THINGS HAVE NEVER BEEN MORE RELAXING after the confrontation the Cullens and the others had with the Volturi. They had said their farewells to the other covens who went back to their homes, once again able to calm themselves knowing that the only threat as of now was the clumsy children scraping their knees and drawing blood, which will most likely drive them crazy with all the restraints they had enforced in themselves.

"Hey, you okay?" Jackie asked her fiancé as soon as they emerged out of the forest.

Alice's eyes were fixated on the dirty-blonde vampire inside the house which she could see through the large panes of windows.

"Yeah, just...checking on Luna." Alice said as she looked at Luna worriedly.

"Why?" Jackie asked.

They remained standing outside as they watched Luna become irritated considering that even though she wanted to focus on the book she's reading, she couldn't help but hear Aurora and Embry's conversation through the phone call.

"Well, I can't get the vision I had of the battle out of my head. Luna was so different there." Alice said almost absentmindedly.

"Jasper died in the vision, right?" Jackie asked. "He is her king, and God have mercy on the poor soul that would dare to hurt her king."

Alice couldn't help but smile as their gazes on the dirty-blonde vampire never faltered.

"Hell hath no fury like Luna making those poor souls pay for touching even one golden hair on Jasper's head." The pixie-haired vampire stated.

Alice looked back on her fiancé before they intertwined their hands and entered the house to join the rest of the girls.

As relaxing as these past few days have been, Luna still couldn't escape the extremely public display of affection of Aurora and Embry. Now, Luna knows what their family feels like when she and Jasper do that.

"No, you hang up." Aurora said as she talked to Embry through the phone while she sat comfortably beside Luna on the couch.

Luna was busy reading 'Pride and Prejudice' which she just randomly picked out from the rather large collection of books her family has.

"Well, I don't want to hang up. You do it." Aurora said, still talking to Embry.

However, even though Luna has been trying to focus all her attention on the book, she can't fully concentrate considering that Aurora has been arguing with Embry about who should hang up the phone for the past three minutes.

"No, you do it." Aurora insisted.

Luna's grip on the book was starting to tighten as her patience for the two was slowly getting pushed over the edge.

"No, you. You. You. You. You. Y—" Aurora didn't get to finish arguing with Embry when Luna suddenly grabbed the phone and threw it across the room and out the largely open window.

Aurora looked at the dirty-blonde vampire and pouted like a child.

"I was talking to Embry." Aurora said as she pouted.

"Oh, were you? Sorry, I didn't notice with all the annoying squeaking of twelve-year-olds." Luna retorted, not bothering to look up from the book she was reading.

Aurora playfully rolled her eyes before leaning back on the couch and relaxing.

The living room was only occupied by the girls of the family. Luna, as said earlier, was reading a book she never thought she'd read.

Jackie and Alice are cuddled together on another couch as they look into wedding magazines considering they plan to get married in a month, which got Alice to become a Luna-tic again because there wasn't enough time to plan everything, but Jackie managed to calm her down.

Esme and Valerie are looking into house designs since Valerie and Benjamin plan on building a house of their own in Egypt, which triggered the Cullen family's sadness knowing that Valerie, who they had treated as one of their own, was moving away. But still, they were happy that she finally has someone and something that she has been looking for for centuries.

Renesmee was creating bracelets with Rosalie and Bella, which was what they have been doing for the past two days because apparently, she plans to make bracelets for each and every person that stood up for her.

Aurora, after Luna snatched the phone away from her and ending her phone call with Embry, simply sat there as she debated whether or not she should stay here and appoint someone in charge of the island then she'll just visit every now and then to check how everything's doing. Because in all honesty, there was no way she was going away without Embry.

Later, the boys finally joined them after hunting, and conveniently, Jacob had brought Embry back as well.

"Mi amor!" Aurora squealed before she had gone to Embry in an instant, wrapping her arms around his neck as Embry wrapped his around her waist, lifting her up as they hugged.

"Hi." Jasper greeted as he made his way over to his wife, kissing her addicting lips before he plummeted down next to her. He put his arms around her as Luna moved closer, not bothering to let go of the book.

