41. Mr. & Mrs. Hale

ONCE IN A BLUE MOON

WHITE. BLUE. GOLD.
The stroke of the soothingly soft bristles of the brush across the bride's eyelids created a shimmer of color that seemed to brighten up her pale face. It glittered with silver and pale gold shine, perfectly engulfed with elegance and sophistication.
White. Blue. Gold.
The groom gently smooths down his dashing black tuxedo, letting himself enjoy the velvety texture of the fabric, reminding him of the comfort of his bed with his fiancé snuggled up in his arms.
Her lustrous blonde hair fell beautifully across her back in subtle waves, waves which resembled the calm ocean that she and her fiancé frequently watch as they sat on the edge of the high cliff, the orange, setting sun leaving sparkles on their cold skins.
White. Blue. Gold.
The collar of his white dress shirt underneath his black blazer was pointing upwards as the groom wrapped the long black velvety fabric around his neck, looping it around until the said piece of fabric created a neat bow in the middle of his collar.
The brush leaving pinkish tints on the bride's cheeks restored the look of warmth on her face in spite of the freezing exterior that she had. She couldn't help but smile as she brushed her fingertips along the lace of her dress, sending a wave of excitement and nervousness throughout her entire cold, hard body.
White. Blue. Gold.
The groom lightly stroke his honey-blonde hair in place, sweeping it back which was a style that any of the Cullens rarely witness. He couldn't hide the dimple that appeared on his cheek when an exhilarated smile curled on his lips.
White. Blue. Gold.
White, and blue, and gold.
These were the three words that the dirty-blonde vampire had been repeating over and over again inside her head as a way to calm her nerves and remind herself of what was waiting for her in the very place where all of the people she loves stood.
White. White mulberry silk drapes were decorated along either side of the aisle, something that would guide her towards the love of her life. White symbolizes new beginnings in which Luna and Jasper have been looking forward to since the moment the girl said 'yes'.
Blue. Delphinium flowers delicately hung above the people's heads, embellished with little green leaves that gave color to the whole venue to pair with the mostly white decorations. Delphinium symbolizes joy that the bride and groom have laughed over the whole time that they've known and unconditionally loved each other.
Gold. Luna hoped that while she walks down the aisle embellished with a beautiful white carpet, she would not see anyone or anything but her groom and his charming gold eyes, luring her to the future that involved nothing of worry, trouble, and sadness but of pure bliss, contentment, and love.
White.
Blue.
Gold.
"You've been saying that for three hours now." Jackie said.
The dirty-blonde vampire clad in her stunning white wedding gown snapped out of her self-induced trance as she stood before a huge mirror that reflected the beauty that is Luna Swan, soon to be Hale.
"I'm trying to keep myself from freaking out and punching a hole in the nearest wall..." Luna responded monotonously. "or face."
She placed her hand on her waist, where the lace, illusion top of the gown met the poofy tulle skirt. Cocking her head to the side, the young woman eyed herself through the mirror.
Nothing felt real at the moment. She felt like she was in a dream. As a matter of fact, everything that happened since she moved to Forks felt like one long dream. It was too good to be true that she was about to get married to her soulmate. And she was scared. She was afraid that suddenly, she would just wake up and find herself tucked in her dark teal bed back in Phoenix.
"I'm not dreaming, right?" Luna mumbled, her tone still stuck in her monotonous voice.
Jackie narrowed her eyes and flicked Luna's forehead, causing the vampire to abruptly snap her surprised gaze towards the human Cullen with her face questioning what the girl just did.
"Did you just flick me?" Luna said, her perfectly shaped eyebrows pushing together.
"You're not dreaming, Luna. This is real." Jackie responded.
Jackie moved to stand behind Luna, adjusting the long trail of her gown. Luna didn't move her gaze from where Jackie previously stood. She once again dove back into her thoughts.
This was real. This was the realest everything has been. The engagement ring glinting at the corner of her eye was real. The uncanny absence of her heartbeat inside her chest was real. The scent of Jackie's human blood lingering under her nose giving her agitating cravings was real. Her lace and tulle wedding gown embracing her perfection of a figure, fitting her like a glove was real. The long trail of veil sitting from the top of her head and down across her back was real. They were real. She really was getting married.
