AFTER BEING MONITORED BY CARLISLE, Luna walked out of his home clinic like a zombie. She was dragging her feet, her gaze was straight ahead, and her face was apathetic.

It was as if her body was present and moving, but her mind had left her skull and wandered off to God knows where.

Luna made it to the balcony and the cold breeze hitting her skin sent goosebumps down her arms. It was still dark considering it's still past midnight. She could still see the moon high up in the night sky that reflected on her extraordinary gold eyes which were currently glossy.

Her eyes went down to her hands and she lifts one up to rest it on the railing of the terrace, her hand trembling in the process.

It still didn't stick to her that she was pregnant. And that she miscarried. Now that she thinks about it, there were already signs.

She was craving for pretty much any food. Her mood swings were worse than before. Carlisle said that she wasn't feeling any morning sickness yet because she was only three weeks pregnant. Typically, a pregnant woman starts to feel nauseous in her sixth week of pregnancy.

Unknowingly, her other hand made its way to her stomach, placing her palm over it. She was pregnant, and she was reckless enough to lose it.

Her lower lip quivered. She could feel a sob coming out, a tear about to roll down. But before any of that could happen, she felt a presence that stood behind her.

"Selene." Said Jasper. His voice was soft, not wanting to startle the raven-haired girl.

Luna looks over her shoulder and sees Jasper slowly approaching her. He stopped beside her and rests his arms on the railing, a foot of space between them. He wanted to tell her what Alice had told him. That Jackie avenged her by going after Hannah and getting what she needs to pin her and Jeremy for what they did to her. But now wasn't the time for that.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, which he, later on, found a dumb question because he's an empath and they both know how she's doing.

"You tell me." Luna said, her voice unlike her normal one. It was shaking and it was close to cracking.

Jasper was about to speak when Luna did.

"I didn't tell anyone aside from Hannah what happened to me. I didn't tell my mom, my dad, Bella, or Phil. Not because I was strong enough to handle it. Because I was scared. And I hated it." Luna said, her voice was shaking and it was increasing the worry Jasper was feeling.

"I hated being so terrified. I hated crying whenever I hear a party from the house across from us. I hated feeling nauseous when I see a bottle of beer. I hated having panic attacks whenever I see a baseball game on TV. I hated the clothes I was wearing that night so much I burned them! I hated all of them, and the only lie about that is I'm referring to it in past tense even though I still feel them!" Luna exclaimed.

Jasper felt as if he was experiencing physical pain, like his heart was being crushed. That's what he was feeling while he stared at the sight of Luna slowly crumbling. Tears were now trickling down her face when she turned to face him.

"I'm not strong, Jasper. I'm just pretending. And now I can't keep it in because I just found out that I was pregnant and I lost the baby." Luna said. "I'm damaged and I'm a killer. No one's going to love me again."

Jasper looks at her with pain written all over his face. He couldn't stand seeing her like this and he couldn't want more than to her embrace her.

"Can I please hug you?" He asked, not wanting to touch her without her permission. The last thing he wants to do is freak her out.

Luna's golden eyes stared right into Jasper's where she could see the worry and pain. The raven-haired girl slightly nods her head, it was almost unnoticeable but Jasper was paying attention enough to see it.

Jasper gently pulls her to his chest, wrapping his strong arms around her firmly. He wants to hold her in his arms forever. He wants to protect her from the world. He wants her to feel the love that she deserves. He wants her.

"I love you, Selene." Jasper said, causing Luna to stiffen a little under his touch. "I always have. I was just too adamant to admit it. But you're not hard to love. Maybe you are damaged, but not beyond healing. And no, you're definitely not a killer. None of it was your fault. You're amazing and no one can tell you or me otherwise. I'm incredibly lucky to be your soulmate." He added.

Luna finally wrapped her arms around his as well and broke down in his embrace.

The Cullens remained in the living room as they couldn't keep themselves from eavesdropping. But their enhanced hearing wasn't exactly something they can just turn on and off whenever they want to. They hear everything. And as they did, Edward read her thoughts and a warm smile appears on his lips.

