HISTORY FOR THE CULLENS is the easiest subject. They've lived long enough to witness some incredible events. They've seen empires rise and fall. They've seen wars begin and end. They've seen a person be born and die. They've seen a lot. It was bittersweet, witnessing those moments. It was exciting to learn what people think about those events generation after generation.
But now, they've grown tired of hearing the same stories.
Edward and Alice sat beside each other as they played tic-tac-toe on Edward's notebook out of boredom when Alice began to stare down at their desk. Her eyebrows were furrowing as a vision played before her eyes.
Her brother knew a vision suddenly popped in and with his vampire ability, he reads her mind.
At first, Edward was confused. He had no idea where this vision was going. But his facial expression turned into a shocked one when the climax of the vision played and the face of the girl in her vision was revealed.
At the same time Alice's vision finished, the bell rang and Alice immediately jumps up from her seat, storming out of the room. Edward grabs his things before following his sister.
"Alice." Edward said, not bothering to raise his voice since he knows she can hear him despite the indistinct chattering crowding the hallway.
Alice was confused. She saw someone. She saw a girl that would make her happy. A girl that would make her feel special. But what bothered her is the fact that her whole family wasn't fond of her. She doesn't know why yet, but Edward knew.
"Alice." Edward said, grabbing the pixie-haired girl's arm before stepping aside so they could talk.
"Don't any of you want me to be happy?" Alice said, her voice holding a hint of sadness.
She was supportive of Edward and Bella, and Jasper and Luna. But when the time comes that she finally found her mate, her family didn't like her.
"It's not that. It'sโ" Edward started. The boy sighed deeply before he continued. "I recognize the girl. I saw her in Luna's mind."
"And?" Alice asked, gesturing for Edward to continue.
"That girl was the cheerleader partly responsible for Luna's trauma." Edward explained.
Alice's lips parted and her eyes resembled that of pain. She felt her heart sink in her chest. This can't be happening. She was supposed to be with someone good and caring. Not with someone who can be held accountable for her future sister-in-law's experience in sexual assault.
"What?" was all Alice could manage to say. She was too shocked at the revelation that she still wasn't done processing it.
She never got the chance to finish processing the information Edward just dropped on her like a bomb before Alice got a text message from Rosalie.
From: Grumpy Rosie
Luna's at Carlisle's clinic.
Come ASAP.
"Why is she there?" Edward asked.
"I don't know. Grab Bella before we go." Alice said and Edward nodded before they went opposite directions, Alice going to prepare the car and Edward going to get Bella as well as Emmett.
It was an absolute hassle to convince the teachers that all four of them: Alice, Emmett, Edward, and Bella are needed by Luna. But they eventually did and went to drive off to Carlisle's.

Luna was lying on the hospital bed, unconscious. She has been for the past fifteen minutes. Carlisle has been monitoring her the whole time the moment Rosalie brought her in. Jasper was unable to get past just the doors to the hospital because of how strong the scent of both fresh and rotting blood was.
He remained outside, worried as hell for his soulmate, and pissed off at himself for not being strong enough so he could be there with Luna. All he could do was stare at his phone while Rosalie gives him updates.
Bella and the rest of the Cullens (including Esme) saw Jasper just outside the hospital and they asked about the well-being of the girl before they went to see for themselves.
"How is she?" asked Bella, holding her sister's hand as she glanced at Carlisle.
"Better. She had a mild panic attack and fainted afterward. Rosalie said that it was because something triggered her trauma." Carlisle explained.
Rosalie averted her eyes from the slumbering girl and towards her twin sister, Bella.
"Our professor was reading a chapter from Laurie Halse Anderson's 'Speak'. It was when the protagonist was sexually assaulted that Luna started hyperventilating." Rosalie said, making Alice swallow hard as Edward turned to look at how his sister's doing after figuring out that she'll be mates with someone who helped develop Luna's trauma.
"Then, she started lashing out when one of our classmates laughed, shouting out how sexual assault is not funny. Jasper had to drag her out of class before she broke down and fainted." Rosalie added.
Without a response, Alice walks out of the room with the feeling of guilt weighing on her chest. Everyone's gazes followed Alice as she stormed out of the room, confusion was written on their face except Edward.
"I'll be right back." Edward told them.
He looks at Bella and squeezed her hand before he lets go and follows Alice.
"Alice." Edward called.
Her brother calling out for her made the pixie-haired girl stop dead in her tracks in the middle of the almost empty hall. She remained standing there with her back facing him before Edward took it upon himself to approach her and stand in her line of sight.
When Edward finally reached her, he noticed how the girl's eyes held deep regret and guilt, something that she shouldn't feel.
"It's not your fault." Edward said.
"I know." Alice said, her golden eyes staring past Edward's shoulder blankly. "But I still can't help but feel guilty." She added.
"We have time to figure things out. But right now, Luna needs us." Edward said.
If only vampires could shed tears, Alice could've shed a tear or two by now. But since she couldn't, all she could do was hold every ounce of sadness before she nodded and allowed herself to be accompanied by Edward as they went back to check on Luna.
"Is it gonna take long for her to wake up?" Esme asked as Edward and Alice returned to the room.
"I hope not. She still has her contacts on. It needs to be taken out before the risk of having eye infection increases." Carlisle answered.
As if Luna heard Carlisle's statement, the raven-haired girl's eyes shifted underneath her eyelids before she unfolds them, her blue contact lenses appearing.
It took some time for her vision to clear out before she could see the faces that surrounded her. All contained a mix of relief and concern.
"Stop staring. That's rude." Luna groaned while she propped herself up with her elbows.
"Careful. You might still need more rest." Alice said, flashing the girl a comforting smile despite the feeling of her chest sinking.
"I have Blonde Woody's strength. I think I'm fine." Luna said.
Well, her mockery is back. That's a good sign.
After mentioning another nickname for Jasper, she noticed that all the Cullens were there except for him.
"Speaking of cowboy, where is Jasper?" she asked.
The Cullens shared glances before they were able to answer Luna's question.
"He couldn't get inside, Moonie. Hospitals reek of blood, and Jasper has the most uncontrollable bloodlust out of all of us." Emmett explained.
Luna nodded once, masking the worry from her face. "Okay."
"About time you wake up. You fainted with your contacts still on. We can take them off so you can rest your eyes before Charlie comes to pick you and your sister up." Carlisle said.
"Finally. I swear to God, if I go blind because of these, I'll show people how a blind woman murder someone." Luna said, earning giggles from the people around her.

