THE SOLES OF THEIR SHOES left distinct footprints on the pile of snow that entirely covered the ground. The cold the winter had brought in had no effect on either one of them as they stood tall under the supposedly freezing weather. They stood beside their loved ones.

The Irish coven stood next to each other, so did the Amazon, the Knight, and the Romanian coven. The Denali's were aligned horizontally, Garrett joining them as well. The Egyptian coven was joined by Valerie, Benjamin's hand holding hers, Aurora standing near them.

Emmett has his arm around a concerned Rosalie. Carlisle shared a glance with Esme as they held hands. Renesmee, Bella, and Edward stood next to each other while Luna and Jasper intertwined their hands into one another, ready to face whatever comes their way.

"If we live through this, I'll follow you anywhere, woman." Garrett said next to Kate.

The two shared a glance before Kate looked away as a small smile tugged on her lips.

"Now you tell me." She replied.

They all anticipated what was yet to come. They took this short opportunity to acknowledge the people that they love, to look at them with such care and love. And then there it was.

The sound of the snow squishing underneath their soles alerted them, their gazes instantly whipping towards where all of it was coming from.

"The Redcoats are coming. The Redcoats are coming." Garrett chanted in a low volume, seeing indistinct figures slowly emerging out of the cold fog that increased the level of suspense in the ambiance of the area.

Almost everyone had their mouth hanging ajar when their eyes landed on the ridiculously large amount of vampires horizontally aligned appearing out of the white fog.

Each and everyone from the other side widened their eyes at the presence of many vampires, and among them was Irina.

"Aro's looking for Alice." Edward muttered.

He was right. Luna could tell when Aro was searching each and every one of them. But a small smile appeared on his lips when his eyes landed on the dirty-blonde vampire, someone he had been wanting to meet for so long.

The sound of the wolves howling announced their own presence as they emerged out of the forest. Jacob immediately joined Bella, Renesmee, and Edward, and Embry joining Aurora's side, his protective aspect immediately taking over.

The Volturi and their companions had finally stopped marching, placing a great distance between them and Luna and the others.

The Volturi let down their hoods, and Carlisle used that as a sign to let go of Esme's hand and step forward to be their spokesperson of some sort.

"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to." Carlisle said. "In a civilized manner."

"Fair words, Carlisle. But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us." Aro said.

This was Luna's first time hearing the voice of Aro and being her usual sarcastic and mocking self, her brain was then filled with hilarious insults that she chose not to disclose.

"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken." Carlisle replied.

"We see the child. Do not treat us as fools." Caius stated.

Luna's gaze shifted towards Caius and she immediately despised every inch of him. Well, apart from his hair, which Luna thought was really well-conditioned.

"She is not an immortal! These witnesses can attest to that...Or you can look." Carlisle announced.

Carlisle then glanced over at Renesmee, his hand holding out towards her. "See the flush of human blood in her cheeks."

"Artifice!" Caius shouted.

Luna rolled her eyes and couldn't hold back the insults much longer due to the annoyance building up inside her towards Caius.

"Oh, calm your boobs, Grumpy!" Luna shouted back.

Caius raised an offended eyebrow towards Luna and opened his mouth to retort, only to be stopped by Aro holding his hand up.

"I will collect every facet of the truth." Aro said, his gaze on Luna as an amused expression was plastered across his face, causing Jasper's hold on Luna's hand to tighten.

"But for someone more central to the story." Aro said as his gaze flickered from Luna to Edward. "Edward, as the child clings to your newborn mate. I assume you are involved."

Aro held out his hand, seeking for Edward's cooperation. The bronze-haired vampire looked at his daughter, giving her a genuine smile as he brushed her hair. His gaze looked up to his wife, reassuring her before finally walking away and towards Aro.

The walk between the two sides was dreadfully long, but every second that passed by allowed Luna to think about every outcome that this confrontation would give. If only Alice were here to pick out the exact one.

Once Edward finally reached the Volturi, Aro immediately held Edward's hand, his thoughts flashing before Aro's eyes, seeing every memory he has of his daughter, Renesmee.

Aro couldn't help but place an amazed smile on his lips as such incredible discovery was just made. His crimson red eyes then landed on the vampire-human hybrid child clinging onto Bella as he lets go of Edward's hand.

"I'd like to meet her." Aro insisted.

