"LET GO OF ME!" Luna exclaimed before she could break free from Jasper's grasp.

The two of them stood in the empty hallway, Jasper looking at Luna worriedly while Luna looked at him with fury.

"Why would you do that?! You had no fucking right to manipulate my emotions!" Luna shouted, her voice echoing in the halls.

"I did what I had to do to prevent you from killing her, or have you forgotten that you have my strength?" Jasper answered, his voice lowering so no one could hear them.

"So what if I killed her?" Luna said, causing Jasper to look at her in disbelief.

"So what? Selene, you're only eighteen!"

"I have the right to be fucking mad!" Luna exclaimed. "And you took that away from me!"

Jasper gulped at Luna's words. She was right. She had the right to be angry. She had experienced a messed up thing and she's meant to feel hurt and angry. He shouldn't have taken that away from her.

"You're right. I had no business taking that away from you." Jasper said. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that. From now on, I won't manipulate your emotions without your permission."

Luna's chest rose and fell at a quick pace as she catches her breath from all the shouting. Now, in her own will, she lets herself calm down. Her gaze remained stern but not as stern as before. She sighs deeply before she closes her eyes and opens them again to see a guilty-expressioned Jasper.

"Let's get to class." She simply answered.

It was difficult for Jasper to leave Luna to her own class after the incident that just happened. But Luna convinced him that she's okay and that she wasn't in favor of him babysitting her. Jasper eventually let her go to her class but not without reminding her that he'll be waiting for her outside her room when lunch comes.

And he was. He was waiting by the door of the classroom Luna was in when she stepped out of the room. He was leaning by the door and immediately straightens his body when his golden-brown eyes met Luna's blue ones.

He has to admit, he sort of misses her real eyes. Sure, the contact lenses were a close match to her natural stormy blue eyes, but Jasper paid attention enough to find that her real blue eyes had specs of gray in them that somehow made them even stand out. With the contact lenses she's wearing now, he couldn't see anything but plain blue orbs.

"Didn't I make myself clear about staring before?" Luna said, noticing how Jasper was staring right into her eyes.

This made the honey-blonde boy clear his throat before adjusting his slightly ruffled shirt and running his fingers through his conditioned honey-blonde hair that ended just beneath his ears.

Luna swore that if she was a cartoon character, her eyes would be sparkling as she stared at the gorgeous being in front of her that she can't believe is her actual soulmate. Like, her literal soulmate.

Jasper seemed to notice the way Luna had started staring at him with her lips slightly parted. She was pretty much drooling at the sight of him. Before Luna could regain herself from gawking at Jasper, he took this opportunity to tease her by leaning in and whispering in her ear.

"Now, who's staring?" Jasper teased, his Southern accent evident in Luna's ears that seemed to snap Luna out of the trance she calls Jasper Hale.

Jasper slightly pulls away from her ear and settles his face just inches away from Luna's. He could hear her heart ramming inside her chest and the embarrassment that was flooding her insides.

Luna knew he could feel her embarrassment right now because of the way Jasper's lips twitched up in a smirk.

Without another thought, Luna brings her hand up to Jasper's ear and pinches it. Considering that Jasper has been sharing his strength with Luna because of the soulmate bond, Luna was squeezing his ear rather intense for him.

"Ow! Selene, what are you doing?!" Jasper whisper-yelled.

His eyes caught the confused and amused stares of the students that walked past them.

"Reminding you that you're soulmates with a bull-headed girl." Luna said.

"More like pigheaded." Jasper muttered.

This made the raven-haired girl squeeze his ear tighter.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Jasper whispered.

With that, all the embarrassment that Luna had felt earlier seemed to wash away. And now, Jasper was feeling embarrassed because of what she's doing to him right now in front of the other students.

"Selene, they're staring." Jasper said.

"Who did you say is the boss here, Rapunzel? Hm?" Luna asked him.

When Jasper didn't answer, Luna tightens her fingers around his ear that made Jasper release a low groan before he decided to answer her question.

"You are, darlin'." Jasper finally answered.

Luna felt her cheeks heat up when he called her 'darling' but she immediately shake the feeling away before letting go of his ear. A sigh of relief was released by Jasper as he rubs his ears.

A few seconds later, Emmett appeared beside them and he couldn't help but grin as he was amused by the scene that he had watched earlier.

"You two are annoyingly adorable." Emmett commented.

Luna could only roll her eyes at the grinning Emmett before her thoughts shifted towards her cravings for a burrito. She could feel her stomach rumbling at the thought of it.

Jasper could also sense the craving for a burrito but he knew that it wasn't him craving for it, but rather it was Luna wanting it.

"Come on." Jasper said before taking her hand into his.

Before Luna could get away from Jasper, he held on to her tight as she gently drags her towards the cafeteria, where most of the students are now hanging out because it's lunch break.

Emmett, Luna, and Jasper saw the rest of the clan waiting in front of the cafeteria so they could all go in together like they always do.

Edward, who was standing beside Bella, drops his gaze to Luna and Jasper's intertwined hands and he couldn't help but smirk.

"Planning on letting everyone know already?" Edward asked Jasper, his smirk not faltering.

"Might as well." Jasper simply answered.

Luna rolls her eyes but didn't bother to retrieve her hand from Jasper's freezing grasp. Her eyes then landed on Alice who has her hands clasped together and her gaze fixated on the floor. She hasn't said a word ever since they got together and it's making everyone, except Edward, wonder.

"You're unusually quiet." Luna said, causing Alice to snap her head up and look at Luna.

Normally, Alice would always wear this wide and bright smile and constantly annoy Luna with her ever-so cheery self. But she seemed to have a different mood today, which was very odd. Alice hasn't shot a smile towards Luna since they came to school. It was beginning to look suspicious.

