JASPER AND EMMETT went out to track the stench of the vampire that lurked on the Swans' residence earlier this evening. The rest of the Cullens, as well as the Swan twins and Jackie, are gathered in the living room with the same stern expression resting on their faces.
"Who is it? Someone we know?" Carlisle asked Edward who was standing before them with his body stiffening in anxiety.
"A stranger. I didn't recognize his scent." Edward answered.
"A nomad passing through?" Esme wondered.
"A passerby wouldn't have left Bella and Luna's father alive." Rose pitched in. It was true though. If it was a nomad, it would've killed Charlie in a matter of seconds. But all it did was stalk the whole house and then leave.
Just after Rosalie spoke, Jasper and Emmett came back with uneasy expressions plastered across their faces.
"Emmett and I recognized the scent." Jasper said, causing everyone to turn towards him and Emmett.
"Really?" Esme said.
Jasper's eyes averted to the raven-haired girl and he sighs knowing that the news he'll deliver will probably bother her.
"We think it's the same vampire that's responsible for Jeremy's disappearance." Jasper said.
Immediately at the mention of her rapist's name, the girl stiffened in her seat as her gaze was brought down to her fingers. Her jaw clenched as she tried her best to block out the memories she so desperately wants to forget.
When the honey-blonde vampire notices the change in Luna's mood, he instantly sped towards her and sat beside her, reaching for her hand to hold it. Luna looks at their intertwined hands and looks up at Jasper's golden eyes where she suddenly found comfort.
"The scent disappeared about five miles south at the Swan Residence." Emmett told them as he made his way over to his mate, placing a hand on her shoulder.
Jackie was simply sitting there, looking like she still can't wrap her head around everything that's going on. Vampires and Jeremy's disappearance? If she finds out werewolves are gonna come out next, she's sure she's gonna faint for the second time around.
"Someone's orchestrating this." Said Carlisle.
The rest of the conversation seemed to be tuned out in Luna's hearing, like she was locking herself in her own mind as she thinks about what was happening.
Some vampire was in their house, while Charlie was home. He could've gotten hurt or worse. Then she finds out that the same vampire was also the one to blame for Jeremy's sudden disappearance from the woods.
If this really is someone messing with her and her family, how dare they? She was Luna Swan for God's sake. She made a teacher pee his pants in fear by just glaring at him. She made gangsters feel like babies. She got Phil hospitalized...twice. How dare someone try to mess her already messed-up life?
She thought about how she could get through this. Because apparently, as much as Luna likes to think that she's a strong girl (with issues, but still), this is an entirely different scenario because supernatural beings are involved in this situation.
But then again, she thought that if vampires her to drink her blood, then they would be worshipping her like a goddess because she keeps referring to her blood as type 'S' for Sarcasm, which allows her to call them her Luna-tic vampires. That would be a great masterplan.
After minutes of zoning out and keeping to herself, all while a small smile lingering on her lips like an idiot when she thought of her Luna-tic vampires, Luna seemed to snap out of it because of Rosalie's voice piercing through her bubble.
"Luna." Rosalie called, causing the girl to look at her abruptly. Rose narrows her eyes at Luna as she wondered. "Are you not nervous?"
The small smile on Luna's face seemed to give everyone the idea that she was not at all fazed by the fact that a certain vampire is lurking around their house.
Luna simply pushed her lips into a thin line, not entirely sure of what she's about to answer, until Edward took it upon himself to answer for her.
"She likes to think that her blood is type 'S' for 'Sarcasm'. That way she could build her little army of Luna-tic vampires." Edward told them.
Luna snapped her gaze towards the bronze-haired vampire with her eyes widened with betrayal.
"Snitch!" Luna exclaimed. "You just revealed my masterplan!"
Edward could only roll his eyes at her. Unfortunately, as much as that plan of hers was incredibly hilarious, now was not the time to laugh. This was serious. Bella's, Charlie's, and Luna's lives are in danger.
"Alice, can't you still see Jeremy's decisions?" Jasper asked her.
The pixie-haired girl glances at the former cheerleader next to her, grabbing her hand into hers gently to make her feel slightly less tensed before she responded.
"I still don't see anything. I'm sorry." Alice said.
"Are we not gonna consider that the bastard is probably and hopefully lying in a ditch somewhere?" Luna asked, internally hoping that that's what really happened.
"If that's the case, his body should've turned up by now." Bella said.
Luna shrugged before she responded.
"Or the killer's just really good at covering his tracks. I mean, I've watched God knows how many crime documentaries, I already know how to murder someone and cover it up." Luna responded, saying it as if murdering someone was just on her weekly Murder Mondays.
"Of course, you do." Jasper with a smirk before pulling in the girl and placing a kiss on the girl's forehead.

Bella's suggestion to involve the werewolves in this situation was a go. And just like expected, Jackie fainted for the second time around when she found out that werewolves exist.
The Cullens lurked in the shadows as they guarded the Swans, looking out for their safety. Luna could see Jasper's silhouette from the window, and the girl simply smiled before moving away.