Edward, a bit reluctantly, turned towards his family. Jacob growled lowly as Bella glanced at her daughter. They took a few seconds before gathering enough courage to finally step away from their position and start walking.

The three stopped for a moment, looking over at Emmett who decided to join as well for added protection.

Every step they took led them closer to a hall with two doors. One labeled with freedom, and one with danger. And in all honesty, neither of them has any idea which one they were about to be thrown into.

Aro looked down at Renesmee with amazement written all over his face before flickering his crimson red eyes towards Bella.

"Ah. Young Bella." Aro said. "Immortality becomes you."

His smile widened at the newborn before once again focusing his attention on the child. His enhanced hearing allowed him to hear the heartbeat coming from Renesmee, making Aro's smile widen, even more, a maniacal-sounding chuckle also escaping his lips that made Luna grimace.

"I hear her strange heart." Aro confessed, the grin on his lips not wavering.

He held out his hand, craving to explore the young girl's thoughts. Bella looked at Renesmee, giving her a reassuring smile before the girl left her mother's side as Jacob growled.

"Hello, Aro." Her sweet voice said.

Aro waited for the young girl's hand to accept his, only for her to look at it before deciding to place her hand on his cheek, allowing herself to break through the barriers of Aro's mind and show him the memories stored in her mind ever since she was still in the womb.

"Magnifico." Aro mumbled.

His smile was caused by how enchanted he was at the child before he quickly gathered himself and straightened up, letting Renesmee's hand fall off his cheek.

Bella immediately reached for her daughter as Aro announced.

"Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn, while she was still human." Aro declared openly.

"Impossible!" Caius protested.

Luna sighed in frustration as she turned to her husband.

"I swear to Thor, if he doesn't stop, I'm gonna rip his hair off his head and make a wig." Luna mumbled.

Jasper simply gave her a smile, a nervous smile at that, before they averted their focus once again on the situation at hand.

"Do you think they fooled me, brother?" Aro debated.

Caius simply looked at him as Edward and the others finally walked away, not without Jacob growling at the blonde vampire once more before turning around and joining the others.

"Bring the informer forward." Caius said.

The vampires brought Irina forward, her eyes meeting her family's as she made her way over to Caius.

"Is that the child you saw?" Caius said, his finger pointing at Renesmee.

Irina's gaze moved over to the child. Her anxiety getting the best of her as she looked away and became confused.

"I'm not sure." Irina responded.

"Jane." Caius called out.

That was when Luna knew which one was Jane. She made a move to inflict pain on Irina but before she could, Irina spoke again.

"She's changed. This child is bigger." Irina stated.

"Then your allegations were false." Caius proclaimed, his actions as cold as ever.

"The Cullens are innocent." Irina said as she glanced at Aro. "I take full responsibility for my mistake."

Irina's gold, regretful, and apologetic eyes flickered over to the vampires on the other side, mouthing the words 'I'm sorry' as genuinely as she could.

They felt her sincerity and her regret through those gestures alone. However, their facial expressions were then turned into that of horror when the blazing fire from the torch appeared and the vampire holding it made its way towards Irina.

"Caius, no!" Edward shouted as he lets go of Renesmee's hand and stepped forward.

"What are they doing?!" Luna exclaimed as she tried to step forward but Jasper wrapped his arms around her in fear of getting hurt herself.

The vampires from either side of Irina ripped her arms off of her body, sending the Denali's screaming for her.

"Irina!" Tanya shrieked.

Both Tanya and Kate widened their eyes in horror as they started sprinting.

Irina's head was then yanked off her body, Caius bringing down the fire of the torch and letting its dancing flames touch her body, setting it on fire which caused more pain-filled cries to erupt from Tanya and Kate's throats.

Luna widened her eyes as her mouth hung ajar, a gasp leaving her lips at the sight of Irina's arms and head separated from her burning body.

Bella helped her daughter climb on Jacob's back, sensing that things might get ugly.

Tanya and Kate sprinted towards the Volturi, attempting to avenge their fallen sister. But the others moved to stop them from doing things that they'd regret. Emmett and Eleazar successfully grabbed Tanya while Garrett embraced Kate, earning himself a shock from Kate that sent him screaming in pain.

"Blind them." Edward told Zafrina.

Zafrina looked over at Tanya and Kate, allowing her ability to manipulate their eyesight, letting them see what she wanted for them to see.

