ย ย ย NORMAL IS BORING. At least that's what Luna thinks.
A two-story home with white walls and a swing on the porch that creaks. Neighbors that greet each other every time they see one another. A house party from across the street thrown by a reckless teenager whenever their parents' aren't home. A jock ex-boyfriend who left her for a cheerleader. A teacher that believes 'Knowledge is virtue' but is hungover from the whiskey hidden in his desk. Black wavy hair falling over her shoulders that she isn't allowed to dye. Divorced parents that live in different states. A stepdad stealing what little time she has with her mother. A sister that is as awkward as their father. It was all normal. Therefore, Luna finds it utterly boring.
That's why in true Luna Swan fashion, she becomes everything but normal.
She's the type that would vandalize her own home and justify it as her art. The type that would freaking scream at neighbors like a grouchy grandma whenever the soles of their shoes touch their lawn. The type that would crash a house party and pour laxatives on the punch bowl, allowing the party to turn into one stinky mess while she watches from her window with a grin. The type that would march down the field during prep rally with a huge ass scissor to cut the ponytail out of a certain cheerleader and leak a picture of her ex-boyfriend's dick, showing the whole campus his little pet. His very little pet.
The type that would steal the teacher's stash of whiskey and drink inside the janitor's closet with some random student during class hours. The type that would dye two streaks of her hair blue-green. The type that would annoy the living daylights out of her two parents despite being so far away from each other. The type that would stab her scissors into her stepdad's car's tires, to stop his date with her mom. And the type that would set up her sister with a lesbian even though she's straight just to watch her become even more awkward.
She's aggressive, loud, sarcastic, hilarious, and incredibly aggravating. Sometimes she's even called a psycho. But in all honesty, Luna finds that as a compliment. Because she is one hell of a-
"Bitch!" Luna exclaimed. She was seated on the dining table with her father and sister in their home in Forks, Washington. Shocked expressions were plastered across their faces when the word came out of Luna's mouth.
"Selene-" Charlie started but was instantly cut off by his daughter.
"Luna. I told you to call me Luna. Selene sounds so princessy and girly. Makes me sick." Luna said. Her birth name is Selene Swan, naming her after her mother's love for the moon. However, as Luna grew up, she came to despise the name. So, she started calling herself Luna, which caused everybody else to start calling her Luna, except for Charlie.
"Luna, she's your mother. Don't call her that." Charlie said.
"She dumped me here saying that I'll be staying here for the weekend only to find out that I'm actually staying here for a lot longer than that while she travels with her boyfriend. That screams 'bitch' to me, daddy." Luna replied, slumping in her seat with a scowl on her face.
Charlie simply sighed, not knowing how to deal with his daughter anymore.
"You scared mom's boyfriend." Bella said.
"Everyone's scared of me. It's fun." Luna simply replied.
Bella and Charlie shared a glance and their father just shrugged before responding.
"Just get ready for school tomorrow." He said.
The statement made Luna widen her eyes in shock and shout at the top of her lungs.
"What?!" she yelled.
Bella and Charlie could've sworn that their ears started to ring after she shouted. No one in their family has any idea where she got those lungs of hers. She can scream for hours and not even be weakened by it. And that's not a theory. That's a fact. Proven and tested during her days as a middle-schooler when her favorite pen went missing.
Her eleven-year-old self went marching down the corridors of her school, barging in on every classroom, shouting at and threatening random children in search for her pen. She was like that for hours only to find out that it was at the bottom of her bag.
"Luna, please. Use your indoor voice." Charlie said.
"This is my indoor voice! Only angrier!" Luna said before smashing her hand on a muffin, causing it to go flat against the table and leaving the dining to go to her bedroom.
Charlie shifts his glance towards his less aggressive daughter and gives her a pleading look. Bella just sighs in defeat before she rose from her seat and made her way towards Luna's room.
Bella knocks on her bedroom door and opens it, peeking her head through it to see Luna on her bed with still a frown on her face.
"Hey." Bella said.
"Hey." Luna replied, finally lowering the volume of her voice.
Bella enters her room and shuts the door behind her, which earned an eye roll from Luna.
"Yeah, come in. Because I totally said so." Luna said, her usual sarcasm pushing through.