"I need to punch something. I need a wall. A face would do fine, too." Luna said, her anxiety about everything around her increasing.
It felt like she could almost feel her heart pounding against her chest, albeit there was not even the slightest chance that it's possible. Nevertheless, that's what she believed.
"Would it make you feel better if I volunteer mine?" a voice from behind spoke.
Luna didn't need to turn and see whose raspy voice that was, partly because she had deemed the voice really familiar, but mostly because she could see Paul's reflection through the mirror, standing behind her.
"Maybe." Luna responded absentmindedly.
An apologetic smile tweaked on the shapeshifter's lips when she answered. Three more people appeared and stood next to Paul. Embry, Quil, and Jared glanced at the bride and they couldn't help but gawk at her. Seeing her in such a dress made them nothing but speechless.
"Woah." Jared muttered, his eyes fixated on the young woman.
"You look incredible." Quil said, his facial expression not far from Jared's.
"Marry me instead." Embry said as he, Jared, and Quil proceeded to stare at the girl rather stupidly.
Luna rolled her eyes at the shapeshifters, but she couldn't hide the small smile that toned down her displeased expression.
Paul flickered his gaze between the three werewolves that stood next to him before he pushed his eyebrows together and spoke.
"Stop staring." Paul said, making the three immediately look away.
Jackie was still standing next to Luna, the bottom of her gown slightly caressed the reflective and polished floor when she turned to glance at the bride.
"I'll check if Alice is done with her makeup." Jackie uttered, before briefly grazing her eyes on the four shapeshifters and swiftly exiting the room, leaving the bride with them.
"Bold of you to show up on my wedding day." Luna stated, clasping her hands together in front of her as it rested on top of the tulle skirt of her gown.
Each of the werewolves displayed equally awkward movements such as rubbing the back of their necks, shoving their hands inside their pockets, and looking down to the ground as they played with their feet.
"Well, we thought that since Sam and Jacob made up...we should patch things up, too." Paul said, his eyes pleading for her forgiveness.
"We all feel really guilty about what happened." Jared said.
"Yeah, we're really sorry." Embry added.
"Please be our cool girl best friend again." Quil said, pouting.
Luna roamed her blue eyes (because of the contact lenses) around the faces of the men before her, crossing her arms as she did. There was definitely guilt. She knew that they were regretting what they had done to her family. She wished she could forgive them that easily but then again, they stopped coming after Renesmee not because they had a change of heart, but because their most absolute law prohibited them from hurting her.
"Saying sorry for trying to kill my niece is like yelling hallelujah after being tortured by Satan's little demon helper." Luna stated, her gaze not softening as she eyed the four.
"Then, we'll do everything for you to forgive us 'til the day we die." Embry said, raising his right hand as he pledged.
"Your death will come sooner than expected if you don't go down to the venue right now. This is the girls' quarters." The bride said, unfolding her arms and placing her hands on her hips.
Replies of 'okay', 'right', and 'of course' fell out of Embry, Jared, and Quil's lips before they hurriedly exited the room. Paul, on the other hand, seemed like his feet were attached to the floor. He didn't even budge, the same can be said with his gaze towards the vampire.
"Do you have a death wish or something?" Luna said, looking confusedly at the remaining werewolf in the room.
"I signed up for a death wish the moment I became friends with you." Paul said.
Luna simply rolled her eyes before turning around and letting herself be lost in her own reflection once again. Paul followed and stood behind her, looking at the stunning bride through the mirror.
"If you shout 'I object' during the ceremony, I'll shove my three-inch Louboutin heels down your throat." Luna threatened.
Paul cracked a smile as he lowered his gaze to the ground. Hearing Luna's aggressive yet sarcastic remark made him feel more at ease. Some would be weird as to why he was feeling more comfortable when Luna's being her hostile self, but when one had known Luna for a long time, they'd learn that sarcastic Luna was most of the time better than a serious one.
"You don't need to worry about that." Paul said, lifting his head back up to meet the girl's eyes through the mirror. "I've—uhm—imprinted."