"Give me my sight back!" Tanya demanded as she stood still in Emmett and Eleazar's grasps.

"Tanya, this is what they want. If you attack now, we'll all die." Edward said, attempting to calm Tanya down, as well as Kate.

Tanya finally understood Edward and let herself relax and think wiser. With that, Zafrina released both sisters from her ability, returning their sight back.

Emmett and Eleazar let go of Tanya and Kate eased into Garrett's arms.

"Are you all right, darlin'?" Jasper whispered worriedly in his wife's ear as he embraced her.

Luna clenched her jaw as she nodded slowly. Jasper slowly unwrapped his arms away from her, his finger snaking its way to hers, intertwining them.

Edward then walked away from the two sisters, his gaze fixated on the Volturi as he makes his way to his wife and daughter.

They saw how Aro turned to Jane, allowing her to use her ability on Edward.

"Pain." Jane muttered and Edward went down to the ground grunting in pain in an instant.

Edward could feel his whole body burning as if he was being engulfed by the hottest flames he had ever felt.

Bella went to approach her husband before stopping and squeezing her eyes shut, enabling herself to focus enough so that she could utilize her own ability for everyone to their side's advantage.

Soon, Bella's shield had engulfed everyone, rendering them protected from Jane or anybody else that sought to use their special abilities against them.

A smirk appeared on Bella's lips as Aro became intrigued at the turn of events. Edward shortly stood back up, giving the Volturi a look as he makes his way back to his family.

Jane's crimson red eyes flickered to each and everyone on their side, finding someone she could inflict pain on. But every one of them was under Bella's protection.

"It's working." Edward said.

The fact that she could not use her burning pain-infliction ability on anyone pissed her off, causing her to step forward and finish the job herself. However, her twin brother Alec stopped her from doing so.

Everyone shared glances, as if a mere look from the other was enough for them to communicate, which it was. The wolves snarled at the coated vampires, causing Alec to clench his jaw and open his hand, releasing a black smoke which Luna could only assume was the very thing that could rob anyone of their senses.

His black smoke was then halted when Aro held up his hand, interfering with Alec's intentions as he withdrew his paralytic vapor.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here." Carlisle said, breaking the dreadful silence that seemed to swallow the whole area.

"Agreed." Aro said. And just when it seemed as if everything was solved, there was a following statement. "But does it then follow that there is no danger?"

"At this point, you're only trying to force these shenanigans. And it's boring me." Luna voiced out.

Jasper should've known that a woman of his wife's caliber was someone who could not be held back, even in these times where the slightest utter of a word was precarious.

Aro could not help but smirk at the young woman's admirable spunk.

"Ah. Your soulmate's a tough one, Mr. Hale." Aro said as he looked at the stern Jasper.

"Luna, would you give me the honor to officially meet you?" Aro continued, holding out his hand as he asked to take a look at her thoughts. "I have been waiting for so long to come across the newborn who has such incredible ability."

"Granted that you will give me, my family, and friends pardon, considering that neither one of us committed any crime." Luna responded.

Aro hummed as he gazed at the dirty-blonde vampire.

"I'm afraid I can't do that." He answered.

Aro, with his hands clasped together, stepped forward and made an announcement for all to hear.

"For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind." Aro said, turning towards his own people as he continued. "Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us."

Aro whipped his gaze towards the innocent hybrid child, earning a glare from the mother who carried her in her womb. Aro once again looked back on his people as he voiced out a speech that encourages the destruction of the coven before them.

"Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative. In such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable. And we know nothing of what this will become." Aro added, looking back at Renesmee.

"Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow." Aro said.

His people started chattering, muttering responses that are against letting the child or any of them live.

However, the multiple chattering of all the vampires from the Volturi's side started dying down when they were joined by another set of presences that Aro was so delighted to witness once again.

"Alice." Edward muttered when he began to hear Alice's thoughts.

Luna and Jasper shared a glance before looking at the two people emerging out of the woods.

Alice and Jackie.

"Alice!" Aro said, pleased to finally see the pixie-haired vampire.

Both Alice and Jackie settled their eyes on their family, missing what it felt like to be with them again.

Luna smiled at the two as she was glad to once again see them. She knew she wouldn't abandon them.

Jackie's crimson red eyes were still as evident as they last saw them. And despite it being intimidating, the look she has on was far from it. It was of longing. She was longing for her family. The family that had adopted her when she was at her lowest. And the same goes for Alice.

