WHEN ALICE TOOK JACKIE HOME, Luna stormed out of the living room and into Jasper's room. Of course, Jasper has noticed how upset Luna has become so he accompanied her, which Luna actually didn't mind.

Luna runs her palm down her face in frustration as she sat on the newly bought bed that Jasper decided to have just in case Luna wants to crash in their place.

"You're upset." Jasper said.

"No shit." Luna snapped.

Jasper observed his soulmate for seconds before he added "Do you want me toโ”€"

"No." Luna immediately answered, already knowing that Jasper's referring to making her calm down. "No, you don't have to."

Jasper simply nodded, finally respecting his soulmate's rights. But for what it's worth, it was the only way Jasper knew to comfort people. He never really needed to have intimate talks with someone to make them feel better. He always thought that having the ability to manipulate their emotions is something that he needs to use to make everyone feel better. It was only today that he learned, that not everyone wants to escape those emotions. Sometimes, people need to feel them because not feeling them would only drive them insane.

He messed up when he kept manipulating her emotions. Now, all Jasper wants to do is to make it up to her. And he needs to start with coming up with a way to comfort his soulmate without the use of his empathic abilities.

"Can I?" Jasper asked, gesturing to the spot next to her on the bed.

Luna rolls her eyes at the honey-blonde before she responded.

"Don't be ridiculous." Luna said.

Jasper pushed his lips into a thin line before making his way over to sit next to her. Luna felt her body rise a little due to Jasper's weight.

The two sat there in silence. Jasper lets Luna think for a couple of minutes, only letting himself feel what she's feeling. At some point, he even got lost to the sound of his own heart beating. It's been days since it started beating again but still, he hasn't felt it for more than a century and a half.

When he was done obsessing about his heartbeat, he turned his head towards Luna to see her staring blankly at the wall in front of them. Luna was too invested in her thoughts, which allowed Jasper to stare at her adoringly.

To be honest, he was just waiting for Luna to tell him to stop staring again. Because he just realized that bickering with her was a lot easier than comforting her. But what kind of relationship would that be if he'll keep going for the easy stuff?

Aside from the bickering, Jasper thought of the times that he had with Luna. Yes, sometimes she acts like a cute girl when she gets all shy with him. Then there's this other side of her that he had barely witnessed. The side that was affected by her trauma.

Now that he was thinking about it, every time that Luna's trauma is brought up, she was able to recover quickly. She was able to be her usual self again in a matter of minutes. Which he guessed is unlikely for other people who have experienced what she experienced.

"You're the strongest person I've ever known, Selene Swan." Jasper muttered, his gaze still lurking around Luna's face.

The raven-haired girl glances at Jasper to see him practically gazing her like she's a field of beautiful flowers, or rather, like a full moon that shines brightly among the sea of stars.

"I mean, I do have you to thank for that. You gave me your strength." Luna said, completely oblivious of what Jasper is actually talking about.

"No. I mean, emotionally." Jasper said, causing Luna to look at him slightly confused before he continued.

"What you've experienced is...it's terrible. But somehow, you're able to stand back up even without anyone's help." Jasper said.

Luna looked into Jasper's eyes. She wondered if he actually knew everything about her. If he actually had seen every piece of memory that she has. But considering that Jasper described her as the strongest person he ever met, then clearly, he hasn't all of Luna yet.

But all Luna could do was lie.

"I am pretty extraordinary." Luna said, forcing a smile to make its way to her lips.

Jasper smiled back. But unlike hers, his smile was sincere.

"Jasper! Rose and I are going hunting. You should come." Emmett said as soon as he reached the door of Jasper's room.

"Sure. I'll drop Selene and Bella back to their house first." Jasper replied.

"Be ready in five?" Jasper asked when he turned back to Luna.

"Yeah, sure." Luna simply answered.

Jasper smiles at her before standing up. But when he did, he furrows his eyebrows as a smirk appears on his lips. The honey-blonde vampire turned back around to look at his soulmate and spoke again.

"You know, I'm starting to notice that you're volume is quite bearable now." Jasper said, referring to how Luna is not shouting as often as she was before.

"Bitch, I'm a singer. I still take care of my voice, you know?" Luna replied.

A smile appears on Jasper's when the thought of Luna singing popped in his mind.

"I'd like to hear you sing someday." Jasper said.

"I'll see you on my world tour." Luna replied, earning a smile and a shake of his head from Jasper before heading out of the room.

Luna takes out her phone to message Bella since she and Edward went somewhere to talk.

After sending a message to Bella, she takes a quick look at her Instagram to see any interesting updates from her old friends and former friends.

But her face dropped when she saw the top post on her news feed.

"Retreat with the guys." Said the caption of the post. There the photo was, a bunch of guys smiling at the camera while they're surrounded by trees.

It was Jeremy and the rest of the baseball team.

Her eyes fell to the location pinned at the photo, showing her where they are holding their retreat.

Forks, Washington.

It was as if fire sparked from Luna's fingertips and it spread throughout her body like wildfire. The fury she is feeling is indescribable. Never, in her whole life, had she felt this kind of anger before. And with that, she effortlessly crushed her phone in her hand, not caring that she won't have one after she did that.

