It should have been a normal ride home from the airport for Jungkook.

But apparently, the universe thought different when a cute guy sits on the bus that takes him home in 3 hours.

🌙🌙🌙

Jungkook just returned from overseas, from a business trip. Jet-lagged he searches in the airport for the bus ticket office to get a ticket home.

When Jungkook finally finds one, he pays for the ticket and goes to the right station from where his bus will leave.

Tired, from a business meeting he had just some hours ago, he gets on the bus. He sits in the last row but one, that way no one will be disturbed by the flickering screen of his phone when he watches series or writes messages and since it's already quite late there won't be as many people in there as early in the morning.

Just as he adjusts himself comfortable and putting the belt around his stomach a blonde boy catches his eyes.

A face mask covers his nose and mouth, showing only his eyes. Furthermore, does he wear a simple t-shirt and blue jeans.

Jungkook tries not to stare, really, he tries his best, yet he can't seem to find himself to tear his eyes away from him - not when he sees those sparkling brown eyes.

And to make it even worse, he sits down basically next to him, wouldn't it be for the aisle between them.

As soon as the blond-haired man takes his place and puts on his seatbelt, Jungkook takes the chance to take one final look before he would pretend nothing has ever happened and would focus on his phone.

The said boy turns his head to the other man he came with and exchanges a few words, then pulls out his phone from his bag and puts his headphones in the ears.

His left knee going up and down to the beat he is listening to while his eyes are focused on the things he is typing into the phone and then looking around in the bus. In seconds, Jungkook has his phone out - opening some chat and types something randomly.

He can feel a pair of eyes on him, slightly burning through his skin and then going back to his phone screen.

Jungkook would never admit it openly to his friends if he'd confess he'd steal glances at the other next to him while he would read something or watch a movie - just because it'd sound so ridiculous as it is. But it's the truth, he's smitten by those soft eyes since he entered the bus.

The next time Jungkook takes a look around him its because he saw something shift in the corner of his eyes. When he thinks the air is clear he looks up to the blonde man seeing him removing his mouth mask to drink something.

Jungkook couldn't be more stunned by the beauty next to him. Plump lips and a cute button nose decorate his face and then his fingers are...  chubby but yet so adorable.

He must have been staring for longer than he intended to because - fuck- he suddenly has those eyes staring right back at him before his plump lips go up in the most beautiful smile Jungkook has ever seen.

At this point his heart is beating repeatedly against his rib cage, pumping the air out of his lungs. He gulps hard and tries to form also a smile. What probably looks more like a forced one since the other's smile faltered a bit and replaced by showing worry.

Once Jungkook catches himself again, he friendly smiles and turns back to his phone.

Still, 2.5 h left.

How is he gonna survive?!

____

Jungkook knew exactly why he carried a jacket in his bag. The night air might be still warm but it isn't his first bus ride to know that the driver will carelessly turn on the air conditioner.

But obviously, that someone else didn't know it or it must have slipped his mind, because when he once again looked up after taking a nap for thirty minutes. His eyes fall on the petite boy, who's shivering and still only wearing a t-shirt.

He can't be so careless as the driver. Jungkook knows he would regret it later if he not shows his sincerity and looks through his two bags for any other kind of clothing to give it to the blonde man, who's currently leaning against his friend and sleeping.

So, for the next 2 minutes or so, he searches through his first bag but isn't lucky in finding something. When he digs through his second bag he can find a jacket, thicker than he had expected.

Jungkook came from Europe where the weather was lousier than here. On some days, it was surprisingly warm and the next day it would rain and the temperature would go down.

He pulls the jacket out of the bag and places it back on the ground.

One final breath...

His view gazes to his left, seeing the beauty sleeping - or at least trying to.

He reaches to his left, tapping with his finger on the arm. The other jumped slightly before he faces Jungkook confused. The man's cinnamon eyes stare directly into his own.

Really, Jungkook feels guilty for waking him up, no doubt there, but seeing him getting goosebumps all over because of the cold is also not the best solution.