Before they could fully reach Aro, three vampires blocked their way and stopped them from getting near Aro.

"My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all. Now two of my utmost favorite immortals are together." Aro said as he flickered his gaze between Alice and Luna.

"I have evidence that the child won't be a risk to our kind." Alice stated before holding out her hand. "Let me show you."

"Brother?" Caius called out to Aro.

Aro was too eager to witness what Alice had seen, therefore, ignoring Caius's response and held out both his hand, telling the vampires blocking Alice and Jackie to release the pixie-haired girl.

Alice roughly shoved away the vampires holding her as she walked past them, allowing themselves to focus on keeping Jackie in her place as they held her in both her arms.

"I was a cheerleader, so I can kick high enough to send you to another planet if you don't loosen your fucking grip." Jackie snarled at the vampire to her left.

Alice made her way towards Aro who eagerly held her hand as soon as she reached him, immediately diving into her thoughts and letting himself see the future that Alice had seen.

Luna, having Edward's mind-reading ability, took it upon herself to look into her thoughts as well, seeing the future that was laid ahead of them if Aro's decision were to remain the same. And she couldn't furrow her eyebrows more for what's to come.

Aro continued to look in Alice's thoughts as a small smile stretched on his lips, that was until Alice once again spoke up.

"It doesn't matter what I show you. Even when you see." Alice said, yanking her hand back as she glared at him. "You still won't make your decision."

Alice looked back on her family, muttering the word 'Now' which sent the vampires into preparation for what was going to happen next.

Luna tightened her grip on her husband's hand before letting go and quickly making her way towards her niece. The dirty-blonde vampire held her niece's hand, slipping in her wishbone necklace into her palms as she tells her goodbyes.

"Love you always, Ness." Luna muttered.

Renesmee looked at her Aunt Luna with sad eyes, making it harder for Luna to let go of her hand. Bella looked at her daughter before moving over to Jacob.

"Take care of my daughter." Bella whispered.

Jacob simply whined in response before turning around and immediately running as fast as he could to get Renesmee out of harm's way. Both Bella and Luna took one last look at Renesmee as they go further away from them.

Luna sped back to her husband's arms, hugging him tightly as her anxious self was starting to take over.

"I love you." Luna muttered.

"Till the moon's upside down." Jasper replied.

They pulled away from the hug and gazed into each other's similar golden brown eyes, Luna letting herself get enough courage and strength from the presence of her husband.

"If you die, I will kill you." Luna said.

Jasper couldn't help the smile that tugged on his lips at her statement, causing him to pull her close to him and crash his lips into hers, one more time before they go into battle.

"Get them." They heard Caius say to a dark-skinned vampire.

Alice turned back towards Aro before using her flexibility to kick him on the chin high enough that it sent him flying in the air, earning surprised gasps from everyone around them.

The vampire from either side exchanged glares as Aro flew in the air, landing on the snow on his feet as he slid back, stopping himself from going any further with his hand digging into the cold snow.

Aro straightened back up, a vexed expression plastered across his face as Alice's sudden move caused him to be humiliated in front of his vampires.

Two vampires sped towards Alice as she attempted to get away. She was held back by them as Jackie tried to break free from the grasps of the vampires holding her to save her girlfriend.

"Let go of her!" Jackie shrieked as she placed her hand on the vampire to her right and used her special ability to send his whole body paralyzed, causing him to collapse to the snowy ground. Jackie simply used all her newborn strength to elbow the vampire to her left which successfully did the job and tossed the vampire away.

Luna as well as the others watched in horror as Jackie attempted to fight her way through the vampires to get to her girlfriend.

But before she could reach Alice, Jane focused all her attention on the brunette vampire and muttered the word she felt the next second.

"Pain." Jane muttered.

The sound of Jackie's ear-piercing shriek as she roughly collapsed at Alice's feet, causing the pixie-haired girl to thrash around the vampire's grasps as she watched her lover struggle in pain.

The Cullen family took taunting steps forward, as well as the Volturi while they exchanged deadly glares.

"Take her away." Aro told the vampires holding Alice in place.

Alice continued to try and break free from their grasps as her gaze was fixated on Jackie as she continued to scream in pain.

"Let them go!" Carlisle shouted at them, an enraged expression written all over the face before he started sprinting across the snow, his teeth gritted as he did.

