Note: This chapter will be centered on Jackie Morrison for you guys to get to know her better since she'll be an important character in this book. :)
AFTER THE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN HER AND LUNA, Jackie had lost her appetite and decided to just wait for lunch break to be over so she could go back to being the new girl that everyone stares at during class, despite it being incredibly dreadful and all.
However, she regretted not eating lunch because only then did she realize that her next class is Math and it would sure as hell drain her energy trying to understand that hell subject.
Upon entering the classroom, she immediately earned stares that held both admirations from the boys and some of the girls and envy from most of the girls. Well, who could blame her? The girl is absolutely gorgeous. With her short and silky brunette hair, her flawless and tanned skin, and her dark brown orbs that seemed to sparkle every time, she can be considered as one of the most stunning students to ever walk the halls of Forks High.
"Ms. Morrison, correct?" Asked the professor.
Jackie snapped her gaze away from her classmates and towards her professors to answer him.
"Yes." She answered, accompanied by a polite nod.
"Why don't you introduce yourself to the class?" Said the professor.
Jackie raised her perfectly shaped eyebrows before turning towards her classmates again. Her dark brown eyes roamed the classroom to see nothing out of the ordinary until her eyes met a pair of striking golden-brown ones. A girl with a pixie-like haircut and skin so pale, Jackie would've thought she's a corpse. But she wasn't. In fact, Jackie found her incredibly attractive.
It was clear that Alice was drawn to her also. Well, why wouldn't she be? She's going to be her mate. Even though Alice was trying her best not to be intrigued by her for the sake of her relationship with her family, especially Luna, she will always find her way back to Jackie.
"I'm Jacqueline Morrison. But, please call me 'Jackie'." Jackie introduced herself.
When she opened her mouth and introduced herself, her classmates seemed to be more captivated by her because of the way her classy British accent rolled off her tongue. It was at that moment that the boys in that class made it their mission to pursue the lady.
If only they knew that she wasn't into boys.
"Well, Ms. Morrison, I suppose you should sit next to Ms. Cullen since it's the only available seat. Ms. Cullen, please wave your hand." The math professor said.
Alice's lips parted unknowingly as she flickered her gaze between the professor and Jackie before finally raising her hand, hesitation still lurking in her while she held her hand up in the air, waving it.
An almost unnoticeable smile tugs on Jackie's lips when she found out she will be sitting on the chair next to the ethereally beautiful girl.
Jackie starts to walk towards her seat and she drops her bag to the ground before sitting down. She glances at her right to smile politely at Alice and Alice does the same. After giving her a smile, Alice was quick to look away from her, trying her best to have little to no communication with her whatsoever. Her relationship with her family and the Swan twins depends on it.
"Hey." Jackie greeted her.
Shit. Alice thought.
The pixie-haired girl turns to Jackie with her ever-so cheerful smile that seemed to mesmerize the gay brunette.
"Hey." Alice greeted back.
The awkwardness was filling the air surrounding them which made Jackie fiddle with her fingers. Despite knowing that she's gay since she was fourteen, Jackie had never pursued a girl before, let alone be in a relationship with one.
And when she saw Alice, she somehow knew that she's going to be someone special in her life and she wants to be with her as much as possible.
"I hope you can guide me. Math isn't my strong suit. It always hasn't been." Jackie said.
Alice gulped before forcing herself to do something that she doesn't really want to do. Reject her.
"I'm sure somebody else would love to help you." Alice said, forcing a smile on her lips before looking away.
Jackie seemed to be taken aback by Alice's response. It was obvious that Alice was trying to be polite but it was also obvious that she meant that to scare her away or something.
"Well, I'm not sure I want their help. Half of the class look like they're gonna scratch my face off and the other half look at me like a piece of meat that they want to devour." Jackie said, looking strangely at the blonde guy that was winking her way.
Alice was not gonna lie, it's next to impossible to ignore the brunette, and her charming British accent was making it even more difficult for her.
A couple of minutes have passed when a vision flashed before her eyes. A vision that stated there's a change in the future because of a particular someone's change in decision. Most likely, Luna's decision.
Jackie appeared to notice the sudden change in Alice's mood. From being her bubbly self (even though it's kinda forced at the moment), to being indifferent, apathetic.
Jackie wanted to call out her name but she realized she never got to ask her first name. All she knew was that her last name is Cullen, due to her Math professor.
"Uhm. Hey." Jackie said, trying not to get caught by their professor who seemed like a very strict person.
Seconds later, a smile appears on Alice's lips as the vision ended.
Once again, Jackie was confused at Alice's sudden change of mood. She didn't notice because she was watching her, she noticed because Alice abruptly turns towards her with the biggest smile she has ever worn.