Bella ignores her twin sister's sarcastic remark and goes to sit on Luna's bed.
"Luna-" Bella started, placing a hand on Luna's leg.
"Don't touch me." Luna said. This made Bella withdraw her hand from Luna's leg before she continued.
"You got kicked out of school because you cut off a cheerleader's ponytail-"
"Because she was annoying."
"Leaked your ex-boyfriend's picture-"
"He too was annoying."
"And got caught drinking on school grounds."
"Because the whole school was annoying."
A sarcastic smile is plastered across Luna's face which made Bella laugh, but it stopped as soon as it came. She wasn't going to tolerate her sister's behavior, not when she's already a senior and about to graduate.
"As much as I want to tell you how funny that is, it can't happen again." Bella said.
Luna throws her head back and groans in frustration. "Why not?"
"Because you need to graduate! Don't you have a dream?" Bella asked.
"I do, and that's to become the next Christina Aguillera." Luna answered and proceeds to do riffs from one of Christina's songs, causing Bella to look at her sister with amazement. She had no idea that Luna was such a good singer. No scratch that, an incredible singer.
"Wow. Luna, you're amazing!" Bella stated.
"You're only realizing that now? We shared a womb." Luna said.
Bella only rolled her eyes as she rises from the bed. "I'm gonna go." She said.
Luna furrowed her eyebrows in both curiosity and confusion as she looks at her twin. "Where are you going?"
"Edward and I have plans." Bella simply answered.
Luna's previously furrowed eyebrows then shoot up in amusement, a smirk playing on her lips before she crosses her arms against her chest.
"Ooh, I'm coming with. I'd like to meet that boyfriend of yours that has daddy complaining." Luna said, getting off her bed in an instant to run downstairs towards the truck.
Before Bella could stop her, she's already out the door and bumps into a huge rock, or at least that's what it felt like. When she brought her gaze up to the very thing she bumped into, she realized that she actually bumped into a guy.
His gold and amber eyes were looking down at her with a nonchalant face. His golden blonde locks sat neatly on top of his head. His incredibly pale white complexion almost blinded her, figuratively speaking of course.
His eyes then scan the girl in front of her. She had stormy blue eyes that are a bit gray-ish. Her black wavy hair falling just past her shoulders, the two streaks of blue-green hair from either side of her head added a bit more personality to her appearance. Her skin was pale as well, but not as pale as his.
"Uhm...Watch where you're going?" Luna said, an irritated expression on her face.
His nonchalant face turned into a confused and offended one when she said that. She was the one who bumped into him. He was simply standing there. Before he could respond with a harsh reply to the girl, Bella finally walked out of the house.
Is this Edward? Luna thought, but as if Bella knew what she was thinking, she suddenly spoke.
"Jasper? What are you doing here? Where's Edward?" Bella asked, causing Jasper to forget about answering the girl before him.
"He told me to pick you up." Jasper answered Bella. Luna noticed how his Southern accent roll off his tongue, making her raise her left eyebrow intrigued.
Bella walks over to them and stops beside Luna.
"This is Luna by the way, my twin sister. Luna, this is Jasper Hale, Edward's brother." Bella introduced.
"Howdy." Luna greeted with a wide grin on her face, making it obvious that she's making fun of him.
Jasper narrows his eyes at the girl, not because he finds her interesting but because he actually finds her annoying.
Bella notices the look that Jasper is giving her as well as the sarcastic grin plastered across her sister's face, which caused her to step in between them.
"Luna, I'll bring you to meet Edward some other time." Bella said.
Luna loses the grin but didn't bother to look away from the gorgeous being. The sight of him made her heart hammer in her chest. He was really good-looking, even with his emotionless face.
As Bella walked past Jasper to climb inside his car, Jasper turned around, but not before a smirk curled on his lips. Luna didn't know why he had one on, but she was sure it has something to do with her. If only she knew that Jasper can sense what she's feeling towards him.

Here you guys are! At first, I planned to make this an Edward fanfic but when I rewatched Eclipse, I remembered how obsessed I am with Jasper, and even more so with his haircut in that movie, so freakin' hot! I never loved Southern Accents as much as I loved British Accents but when I heard him speak, holy mother of sparkling vampires, he sounded so hot.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