Alice could only look at Luna for a few seconds before she averted her gaze, not being able to look at Luna straight because of the guilt that's eating her up inside. Jasper narrows his eyes at his best friend, feeling the overwhelming remorse that was too great to ignore.

"Alice, what's wrong?" Jasper asked.

Alice's golden eyes met Jasper's similar ones and just like she did with Luna, she wasn't able to look at Jasper in the eyes for much longer. Their eye contact ended as soon as it started.

"Probably a story for another time." Alice simply said before she turns around and took it upon herself to be the first to enter the cafeteria.

The family stared at their sister for a while longer before they decided to follow. Rose and Emmett walked in with his arm around her shoulders, then Edward and Bella entered the room hand in hand.

Just as they were about to enter as well, Jasper felt the resistance in Luna's posture. It made the honey-blonde glance at the raven-haired girl and sees her face holding an expression of hesitation and nervousness.

It was not because she was afraid of what others might think as she walks in with her hand clasped in Jasper's. She couldn't care less about what other people think about them and their 'relationship'.

But the possibility of Jackie sat behind those doors is what makes her nerves act out.

Despite her efforts of hiding the anxiety in her by putting on a stern look, Jasper could still feel what it is she's truly feeling. And for some reason, he couldn't just ignore that.

"Hey," said Jasper as he squeezed her hand gently, causing the younger Swan to look at him. "As long as I'm your soulmate, I won't let anything happen to you." He added.

Luna visibly gulped under Jasper's adoring gaze. She doesn't know if it was because he manipulated her emotions again or his words effectively calmed her down. But either way, she was kinda thankful for it. Though, she's not gonna admit that, of course.

"Was that supposed to mean anything to me?" Luna said after she scoffed.

Jasper shakes his head and looks away as a smirk appeared on his lips.

"You really are stubborn." Jasper muttered silently but due to Luna's shared enhanced hearing from her soulmate, she heard it crystal clear but decided to let it slip when Jasper gently tugs her towards the cafeteria.

It was as if an angel passed by when the whole cafeteria went silent as they saw Jasper and Luna walked in. The previous chatters coming from their tables died down immediately and focused all their attention on the new couple. The students didn't even bother to hide their judgmental looks as they two passed by each of their tables.

Thanks to their vampire hearing ability, they could hear the whispers from different groups which mostly said:

"Luna's with Jasper?"

"Another Swan's in their family?"

"Well, a weirdo attracts a weirdo."

With her lack of self-control, Luna easily got pissed at the gossips that were buzzing around. The raven-haired girl attempted to march towards the nearest group of gossipers but was held back by Jasper when he refused to let go of her hand and pulled her back towards him. He lets go of her hand and rests it on her waist.

Luna could feel his breath on her ear when he leaned down, about to whisper something.

"Save your strength for something much more worth it than a bunch of jealous teenagers." Jasper whispered in her ear while her body is pressed against his.

The feeling of being this close to Jasper was so surreal that it made her mind float in cloud nine. And his Southern accent didn't make it easy for her. If it wasn't for Jasper holding her close, she would've fallen to the ground because of how her knees weakened.

Damn you, soulmate bond. Luna thought.

"Stop doing that." Luna whispered back.

"Doing what?"

"You being all sweet."

"What, I can't be affectionate towards my soulmate?"

This made Luna's cheeks slightly pink, much to Jasper's amusement.

"I made Selene Swan blush." He teased.

Luna's eyes widened before she forcefully pushed Jasper away from her while a cute laugh fell on the honey-blonde vampire's lips.

"You have got to stop hugging me." Luna said, recalling all the times that Jasper had hugged her.

"Then, you gotta stop being so reckless." Jasper replied.

"I am not reckless. I'm simply courageous." Luna said.

"Whatever you say, ma'am." Jasper responded before the two finally joined on the table of the rest of the family.

The two sat down between Alice and Rosalie. Jasper felt his best friend tensed as soon as he sat down beside her, making him even more curious about what's going on in that cute little head of hers.

"Alice, you've been avoiding me for hours." Jasper told Alice.

Jasper's voice made everyone at the table look at him and Alice in confusion while Edward looked at his sister in worry.

"Jazz, don't be silly. I'm not avoiding you." Alice answered, her cheery tone sounding forced and everyone noticed it.

"Okay, then. How 'bout you tell me what's happening?" Jasper said as he turned his gaze towards Edward.

Luna could tell that everyone's attention turning to him made the bronze-haired boy tense. At first, she had no idea why Jasper would ask Edward why Alice was acting that way, but then she remembered that Edward could read minds. Meaning, he could read Alice's thoughts as they speak.

"I'm not one to disclose information that is not ready to be disclosed yet." Edward simply answered.

"Bullshit." Jasper muttered.

The tone of Jasper's voice made the raven-haired girl snap her gaze towards him. His voice held anger in it. Sure, Luna how Jasper is when irritated. But right now, he's angry.

Jasper and Edward glared daggers at each other while everyone else at the table could only watch the exchange between them. It was becoming a heated argument between the two glaring at each other until Alice finally gathered the courage she needs to speak up.

"I found my mate." Alice blurted out.

This caused the family and the Swan twins to avert their gazes towards Alice, all while their eyes are widened.

"I mean, that's great news, right?" Emmett said.

"Who is it?" Bella asked.

Alice looks at them one by one, saving Luna for last. The pixie-haired girl gulped before bringing her gaze down to her fiddling fingers on top of the table.

"Jackie Morrison." She muttered.

And with that, the table flipped upside down.