The vampires and the werewolves didn't really have an easy alliance. With centuries of rivalry, it was hard to look past it. But they all had a common enemy and they will do whatever it takes to protect the ones they care about, even if it means teaming up with their complete opposites.
"Hey, daddy." Luna greeted when she got downstairs, seeing Charlie by the refrigerator to take out a beer.
"Hey, kiddo. How're you feeling?" He asked his daughter.
She was honestly fine, until her eyes landed on the beer Charlie is holding. Memories of the night she tried to push back in the back of her mind attempted to break free from its cage. But with her newly found comfort at the thought of Jasper looking out for her calmed her down.
"I'm fine." Luna said. She was already fine but she answered immediately after she calmed down that her response seemed a bit choked out.
Silence had fallen over them and it wasn't the type that's awkward. It was comfortable. Luna had been so comfortable with her dad, she was starting to prefer her life here than in Arizona. Okay, who was she kidding? She loved it here. Her life in Phoenix couldn't even compare to her life here in Forks.
The weather was constantly cold, which allows her to appreciate her bed even more. It was always raining, she loved the rain. Nobody knows what happened to her here. She has a strong relationship with her dad. She has a sister that she could make fun of whenever and wherever she wants. And she had the Cullens.
It was a life that she never asked, but was glad to have. She would never want to trade it for any other life.
"Daddy," Luna called out and Charlie simply hummed as he chugged a cold beer. "What if I tell you there's this boy that I like?"
A sign of amusement reaches Charlie's face. He wasn't used to this kind of conversation with his daughters, but her making an effort to talk to him about it certainly makes him feel more worthy of their secrets.
"Really? Who?" Charlie said, lowkey acting like he's one of Luna's girlfriends but the fatherliness in him was still dominant.
"Edward's brother, Jasper." Luna answered.
Charlie's face dropped when he found who the boy was. He felt like he couldn't escape the Cullens. They have both his daughters in their grasps.
"You've got to be kidding me." Charlie sighed.
"Nope." Luna said, popping the 'p'.
Charlie sighs deeply once more before opening the fridge once again.
"I'm gonna need another beer if I'm gonna be listening to all this."

Jacob and the pack decided to take the three girls, Bella, Luna, and Jackie, to a trip down at the reservation. Bella obviously had gone there already. But it was Luna and Jackie's first time, they're looking forward. And by that, they mean Luna's looking forward to it while Jackie continuously tells herself that everything's going to be okay and that the werewolves won't swallow her whole.
No one can blame her for being incredibly anxious though. The other day, the worst thing she had to deal with was her mother and Hannah. Now she knows about vampires and werewolves. The world in her point of view just went from dangerous to hellish shithole.
Edward, Bella, Alice, and Jackie arrived in the meet-up place with their silver car while Jasper and Luna arrived with his motorcycle.
Everyone climbs out of their vehicles and they looked at the shirtless Jacob leaning on his car with his arms crossed.
"Doesn't he own a shirt?" Edward complained.
"Who cares?" Luna said with her smile wide as she checked out Jacob's toned body.
Everyone except Jacob looked at Luna with confused expressions, Jasper's mixed with anger. When Luna caught a glimpse of Jasper's unhappy gaze, her smile immediately dropped.
"I care. Because it disgusts me and I only have eyes for my cowboy." Luna said in a rather awkward manner as she tried to regain Jasper's mood, which slightly. worked.
"You better." Jasper said before pulling the girl to his chest and hugged her.
The three said their goodbyes to their mates, giving them a kiss on the lips, aside from Luna, who still felt a bit uncomfortable kissing someone, even if it's Jasper.
Jasper didn't mind though. He has been saying multiple times that he'll wait no matter how long. There was no need to rush. He, as well as Luna, wanted their first kiss to be special and not something that would just remind her of her tragic past.
They made their way towards Jacob as their mates drove away.
"So, what do you girls wanna do today?" Jacob asked. "Bike? Hike? Hang? Your call. Or we're going to a party tonight."
The word 'party' instantly caused the raven-haired girl to freeze in her spot.
"A party? Like, music and alcohol and stuff?" Luna asked.
The change in Luna's mood was evident to the two girls, knowing her trauma. Bella was about to step in and tell Jacob that a party may not be a good idea until he spoke first.
"Not that kind of party. This will be just chill." Jacob replied before opening the car door and slipping into the driver's seat.
The three girls exchanged glances before Bella claimed shotgun and Luna and Jackie went in the backseat.
When they arrived, night has already fallen and the usual freezing breeze of Forks brushed through the hairs of the girls. Luna's hands were tucked deep inside the pockets of her jacket, trying to keep them warm as clouds of cold smoke form before her mouth every time she exhales.
The sight of a bright red and orange fire made the girl perked up in relief, at least she eas getting some warmth in this dreadfully cold evening.
"You sure this is okay? We don't want to be party crashers." Said Bella.
Luna scoffed at Bella's statement before she replied. "Speak for yourself."
She remembered the times back in Phoenix where she always crashes parties only to ruin them, like that one time she poured Laxatives in all of the punch bowls. That was nasty.
That changed when she went to her last party, of course. She now hated parties more than ever.