She carefully places the shattered phone on the nightstand with her hand trembling before taking out her contact lenses, revealing her striking gold eyes.

She turned towards the balcony that Jasper has in his room and walked towards it. The sun is setting and soon, nightfall will come. She looks at the stretch of trees before her before she goes over the balcony and landed smoothly on her feet.

The raven-haired girl looked back at the mansion before focusing her gaze at the forest. Her gaze turned grim as she speeds her way into the woods, letting herself be engulfed by nature as the sun slowly went down the horizon.

Jasper felt the incredible sensation he soon figured is anger which caused him to speed himself towards his room to check on Luna. But when he got there, all he saw was Luna's contact lenses and broken phone sitting on the nightstand.

"Shit." He muttered before rushing to inform the others.

"Fuck off!" Jeremy exclaimed when the guys were joking around.

The jock, with his veins nearly filled with alcohol, sloppily walked away from them and further into the forest. He never knew what was waiting for him until he saw her.

It was dark and the moonlight from above the trees cast shadows down on to the forest, but Jeremy, even with his slightly drunken self, was able to recognize the girl that stood a good distance from him.

"Luna?" He muttered.

The girl couldn't help but cringe when her name came out of his mouth. The mere presence of him makes her whole body tremble in anger and fear.

Instead of answering verbally, the raven-haired girl uses her enhanced speed and strength to pin the jock against the nearest tree trunk.

All Jeremy saw was a blur and before he knew it, Luna was pushing him against a tree. But that wasn't the only thing that made him react bewildered. It was also the fact that the moon provided enough light to shine down on Luna's abnormally gold eyes.

"What the fuck?" Jeremy said.

A mischievous smirk made its way to Luna's lips before she brings her knees to his crotch in a harsh manner, sending Jeremy to topple over before Luna pushed against the tree again.

"You fucking asshole." Luna snarled.

She punched him across the face and since she has Jasper's strength, blood sprayed out of Jeremy's mouth immediately.

"You think you can just rape me and get away with the consequences?" She said, sending another punch to his face.

"I will fucking make you pay, and once I'm done with you, all that would be left of you is a bag of flesh and bones." She said with gritted teeth before beating him up again.

This time, she let the guy plummet to the ground, spitting blood.

"I don't even know why I dated you. I definitely don't deserve someone who's disgusting, immature, air-headed, and most of all...a rapist." Luna said.

She swings her leg with a strong kick and her boot made contact with his face, drawing more blood.

With the strength that he has left, Jeremy sits up and glances at the raven-haired girl, seeing the anger and vengeance written all over her face.

"And you think you can find someone better? After what I did to you?" Jeremy said, cocking an eyebrow towards Luna which placed a confused look on her face.

"I broke you, Luna. You think you can kiss someone without thinking about what happened?" Jeremy added.

Luna looked at him with disbelief on her face. Her hands were clenched into fists so hard, her nails were digging into her palms. Her whole body was trembling in anger, pain, but most of all, fear.

"You think you can have sex without remembering what I did to you? You can't. Do you think someone will ever accept you knowing what happened? No one will ever be with you again, Luna... You're forever damaged." Jeremy said.

Luna's golden eyes began to water and tears streamed down her cheeks with her lower lip quivering, all while she stared at the guy. Then, paranoid thoughts began to flood Luna's mind.

What if he was right? What if every time she makes intimate contact with the person she loves, all she could do was panic? What if no one would ever accept her?

While Luna was preoccupied with the thoughts haunting her, Jeremy took this as an opportunity to kick Luna on the stomach. This causes the raven-haired girl to stagger backward due to the impact of the kick to her midsection.

Jeremy began to put his feet under him and once he did, he backhanded Luna which made her drop to the ground face down.

The strength of his backhand was enough to draw blood from her mouth.

"You've always been a little bitch!" Jeremy said before kicking her on the stomach once again, earning a scream to leave to Luna's lips.

Blood poured out of her mouth and she laid back on the ground, facing Jeremy. She coughed on her own blood while she waited for herself to gather enough strength and fight back. Surprisingly, her strength was coming back fast, but she wasn't healing.

Jeremy stood over her and looked down on her with a smug smirk before he made a move to hurt her again. Before Luna could retaliate, Jeremy was suddenly sent flying away from her.

Her gaze snapped towards the tall figure near her and she saw none other than her soulmate, but instead of his usual golden eyes, his eyes were black.

The wrath that could be seen in Jasper's face was unlike any other. Even Luna was terrified. He took long strides towards the high school boy and picks him up by the neck with one hand. Jeremy's feet hovered above the ground and his eyes widened in horror at the sight of the honey-blonde vampire.

Jasper's gaze became even more intense and his grip around his neck was tightening, almost crushing his throat. The vampire scowled at the boy before tossing him against the tree like a tin can. He was thrown so hard, his back broke and he collapsed to the ground, unmoving.

Jeremy was on the verge of death, and all they needed to do, was wait for him to take his last breath.

Did Jasper regret what he has done?