Two vampires sped their way towards him, planning to take him down only to be effortlessly shoved away by Carlisle and his overwhelming rage towards the Aro and the rest of the Volturi.

With his teeth still gritted, he goes after a smirking Aro before he as well made a move to attack the leader of the Olympic coven.

Both Carlisle and Aro jumped incredibly high in the air, their bodies meeting and crossing each other before making their way back to the ground. Unlike Aro who had landed perfectly on the ground, Carlisle collapsed to the ground, unmoving.

Aro, with his vicious gaze staring right at the covens before him, slowly stands up and revealed the very thing he was holding behind his cape.

Carlisle's severed head.

It was as if they were robbed of the sense of hearing when all sounds of the external world started to fall away and the only thing they could see, hear, or feel was the excruciating pain of the loss of someone far more valuable than anyone they had laid their eyes on. Someone who had given them a second chance in life when they were about to wither away from their own bodies. Someone who had put a roof over their heads and love in their non-beating heart when nobody else did.

Now that someone was dead, and they couldn't be more mentally, and emotionally wounded.

Esme's cries for her husband's death pierced through the bubble of tranquility everyone was in. Each and everyone on their side had their eyes widened and their mouth hanging ajar in fright and rage as Aro mischievously grinned at them before Carlisle's body was engulfed in flames next to the weakened Jackie who could only watch in horror as the person who took her in was burning before her eyes.

And with that, all hell broke loose.

It was as if there were no longer any restraints holding them back. There were no more reasons to maintian the polite facade that they have built. All that was in their heads were the words 'attack' and 'avenge'.

With their ferocious glares fixated upon the Volturi and its minions, they started sprinting across the snowy field. The sounds of the vampires' war cries and the wolves' vicious growls echoed throughout the area as they darted towards the battalion of vampires on the other end of the field.

Luna ran with incredible speed next to the love of her life as they made their towards what Luna could only assume was the battle of the century.

Edward jumped so high from the ground and landed with an incredible punch across the vampire's face that seemed to set everything in motion.

Each and every vampire avenging Carlisle and protecting Renesmee had a fight of their own, throwing punches and kicks and utilizing the best of their abilities to take down anyone who dared to make a move against them.

The empath Jasper grabbed one vampire and kicked another before bringing one down with him and immediately ripping his head off his body.

His pretend-twin Rosalie grabbed one by the neck and slammed him against the ground with gritted teeth.

The werewolves' did not hold back as they mauled each and every enemy they could reach.

Aurora engulfed every vampire she touches in flames with her burning touch, while Seth mauled some near her, protecting her as much as he could.

Garrett backhanded a vampire with his great strength that it sent the vampire spinning and collapsing to the snow. Edward did the same and it tossed the vampire away from him.

Valerie ran so fast as her red fiery hair flowed behind her. She tackled a vampire and swiftly ripped both his arms off before proceeding to behead him.

The Knight coven fought side by side as they took down each and every vampire that comes their way with such speed and strength and teamwork.

Luna, with the use of Kate's ability, grabbed two vampires at the same time by the neck and electrocuted them before slamming them with such great force to the ground, crushing their necks in pieces as well.

Jane walked calmly as she was tasked to do whatever it takes to capture Aro's most precious trophy, also known as, Luna Swan-Hale. She laid her eyes on the one most critical weakness that Luna had and used it to diminish Luna's strength and focus.

Jane tried to use her burning pain-infliction ability on the honey-blonde vampire but soon noticed that Bella has him under her shield. Her twin brother Alec glanced at his sister and made a move to help her in executing her plan.

Alec stood up from taking down a vampire and went after Bella, tackling her to the ground which caused her shield around Jasper to drop instantaneously.

Jane (A/N: aka this bitch,) took this as an opportunity to use her ability against Jasper.

The honey-blonde vampire was about to punch Demetri across the face when the burning sensation suddenly surged throughout every inch of his body, causing him to grunt in pain as he knelt to the ground.

With the soulmate bond very much intact, every pain that Jasper was feeling, Luna was feeling as well. The dirty-blonde vampire cried in pain as she bent down, feeling her insides as well as her exterior form like it was swimming with the blazing flames.

She turned around to look for Jane, who she knew was responsible for what she was feeling right now. But as soon as she turned around, she was met by the love of her life, his arms held as he knelt to the snowy ground and Demetri's hand chopping through his neck.