Luna cocked an eyebrow his way, turning around with her hands still on her hips.
"Well, well, well. Who's this unlucky person?" Luna asked, genuinely intrigued by the new information.
"Rachel Black." Paul answered.
Luna's eyes widened into the size of saucers when the name rolled of Paul's tongue, leaving the vampire in shock.
"Jake's sister?" She asked.
"Yep." Paul replied.
"Oh my God. Well, that's something." Luna said, before walking past Paul to get to her vanity and retouch some of her makeup.
"It is. It's going really well." Paul said, shoving his hands inside his pocket as he turned towards her.
Silence swallowed up the whole room. The two simply stared at each other through the vanity mirror, not knowing who should speak and break the silence first. After a couple more seconds of basking in the silence, Paul took it upon himself to sever the tranquility dancing in the air and speak up.
"Be happy, psycho. You of all people deserve to be happy." Paul said, his smile resembling that of sincerity.
A smile broke into her lips, mirroring the warmth of Paul's before the man nodded and headed towards the door.
She was once again left alone in her room, gazing at her own reflection, dealing with her own nerves, repeating the words of 'white', 'blue' and 'gold'.
"White. Blue. Gold." Luna muttered under her breath as she kept her shoulders steady. "White. Blue. Gold."
"White. Blue. Go—" She stopped. Someone's voice resonated in the hallways of the Cullen house, echoing in the ears of the bride, and she didn't know what to feel.
"Alice?" Called out Renee as she stepped into the room, only to find her daughter looking at herself through the tall mirror of the vanity she was standing in front of.
Renee didn't have the strength to take her eyes off her daughter. Instead, Luna clearly heard the silent, almost inaudible gasp that left the woman's mouth once her eyes had landed on the bride.
It was supposed to be awkward. Luna was supposed to feel weird with all the staring that her mother was doing. It felt like they had been in the same state for over a minute. Every second that has passed counted the beautiful features that the woman could identify by simply standing six feet away from the bride.
"Hey." Luna said, finally taking it upon herself to break the long, but comfortable silence.
Luna's voice echoing in Renee's ears seemed to snap the woman out of her thoughts, stopping herself from specifying more of her ethereally magnificent features.
"You look so beautiful." Renee said, proceeding to look at the girl with pure admiration.
Luna pursed her lips to keep the smile from tugging on her lips, her stubborn self once again resurfacing automatically because she didn't really like communicating with her mom the moment she sent her daughter to another state.
"I know." Luna replied, looking away as she did.
Renee, unlike her daughter, didn't bother to hide the proud smile that stretched on her lips as her eyes glistened with tears, both of joy and sadness. She was happy because after everything that Luna had been through, she finally has something that she can hold close to her heart. But she was also sad, because she was giving her daughter to the rest of her life without even being the mother that she deserved.
Slowly and reluctantly, Renee approached the bride without wavering her gaze from her. She clasped her hands together anxiously while her happy yet sad smile lingered on her lips.
"You're still mad at me, aren't you?" Renee asked.
Luna met Renee's gaze again through the mirror, but not a word came out of her mouth. At first, Luna thought it was because she was being stubborn again. But that was hardly the reason now.
When Luna remained silent, Renee continued to speak.
"I'm sorry. If I left you here." Renee said, pausing because she was hoping that the young woman would at least utter a single word. But that single word caused her eyebrows to gulp.
"No." Luna said.
Renee pursed her lips and swallowed hard before lowering her gaze to her fingers that kept fiddling with each other as the ambiance started to become heavy.
"No, I'm not mad at you." Luna continued, making Renee look up at her daughter once again. "If anything, I should be thanking you."
Renee slightly furrowed her eyebrows at her. She didn't get a chance to ask what Luna meant when she proceeded to speak.
"If you hadn't sent me away to this town, I wouldn't have been this happy... I wouldn't have met him." Luna said, feeling herself get emotional, something that doesn't happen very often. "You led me to the love of my life, mom. I can never thank you enough for that."