It didn't take long for Charlie to get to the hospital, which means Luna only got a few minutes of relaxation before her contact lenses are once again inserted. Charlie, Bella, and Luna got home just in time to get ready for dinner.
Luna has been craving for churros ever since she woke up. However, they don't have the ingredients to make some and there aren't really diners near them that make churros. Therefore, all Luna could do was try to ignore her cravings.
After eating literally just two spoonfuls of dinner, Luna makes her way upstairs to her bedroom, not feeling the best. But she nearly jumped out of her skin when a tall figure stood in the middle of her room.
Luna cursed under her breath when she realized that it was Jasper again.
"Seriously, I can never get used to that." Luna said while she shut the door of her bedroom behind her.
She makes her way to her bed and takes off her shoes, her feet feeling sore.
"Well, you better get used to it because it's going to be a daily routine." Jasper said.
Luna was about to comment something sassy as per usual when she caught the scent of something sweet. She furrows her eyebrows before her eyes landed on the bento box Jasper was holding.
"Are those churros and melted chocolate?" Luna asked.
Jasper looks down at the box he's holding and raises his eyebrows, as if he has forgotten that he even brought that.
"Uhm, yeah." He said before he made his way over to her bed and sit, leaving a small space between them for him to place the bento box. "I had this strong craving for churros earlier. It was weird since I hadn't had any appetite for human food since I turned. It couldn't have been me, that's when I figured I was just feeling how you are craving for it." He added.
Luna watches Jasper as he opens the bento box, revealing the many pieces of golden brown churros and melted chocolate.
"So, I went home, watched some videos on how to make them, and cooked them myself." Jasper said.
Luna felt herself blush at the honey blonde's sweet gesture. No one has been this sweet to her outside her family. The fact that he even took the time and effort to make it himself, despite not knowing how the taste would turn out because human food tastes dirt to them ever since they turned, made the raven-haired girl's heart flutter.
Jasper looks at Luna after finishing setting up the food, seeing her eye the churros with her cheeks stained pink. He couldn't help but smile at the sight.
Though, Luna, being Luna, hid the fact that she liked how Jasper made a sweet gesture for her.
"Does that mean if I need to pee or take a dump, you'll feel it, too?" she asked.
Jasper didn't bother to stop the laugh that fell from his lips.
"I hope not." Jasper said, his smile not faltering.
Luna looks down at the melted chocolate in front of her.
"Hmm. I can't believe I just said 'take a dump' in front of the chocolate. I just lost my appetite." Luna said, staring at the food while Jasper shakes head.
After a few more seconds of staring at the bento box, Luna spoke again.
"And now it's back." She announced before she takes a churro and dips it in the chocolate. She takes a bite and a moan erupted from her throat when she tasted the sweetness of both the churros and the chocolate.
"Holy mother of sparkling vampires." Luna said before taking another bite.
The smile from Jasper's face widened as she watches his soulmate. He thinks she forgot that she was supposed to act tough around him. Because now, she looked so bright and innocent. It was a very rare sight, which is why he actually enjoyed it.
This was how Jasper wanted Luna to be. Carefree and happy. Not like how she was at school earlier. Broken and scared. It was a sight he never wanted to see again. Therefore, he promised her mentally that he would do whatever it takes to keep her from being that way again.

I can't get enough of these two. They're such cuties.