Embry went to another couch with Aurora seated comfortably on his lap, Benjamin sat next to Valerie and gave her a kiss on the forehead, while the others joined their partners as well.

"So, what have you girls been doing?" Jacob asked.

"Plotting all your downfalls." Luna bluntly said, looking up from her book as she gave every male in the room a glare except for her husband, of course.

"Kidding." Luna added. "Just Edward's..."

Edward, who was seating next to Bella and holding her hand, looked at Luna with a confused expression on his face.

"Okay, why do you always pick on me the most?" Edward asked, his wife couldn't help but stifle a laugh beside him.

"Because I get the most hilarious reactions from you, Squidward." Luna replied.

Jasper couldn't help but crack a smile as a soft laugh escaped his mouth from the new nickname Luna has for Edward.

"Yesterday, I was 'Edturd'. Now, I'm 'Squidward'?" Edward said.

"I mean, you are a bit cranky." Jasper responded.

"Because she makes me cranky." Edward replied as he pointed at the dirty-blonde vampire.

"Why don't we change the subject then?" Benjamin chimed in, a polite smile planted on his lips as he held hands with his redhead mate.

"You are a literal angel, Benjamin. Please do." Luna said.

Benjamin narrowed his crimson red eyes on the two soulmates that sat across from him as a question that had been in his head was finally given a chance to be asked.

"This soulmate bond..." Benjamin began. "How does it work exactly?"

Finally, a topic that was interesting enough for Luna that it made her close the book she's reading and put it aside. Jasper and Luna shared a glance as they gathered what they know about their soulmate bond so far.

"Well, we didn't actually feel the bond right away. But when we did, we started seeing a slideshow, of some sort, of each other's memories. From the moment we were born, up until the recent one. That's when we felt utterly attracted to each other, not that I wasn't already before it happened. My attraction to her was simply disguised as annoyance." Jasper explained as he looked away from Luna.

Luna nodded before looking away and towards Benjamin as well, adding more information to Jasper's explanation.

"Yeah. Then after that we started experiencing each other's feelings. Parts of our anatomies started imitating each other. Which was why I had Jasper's eyes back then and his heart mirrored the beating of mine. It was as if he was—" Luna stopped herself from explaining when her mind started to formulate an equation that she didn't even know was possible. "—alive again."

The people surrounding her looked at the dirty-blonde vampire in both confusion and curiosity once they saw her furrowed eyebrows as if she had just figured out something that had shaken her to her core.

"Luna, what's wrong?" Jackie asked.

Luna moved away from her husband as he looked at her with the same confused expression everyone was wearing.

"Oh, my God. I'm a genius." Luna muttered as she rose from the couch.

"Darlin', what is it?" Jasper asked.

Considering that Edward was able to read her thoughts, the bronze-haired vampire shoots up from the couch as he widened his eyes.

"No. I won't allow it." Edward protested.

Luna whipped her gaze towards her brother-in-law as she responded.

"Just hear me out." Luna said.

"I already did!" Edward replied.

"Well, we didn't! So, please enlighten us." Valerie cut in.

Edward simply glared at Luna as she glared back before looking away and focusing her gaze on everyone, more specifically, Carlisle.

"Carlisle and I had a talk the other day about the possibility of me getting pregnant." Luna started, but the family already had their reactions.

"Wait, what? Why?" Rosalie asked.

Carlisle sighed before he took it upon himself to explain.

"Luna thought that since she's a copycat, she could copy the human ability of getting pregnant." Carlisle said.

"Can she?" Bella asked.

"No. There was no way the baby would survive in her vampire body. She's basically dead." He added.

"Which is why I have another idea." Luna said.

Edward once again interfered as the growing anger and worry inside him was taking over him.

"Luna." Edward warned but Luna simply ignored the bronze-haired vampire and continued with what she had put together in her mind.

"I could copy Renesmee's anatomy." Luna said.