"Technically, you girls are Council Meeting crashers." Jacob stated as they walked towards the group of people surrounding the bonfire.
"See." Jacob pointed to the group. "The Council leaders, dad, Quil's grandpa, and Sue Clearwater." He added.
"She took over for Harry when he died." Jacob told Bella.
Jackie tilted her head as well as Luna s they observed the group before them.
"This is not what I was expecting when I thought of the werewolves' den." Jackie said, her eyes narrowed at them.
"I'm gonna agree with you on that one." Luna said.
Jacob smiles at the confusion of the girls as they stopped walking and simply stared at the group.
"They thought it would be good for you to hear the histories." Jacob told them.
"The histories? The tribe's histories? Aren't they secret?" Bella asked.
"We all got a role to play. And you are a part of this." Jacob said to Bella before he turned towards the two. "You two, not so much. But still."
Luna raised an eyebrow at the young man as she crossed her arms against her chest. "Rude."
Jacob shakes his head in amusement as he turned his gaze back on the group.
"It's the first time Seth, Leah, and Quil are hearing them, too. You three are the first outsiders. Ever." Jacob explained before the four of them proceeded to approach the group.
"Jake!" A slightly squeaky voice called out to Jacob and the three girls saw a boy running towards them, a young man following behind.
"Hey." Jacob greeted as he patted the boy's shoulder. It looked like he was the youngest one in the pack.
"It's about time you got here. Paul's been hoovering the grub. But, I saved you some burgers." Seth told him.
Jacob nodded and looked as if he was really proud of the boy for doing a small thing. But then again, it's about food.
"Good looking out, bro." Jacob told the boy.
The young man finally reached the five and he looked at Jackie with an awkward and anxious smile on his face.
"Hi." He said.
Jackie looks at him strangely before smiling at him in a rather awkward way.
"Girls, this Seth Clearwater, Leah's brother, and this is Embry Call. Guys, this is Jackie Morrison, Luna Swan, and of course, you already know Bella." Jacob introduced. "Seth is the newest member of the pack."
"Newest, bestest, brightest." Seth said and Jacob interrupted.
"And slowest." Jacob said before pulling the boy's head, ruffled his hair, and started goofing around while the three girls are left with Embry.
"You look really pretty." Embry told Jackie. He looked like he was a young boy having a cute little crush on Jackie. It was adorable.
But Jackie where this was going and decided to end it before it even begins, not wanting to hurt the guy's feelings.
"I'm really not into guys." Jackie politely told him.
The smile on Embry's face seemed to have disappeared in an instant. Luna being her usual self, took it upon herself to make the situation better, or in this case, worse.
"Oh, Jackie. You should've been more gentle." Luna told Jackie as she side-glanced her.
The raven-haired girl turned towards Embry.
"She's gay and she doesn't like you." Luna said, her straightforwardness ever-so-evident.
Embry raised his eyebrows as he was taken aback by Luna's sudden harshness.
"Woah. Bella was right. You are mean, probably even a psycho." Embry said, which placed a smirk on Luna's face.
"Please," Bella started as a smile appears on her face. "Luna puts the word 'psycho' to shame. I don't even know how I survived while sharing a womb with her."
"That's a miracle." Jackie commented.
The conversation of the four was cut short when Jacob and Seth finally finished fooling around and joined them.
"Hey, my dad's about to start. We should join them." Jacob told them and they nodded in agreement.
They gathered around the blazing bonfire in front of them and sat as they listened to the tribe's histories that Billy Black was more than willing to share with everyone.
"The Quileutes have been a small tribe from the beginning. But we've always had magic in our blood. We were great spirit warriors. Shapeshifters, that transform into the powerful wolf." Billy started.
The three girls watched Billy intently as they listened to him. Jackie was beyond curious about the newly found world she was now experiencing. So, she was paying attention more than ever. Bella has always been interested in the histories. For her, it seemed interesting. For Luna, well, this probably has been the longest that she hadn't utter a single word. She too was immersed in the whole story.
"This enabled us to scare off our enemies And protect our tribe. One day, our warriors came across a creature. It looked like a man, but it was hard as stone, and cold as ice. Our warriors' sharp teeth finally tore it apart. But only fire would completely destroy it. They lived in fear, the cold man was not alone. And they were right."
"She took her vengeance out on the village. Our elder chief, Taha Aki, was the only spirit warrior left to save the tribe after his son was killed. Taha Aki's third wife could see that he would lose. The third wife was no magical being, no special powers, but one...courage."
The three girls looked at Billy, trying to decipher the unreadable expression on his face as he continued to speak.
"The third wife's sacrifice distracted the cold woman long enough for Taha Aki to destroy her. She saved the tribe. Over time, our enemies have disappeared. But one remains. The cold ones." Billy said.
Bella, Jackie, and Luna couldn't help but feel uncomfortable knowing that some of those cold ones are their mates. They felt like they shouldn't even be there.
"Our magic awakens when they're near. And we sense it now, we feel the threat in our blood. Something terrible is coming. And we must all be ready." Billy said.
Billy then turned to look at the three girls before he spoke again.
"All of us."
