CHAPTER SEVENTEEN:
LET'S KICK SOME ASS

TONY HAD WENT AHEAD OF them, flying to the tower in which they figured out Loki had been located. Of course it would be Stark tower, it was one of the biggest in the city. Natasha and Clint were the ones that were driving the jet, Steve and Olivia were in the back of the jet, watching through the windows at all the chaos that had taken place. A giant blue portal had opened up in the middle of the sky by the time they had gotten there and out if it flew more and more chitauri on their vehicles.

     "This is insane." Olivia breathed, sharing a look with Steve who had nodded his head in agreement. Natasha and Clint were using the guns on the jet to shoot the things out of the sky. They made it up to the tower where Thor was fighting with Loki, having attempted to keep him from making this go on longer than it already had, but the god refused. They fired at Loki who was quick to push Thor off of him, aiming the scepter at the jet and hitting the wing of the jet. Clint and Natasha tried to gain control of the jet as they started towards the ground. They roughly hit the ground, Olivia and Steve being quick to grab onto the bar above them so that they wouldn't be thrown around.

     "You alright?" Natasha unbuckled her seatbelt with Cling following behind, looking between the two though focusing on Olivia. She nodded her head before the group quickly exited down the ramp, glancing up and around whilst Steve placed a finger up to his com as they looked at the giant leviathan that had made it's way across the sky, more of the chitauri falling from its body.

     "Stark, are you seeing this?" Steve asked.

     "I'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Tony responded.

     "Banner?" Steve frowned.

     "Just keep me posted. Jarvis, find me a soft spot." And then Tony went back to what he was doing. The group were all quick to jump into the fight. Steve used his shield, Natasha used her gun, Clint used his arrows, and Olivia used her claws. Her eyes glowed a vibrant blue as her fangs protruded from her mouth and her claws replaced her regular finger nails. She tore apart any of the alien that came towards her, a roar falling from her lips as she ripped off the head of one with her teeth.

     Olivia joined Natasha's side as she and Clint hid behind a taxi, Steve soon joining them. Clint looked towards the man out of time before speaking, "We got civilians trapped in that. . . building." They watched as the chitauri flew by the said building, sending explosions all up and down the streets making Natasha and Olivia exchange looks with one another.

     "Those people need assistance down there." Steve told them, glancing over the cab to look at the road that was underneath the bridge they were on. Natasha stood up, shooting her guns whilst Olivia shoved her hands out, using the telekinesis she had in order to throw some of the aliens aside. Clint moved up towards another flipped over taxi, kneeling down and prepairing to draw his arrow.

     "We got this." Olivia assured the man, Natasha sitting back down beside her and nodding her head in agreement. "Go."

     "You think you can hold them off?" Steve asked.

     Clint turned his head towards the man, the sound of his arrows moving could be heard as he grabbed one, a smirk on his face. "Captain, it would be my genuine pleasure." With that Clint stood and shot his arrow. Steve nodded his head before quickly getting up and running away from them.

     Olivia grabbed Natasha's hand, grabbing her attention as Olivia offered the redhead a small smirk. "Let's kick some ass, yeah?"

     "I'm always up for a little ass beating." Natasha responded before the two stood up and started fighting again. Natasha firing her guns, Clint his arrows, and Olivia deciding to give her claws a small break as she used her telekinesis to take the aliens out. Olivia ran over towards Clint who was pulling kids out from a bus windows. She made her eyes glow, clenching her jaw as she grabbed onto the bus doors and with a grunt pushed them open, allowing the other passengers to quickly and safely escape. When the passengers were safe, the duo were quick to run back over to Natasha.

     "Just like Budapest all over again!" Natasha called to Clint over the loud noises.

     Clint grabbed another arrow, shooting it, before saying, "You and I remember Budapest very differently." The three continued to fight, Olivia get up close and personal with the aliens in order to rip them apart. That's when a pained gasp fell from her lips as two blasts from the aliens weapon slammed into her side. She fell to the ground, clenching her jaw as the alien grew closer to her, before it could take another step Natasha was quick to shoot it dead, running up to her and pulling her up from the ground.

     "You alright?"

     "Nothing that won't heal." Olivia assured with a nod. They went back to fighting. Eventually Natasha had managed to grab one of the chitauri's scepter's, using it to fight against them after having run out of bullets. More and more only seemed to come, but the three kept their ground, sliding underneath them whenever possible, getting close and personal and needed. That's when Steve appeared hitting two of the shoulders that had been ready to attack Clint. Four others were quickly killed by Thor who sent lightning bolts through them before he landed on the ground beside them.

     "What's the story upstairs." Steve spoke as the three walked towards the man, having cleared the area out.

     "The power surrounding the cube is impenetrable." Thor answered.

     "Of course it is." Olivia muttered.

     "Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys." Tony's voice came through the coms as the group glanced at the chitauri that had just flown by.

     Natasha turned her attention towards Steve before saying, "How do we do this?"

     "As a team." Steve answered.

     "I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor mentioned.

     "Yeah, get in line." Clint spoke, fixing one of his arrows

     "Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us. . ." However, Steve was cut off by the sound of a motorbike coming towards them. They all turned their attention towards the approaching vehicle only to realize that it was Bruce. The man carefully got off the bike, walking towards the group as he glanced around at the chaos.

     "So, this all seems horrible." Bruce spoke.

     "I've seen worse." Natasha told him.

     "Sorry." The man apologized, but she shook her head.

     "No. We could use a little worse."

     "Stark? We got him." Steve informed the man.

     "Banner?"

     "Just like you said."

     "Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." Tony spoke. Natasha and Olivia exchanged looks with one another before quickly turning their attention towards Tony who was flying towards them with the giant leviathan creature chasing after him.

     Natasha cocked her head slightly before saying, "I―︎I don't see how that's a party." The creature came crawling closer and closer to them, destroying everything in it's path.

     "Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry." Steve told the man. Bruce glanced back towards him before smirking slightly.

     "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." Bruce turned and in a split second he was no longer himself, but instead he was the Hulk, his skin green with protruding muscles as he walked up to the creature and slammed his fist into it's facing, sending it over himself so that it was close to falling on the others. Tony appeared, shooting something into it. Olivia grabbed onto Natasha, quickly holding up her hand so that a shield covered them both before the creture exploded, destroyed as pieces of it fell to the ground. The brunette dropped her hand, glancing towards Natasha and sending her a small wink before they all had their back facing one another, glancing around at all of the chaos.

     "Guys." Natasha spoke up, causing all of them to glance towards her before following her eye line up to the portal only to see another giant wave of chitauri emerge from it.

     "You've got to be kidding me." Olivia groaned, getting irritated with the creatures.

     "Call it Cap." Tony spoke, making all eyes turn towards Steve. Immediately, the man started to give them their separate jobs.

     "Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark,  you've got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or your turn it to ash."

     "Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asked, glancing towards Tony.

     "Right. Better clench up, Legolas." Tony spoke before grabbing onto the man and shooting into the air. Steve then turned to look at Thor.

     "Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Thor nods once before spinning his hammer and flying up into the air. He then turned towards Olivia. "Liv, I need you to turn into your wolf, rip as many of these things apart a you can. The three of us we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here." He then turned his attention towards Hulk. "And Hulk. . . smash." The man smirked before doing as he asked.

     Olivia glanced towards the two before smirking slightly. "Don't look. I didn't bring an extra change of clothes." The two were quick to look away as Olivia quickly stripped from her close and the changed into her wolf, she let out a snarl before a howl from her lips, charging at the creatures and attacking.