"Will you be my partner for this week's project?" Alice asked her, her wide and bright smile, that could likely give sunshine to the entirety of Forks, not faltering from her lips.
Jackie furrows her eyebrows in confusion, despite being glad that the girl's mood has been uplifted.
"What project?" She asked.
Before Alice could answer, the professor's voice filled their ears.
"For this week's project, I'm gonna need you to find a partner and work on the exponential and logarithmic functions. I expect all of you to do a decent job on this one considering it has been our topic since last week." Said the professor.
Jackie raised her eyebrows on realization.
"That project." Jackie said as she nodded once.
"Yep!" Alice said, while still waiting for Jackie's answer. "So..."
Jackie notices Alice waiting for her answer and she mentally slapped herself for forgetting to answer.
"I mean, yes. Yes, I'd love to be your partner." Jackie answered.
In life as well, if possible. Jackie thought.
"Great! My name's Alice, by the way. We'll go to my place after class." Alice said right before the bell rang.
Alice quickly gathered her things before she skipped out of the classroom, leaving Jackie to wonder what suddenly has gotten into the pixie-like girl until she shrugged it off and went to her next class.

Dismissal came really fast and Jackie couldn't be more excited to spend the afternoon with the girl she has a crush on. Yes, first day at her new school, and she already has a crush on someone.
Much like the moment she first walked down the halls of Forks High, everyone was captivated by her beauty and the way she carried herself. In all honesty, they haven't seen anyone with such incredible beauty since the Cullens came. But Jackie's beauty was most definitely different from them.
"Jackie!" An enthusiastic voice resonated in Jackie's ears like a symphony.
Alice. Jackie sang in her mind. She immediately snapped out of it. Since when was she a simp for someone this fast?
"Hey. You ready?" Jackie asked.
"Yeah. I just told my family to head on home first." Alice said.
Jackie smiled at her and nodded before the two made their way towards Alice's car.
The ride was filled with comfortable small talks between the two. Every now and then, Alice would glance at Jackie to see her looking out the window, admiring the cozy scenery of Forks.
Before Jackie could notice her staring, Alice averts her gaze back to the stretch of the road ahead of her. She acted as if she hadn't been staring like the first two times that she had done it.
Alice felt like the connection between them was effortless. That neither of them needs to force themselves on the other. It felt...natural. Therefore, Alice took that as a sign that they were really meant to be together.
"So, why did you decide to move to Forks?'" Alice asked.
Jackie shrugged her shoulders. "To be honest? I have unfinished business with someone."
Alice gripped the steering wheel a bit tighter before she responded.
"Is this someone Luna Swan?" Alice asked.
The brunette turns to the pixie-haired girl sith her eyebrows furrowed, confused as to how Alice could've known that it was Luna.
"Yeah. Back in Arizona, she chopped a bunch of my hair off during pep rally and I never knew why she did it. Wait, how did you know it was Luna?" Jackie asked back.
"She's a good friend of mine. She's also dating my adoptive brother, Jasper." Alice answered, not bothering to spare the gay brunette a glance.
Jackie raised her eyebrows in realization.
"You mean that scary guy with long blonde hair?" Jackie said.
"I suppose that's him." Alice answered.
Jackie leans back on her seat with a botter smile showing on her lips, slowly realizing the hidden agenda that Alice has or Jackie thinks she has.
"You didn't really want me to be your partner, did you? You were just trying to get to me like your brother and the other girl who I suppose is your sister as well?" Jackie said, referring to Jasper and Rosalie.
A few minutes earlier, Alice found Jackie's British accent incredibly soothing and attractive. But now that it's associated with what seems like anger, the pixie-haired girl started to worry.
"Well..." Alice trailed off, not knowing what to answer.
Jackie raised an eyebrow at her, telling her to go on but Alice sighs in defeat.
"Okay, fine! I needed a reason to take you to my family but that's only because they think you have something to do with Luna's trauma." Alice explained.
It was at this moment that Jackie's feelings towards Alice went a full 180 degrees.
"If that's the case, then I speak only to Luna! I have no business whatsoever to your family!" Jackie exclaimed, her voice filling the little space in the car.
"Luna is part of our family now that's why her business is ours as well." Alice responded.
Jackie looks at Alice in disbelief before she shakes her head, furious about how she was misdirected.
"So you manipulate me into thinking that you want to be friends with me just so you can face me to your bloody family and prove my innocence." Jackie said, her voice lowering down.
"That's not what I-" Alice tried to reason with her but Jackie simply cuts her off.
"Save it." Jackie said.
Alice felt her heart sunk at the hostility in both her voice and actions. She never wanted to make Jackie feel this way. She simply needed a reason for her to go to her house for the sake of the vision. But she does want to be partners with Jackie. More than anything and anyone.
"I'll do the confrontation with your family. But that's it. After that, I'm leaving." Jackie said.