Not even a little.

After glaring at the body of Jeremy, he finally speeds over to his mate and gently picks her up bridal style. Luna's eyes became glossy due to the tears that have gathered.

Jasper looks straight into Luna's eyes and something inside him immediately broke. The look on her face, the feeling she has right now. It was unbearable.

He swallowed hard before he uses his enhanced speed to get them back to the house.

Rosalie called the Swan residence to inform Charlie and Bella that Luna would be staying the night for a girls' sleepover with her and Alice (even though she still wasn't home yet). She was able to convince Charlie by saying that it was a much-needed stress reliever, after the panic attack she had at school yesterday.

But really, Luna Swan is lying on Jasper Hale's bed, feeling broken inside and out. The warmth of the duvet over her, the view of the night sky from the window, and the comfort of the Cullens were not enough for the raven-haired girl's mood to lighten up.

It has been an hour and a half since she was placed on his bed and she has been staring blankly at the window for that whole time.

Jasper walks in holding a tray that has a burrito and an orange soda. He remembered that she was craving a burrito earlier. He thought it was only fitting that he gives her one.

Rosalie, who was sat on the other side of the bed looks at Jasper and stands up. She simply shakes her head, implying that she hasn't done or said anything since she got there. She steps out of the room and let Jasper be with Luna.

"I bought a burrito." He said rather awkwardly. But as expected, Luna remained silent.

"I went out of town to buy this. You were craving for it earlier at lunch. You should eat." Said Jasper.

Again, Luna didn't answer.

"Darlin', you haven't eaten all day." He added

For a few seconds, the room was once again filled with deafening silence. Those three seconds felt like three lifetimes for Jasper before Luna finally decided to utter a few words.

"You're wrong." Luna murmured.

Thanks to Jasper's ever-so trusty enhanced hearing, he was able to pick up what unusually quiet voice Luna had tonight.

"I'm not. You really haven't eaten anything." Jasper said softly, fighting the urge to hold the girl's hand. After encountering her rapist, he decided it was best if he keeps his distance. He doesn't want to freak her out or anything.

"I mean, what you said earlier, about me being strong. You're wrong." She said.

Jasper's lips parted as he could only stare st the girl. She finally averted her eyes from the window she has been staring out at for one hour and a half and fixated her glazed eyes at the honey-blonde vampire.

"Jeremy's right. I'm damaged." Luna said her voice cracking.

Jasper shakes his head frantically. "No. No, you're not."

Luna stares at the vampire for a little bit longer before she was able to speak again.

"No one knows me better than I do. Trust me. I'm damaged." Luna said.

Jasper looks down at her hand, hesitant if he should hold it. Slowly, he lifts his hand up and gently places it on top of Luna's.

"Then I'll help you heal." He whispered.

A small bitter smile appears on Luna's lips as she looks away.

"Yeah, if that's even possible. I'm pretty sure I'mโ”€" Luna cuts herself off and her face contorted into a confused one.

Jasper himself furrowed his eyebrows at the look on Luna's face as well as the feeling of his heartbeat speeding up.

"Selene?" He called out in worry.

The girl was incapable of responding to her soulmate because of an ear-piercing scream that escaped her throat. Luna thrashed around the bed, the warm duvet moving away from her as she kicked her legs around.

"Selene?!" Jasper said as he neared her and tried to calm her down, but he wasn't able to because he was also panicking because he could feel Luna's emotions.

Luna clutched her stomach as another scream echoed in the whole house, causing everyone in it to come check on the two.

"What's going on?!" Esme asked, frantically approaching the two as the others followed.

Luna pants audibly and rapidly as she clutches her stomach. She was feeling some sort of aching in her stomach that was so painful.

"I don't know. She justโ”€she just started thrashing around." Jasper told them, having a hard time speaking as he tries to calm himself down as well.

Carlisle, Esme, Rosalie, and Emmett surrounded the two, trying to calm both of them down while they try and figure out what's happening...until Alice came.

Alice finally came home and went straight to the room, looking at Luna with a scared and hurt expression.

"I'm too late." Alice whispered.

Everyone's gazes, except Luna's, turned to Alice. Emmett speeds his way over to Alice, looking at her impatiently.

"Did you see something?" He asked her.

Alice slowly turns her anxious gaze towards her adoptive brother who was impatiently waiting for his sister's answer. And when she finally spoke, it's like every one of them forgot how to speak.

"She's having a miscarriage."

โ”€โ”€โ”€ โ– โ”€โ”€ โœฆ โ”€โ”€ โ– โ”€โ”€โ”€

So, yeah. Luna was pregnant, and that asshole Jeremy beating her up caused the miscarriage. A lot more will happen in the upcoming chapters before Eclipse but I assure you, Eclipse is getting closer! Btw, Jeremy is previously portrayed by Dave Franco, but I recasted him into Graham Phillips. The picture on top is him.

Anyway, the next chapter would include another one's perspective on the same night. If you haven't forgotten, Alice took Jackie to where Hannah and her friends are. So, we'll be getting more โœจdramaโœจ.

xoxo Sammy