"That's not possible. Your gift only lets you copy abilities, not anatomies. If that was the case, then you should have been able to copy the anatomy of Paul or Seth or any werewolf you have copied." Carlisle explained, once again turning down her idea, which Luna expected considering that she hadn't gotten to her main point just yet.

"I know that." Luna said. "But what if I add something to the equation that would let me copy her anatomy?"

The rest of them remained confused except for Edward who was still glaring at the dirty-blonde vampire. Soon, Jasper rose from the couch and stood next to his wife once he had realized what Luna was getting at.

"Our soulmate bond." Jasper muttered as he looked at her.

Luna glanced at her husband as she nodded slightly.

"I would copy the bond's ability to imitate one's anatomy and use that ability in copying Renesmee's. That way, my body would be physically alive again without my vampire side contradicting the human side because of her hybrid physiology." Luna explained.

The more Luna elaborated, the more Carlisle was realizing how this was a theory that could actually work.

"Yes, and with that, Renesmee would also feel all the suffering you will feel during the pregnancy, as well as during labor. So, I'm saying it again. No!" Edward said.

Just when Luna was about to argue with Edward, the mother of the child included in the equation also stood up and protested.

"Luna, I'm sorry, but I'm not gonna let you do that to my daughter." Bella said as she held her daughter's hand rather tightly.

"I'm not gonna let her go through that, too. She's my niece, goddammit! I'm gonna need time to master my gift and focus on copying the bond's ability of anatomy imitation only and disregard the part of the energy where she gets to feel what I feel. It would just be like dissecting a frog. Identify the parts, just get what I need, and leave the rest. I can do this." Luna argued back.

Bella sighed as she lowered her head, hesitant about what her twin sister was asking of her. She shared glances with her bronze-haired husband, who still held a stern expression, not at all accepting Luna's idea.

Jasper could feel the heavy weight that seemed to fall on Luna's chest, therefore, falling on his, too. And he knew that it has something to do with the current situation, making him try to get Luna away from them before things could get even worse.

"Selene, why don't we get some fresh air?" Jasper suggested.

Jasper placed a hand on Luna's lower back as he made a move to take his wife somewhere but Luna stood still in her position, not moving a muscle as she stared at her twin sister.

"Bells, I have never asked you for anything. Ever. My entire life I've never asked you to do anything for me. This is the one thing I need from you." Luna said, seeing the shift of Bella's eyes from serious to soft.

Luna pushed her lips into a thin line as she nodded slowly, realizing there was no way she could convince Bella or Edward.

"Right. I'm sorry. Let's just forget we ever had this conversation." Luna simply said.

"Luna—" Bella started but Luna immediately interfered.

"No, it's okay. I'm not jealous of you. I'm not longing for what you and Edward have. I mean, come on, me having a baby? It's ridiculous! I don't want to calm them down when they're crying, or hear their annoying giggling, or see how they resemble Jasper's eyes. It's—It's ridiculous. Let's face it, I'm just gonna be a bad mother." Luna said.

It was as though the whole house was swallowed with a bubble of tranquility as none of them even dared to utter a single word, afraid that one little sound might set Luna off due to how fragile she looked and sounded that very moment.

"Maybe having that miscarriage was a way of telling me that I'm incapable of handling a baby." Luna muttered, not expecting that her voice would crack in the process.

"Luna, honey—" Esme stood up from her seat before making her way towards Luna, only for her to shake her head as she backed away from her.

"I'm fine. I'm Luna Hale, for crying out loud. There's no one stronger than me." Luna said, forcing a smile to her lips.

None of them were able to react or respond to that when Luna quickly stormed out of the house, leaving the family dumbfounded by the loads of information that had just been disclosed in just a matter of minutes.

Luna knew that there was no other place that could make her feel better than the special place where she and Jasper always go to in their free time. The only difference now was that she was sitting there alone, and her face buried in her knees as she tried desperately to forget about the desire to have a family of her own.

She may only be eighteen, but she was already dead, which meant that most of her dreams are dead. The only dream that she has left was being with Jasper and she already got that one. The fact that she has an eternity to live without even a single dream that to pursue was driving her even more insane than she already was.