Alice didn't know how to respond so she simply nodded. And the rest of the ride to the Cullens' house was filled with suffocating silence.
Upon arriving at the Cullens' house, Jackie fought the urge to hung her mouth open and stare at the glass mansion in awe. It was a large modern mansion that is well-proportioned, polished hardwood walls covering the some of the house, while large glass windows decorated the entire southern wall.
"Here we are." Alice said, the tone of her voice the complete opposite of enthusiasm.
Jackie didn't respond and instead pushes the car door open before waiting for Alice to guide her towards the front of the house.
The Cullens as well as the Swan twins that were occupying the house suddenly had their moods dropped when they sense another human on the premises.
As they positioned themselves in the living room, Alice and Jackie walk in and the Cullens', except for Edward, immediately scowled. Jasper placed his hand on Luna's back as a comforting gesture. Carlisle and Esme eyed the brunette. Emmett grabbed a hold of his wife to keep her from doing something reckless. While Edward squeezed Bella's hand lightly in an attempt to make her feel less uncomfortable.
"Alice, why the hell would you bring her here?" Emmett said, looking at the brunette with hatred.
"She's here to say something." Alice said.
"There's nothing else to say. She's responsible for what happened to Luna." Rosalie said with every word spitting venom, figurately, of course.
"Rose." Edward warned his adoptive sister.
"What? It's true!" Rosalie told Edward when she turned to him.
"It's not." Jackie spoke up. "I have nothing to do with what happened to Luna, I assure you." She added.
"Like we'd believe a word you say." Rose said.
"Let her finish." Edward replied.
"Why are you defending her?" Jasper snapped at Edward.
"Because it's true." Luna said, causing all eyes to shift at the raven-haired girl. "She didn't have anything to do with what happened to me. I only found out earlier." She said.
"And how did you find out?" Carlisle asked.
"She told us." Bella said, taking it upon herself to reply. But Bella's answer only made Rosalie scoff.
"Really? Just like that, you believe her?" Rose said.
"Rose." Alice warned.
Before any of the Cullens or the Swans could utter another word, Jackie once again spoke.
"My mum was a victim of rape." She blurted out, causing everyone to go silent as she goes on. "I was the product. Which is the main reason why she hated me so much. Because I only reminded her of the incident that messed her up."
It was as if someone had cut their tongues. No one in the room dared to speak as they looked Jackie with disbelief. Alice looks at her future mate with guilt in her eyes. She had no idea about Jackie's unpleasant past and the fact that she was the reason Jackie was forced to tell them her dark past made her want to curse herself over and over again.
"I know how much it can mess someone up. Therefore, I never wished for anyone to experience what my mum had encountered." Jackie said.
Edward could see the vivid images of Jackie's mother throwing all her anger at her daughter in Jackie's mind. He couldn't help but try to tune the thoughts out, like he wanted to do with Luna's when he first found out what happened to her. It was too much for him to handle. He couldn't take seeing them like that.
Luna looks at the brunette with wide eyes as her mouth was left parted. Jasper has his jaw clenched with his hand still on Luna's back. Carlisle and Esme could only look at Jackie in sympathy. Emmett simply lowered his gaze while Rose gulped visibly with her eyes still fixated on the girl. Bella looked down to the ground, not being able to look Jackie in the eye.
And Alice. Oh, Alice felt the most guilty right now. She feels Jackie slipping away from them and Alice wanted to hold on to her for dear life. But who was she to do that? She's just the one who put Jackie in a tough situation. Alice felt like she had no right to even be with her.
Jackie looks at the disbelief written across everyone's faces before a bitter smile appears on her lips with water pooling in her eyes.
"Well, if you don't have any more to accuse me of, I better get going." Jackie said.
But before she walked away, she turned her grim gaze towards the pixie-haired girl.
"Happy?" She said.
Jackie didn't wait for Alice's response and instead, she immediately walked away, leaving the Cullens and the Swans dumbfounded as she waited in the car.
As an attempt to ignore Alice while they sat in the car, Jackie took out her phone and scrolls through her Instagram. And she thanked the heavens (or hell) that she opened her Instagram because she wouldn't have known the latest update that a certain traitor cheerleader is currently in Forks.
"Drop me off to this diner." Jackie told her, her tone implying that Alice is not allowed to ask any questions.
Jackie showed her the picture of a bunch of teenage girls smiling at the camera inside a diner with the caption: gonna visit the boys <3
"Uhmm... Okay." Alice said.
Jackie retrieved her phone and she stared at the blonde cheerleader on her phone, her grip tightening.
I think it's time to punish the real culprit.

I think I have no OC that has a happy past. I don't know why I keep giving my OCs a hard time. I love them with all of my heart, I swear.
