โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ into surgeryย and Natasha stood there, watching behind the clear one way glass with a frown on her face. Her arms were crossed over her chest, worry blooming inside her as she looked at Olivia's unconscious body. She didn't understand why she was so incredibly worried for the one person that had been incredibly rude to her. The one girl that had brought up her past that she was trying to run from and put behind her.
ย ย ย "What the hell happened?" Clint rushed in, taking a stand beside Natasha.
ย ย ย "We got the mission done." Natasha answered.
ย ย ย "I know that, but why the hell is Olivia laying on a surgical table?" Clint snapped.
ย ย ย "She got shot." Natasha answered, her voice monotone. "We were leaving, running away after we got compromised, and one of the agents shot her. She kept. . . she kept saying let me heal over and over. What did she mean?"
ย ย ย Clint looked at the redhead before looking back over at the doctors who were closing Olivia up. He let out a sigh, "You'll figure that out when she wants you to."
ย ย ย "After what happened. . . there's no way she's going to trust me. She almost bled out and it was our first mission together." Natasha sighed. Clint examined the girl, his eyes narrowing slightly before his lip twitched upwards for just a second.
ย ย ย "It really bothers you, doesn't it?" Clint quizzed, his eyes moving back towards the glass. Natasha glanced at the man, furrowing her eyebrows.
ย ย ย "I don't-"
ย ย ย "It'll stay between us." He promised. He looked her in the eyes when he said it, telling the girl that he truly meant it. She glanced back at the girl as they prepared to move her into a hospital room.
ย ย ย "I don't know why." Natasha told him. "I don't understand why I want her to trust me so badly. Usually I don't care whether or not someone trusts me. But, when it comes to her, whenever it comes to Olivia, it's different. And I don't know why."
ย ย ย "I think you do." Clint responded, turning to face her as Olivia was taken away. "I think, you do know why you feel that way, you just don't want to admit it to yourself." Clint turned on his heel and walked away, Natasha watching him leave. She took a moment to contemplate over Clint's word, sighing to herself and choosing to ignore it and her feelings that she knew deep down were brewing.

โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ at Olivia's bedside, noticing how peaceful Olivia looked as she slept. Her face was void of stress, and anger, it was calm, relaxed. Natasha frowned to herself, knowing that Olivia now had a new scar because of her.
Olivia let out a small groan, blinking a couple of times before she managed to open her eyes. She turned her head and was surprised to find Natasha sitting there. She furrowed her eyebrows, frowning slightly.
ย ย ย "What are you doing here?" Olivia mumbled, her voice full of sleep. Natasha looked at the woman for a moment, trying to decide what she was going to say.
ย ย ย "I just wanted to make sure you were okay." Natasha gently said.
ย ย ย "Mmm. . . well, I'm fine." Olivia answered her. "You're not here to know whether or not I'm okay, you're here for something else."
ย ย ย "Are you implying I don't care about you?" Natasha quizzed. Olivia let out a tired laugh.
ย ย ย "You caring about someone or something is a joke in itself." Olivia mumbled.
ย ย ย "Do you think I'm incapable of caring, Jade?" Natasha quizzed, cocking her head slightly. Olivia opened her eyes fully and looked at the Russian woman. She gave her a lazy smile before shrugging her shoulders.
ย ย ย "Are you, Romanoff?"
Natasha bit the inside of her cheek, knowing that if she confirmed this then she would be vulnerable. But it was only Olivia. And, if she wanted Olivia to trust her, she needed to tell her truth. The woman sighed before offering Olivia a sideways smile.
ย ย ย "I used to think I wasn't. And then I came here, and I met someone who made my life extremely difficult. I met someone who was hurt on the inside and was letting her anger and pain out on me. And then I cared. I cared about her more than I have anyone because she needed someone, she just doesn't trust me enough to let me be that someone." Natasha truthfully answered her. Olivia knew that Natasha was talking about her, and everything she said was true. Except, Olivia did trust her. Natasha saved her life, Natasha could've left her in the snow to bleed out and die, but she didn't.
ย ย ย "You saved me." Olivia whispered. "After everything I've said to you, and how I've acted towards you, you didn't let me die out there. Why?"
ย ย ย "Because, Clint would've put an arrow in my head and I'd prefer not to die by him." Natasha half joked, though they both knew that that was the truth. Olivia let out a gentle chuckle.
ย ย ย "You're not wrong." Olivia shared a smile with the woman before she became serious again. "But really, why didn't you leave me there to die?"
ย ย ย Natasha let out a soft sigh before she looked up at the woman, meeting her eyes. "I came here to do good, to get back on the right path. And when I saw you get shot. . . I didn't have the same mindset as I usually do. I didn't want to leave you behind, leave you for dead, I became panicked. And I knew I had to help you. You were my teammate, you put your trust in me not to get you killed, and instead I got you shot."
ย ย ย "You're being way too hard on yourself." Olivia told her. "You had my back, you did what you needed to do, the mission was completed."
ย ย ย "But you almost died." Natasha protested.
ย ย ย "Natasha, I always almost die." Olivia assured her. Natasha scoffed and Olivia just smirked in amusement. There was moment of silence as Natasha debated on whether or not she should ask what it is that's been on her mind. "What's on your mind?"ย
ย ย ย The redhead looked back up at Olivia before asking, "Can I ask you a. . . personal question?"
ย ย ย "Depends on the question." Olivia responded. "Ask away."
ย ย ย "What did you mean when you said 'Let me heal'?"
ย ย ย Olivia looked up at her before letting out a soft sigh. She sat up in the bed and Natasha sat up straight and watched as Olivia removed the blanket off of her. She exposed her thigh and nodded towards the place that was stitched up. "Take out the stitches."
ย ย ย "What? No-"
ย ย ย "Natasha. . . just do it." Olivia begged. Natasha looked at the girl before looking around and getting up, grabbing the tweezers. She walked back over and looked at Olivia, unsure. Olivia nodded her head and Natasha looked at the stitches before taking them out. Olivia hissed in pain.
ย ย ย "Nope, I'm putting them back." Natasha stated, shaking her head as the the wound started to bleed. Olivia grabbed her wrists, stopping her from doing so. Natasha looked at the woman, worry clear on her face. Natasha watched as Olivia's eyes glowed blue and she looked back down at the wound, widening her eyes in surprise when it started to seal up on its own. All that was left was a tiny scar.
ย ย ย "H-how did you do that?" Natasha quickly asked. She had never seen anything like it. Of course, she herself healed exponentially quicker than most humans, but she didn't heal that fast. Olivia placed the blanket on her once again and then nodded to the chair Natasha had been previously sitting in.
ย ย ย "Sit. This might take awhile."