So, imagine her eagerness when one of her dreams, a.k.a. having children with the love of her life, sparked back into life when an idea popped into her head that could make it possible. But of course, it sparked back into life only for it to die down once again after her idea was harshly rejected.

"I knew I'd find you here." She heard the voice of her husband from behind her and the young woman simply looked up as Jasper sat down next to her.

"Where else could I be?" Luna asked.

Jasper looked away as he shrugged.

"Maybe in Brazil, hunting down that other vampire-human hybrid." Jasper stated.

"I did consider that. But I can't exactly go there and say 'Hey, please let me hold your hand so I could form a baby in my tummy'." Luna said.

Jasper smiled at the statement of the dirty-blonde vampire considering he could imagine her actually saying that as she stood before the Ticuna tribe.

He then looked back at her and saw how serious her expression was as she stared blankly at nowhere, like she was here physically, but mentally, she was somewhere else.

"Do you remember what I told you on Christmas day?" Jasper asked, snapping Luna back to reality.

"You said you won't give me your gift until we overcome the confrontation with the Volturi." Luna answered.

Jasper nodded before he revealed what his gift was supposed to be.

"I was going to adopt a kid." Jasper said.

Luna whipped her head towards her soulmate with her eyes widened in pure shock, not at all expecting the words that had come out of her honey-blonde husband's mouth.

"What?" She asked.

Jasper smiled at the reaction Luna has on right now. It was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas. He knew that once she had found out that he had adopted a kid, she would be the happiest person in the world.

"I love you, Selene, so damn much and if having a baby is what you want then I want it as much as you. You're not gonna be a bad mother, darlin'. The times you spent with Renesmee were precious. I saw the way your eyes twinkle everytime she giggled, the way your smile would almost reach your ears when she holds your hand, the way you would high-five each other when she gets a guitar chord right. You're amazing, and I want to give you everything I can to make you happy." Jasper said.

Luna swore that if she was able to produce tears right that moment, she would have shed a lot of them as the statement that came out of Jasper's mouth was one of the most incredible things she had ever heard.

He was willing to adopt a child for them. He was willing to adopt a child for them.

Luna didn't even bother to give a verbal response and simply leaned in to kiss her husband intensely and passionately. She couldn't even begin to describe the emotion she was feeling right now.

She pulled away as she took his face into her hands, gazing into each other's eyes as she muttered.

"What would I do without you?" She said.

Jasper narrowed his eyes as he thought of a few things.

"I could think of a couple of things, one of which has something to do with a baseball bat and a bunch of victims." Jasper joked.

Luna smiled at him as Jasper returned it. He looked away from his wife when he felt his phone vibrate in the pocket of his pants, immediately taking it out and reading the message he had received.

"We're not gonna adopt a child." Jasper muttered.

Luna's smile disappeared in an instant.

"What? What do you mean we're not gonna adopt? You just said it you can't take it back!" Luna exclaimed.

"No, we're not gonna adopt a child." Jasper said. "Because Edward just texted me."

The dirty-blonde vampire furrowed her eyebrows as she waited for her husband's next response.

"They're gonna let you do it."

WHO'S READY FOR A MINI JASPER AND LUNA? BECAUSE I SURE AS HELL AM.

OneTrikJester proposed the theory of copying Renesmee's physiology but I later on thought that it wouldn't work since Luna copies abilities, not anatomies. But I was reminded of the way the soulmate bond work and I knew that it was the only thing missing in the equation for it to work! So thank you for helping me bbyyyy <333

I also didn't like the idea that I should just create some soulmate stuff that would allow them to have a baby because I felt like that was too easy and since there have been a couple of vampire soulmates before them, the possibility of having a child should have been recorded in the vampire history books already and the vamps shouldn't be surprised that a child like Renesmee exists.

So, that's that!

AGAIN, LUNA AND JASPER ARE HAVING A FUCKING BABY. KSKSWKWKSKSKSKAKS I CAN'T WAIT AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH SCREAM WITH ME!!!