I think I love you, too. Luna thought. But she thought it was too soon. She wants to take her time before she goes into a relationship again. They only met just nearly a month ago. It was really too quick.

After her talk with Jasper, Luna once again wore her contact lenses and asked him to take her home even if it's already past midnight. She couldn't take another second passing knowing that her father doesn't have any idea what's happening to her. He has been trying so hard to be a good father and she just has to tell this to him because she needs him.

Luna took one last look at Jasper who was in the car before knocking on the door. A couple of seconds later, Charlie answered looking like he just got out of bed. Well, he did. It was already 2 AM.

"Luna? I thought you were having a sleepover." Charlie told her as he stepped aside.

"Yeah." Luna said faintly while she entered her home. "I just─uhm─wanted to tell you something."

Charlie closed the door and followed Luna to the living room. He saw the look on Luna's face and he couldn't help but worry.

"What's wrong?" He asked, genuinely concerned about his daughter.

Luna stood in the middle of the living room with her fingers fiddling. She sighs deeply before she looks at her father in the eye and spoke.

"Something happened to me, and I've kept it a secret for days. But now I couldn't take it anymore. So, it's time that I tell you the truth." Luna said.

Charlie looks at her with furrowed eyebrows, concern and anxiety filling him.

The two sat in the living room as the raven-haired girl told her father about the horrible things that happened to her. And he couldn't believe that all of those things happened to his daughter, causing him to experience anger that he hasn't felt before.

The next day, Edward picked up the Swan twins from their home and made their way to the Cullens'. Of course, they were already expecting them, so they made them a meal.

The two arrived at the Cullens' and as per usual, they were greeted with warm welcomes.

"We've prepared a meal for both of you." Esme said as she went to give each of the Swan twins a hug.

"I'm probably gonna eat later. I'm still kinda full." Luna said.

Esme nodded and smiled at the raven-haired girl before turning to Bella. "How about you, Bella?"

"I guess I could eat." Bella said.

Before any of them could move from the living room, Jasper suddenly appears beside Luna, causing everyone to glance at the honey-blonde vampire.

"Do you mind if I steal Selene for a bit?" He asked.

"Not at all. Please take her away." Edward said with a chuckle.

Luna looks at Edward with a fake offended expression. "You hurt me, Eddie."

It was nice to see Luna being herself again. She was still a bit off and no one is forcing her to be her usual self but seeing her genuinely smiling at their presence makes them feel like they're doing something right.

"Come on, I'll show you something." Jasper told Luna, holding out his hand.

Luna only stared at his hand before she smirked and ran past him with her enhanced speed, only stopping when she reached outside.

Jasper pushes his lips into a thin line before dropping his hand. A laugh from Emmett was to be heard and Jasper playfully glares at him before he sped towards the bookshelf and grabbed a book to throw at Emmett.

He was able to catch with his hands and he sent a smirk towards Jasper.

"Boys, not in the living room." Carlisle said, even though a smile was planted on his lips.

Jasper sends another playful glare towards Emmett before speeding out of the house and stopping beside Luna.

"So, where are we going?" Luna asked.

A smile appears on Jasper's lips before he responded. "Follow me."

He uses his vampire speed to go into the forest. Luna raises her eyebrows in amusement before the raven-haired girl speeds after him.

She was able to catch up to him and they both glided into the forest side by side. Their hair was dancing behind as they were wooshed by the harsh wind. It was an incredible feeling. The forest was becoming a blur of green and brown around them.

Then, they stopped just in the middle of a clearing next to a cliff. It was a dimly lit like the rest of the forest because of the lack of sunshine. However, the cliff had a spotlight illuminating it. The sun was shining down on it and it was as if it was inviting them to come over. And that's what Jasper was planning.

"I already told you what happens when the sunlight hits us. But I never really showed you." Jasper said.