The instant that Demetri's hand went through Jasper's neck, she felt a great deal of pain in her body, accompanied by a spark that she first felt when their soulmate bond was activated.

But this time, the reason she felt the spark in her non-beating heart was because the soulmate bond was warning her of the possible deactivation of the bond the moment that her soulmate, her husband, the love of her life, was decapitated.

"Ahhhh!" She shrieked in pain, so loud that it echoed and alerted the Cullens of another tragedy their family had.

Her sprint was so fast that in just a split a second, she already reached Jasper and the two vampires responsible for the decapitation of her husband, immediately backhanding Demetri and kicking the other away.

She knelt to the ground as she tried to reassemble her husband's body.

"You're not leaving me. I'm gonna fix this. I'm gonna fix this! Don't you dare leave me!" Luna exclaimed as uncontrollable sobs erupted from her throat.

Aro, while he watched as Luna hover above her husband's body, sent another group of vampires her way to capture her.

They tried to pry her away from Jasper but it only pissed her off and sent most of them flying in the air.

One managed to kick her away from Jasper, giving him enough time to lower the torch and burn her husband's body right in front of her eyes.

Another ear-piercing scream escaped the dirty-blonde vampire's mouth and she dropped to the ground kneeling as the burning of her soulmate's body resulted in the immediate disconnection of their bond, causing Luna to feel the gaping hole sitting in the middle of heart where once lied the bond she has with the most important person in her life.

The loss of her soulmate seemed to weaken her entire body. All she could feel was the pain and the grief that swallowed her whole like a tidal wave enveloping her whole being.

A smirk tugged on Aro's lips as he nodded at the vampires, sending then the signal of capturing the girl while she's weak and grieving.

Two vampires grabbed Luna by the arms and dragged her away from the burning body of the love of her life. She thrashed weakly against their grasps as she fixated her gaze on the flames, dancing in the music of her grief.

The scenes that came next became too fast too furious for Luna to handle.

The next thing she knew, her favorite wolf, Seth, was dead, the ground was split in half, Leah sacrificed herself in order to save Esme, Jackie saved her girlfriend from the Volturi, and Embry mauled a vampire a little too much for almost decapitating Aurora.

She felt incredibly numb as she was held in place beside Aro. She felt as if she had lost all motivation in the world. Her aggression was gone and all that was left was the pain coming from the great love that she has for her dead husband.

She was about to let herself join Jasper, wherever he might be, until a certain voice echoed in her mind.

"I figured your potential is associated with your emotions. Apparently, your aggression is stronger than most. You should work on that. Aggression isn't the only key." Alistair stated.

Her aggression wasn't the only key to unlocking her full potential. There was still an emotion that is equally powerful, if not, even more powerful. Her love for the people that stood beside them in this war, especially to the ones who died.

As she kneeled to the ground next to Aro with two vampires still holding her tightly, she closed her eyes and channeled both Benjamin's and Kate's ability which she had copied days before.

The sound of the loud clap of the thunder caused everyone to briefly look at their surroundings as everything became dimly lit. The wind started to blow harsher than ever, enough to even make their feet slide against the snow.

White flashes of lightning snaked through the air and made contact with the snowy ground of the field, somehow creating trails of blazing fire around the field, serving as a barrier that trapped both the good and the evil in the area. There was no turning back. It will end there and now.

"Stop her, now!" Caius ordered the vampires holding Luna.

Before they could do anything, Luna already electrocuted both vampires at the same time they were devoured by hungry flames.

One vampire tackled her and they were sent rolling against the snow, moving further away from the Volturi and into the center of the battlefield.

Luna got back up to her feet again with a nonchalant expression on her face as she looked at the vampire that dared to touch her.

The vampire even had the courage to come after her once again before he was struck by lightning, courtesy of the all-powerful Luna Hale.

Once that vampire was dealt with, her eyes roamed around the area, searching for a particular someone that she wants to suffer and kill personally.

Luna's fearsome gold eyes met Jane's intimidated crimson red ones and Luna lifted her head up slightly as she started walking towards her.

It was as if everything was in slow motion as she took one step after another, each step leaving a trail of fire behind her.

Jane was trying to inflict pain upon Luna but soon realized that her twin sister Bella was protecting her with her shield. Now all Jane got was the apathetic widow who happens to be the most powerful vampire to ever walk the earth.