Renee couldn't hold back the tears that were pooling in her eyes anymore and she finally let it all trickle down her cheeks only for her to wipe it away quickly before she stood next to her daughter and placed a hand on her back while they both stared at each other through the mirror.
"Oh, honey. You two are soulmates. One way or another, you'll always find your way to each other." Renee responded.
If Luna could cry right now, every tear that would fall down her cheeks would be the same number Luna would say 'thank you' to her mom. And it would be a lot.
Luna simply smiled. She missed her mom. It felt nice to see and talk to her again.
Renee widened her smile before side-hugged the girl, noticing how cold Luna had gotten.
"You're freezing. Are you that nervous?" Renee asked.
Luna pushed her lips into a thin line before she nodded.
"Yeah." She answered while she nodded.
Renee laughed softly, which was supposedly contagious considering that Luna giggled right after.
Meanwhile, Charlie walked up the stairs, planning on checking in on his daughter when he came across the room where Jasper and his groomsmen were hanging out.
The chief of the family slid his hands inside the pockets of his dress pants and deeply exhaled before taking steps towards the open door and knocking on it to make his presence known, even though they already recognize the man's presence through their vampire senses.
Nevertheless, they acted as if they had no clue that he was there until he knocked.
"Hey there." Charlie greeted rather awkwardly.
Everyone turned to the man and greeted him back with polite smiles. They sensed, or rather Edward sensed because of his ability to read minds, that Charlie was debating about whether or not he should talk to Jasper before the ceremony starts. They don't really talk that much, but they were closer than him and Edward.
"We'll just check if everything else is ready." Edward said, motioning for the others to come with.
Everyone did as Edward said and continued to give Charlie friendly smiles as they walked past him and out the door.
The man brought back his gaze towards the groom, who stood straight and his hands tugging on the blazer of his tuxedo.
"Chief Swan." Jasper greeted with a nod, as awkwardly as Charlie was standing in the doorway.
A small smile appeared on Charlie's lips as he entered the room further, his eyes looking away from the honey-blonde vampire because he felt too awkward to glance at the man for too long.
"Call me 'Charlie'. You're already marrying my daughter, for God's sake." Charlie said.
Jasper stifled a laugh, looking down at the ground before looking back up to respond.
"I like to remind myself that you'd shoot me with your gun when I so much as put a sad look on Selene's eyes." Jasper joked.
Charlie nodded as his smile slightly increased.
"And this is why I like you more than Edward." Charlie admitted.
The two swam in silence for a couple of seconds after soft and slightly awkward laughs filled the room. Jasper had no idea how to start another conversation with his future father-in-law.
Luckily, Charlie had something in mind after Jasper called Luna 'Selene' again.
"You know she hates being called 'Selene', right?" Charlie asked.
"I know." Jasper answered.
Charlie nodded, pursing his lips and looking away before he continued.
"We got such brutal punishments from her when we called her that. But, she doesn't seem to mind when you do it. She loves you so much that she's fine with you calling her that. " Charlie said.
Jasper smiled, every nice thing that Charlie awkwardly tells Jasper was giving him more reason to smile wider. The honey-blonde vampire didn't want to be grinning too much that he lowered his head to the ground and kept his smile to an appropriate extent before Charlie spoke again.
"Take care of my daughter, Jasper. Make her happy. God knows how much she deserves it." Charlie said.
Charlie couldn't hide his glistening eyes as he recalled the difficult times Luna had to overcome. The tough times that no one her age should be going through. Times that had her questioning why she was even born. Seeing his daughter in such a state was like running over Charlie's heart with a truck before it was completely pulverized.
No one should have to go through extremely painful experiences, not even someone as brutal and as fearsome as Luna.
"I'll make her happy till the day I die." Jasper said.
Til the day I die. Charlie didn't know it, but that phrase was Jasper's way of telling him that considering he can't die, he will forever make the love of his life utterly happy.
─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───
It was as if gravity had abandoned its responsibilities, for Luna felt like she was walking, floating in mid-air. She hadn't reached the aisle just yet, but every click that her Louboutin soles made that inched her closer to the love of her life ignited a spark that was so strong, it made her feel like she was alive again.
"White. Blue. Gold." Luna chanted once again.
