."

Jimin looks up when there is no answer from Jungkook. He is greeted with eyes, wide in shock and the mouth agape. "Now would be the time to-"

He gets interrupted by a pair of lips against his own. The kiss is soft and tenderly but grows deeper in seconds.

"You are right. I already have someone in my mind and that someone is you. Like you said the first time you saw me, that was also the first time I saw you and when I saw you looked back at me, I panicked and walked to my next class to calm myself down.

You were so handsome and cute - still are." Jungkook lets out a soft chuckle.

"And I was so intimidated by your presence. Since then I never got the chance to speak to you again until the day after I changed my course and had the chance to sit next to you. I was so nervous but tried to keep my cool. Call me crazy, but I knew already at that moment you are the right person for me." Jungkook takes a deep breath.

"I really like you too." He cups Jimin's cheeks with his hands and pulls him closer again. "So... are you willing to be my lovely boyfriend?"

Jimin nods and pulls him into a chaste kiss.

"Finally! Woohoo!"

Taehyung enters the kitchen while clapping with his hands.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this day to come."

Jimin giggles and entwines their hands, "Seriously, for how long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to know that you kissed and that you accepted to be his boyfriend. I am so happy for the two of you." He takes them into a group hug.

"But don't let me hear you in the night. I am gonna kill you. I need my beauty sleep."

•••••

Coincidence - or not. A few days later, on the day they had to perform in front of the class their dance they've come up with, Jimin went to the dance room when no one was in there besides Jungkook, who was seating in the back.

As Jimin walked to his boyfriend he could hear him humming to some song. And it was only when Jimin sat down next to him that he could hear him clearly singing to himself something about 'Euphoria'. The song he was craving to know more about and Jungkook sang it with such passion and love that Jimin lost himself in it.

If there were to be a chance to do a solo song and there was no way he would want to dance to any other song than to this one and surprise him with that.