All she could do was turn around and run away from Luna as fast as she could. She looked back to check where she was only to see her disappear and suddenly appear right in front of her.

Luna wrapped her hand around Jane's throat as she continued to walk, causing Jane to take steps backward.

The dirty-blonde vampire allowed herself to copy Jane's ability, letting its energy flow through her.

"It's time to taste your own medicine." Luna said, deadly calm.

Luna lets go of her as she took a few steps back, her gaze never wavering from the person that was the cause of her husband's death.

"Pain." Luna muttered.

Jane's shriek rang in everyone's ears as she once again felt the burning sensation that she felt when she was burned to death while she was human. Her back arched as she collapsed to the ground, thrashing as she could feel every inch of her burning.

The large black werewolf, Sam, appeared beside Luna. The copycat vampire placed a hand on his fur, once again feeling the euphoric feeling of electricity flowing through her as she copy.

She took the pain-infliction down and allowed Jane to have a few moments of comfort, before the vampire saw the way Luna's golden eyes turned bright yellow, a smirk tugging on her lips as she did.

The vampires aside from the Cullens were now given a chance to witness for themselves as Luna shapeshifted into her beautiful, majestic, white lioness form.

Jane staggered backward as she widened her eyes at the glowering lioness. Luna's bright yellow eyes glared at Jane, taking in all her frightened features before lunging after her and doing what she does best, maiming the people who dared to hurt her loved ones.

Jane's head was locked between the lioness's large teeth, finally pulling it away from her body and enveloping it in flames with a simple touch of Luna's claw.

What came next seemed like a blur but Luna was sure that the odds were in their favor.

Following Jane's death was Caius's and Marcus's, and the next was the most Luna had enjoyed, Aro's.

Bella and Edward successfully severed Aro's head from his body, leaving it rolling on the ground before it stopped, his eyes fixated on the couple.

Luna reverted back to her vampire form, immediately snatching a cape from a dead vampire and wearing it in order to cover her completely naked body.

Her barefoot sink slightly into the snow with every step she took towards Aro's head. Her hair rests past her shoulders, messy yet extremely beautiful. But even though her face held no emotion whatsoever, her eyes were telling a different story.

She stared at the severed head of Aro, letting him stare at her back for a few moments so that her face would be the last one he sees before he was sent to hell.

And with that, she set him on fire.

A gasp left Luna's lips as the vision Alice had shown Aro ended, pulling Luna back to reality.

"Darlin', what's wrong?" Jasper asked.

Luna whipped her head towards the honey-blonde vampire beside her, who was holding her hand, who was still standing, still breathing, still alive (sort of).

"Nothing." Luna muttered as she gazed into the gold eyes of the love of her life that she thought she won't ever see again. "I'm just glad you're with me."

A small smile tugged on both of their lips as Jasper brought their intertwined hands to his lips, kissing the back of her hand.

"Now you know." Alice finally spoke up, earning Aro's attention once more. "That's your future. Unless you decide on another course."

"We cannot alter our course. The child still posed a grave threat." Caius told Aro.

"But what if you were sure she could remain concealed from the human world. Could we leave in peace?" Edward asked.

"Of course, but that cannot be known." Caius responded as Alice backed away and was joined by Jackie.

"Actually, it can." Edward said.

Each and every one of their attention then shifted towards the sound of footsteps lightly sinking in the cold white snow as two people emerged out of the woods. One female and one male in their native clothing.

They all watched as the two walk past them, making their way near the Volturi before stopping, placing enough distance between them and the Volturi.

"I've been searching for witnesses of my own among the Ticuna tribes of Brazil." Alice said.

Luna couldn't help but notice the sound of one's strange heartbeat, yet still has the scent of a vampire mixed with a human's, much like Renesmee.

"We have enough witnesses." Caius said.

"Oh for God's sake just let them speak." Luna groaned in annoyance.

Everyone turned to Luna as Edward warned her.

"Luna." Edward said in a warning tone.

"Luna." Luna said, mocking the way Edward said her name.

The bronze-haired vampire simply looked away and focused on the situation at hand.

"I am half-human, half-vampire. Like the child." The man began. "A vampire seduced my mother, who died giving birth to me. My aunt, Huilen, raised me as her own. I made her immortal."

The female vampire looked at the man before looking back at the Volturi.

"How old are you?" Bella asked as she stepped forward.