"Here." He attempts to hand him his jacket. "You can have it for this ride."

The one, opposite him, widens his eyes and gasps. His fingertips gaze soft over the jacket. When he grasps the fabric of the collar, their fingers brush, sending electricity out.

"Th-thank you, u-um..." He shyly averts Jungkooks eyes.

"Jungkook." To say that he isn't eager to finally know his name is underestimated.

"I am Jimin. Thank you for the jacket." He says while putting first one and then another arm in the jacket.

Jimin.

'What a beautiful name.' Jungkook thinks, smiling secretly in front of him.

"May I know why you carry a jumper and a jacket with you when 25 degrees are outside?" Jimin whispers while he seems to lean closer as his right arm is on the armrest.

Jungkook looks up in surprise, he did not expect that the other would start a conversation.

"Oh- Um... I flew for a meeting to Europe and it was kinda cold there." He says nervously.

"That still doesn't explain the jacket in the bag." The blonde giggles.

Jungkook is buffed by the sudden straightforwardness.
"I- I thought it's gonna be cold. Last time, I experienced the same. It would be surely warm outside, but to sit on a bus with an air conditioner for 3 hours... It can get cold easily."

"Oh?" Jimin cocks an eyebrow. "And I assume you saw how I shivered and wanted to be so kind and help me?"

A sudden pink reflects on Jungkook's cheeks. He really doesn't want to admit that he is blushing from this. He has never met anyone who was this straightforward with a playful undertone and meaning behind.

And if he is being honest, neither has it been a man in the past.

"C-Correct. I wanted to be nice since I saw you in this state." A smirk sneaks up on Jimin's lips, he could sense there is more behind it.

"If you're wondering, I entered the bus with a friend, not with a boyfriend-"

Jungkook's eyes widen. "I-I wasn't. Really."

"Sure you weren't." He grins.

When Jimin had taken a step on the bus, his eyes immediately landed on the man who wore a jumper on the bus. Their eyes met for a second, but not long enough to his liking, yet a bit too shy to reciprocate.

As he averted the other's eyes, he could still feel them lingering on him. Especially on his eyes since he had a mask on.

At some point Jimin got tired and he leans his head against the shoulder of his friend who is somewhere in dreamland.

Once his eyes flutter close he barely peeks through his lashes, seeing Jungkook looking at him and then down at his phone again.

He faintly smiles at the attempt of Jungkook trying not to be too obvious.
But Jimin couldn't take his eyes off of him as well and fell somehow asleep at that.

For the remaining ride, they talked, leaving Jungkook to a blushing mess while Jimin just teased him.

"Last stop. Please get your hand luggage ready to leave the bus. We will arrive in a just few minutes." The bus driver says through the microphone.

A sigh escapes Jimin's lips as he turns to his friend to wake him up.

"Get up. We have to leave the bus in a few."

No movement.

Jimin touches his arm and slightly shakes it.

Still, no movement.

'I guess he really must be in dreamland.'

"Aish, you lazy grandpa! Get up or I'm gonna snatch your pillow away and keep it for a few days!"

A groan in defeat escapes his lips.
"I'm up! I'm up! Don't take my pillow!"

Jimin rolls his eyes and looks sad at Jungkook. "So I guess I will have to give you your jacket back."

He slowly slides his arms out of it.
"Thank you, for lending it to me."

"No problem." He faintly smiles.

He gathers his stuff together and puts them back into his bag. Should he ask for his number or not? Was he really flirting? Maybe he should give it a try...

Jungkook's head snaps up when he is done packing, only to find the seats next to him empty.

'Oh, no...' A rush of fear rushes through his body.

'And there it goes, my chance to ask someone who I might never meet again.'

He swings his bags over his shoulder and takes the jacket in his hand. 'Maybe I can still catch up...'

As he stands up something white falls to the ground, that catches his eyes.

He kneels down and picks up a piece of paper.

If you see this, I am sorry for leaving just like that, we have to catch a train.
I hope we can continue talking. xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

Jimin

He gets off the bus with a wide bunny smile and a racing heart.