Her dad, whose arm was linked around hers as they made their way towards the main venue, glanced at the young woman.
"What are you doing?" Charlie asked.
Luna looked at him with still frantic eyes before looking away again before she responded.
"Calming myself down. I don't want to punch anyone on my wedding day out of panic." Luna replied.
Charlie's eyes hardly widened at Luna's response, a bit concerned for his own safety.
"Didn't think I would be worried about you punching me on your wedding day." Charlie said.
This caused Luna to glance at her father as a smile cracked on her lips, which did the job of easing her nerves even just for a little bit.
The state of her gliding as if she was walking in mid-air continued for a few more seconds before everything, the ceremony she had been dreaming of, began.
[A/N: You can play Jasmine Thompson's cover of "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" for this scene. I listened to it while writing this part and I cried skaljflfaljf.]
White was the color of the Mullberry silk drapes that represents the new beginnings that she and her future husband would be lucky to have.
Blue was the color of the delphinium flowers hovering above their heads that gave a splash of color to the whole scene, the flowers symbolized the pure bliss that the bride and the groom would be promising each other for the rest of their lives, in their case, forever.
She proceeded to let her shoes touch the white carpet of the aisle, glancing around the venue to look at the things that kept her from halting her steps. She still felt the lingering sense of fear and anxiety inside her until her blue eyes landed on him.
There he was.
Gold was the color of his eyes that the bride admired, always letting herself get lost in the paradise that she had imagined would be hidden inside those beautiful golden eyes. His eyes seemed to chase away the nerves that were camping inside Luna and she now felt...exhilirated.
His gold eyes landing on the bride, his bride, clad in her lace top and tulle skirt wedding gown was undoubtedly the most quintessential image he had ever seen in his entire existence. The way her silky blonde hair fell over her shoulders in perfectly fine waves. The way a smile crept its way into her lips she finally saw her groom.
And her eyes...Don't even get him started with her eyes.
With her blue contact lenses on, he couldn't help but reminisce the first time that he and Luna met in front of the Swan Residence.
Luna speeds out of the house, so quickly that in a matter of seconds, she already bumped into a huge rock, or at least that's what it felt like. When she brought her gaze up to the very thing she bumped into, that's when she realized that what she bumped into was far from a huge rock, she actually bumped into what she could only assume was an angel due to his ethereally beautiful features.
His cold, gold, and amber eyes were looking down at her with a nonchalant face. His honey blonde locks sat neatly on top of his head. His incredibly pale white complexion almost blinded her, figuratively speaking of course.
His eyes then scan the girl in front of her. She had stormy blue eyes that had speckles of gray in it. Her black wavy hair falling just past her shoulders, the two streaks of blue-green hair from either side of her head adding a bit more personality to her appearance. Her skin was pale as well, but not as pale as his.
"Uhm...Watch where you're going?" Luna said, an irritated expression on her face.
His nonchalant face turned into a confused and offended one when she said that. She was the one who bumped into him. He was simply standing there.
Now, that same irritating and audacious raven-haired and stormy-blue eyed girl was now walking down the aisle with him at the end. Who knew that all of this started with the little clumsiness that Luna had?
Luna could see how dazed his groom had become. He was gazing at her, yes. However, it seemed like his mind had wandered somewhere else, more specifically, the times they have shared leading up to this very moment.
If Jasper was to choose on what day he wishes to be stuck in for the rest of his life, playing it on loop, would be this very day. Never in a million years will he get bored of seeing the love of his life walk towards him like some kind of an angel that blessed him with sheer delight.
He was only to snap back to reality when the bride and her father finally reached him.
Charlie nodded once at Jasper as he finally gave the last of his daughters to the new chapter of her life.
"Good luck, Jasper. You're gonna need it." Charlie told Jasper.
The honey-blonde groom couldn't help but grin at his future father-in-law's remark while the dirty-blonde bride shot glares at the two most important men in her life.
"You're both gonna need it if you continue to act as if I'm not standing here." Luna said.
Charlie simply smiled and kissed his daughter's forehead before leaving her side.
Luna held hands with the love of her life as she stood in front of him, his smile never wavering as she did.