The two vampires turned their gazes towards Bella and Edward, Alice looking back at them as well before the man answered.

"A hundred and fifty years." The man replied.

A sigh of relief left Bella's lips as she turned to Edward, knowing that their child's life would be as immortal as every vampire's.

"At what age did you reach maturity?" Aro asked, making them turn back to the Volturi.

"I became full-grown seven years after my birth. I have not changed since then." The man said.

Bella glanced at her daughter, a smile appearing on both their lips as the questions that were once lingering in their minds and haunting them were now finally getting answered.

"What about your diet?" Luna asked, as curious as everyone else.

"Blood, human food. I can survive on either." Said the man.

Luna pouted as she muttered under her breath. "Lucky."

"These children are much like us." Marcus said, amazed by the remarkable discovery.

"Regardless, the Cullens have been consorting with the werewolves. Our natural enemies." Caius said, always finding a way to pin them down to the point that it pissed Luna off.

"This hijo de puta." Luna mumbled as she made a move to attack Caius for being unreasonable, sending Luna over the edge.

Aurora couldn't help but smile as she internally cheered for Luna using the Spanish words she had taught her back on the island.

Jasper snaked his arms around his wife's waist before she could go any further, keeping her in place.

"Selene, now's not the time to be a Luna-tic." Jasper told her.

"But he's pushing my buttons." Luna said.

"Everything is working out, darlin'. Just calm down." Jasper said, loosening his grip around her waist and simply settled on hugging her as they watch Aro turn towards his people.

"Dear ones, there is no danger here. We will not fight today." Aro announced.

Caius, more irritated than he was when they arrived, looked at Aro with a disapproving look before walking away. The rest of the Volturi followed shortly thereafter.

Alice and Jackie finally joined their family again, who missed each other dearly in the days that they were gone.

They all sped their way away from the Cullens and the witnesses that have grown attached to the miracle child. Aro stopped to look back at each and every one of them, as if registering their faces into his mind, especially Alice and Luna's.

"Such a prize." Aro muttered, before turning around speeding away.

The relief that covens and the nomads had washed over them once they were all gone, sparing themselves a fight today. All were relieved, but the Romanian coven.

"We have them on the run. Now is the time to attack!" Vladimir ranted as he and Stefan walked at a fast pace towards Carlisle.

"Not today." Carlisle told them before walking away and joining the rest.

Vladimir and Stefan continued to widen their eyes in surprise as they realized that the chance to fight the Volturi was once again postponed.

"You're all fools! The Volturi might be gone, but they will never forgive what happened here." Stefan stated out loud.

However, the rest only smiled and laughed, ignoring his statement and continuing to rejoice in surpassing yet another problem.

Vladimir simply placed a hand on Stefan's shoulder before they speed out of there, not bothering to say goodbye considering their disappointments.

Bella and Edward couldn't help the joy they felt as their daughter was now out of harm's way and the anomaly surrounding Renesmee's whole being was now answered, thanks to Alice and Jackie.

Each of the vampires cherished the presence of their loved ones as they exchanged hugs, alleviated to have their freedom once again.

Benjamin smiled down at his redhead mate and pulled her close before planting a passionate kiss on her lips. Valerie immediately wrapped her arms around his neck as she smiled into the kiss, feeling thankful for the chance to love once again.

Aurora smiled sweetly at her werewolf, leaning towards her to lower his head, allowing Aurora to pet him and kiss him on the head.

Carlisle and Esme exchanged kisses, as well as Rosalie and Emmett, and Jackie and Alice.

Jasper, considering he's still hugging Luna from behind, spun her around fast. The dirty-blonde vampire giggled at her husband before grabbing hold of his shoulders and jumping, wrapping her legs around his waist, which he swiftly caught before crashing her lips into his.

The soulmates soon pulled away as they gazed into each other's eyes.

"You have no idea how crazy the vision was." Luna said, her face getting serious. "I thought I lost you."

Jasper simply smiled at the girl, not even a sign of worry can be hinted at from his face.

"You'd never lose me, Mrs. Hale. We're together till the moon's upside down, remember?" Jasper said.

Luna smiled genuinely as she placed a hand on his cheek, proceeding in gazing into his golden-brown eyes lovingly. She then closed her eyes and let their foreheads touch, making Jasper flutter his eyes closed as well.

"Till the moon's upside down." Luna whispered in response.
