~6~ - Angel Betrayal

Sammy and Norman stared at each other for a minute in awkward silence, which due to how quiet it was, the duo (Sammy and Henry) could hear some whirs and turns of the Projectionist's projector.

Finally, the former animator broke the silence of whirs and turns. "Maybe we should head back to the Safehouse, I need to get back to Boris anyways. That is if I can because I need to get these stupid hearts to Alice." Henry patted his ink splattered pockets with his black stained hands.

"I thought you left?" Sammy looked up at the animator, who shrugged.

"No, I've been standing here the whole time." Henry leaned against the wooden railings, now continuing.

"I've been through this loop countless times, I already know what the hell is going to happen. I want to break it, and it kind of already was sort of broken by the way you acted differently, Samuel L. Lawrence." Henry explained, patting his handy Tommy Gun. This was the first time Henry Stein said Sammy's whole name in thirty years.

The once insane man sighed softly. "Ah, yeah.... The loop.." He muttered quietly, looking down at the pool of ink, which reached halfway up his calves of his overalls. He looked back up at the man, "Let's go then." He looked at Norman Polk.

He clicked in a little upset, he liked staying in the dark. And had a seathing hatred for the 'Angel'.

"I know, but you're stronger than the both of us combined." Lawrence convinced him, finally getting the Projectionist to let out a distorted sigh and walk up the stairs, going around the hole. Sammy smiled to himself and started walking up the stairs, almost forgetting about the hole. Once he lost step, he grunted for he thought he was going to fall until feeling another inky arm on his own arm. The masked man looked up and saw light, squinting his own bright yellow eyes from behind the mask.

Norman huffed through his speaker and pulled him up, just holding his arm as he walked after Henry to the lift.

Sammy stumbled along behind the taller male with the projector for a head, but didn't mind getting dragged along.

Once in the lift, Henry hit the button for Level 9, now putting a hand on his hip while tapping his inky shoe against the wooden planks of the lift as the metal gates closed and they started going up.

Sammy crossed his arms, waiting casually.

Norman just paced in a same line while waiting. His footsteps were heavy, and he was careful of where his cords were located in the lift.

Suddenly, the speaker crackled, causing Norman to look up from shock, and Sammy to look up as well. Henry glared up.

"Ah, Henry... Did you seriously bring that thing with you?" Alice hissed over the speaker.

"Hey, that isn't nice!" Henry snapped back, Norman was one of his good friends, especially during old times when the studio was more alight rather than alive.

"Oh, dear, I don't care." The Angel retorted, and Norman clicked from annoyance. "But oh Sammy~ I didn't know you also worked for them."

"Alice, I don't. I promise to see you again!" Sammy begged, putting his inky hands together.

"Hm... Let me think about it... No! Don't see me, I could care less. You may have been a handsome man once upon a time, but I could just play a tape of you screaming from agony in the animation of you dying on loop over and over again." She giggled, and Lawrence was in shock. He thought she was a friend.

Is this why Bendy kept warning him about her?

(I saw how well loved this book was! And I decided... To update it and begin to continue it! Mostly because it has a ton of reads and is one of the second most favourited story, and the book that's added to reading lists the most. If you're also interested in another BatIM Book, I should have one in my books somewhere, lol. I hope you enjoy the chapter!)