"Hi." Jasper said.
"Hi." Luna replied.
Jasper squeezed the young woman's hands gently as he caressed the back with his thumbs.
"You look remarkable." Jasper said.
"And you look sexy." Luna responded, which caused Jasper, and the others who were bestowed with enhanced hearing, to stifle a laugh.
The priest officially started the ceremony and the bride and the groom never once looked away from each other. As far as their concerned, they were the only ones in the venue, with the echo of the priest's voice resonating in their ears.
Charlie sat with Renee, Sue, and the rest of the Quileute pack, while the Olympic Coven sat together.
Luna and Jasper wanted the wedding to have a few guests only. All they wanted was the people who had been there when they were at their highest, as well as their lowest.
"Now, the bride and groom have their vows to share." The priest announced.
Jasper couldn't avoid squeezing his bride's hands before he started to share his vows.
"Selene Swan, my strong and sarcastic darlin'. I vow to never leave your side, to always hold your hand through our highest and lowest, to cherish you and your interestingly hostile ways, to always be the music behind your angelic voice. I vow to love you, till the moon's upside down." Jasper vowed, his smile never faltering from his lips, his eyes never wavering from the love of his life.
Luna smiled widely and brightly as she prepared to recite her own vows.
"Jasper Whitlock Hale, my sweet and brave cowboy. I vow to always be by your side, to never put a frown on your face, unless I'm in the mood to pick on you, to always be the wife that gives you the love you deserve, to always sing my heart out for you. I vow to love you, till the moon's upside down." Luna said.
They took out the rings, which shined like diamonds in the night sky that Jasper and Luna would always stare at after making love with each other in their special place.
Slipping the ring into each other's fingers was one of the most exciting things either of them has ever experienced. It was an act of securing their future with their everlasting love.
"Do you Jasper Whitlock Hale, take Selene Swan to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?" The priest said.
Jasper looked straight into Luna's eyes, the image of her in a wedding dress and another of her from when they were standing outside the Swan Residence flashing before his eyes.
"I do." Jasper answered.
Luna couldn't help but gulp nervously when it was her turn to say the words.
"And do you Selene Swan, take Jasper Whitlock Hale to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?" The priest said, this time, his gaze fixed on the bride.
Luna gazed into the honey-blonde vampire's eyes, suddenly taking her into a memory of her and Jasper in his room, him playing the piano and her standing beside it as she sang. It was the first time he had played for her, and the first she had sung for him.
That's when Luna was completely sure, that she wants to sing with him for the rest of her life.
"I do." Luna said.
The smiles on everyone's faces were now showing with so much admiration for the two.
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. Jasper, you may kiss your bride." The priest finally announced.
Jasper wasted no time and crashed his lips into hers, something that he had been wanting to do ever since he saw her walking down the aisle.
A familiar spark ignited in their hearts, a spark that they first felt before they knew they were soulmates. And in their minds, flashed the memories of every time their lips met.
His hands snaked around her waist and back as hers rested on the back of his neck to pull him closer. The two smiled into the kiss when they heard the loud cheers of the people around them, the people who witnessed their love grow and strengthen.
Pulling away, they rested their forehead against each other as giggles left their lips. Jasper pulled her close and lifted her from the ground as he twirls them around, her wedding dress flowing freely.
"Mr. Hale, let me go!" Luna said in between laughs.
Jasper laughed and placed her back down on the ground before responding.
"Never, Mrs. Hale. I will never let you go." Jasper responded.
Luna couldn't help but place another passionate kiss on her husband's lips, earning another wave of cheers from the people they love and care about.
This truly had been the most amazing moment that has ever happened in Luna and Jasper's lives.
─── ❖ ── ✦ ── ❖ ───
The wedding reception was lively due to the dance moves the pack and the coven had shared. Luna insisted that a dance showdown should happen between them but they only threw their napkins at the bride in disagreement, causing Luna to almost grab the cello from the band and throw it at them as well.
Luckily, just like Jasper had vowed to do, he never left her side and kept her from throwing the musical instrument at their wedding guests.