Luna watched as the honey-blonde vampire slowly makes his way towards the sunlight. When the rays of the sun hit his skin, it actually one of the most beautiful things she has ever seen.

His skin was sparkling like a diamond under the sun. He looked so delicate and she swears someone could go blind just staring at him. He was gleaming as he stood there and Luna feels herself being reeled in.

"Wow." She whispered as she approaches the vampire.

Jasper softly laughs at how amazed Luna looked and sounded.

"I'm surprised you didn't call me a disco ball." Jasper said.

"Oh, I'm thinking it, alright." Luna said, earning another laugh from Jasper.

A couple of minutes passed by and the two were sitting on the edge of the cliff, the sunlight still shining down on them and Luna has been staring at the sparkling vampire the whole time.

"You get to stare at me and you get mad whenever I stare at you?" Jasper told her.

"Do I sparkle?" She asked.

"No."

"Then, I'm the only one who can stare."

Jasper shakes his head as he chuckled.

Luna tilts her head as she observed the vampire more. He was looking straight ahead, seeing the stretch of the field before them while his skin twinkled. Seeing him like this just reminds her of how different they are.

"We're so different." She muttered, causing Jasper you look at her before she continued.

"I'm human and you're a vampire. I don't even know how that's going to work. My world is so simple while yours is...dangerous." Luna said.

"Am I going to be that girl the cliché enemies usually come after because of how important I am to you guys?" She added.

Jasper furrows his eyebrows and shakes his head.

"No. I won't let anything bad happen to you." He replied.

A small, quite bitter smile appears on Luna's lips as she realized what Jasper just said.

"Huh, funny. That's what the boy said to her as well before they got to her." She responded, remembering movies where most of the female characters are in trouble after being told that they won't let anything happen to them.

Jasper holds her hand and intertwined their fingers. "Our world can be dangerous but if anyone can survive and thrive in it, it's you. We'll be by your side the whole time."

"I sure hope so." Luna just said.

A few minutes passed by again before another conversation was started.

"So, how did your dad handle it?" Jasper asked.

Luna raised an eyebrow before she responded.

"He almost ran out of the house with his gun in the middle of the night. I stopped him, of course. I can't have daddy killing a person who's already dead. I told him we'll deal with it in the morning. He's meeting with the state police in Arizona. He said it will be easy to get a warrant of arrest for Hannah and Jeremy thanks to Jackie's recording proving them guilty." Luna said.

Jasper nodded. "That's good news."

Luna nodded in response. She looks at him with a slightly more concerned face before she spoke again.

"What about Jeremy's body?" Luna asked, feeling uncomfortable talking about his rapist's dead body.

"Emmett and I will take care of it later." Jasper said, giving her a reassuring gaze.

The two sat in silence as they immersed themselves in the wonderful scenery before them. They were now slightly more comfortable with each other than they have before. Jasper's gotta admit, he missed bickering with her. But this was just as nice.

"It's somewhere along there." Jasper told Emmett as they strolled into the woods to take of Jeremy's body.

The two of them were speeding across the forest when they abruptly stopped because of a scent that caught their noses. It was a scent of a vampire, but not one that they recognize.

Jasper and Emmett shared a confused and suspicious glance before they follow the trail of the scent, stopping only when Jasper noticed that a specific area was altered.

"No." Jasper whispered.

Emmett looks at him with furrowed eyebrows. "What is it?"

Jasper stared at one specific tree with wide eyes before looking around.

"He's gone." Jasper said.

Emmett walked towards Jasper, a skeptical look plastered across his face.

"You don't think he's..." Emmett trailed off, knowing that Jasper was already thinking about what he was about to say.

Jasper's gaze turned grim as he shifted it towards Emmett.

"We've got to warn the others."

What? You didn't think I'd kill off Jeremy that easily, did you? The asshole deserves to die at least twice!

Anyway, so that's it for act one!!! I'm so excited for Eclipse, omg. If you can remember, I asked you about who could play Valerie and most of you thought that Madelaine Petsch would fit the role. So, expect her character to appear in Eclipse!