Now, the bride and the guests are sat down on their assigned tables with their food in front of them.
The seat beside Luna was empty, causing her to wonder where her husband went only to find him standing on stage before the mic as he spoke.
"Good evening, everyone." Jasper said.
Everyone turned their gazes to the honey-blonde vampire who held a glass of champagne in his right hand as he spoke into the microphone.
"I'd like to make a toast, to my beautiful wife." Jasper said, planting a smile on the bride's face.
"Selene, the first time we met, you annoyed the hell out of me. And I know that everyone here could say the same. You had a total of sixteen nicknames for me in only a week. It's surprising how creative a person can be when they enjoy mocking other people." Jasper said, triggering a wave of laughter in the audience.
"You were irritating, brutal, and incredibly loud. And to be honest, I think those are the reasons why I love you even more. You're not like the rest of the girls. You don't take crap from anyone. You don't need anyone to sort out your problems. And you win every argument by making their ears ring, including mine. You're extraordinary, Selene. And I'm so lucky to have you as my best friend, my singer, and my wife." Jasper added.
Luna couldn't help but place a hand over her mouth as the words that Jasper had let go sent her non-beating heart leaping in joy.
"I want to end this toast with a song that I wrote for you, darlin'." He said.
The bride widened her eyes in both shock and realization. She remembered Jasper's voice echoing in her ears while she was asleep and in transition. She remembered that he had nothing better to do, so he wrote a song just for her.
This was it. This was the song. And Luna couldn't be more nervous and excited. She was gonna hear her cowboy sing.
Jasper sat in front of the white grand piano at the stage, looking back at his wife before letting himself press the keys of the piano.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
For what seemed like the hundredth time, she felt like gravity had abandoned her let her float in space as she watched and listened to her husband play the piano and sing.
Her husband was at stage, behind the piano, playing and singing.
Throughout the whole song that Jasper sang with his whole heart just for the love of his life, their eyes were locked with each other. Their gazes never even taking notice of the people in the venue.
For the whole four minutes, they absolutely ignored everyone around them and simply cherished the presence of one another in the night that made them officially husband and wife.
The song ended with a smooth outro and everyone clapped and cheered for the honey-blonde vampire with surprised expression plastered across their faces. None of them knew that the man could play and sing that good.
Jasper smiled at the guests and nodded in thanks before he stood up to make his way down the stage. But before he could, Luna rose from her seat, lifted up the front of her gown, and ran towards her husband at normal speed.
She ran towards the stage and wrapped her arms around Jasper's before crashing her lips into his.
The honey-blonde vampire smiled into the kiss before tangling his right hand in her dirty-blonde hair and his left hand pulling her closer by the waist.
"Yeah!" Emmett cheered as he raised his glass, causing others to raise theirs as well for the newly married couple.
The two pulled away and shared a genuinely warm smile as giggles left their lips.
Luna turned towards the crowd and grabbed the microphone from the stand next to the piano.
"In all honesty, I just really wanted to run in a gown. It looked so good in movies and I wanted to do it, but I can't exactly run out of my own wedding so I just ran here." Luna said, her voice echoing in the large speakers.
"Of course, she did." Edward whispered in Bella's ear which Luna heard all too well, causing her to lift a middle finger towards the bronze-haired vampire.
"We're married." Jasper muttered, still holding his wife in disbelief.
"We really are." Luna said.

JASPER AND LUNA ARE MARRIED!! AGAIN, SCREAM WITH ME! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Writing this actually picked me up from my emotional break down earlier. If y'all follow me, you'd what it is about. It's great how a couple of fictional characters can make you feel better.
I swear, I'm so attached to them omg. I even cried while writing the wedding scene because Jasmine Thompson's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" song cover perfectly fits the scene, like, I can imagine Luna walking down the aisle and Jasper looking at her adoringly while that song plays in the background, like in the movie ugh. So precious.
I hope you guys liked how this chapter went. It took time for me to write it because I want this to be great since of course, it's their freaking wedding! Plus, this has 6.2k words jsjsksksks.
But, as beautiful and as pleasant their wedding had been, the next chapter would be the complete opposite...
xoxo Sammy
